From Amazon best-selling author Avery Maxwell comes a small-town billionaire romance about the one who got away, a determined hero who falls first, a sweet neurodivergent child who steals every scene, and one little kiss that changes everything.
Colton Westbrook
One night in a deserted airport terminal, and I knew I needed more. One kiss, and I was all in. Then she ghosted me, and I don’t know why.
It was a kiss that branded me, scared me, could even ruin me if I were that guy searching for a happily ever after.
But that’s never been me.
I’m not hiding from the paparazzi in my brother’s home, secretly searching for the one that got away. I’m not wandering frozen city streets, hoping I’ll see her again. And I’m definitely not that guy who relies on a crazy old lady and her tarot cards to find a girl.
Until I am.
She was just a girl at the airport who turned into the girl I couldn’t forget.
Winnie Darling is the one who got away.
Then fate, disguised as a meddling old lady, steps in to help me find her again.
I write steamy small towns with big found families—the kind of romances that make your heart race and your soul sigh.
My books, like The Westbrooks, Single Dad Hotline, and Happiness Ever After series, are filled with swoon-worthy heroes, messy but lovable heroines, and small towns you’ll want to call home.
When I'm not writing, I live in joyful chaos with my husband and four kids. You can usually find me cheering on the sidelines at their sporting events, sneaking in writing sprints, or slipping into coffee shops for my daily caffeine fix.

Absolutely loved this book. Colton and Winnie’s story is my favorite, hands down, in the Westbrook Family Ties series.
Colton has been always been perceived as the black sheep on the family. The playboy. The party animal. But all can change with just One Little Kiss.
Colton sees Winnie for the first time in the airport before leaving Boston and has an instant connection to her, but decides not to make his move. Low and behold, his plane arrives in Miami and he sees her once again. They spend the next 12 hours together in an airport learning everything they can about each other. And that is enough for Colton to want to change his ways. He has finally found the Wendy to his Peter Pan. But what happens when she ghosts him?
I loved seeing Colton FALL so hard for Winnie after just one night. He fell so hard and never looked back. When he finally found her again, it was at the exact moment that she really needed someone in her life. Winnie had been struggling for the past year after some serious, heartbreaking things happened in her life. Colton came right in and saved the day.
The progression of their relationship was great. While Colton was all in, Winnie needed some time to get there. Her trust issues ran deep and the Westbrook Family was overwhelming to anyone.
This book was easily the spiciest one that Maxwell has written. We got some great spicy scenes between Colton and Winnie. The dirty talking from Colton was chefs kiss!💋
I loved the relationship between Colton and Weston. From the jump Colton was there and jumped into the father role. He treated Weston like his own and then his family followed suite.
As always, we saw all of the Westbrook’s (blood and adopted) and their significant others, which I loved. Seeing more of Lexi and Easton was amazing as we never really got to see much of them in other books (other than their own). They really stepped up in this one and were there for Colton, Winnie, and Weston.
Overall, this is my favorite book of the Westbrook Brothers series. I cannot wait to the long anticipated book for Ashton that will complete the series!
One Little Kiss is book four of the Westbrook family ties series by Avery Maxwell. As a continuation of the Broken Hearts series, the Westbrook family is blended family -both by blood and those chosen. Each of the Westbrook brothers and adoptee brothers, have taken on roles of the late Mr. Westbrook who taught them to do what is right. In their own way, they have all tried to protect the family and the Westbrook Group, the billion dollar business their beloved dad left to them. Along the way, the boys have overcome personal demons and find their true loves. Colton is the boy who never grew up (que : Kelsey Ballerini's "Peter Pan" ) . He is the prankster, presumed playboy and Pan to his family. They fail to see the truth of who and why he is the way he is. Wendalyn Darling (please do not call her Wendy) is a girl he spent twelve hours with in an airport. They share ONE LITTLE KISS and then she ghosts him. Haunted by the girl who made him want to leave Neverland and grow up, he is shocked when he finds her in his own backyard . Winne has had a rough time over the past two years since that night in the airport. Colton is determined to make her trust him, love him and be his forever. I need to tell you that Avery's books get better and better each time. I was mad at the brothers for the way they treated him, sad for her loss and struggles but very happy for the love he has for Winnie and Weston. Weston is the most personal part of this story for Avery. As a special education teacher, I understood the little boy's sensory issues. As a parent of a child with SPD, Avery gave another piece of her heart to Weston's character. Just like Hatty's anxiety, she wrote with compassion, realism and sensitivity to make the reader understand what is is to be the child and the parent of a child with a sensory disorder. LUV you, Avery! Grab your favorite beverage, a cozy spot and read how the Lost Boy finds his Wendy and so much more!
