The Men #9

Handling Mr. Harper

Rate this book
“Two pink lines. Two potential fathers. One decision that could ruin everyone.”

They call me Sophie ‘The Handler’ Havers at my job as a criminal prosecutor because I’ve never lost a case.
There’s nothing I can’t handle.
Including Drew Harper— the man who’s been obsessed with me from afar for years. He’s intense, protective, and possessive.
I bump into him the night after I throw my lying ex out.
He tells me that if he had things his way, he’d be my husband already.
So, I do something reckless. I tell him to show me what being his means. And I’m swept up into his dizzying world where he treats me like a goddess.

Then two pink lines appear.

I don’t know who the father is.
But both men want to play daddy.
Only, they have history. And not the good kind.
They’ll both fight dirty to get their own way.
And that’s only the start of my problems.
Suddenly I’m facing something bigger than any case in my career and I’m left with only one option.

I thought I could handle anything. But this could be the first time I lose it all.

I mean the plot twist creeped me out.

Sophie caught her boyfriend cheating after they hooked up, he was already married.

The next day she had a one night stand kinda thing with Drew (who has been obsessed with her for four years).

She gets pregnant and doesn't know who the father is her ex or drew?

The doctor says she is having twins, and one belongs to cheating ex and the other belongs to Drew. It's a rare occurrence.

NOW NOW THE CHEATING EX BOYFRIEND IS DREW'S FATHER💀

I don’t know how to feel about this one… I was hoping it would go a different route, but it only partially did. I don’t like that Sophie’s daughter is Drew’s sister. The son is Drew’s, but the other part just creeps me out.

What do you do when you are in a book slump? Because I have no clue. I 100% blame Elle for this. This book was on fire. I fell in love with Drew and Sophia they truly are the it couple. At this exact moment no one will replace Drew. Drew is the ultimate book boyfriend. Sophia is the friend you wish you had. Them together was so intense. Out of the whole series this is by far my favorite. I can’t gush enough over this book.

First book by this author, and will definitely be adding the previous books to my TBR.

Sophie, is an independent and strong heroine, her focus is her job, and she is an unbeatable lawyer. She doesn't have time for relationships, but finds herself in one...her relationship comes with zero complications. But there in lies the problem when "easy" turns out to be a betrayal that completely blindsides her.

And a few hours after her breakup she comes face to face with the man she turned down four years ago.

Drew, four years later and still obsessed with Sophie, he knows he doesn't stand a chance but when he finds out that she's single..he will do everything to make sure she knows she's his.

Omg!! I honestly did not expect that twist as I was reading 🙈 and as the story moves ahead I loved the trust, love and honesty that the main characters had with each other....and the spicy scenes 🔥🥵

It was a bit long and dragged here and there for me but overall, it was a great read.

Loved the supportive friends they had, will certainly be reading their books.

‘You might as well have made it the law—Drew Harper must be obsessed with Sophie Havers at all times.’

Oh my goodness, what a rollercoaster!!
I’ve been looking forward to Drew’s book since meeting him earlier in the series and was hoping Sophie would be his girl- he’s been pining for her a long time!
Years ago she was the other girl on a blind date and he has been obsessed with her ever since, but she wouldn’t give him the time of day. But now’s his chance.

I loved Sophie’s character- she’s so strong and independent yet she didn’t see leaning on Drew as her feelings for him grew as any kind of weakness.

Some of the side characters in this book made me very mad and I don’t want to give any spoilers but I’m sure there are a couple of them who will be universally hated by readers!

It’s almost impossibly not to love Drew and feel your heart break for him at times during this story, but remember Elle’s motto- love always wins.

Thank you Elle for this arc in exchange for my honest review.

Elle had crafted something truly special in the Men series and she nailed it again with Drew and Sophie’s story. Their love is tender, deeply sweet and beautiful, which had me hooked from the first page.

Drew met Sophie on a double date. He was immediately drawn to her, mesmerised by her wit, her drive and her beauty. From that moment, he knew she was it for him. Funny enough, she was actually his best friend Logan’s date. Despite his persistent pursuit, she wouldn’t go out with him.

Fast forward four years, Sophie bumped into Drew the night after she threw her lying ex out. He was not going to let her slip away again, this time he showed her what it meant to be his. Their chemistry was truly combustible. The spice was so delicious, so filthy, so good.

Then, two pink lines appeared and Sophie didn’t know what to do. Two men with bad blood could be the father and they would stop at nothing to get their own way.

Reed was my favourite mmc from this series but Drew had completely dethroned him. He is the absolute best guy there is. His love and devotion to Sophie is out of this world and I was completely swept away by him. There is no way you can read this book and not fall for him.

He was literally a walking green flag. The way he supported her like a partner, worshipped her like a goddess and loved her unconditionally like a soulmate. Sophie is one lucky woman. What I loved most about their relationship was the trust they built based on open and honest communication. They had no problem showing their vulnerability and vocalising their needs.

Nothing could have prepared me for the plot twist after plot twist. Elle had certainly kept me on the edge of my seat with this one. Be prepared for drama, angst and a whole lot of secrets.

Elle