We are back with the Westbrook family, and I think Colton is pinning to be my favorite! This book gave me so many feels. It is sweet, romantic, emotional and just heartwarming. Colton Westbrook is the quintessential playboy but one night stranded in the airport with the shy and lovely Winne may have reformed this bad boy. Winnie is a gal that has had to grow up fast and be the responsible daughter. She is always worried about others before herself. When she meets the too good to be true Colton, you can say she is a bit skittish. When she discovers who he really is she runs. Now 18 months later it is time for a second chance and to watch Colton turn into a swoon worthy man capable of so much more than he or his family could have ever imagined. I fell in love with Winnie, Colton and the beautiful little man Weston. Be ready to have your heart strings tugged and watch the Westbrook family swoop in and take this little family under their big family wings! ~~Michele McMullen ~~
Get ready to find out just how deep Colton really is! He’s not what he’s pretended to be for so long, but will that hurt or help matters when he finds Winnie again?
This book gave so much. The cracks in the Westbrook family foundation that have been ignored or painted over for a while. The crushing disappointment when those who should have someone’s back fall down on the job for a bit. The fear that all may not be okay, now or ever again, if things aren’t finally set right. And with all that worry and fear, we still got the love that binds this family together. Sure, they screwed up a few times. Or…some of them did. But when it truly counted, those who doubted not only believed, but stepped in front to fight the biggest battle of Winnie’s life with and for her.
As for Colton and Winnie? Wow. Just. Wow. Heat heat heat here. And Colton was not willing to let Winnie or her brother go. They were his heart and the family he wanted for his own from the very start, and he wasn’t about to let them get away. In some ways, Colton is the most mature Westbrook yet. Why? Communication! He knows his family stinks at it so often, so he makes it his mission to over-communicate. And that won me in a big way. Luckily for Winnie, Colton wasn’t ever going to let a misunderstanding ruin anything. Not even one single night. These two so richly deserved their happiness that I wanted to cry when they got everything they’d ever hoped for.
So get comfy. Get the tissues ready. And maybe be careful about where you grab those cookies from while reading. Trust me. You’re in for one heck of a ride here.
The Westbrooks keep getting into my list of best books ever! Will Wendy be able to make Peter Pan wants to grown up and leave Neverland? You need to read this book.
This Small Town Romance will give you all the feelings. Is inevitable laugh out loud with those brothers (by blood and by choice) and all those amazing women besides them. My heart literally ache and broke, I cried too and smile like a dork hahaha. Some interesting twist and turns that makes the story better. Colton makes me swoon for him and at some point I was just like Winnie falling hard and fast. Wes, what can I say, he stole my heart just like Sadie and Tate. Seeing characters from others book is always appreciated (I love them). Great world building and amazing characters, all of them.
Avery you are the BEST in text messages in books. You are my 1-click author.
PS: Listening to One Little Kiss playlist while reading brings the book into another level and is magnificent.
The One Where Peter Pan Becomes the Thupahero My favorite authors have a remarkable way of pulling you into their characters' worlds and making you feel part of it, rather than some outsider looking in. One Little Kiss by Avery Maxwell does just that and it is intense, and steamy, and beautiful, and everything I was hoping it would be. And more. I've been waiting for Colton’s true self to be revealed for a while, and he did not disappoint! Who knew the jokester, the forever-fratboy, the Peter Pan of the family would turn out to be the true thupahero? Not just for his family, but for his perfect match. And he has definitely met his match (in more ways than one) with Winnie. She’s smart, and independent, and fiercely protective and absolutely everything Colton wants and needs. Maxwell weaves together themes of found family and disguised motivations to dig through the many layers of Colton Westbrook, creating a deeply developed character who has always been so much more than what he allows others to see, he was just waiting for the right person to reveal his true character to. And Maxwell peels back even more layers of expectations to reveal that his “Wendy” is so more than the “broken girl with trust issues” she sees herself as. Together, they reveal the best in each other, and themselves. But Kiss is not just a simple love story. It’s also the penultimate novel in Maxwell’s Family Ties series, building tension within the family leading to the ultimate showdown with a long-time adversary. Colton, Winnie, and little Weston’s story brings together the full force of the Westbrook chaos and propels the underlying internal and external conflicts in the series forward, resolving some conflicts, and ultimately setting the scene for the series finale.
Watching this series and its characters develop and grow, find their forevers, and leave difficult pasts behind has been both exhilarating and cathartic. Maxwell’s blend of emotions and details has created some of the most vivid characters and memorable storylines I have ever been immersed in. While I am looking forward to Ashton’s story, I’m also going to be sad to see this series come to a close. Fortunately, both this series and Maxwell’s original series (The Westbrooks: Broken Hearts) have beautiful depth to them and are some of my favorite re-reads. Never having to say goodbye to characters I love is one of the most amazing things, and I will love reacquainting myself with every character in every Avery Maxwell book as I reread both series in the future.
As seen on my blog (Jessie's Reading Corner"): DISCLAIMER: I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
You know that song by Chloe Adams called “Dirty Thoughts”?
I get dirty thoughts about you They get worse when I’m without you
(If you haven’t, here’s a link to the lyric video.)
Let me just saw that Colton Westbrook will give you dirty thoughts while reading his story…*swoon*! I wonder how many bottles of wine Avery had to drink in order to get those scenes written, because he and Winnie certainly burned up the sheets together!
Colton Westbrook is the second youngest in the Westbrook family. He’s the jokester/player in the family and everyone calls him Pan, because he’s a boy who doesn’t want to grow up. Until he meets Wendalyn Darling (aka Winnie) at the airport and his life is forever changed. When Colton and Winnie reunite a year later, Winnie is not the same person and Colton has to work extra hard at earning her trust.
This was another phenomenal story by Avery! Colton, Winnie and Weston stole my heart! This story will definitely tug at your heartstrings. As mentioned, Winnie’s been through a lot since she first saw Colton and she has a hard time trusting people as a result. I loved watching Colton work at breaking down her walls and earning her trust. Weston, Winnie’s little brother, is another piece of the story that will just wreck your heart, and I absolutely loved how he and Colton bonded. I loved how the Westbrooks, when they realized how important Winnie and Weston were to Colton, accepted them into their fold.
I definitely would recommend this book to anyone. Avery is one of my favorite authors and this series is just phenomenal! If you like steamy, emotional stories with aspects of found family and a hint of suspense, this is the book/series for you!
Thank you Avery, Rhon and That’s What She Said Publishing for giving me the opportunity to read this wonderful story as an ARC!
I have to admit, with every book that Avery writes they keep getting better and better.
We have Colton aka Peter Pan trying to find his Wendy..which he does with Winne. Speed dating in the airport gives Colton a taste of what he is missing, a women to call his own.
When he finds his Winnie he will not stop till he claims her. Winnie has experienced loss and with raising her brother. When Colton swoops in it is hard for her to trust anyone. That is a major theme in this book; TRUST can she give it when that is all Colton wants from her.
"Everyone needs a rock, Winnie. Someone to trust. A partner in this cruel world."
We get more interaction from all the brothers and we see a side of Colton that hurts your heart. I really would of liked to punch Pres and Ash, they totally were buttheads in some parts. That is what family is they fight, then have each others back.
5* Colton has always kept things light and fun in the Westbrook family, the King of glitter the nickname Pan from Peter really suits him. He's having fun and doesn't know what he's missing but gg knows his Wendy is out there. Wendalyn finds it hard to trust and let go, having never had anyone to rely on except her mum. A chance meeting at the airport has Colton struck on her. But things aren't going to be easy for Colton, he's determined that cc and Wes are his, now to show her.
This book had me laughing, crying and cussing! Colton Westbrook’s brothers may think he’s Peter Pan and will never grow up or take life seriously but when he finds his Wendy, I mean Winnie, he falls fast and hard leaving Neverland behind forever. Of course being a playboy on the front page of all the gossip magazines doesn’t help him win over his love and a old family enemy does everything he can to make sure It appears he hasn’t changed no matter what Colton does to prove it.
Avery Maxwell thank you for bringing out all the feels in this story. With every book I fall in love with the Westbrook chaos a little more.
What a fantastic story. Colton and Winnie story gave me all the feels. Colton may have been seen as a Playboy but inside he hid a different side. I enjoyed the way Avery captured the feelings and character development and growth between Colton and Winnie. This was a great read. The text messages one of my favorite part of the book.
One Little Kiss by Avery Maxwell picks up the story of the Westbrooks family, with the next instalment in the series. Colton is the third brother to get his moment in the spotlight. I’m really loving this series – each one is as hard to put down as the ones that have gone before it!
Colton is known by his family as Peter Pan – they all think he is the immature one, a bit of a screw up, and not really one to be taken too seriously. So, when he tries to share that he is feeling serious about a woman that he’s met, he doesn’t really get much support. But he ends up surprising them, as it turns out he is VERY serious. (Except for the glitter bombs – he’s very NOT serious about his glitter bombs…)
Winnie and Colton meet at an airport, when they’re both stuck there due to a flight cancellation, and they spend the evening keeping each other company. But it doesn’t end well and Winnie decides she doesn’t want any more contact with Colton. However, that doesn’t mean she forgets about him. So, when they meet up again by chance, she is rather torn about what to do. And in the time between the airport and ‘now’, her situation has changed dramatically. As have her responsibilities.
But Colton is strong and steadfast in his goal of winning her over. And it’s not just HER heart that he wins, either. You might even say he does a ‘thupa’ job of it, too.
Winnie and Colton’s story has quite a lot of emotion to it. It will definitely make you feel! And Avery Maxwell has done a fantastic job of handling the sensitive topics covered in this book gently and with dignity, without really trying to tread too gently. Instead, I feel as if it was managed in a very genuine way.
This book brings back all of the fantastic characters that we’ve met in the previous books, too. This is a very entertaining cast of characters! I also really enjoy the somewhat unusual method of having the stories run side by side, rather than one after the other.
One Little Kiss (in fact the whole Westbrook series) will suit any of you who like to be entertained by a story that manages to make it feel as if you’re being invited into (and included in) the character’s family. It is cute in parts, it will make you laugh, it will tug on the heart strings & I’d better not forget to mention, there is plenty of steam to be found between these pages. In other words, there’s something here for everyone!
Thank you to Avery Maxwell for my copy of this book. The opinions expressed are my own.
It’s taken me days of letting Colton and Winnie settle in my mind and heart before I felt able to find the right words to describe my thoughts and feelings about this story. As a reader I’m in complete awe of all the hard work and talent that goes into creating a world filled with amazing and relatable characters that we end up falling in love with! I absolutely love Colton and Winnie! Oh and that adorable Wes! In addition to an incredible chemistry and building romance, there’s also a powerful message woven into this story…… all is not what it seems! We’ve always seen Colty as the fun carefree Westbrook, but don’t judge a book by its cover because he’s so much more! There are so many scenes(especially the airport)that I can still to this day recall with such vivid clarity! That right there is the sign of an amazing author! I want everyone to experience Colton and Winnie for themselves, so I’m going to leave you with just these last words…… powerful emotions, crackling chemistry, steam(hotness in the best possible way), and a love that takes your breath away! This book is an emotional journey that will bring you through to such a beautiful and epic happily ever after!!!! Five stars and so much more!
Avery Maxwell, luv you and your words! Every book I read I think it is the best until I get to your next book and you make it better than the last. I devour your books.
Colton is the jokester and the “dirty talking (good gawd)” playboy but he is so very important in keeping his family circle (blood and choice) tight and together. He is honest and faithful and loyal. When Winnie enters the picture the playboy is gone. She captures his heart. Winnie has so many trust issues because everyone lets her down and leaves her. My heart breaks for her and she definitely needed to be part of the Westbrook hugging family. Then comes Wes and he did steal my heart too. These three were the perfect little family.
I loved seeing so much of the Westbrook family in this book. I laughed a little too hard at the cookie scene, glitter bombs, girls night out and the yard decor. The best Avery!
If you are looking for a book full of heart, laughter, steam, a close family bond and the best hea, don’t miss this one. One Little Kiss will definitely make 2022 best read books.
I’m not sure where to even start because this book is one of the best that I have ever read! OMG Avery Maxwell, I was so looking forward to One Little Kiss, but I had no idea that it would be this fantastic! You will not want to put it down. It seems that Avery’s books get better with each one. I couldn’t wait to see what she did with playboy Colton and she definitely did not disappoint me! Colton’s love for Winnie and especially his love for Weston was amazing to read. There’s no way that you can read this book and not fall in love with Colton, Winnie and especially Weston! I love how she has made the Westbrook family be so tight knit. They are there for each other no matter what. Please read the series in order so that you understand just how great of a storyteller Avery Maxwell is. I promise that you won’t be disappointed!
Be still my beating heart…..this book is freaking amazing!! Colton’s story is my absolute favorite in this series!! Alpha, playful and always keeping his family on their toes. But how he is perceived by his family couldn’t be more wrong. Winnie hasn’t had much in life but she is motivated for the future, except life stepped in and her future could not be more uncertain.
But before Colton became the family bad boy and before life dealt Winnie a bad hand, there was one night and one little kiss...
This story is a roller coaster ride of emotions. It is heart wrenching at times but then it is oh so hawt🔥! The characters are absolutely lovable and the story heartfelt. I laughed, I cried, I was angry then I swooned, I prayed that GG wouldn’t give me nickname, but in the end, glitter and love prevail!!❤️ Can’t wait for more in this series!!
It all started at an airport. Colton and Winnie’s story is about love, loss, trust and family. Colton is known as Peter Pan in his family thinking he will never grow up. Winnie on the other hand has grown up finding it hard to trust anyone and raising her little brother Weston.
These two are prefect for each other because they help each other not only grow but they both added things to other’s lives they were missing. Avery did a great job writing the book. There are funny scenes, emotional scenes and steamy scenes. For those who haven’t read the other books in the series Avery does a great job at introducing each of Westbook boy, their wives and others
Overall this book is great. It hits on all things a love story should have and does a great job at reminding you that family doesn’t have to just be blood related and that family will always be there no matter what.
This is one of my favorite books ever! Colton and Winnie just made my heart melt with every page. To see her overcome her struggles and Colton's love of Weston ooh made my heart melt into a million pieces. I could not put it down and you wont either! So many good things enjoyed every page of the book!
Every book in the Westbrook brother series gets better and better. Colton and Winnie were a match made in fairytale heaven. In true Avery Maxwell form she leaves you wanting more. I cannot wait for the next book!
Avery Maxwell has once again delivered another fantastic addition to her ( Westbrook’s Family Ties Series ) I don’t even have the write words to express how much I absolutely adore pretty much all things written by Avery !! She is not only so extremely talented but she is also one my my top 10 favorite authors . Off the charts chemistry, angst , intrigue, heartbreak, second chances , love , romance, humor , witty batter . Unexpected surprises, emotionally charged moments and two of the most wonderful characters you will ever meet . One Little kiss has it all and more . It was pretty much impossible not to fall in love with both Colton and Winnie , their just so likable , so relatable and perfect for one another I’m not going to give away any details about the storyline as this really is a book you need to read yourself . But be prepared because you will laugh , you will cry and you will find yourself rooting so hard for Colton and Winnie to get their happy ending . It’s not often I come across a author / series that has the ability to captivate me so completely or stir as many emotions in me as all Avery’s books due . She has this amazing gift of knowing just how to grab onto all your emotions and hook you from start to finish. One Little Kiss is definitely one of the best books I’ve read this year
Colton, Winnie and little Wes have stolen my heart! This book has everything a great book needs. A swoon-worthy hero, a stronger than she thinks heroine, and a storyline that evokes all the emotions and leaves one feeling wrung out but blissful. Colton succumbs to love in the middle of an airport when he meets the woman, his Wendy, the tarot card reading GG told him he would meet but wasn’t ready for. He immediately begins to think of her as his and assigns her the name of Winnie as he begins his quest to know everything about her. For twelve blissful, sometimes super hilarious hours, they talk, laugh dance and reveal pieces of themselves to each other. An agreement to meet beyond customs turns in a fruitless search by Colton for his one, the woman who claimed his heart in an instant and then inexplicably left him behind. Two years pass before they meet again, but both of their lives have changed, and not for the better. Having found her again, Colton is not about to let Winnie get away again. Her new guardianship of her special needs brother is no deterrent, for young Wes is a truly lovable and adorable little boy who only requires a little more thoughtful care. Colton will have to help Winnie battle her demons, those within her and those set on destroying her. At first, Colton is at odds with his family, but it doesn’t take long for his family to catch up and to surround him, Winnie and little Wes with their love and protection.
The whole Westbrook clan and their adopted family members from past books show up throughout this book to make it even more enjoyable and memorable. This is another wonderful book to add to my keeper list. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series…..Ashton’s story. I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Everyone dreams of finding that certain someone who will sweep you off your feet. Or if you are an avid book reader you dream of a book that will run away with your heart and your imagination. One Little Kiss is here to do both and I couldn't be happier. Colton Westbrook, forever the little brother, the lost boy, the man child with no real purpose. Except for that's not who he is at all. Wendalyn Darling oldest daughter to a free spirited single mom who does everything in her control to keep things safe and inline. One night in an airport and the courses of two lives, well more in the long run are forever changed. This is a beautiful story about truly what growing up is all about. And it's not about finding control, it's not about cutting back on fun, it's about embracing life's chaos fully and learning to balance it with all life throws your way. I have voluntarily left this review.
Appearances are not always as they appear. They can be so much better. Sometimes it only takes a moment to see your world through different lenses and opinions to change. The heart knows what it wants and the head just has to catch up.
Colton has been living his life according to the description of everyone else’s opinions but as I stated appearances can be very deceiving. It’s time for a change and it seems he found the person who can help him come out from I’ll Never Grow Up to the man he’s always wanted to be. If only Winnie would want the same thing and trust what is in front of her.
There’s a lot to take in from this book. It definitely captures your attention, your heart and your soul. Yes, it’s a love story but it’s a love story on so many levels. It’s heartbreaking at times (have your issues ready), it’s informative, hot, funny and captivating. You will fall in love with Wes. It’s a book you can tell that the author did a deep dive on issues and a lot of soul searching.
It’s part of a series, actually it’s part of two series, but it definitely can be read as a standalone. Why would you do that? After you read this I have little doubt you won’t go back and read this author’s entire catalogue.
It’s a story I didn’t want to end, although I did read it in record time. I see a reread in my near future. Fortunately, I know there’s still at least one more book coming in this series and I can’t wait! Let me just end with, this is so much more than just One Little Kiss!
One Little Kiss: Finding Foreverland If you are a fan of Avery Maxwell’s The Westbrooks series, Broken Hearts, and Family Ties, then you know the family’s Peter Pan, fun-loving, prankster, Colton Westbrook. If you have been paying attention to the subtle hints and easter eggs Avery has hidden in the first 8 books, you already know that there is more to Pan than meets the eye… or GG’s tarot cards. In One Little Kiss, our beloved, not so lost boy, leaves Neverland to find his Foreverland in the guise of a curvy, complex, and untrusting girl first glimpsed in an airport and a special little boy who sees the Thupahero behind the glitter bombs. In her signature style, Maxwell brings a level of naked honesty to this band of ragtag billionaires and the resilient women who love them. She doesn’t hide from the uncomfortable “real” challenges and emotions, instead, she explores them, confronts them, and finds healing for them, and as a result, makes readers feel seen... and I think that makes the romance and the steam feel more visceral and authentic. I wholeheartedly recommend this book, which ends in a happily ever after but is part of an interconnected series that is best read in order.
Each story gets better and better. Colton, the brother who doesn't want to grow up, or that's what his family thinks, they don't really know him! Loved the build up in the airport, speed dating, movies, Twenty questions. The two of them are like pieces of a puzzle trying to fit them together, but they can't seem to figure it out. He's like a bulldozer. Every chapter there is something else to show that he's all in, but Winnie is so skeptical. The Westbrooks are quite the handful all together and it's so nice to keep reading about them in each new chapter. The texting is hilarious, Weston is super sweet and cute, and the ladies and their girl nights, spectacular! Trust is big in this storyline and there are many different ways to earn it and also break it. It was truly a privilege to read this story. "He's the engine, Winnie's the heart, and I'm the caboose". Total swoon worthy read, this whole series is. I'm so glad to have found this author.
Colton is one of those guys not interested in relationships that is until he meets Winnie. There are immediate sparks as you read Colton changes into the swoon worthy character. Avery really shined with this well written story. It was captivating and great story to get lost in. I received this ARC and my honest review is voluntary
I absolutely loved Colton (Peter Pan to his family) and Wendalyn (Winnie). Colton has always been like a child to his family, unwilling to grow up which frustrated his brothers. He needed to find a reason to leave Neverland & he found it with one little kiss. Winnie had had a hard but fulfilling life when she met Colton at the airport. My heart melted when I saw how sweet Colton was with little Weston and how much he cared for that precious little boy. This book was amazing & I could not put it down.
Of all the Westbrook boys it is Colton who has the persona of Peter Pan, never wanting to grow up but once he finds his Wendy his life is forever changed. It takes a delayed flight and being stranded at the airport with a beautiful woman to make him realize it is time for a change. But things are not always what they seem and no relationship is real without its own sets of hurdles. With the sparks bring them to Neverland? Or will reality be better than make believe? Once again Avery Maxwell brings the readers characters that are multidimensional and easy to fall in love with. Family dynamics and figuring out their own version of reality was not only entertaining but also heartwarming. This right here is romance at its best.
12 hours in an airport terminal and one little kiss was all it took for Peter Pan to realize finding his Wendy was worth leaving Neverland for. Colton is the outgoing, prankster, wild Westbrook brother. Wendalyn Darling is the one that always made sure everyone was cared for and didn’t let anyone in. 18 months after their chance meeting in the Miami airport terminal and drastic life changes for both, they are given a second chance at love.
Colton, Winnie and Weston stole my heart and ran away with it. Their story has become my favorite from Avery’s entire series. The two of them are sweet and sassy, but Colton is a dirty talker and makes your panties melt. There were moments I was belly laughing, crying like a baby and just swooning over how Colton swooped in like a superhero and saved the day for Winnie and Weston and gave them all the happily ever after they deserved.
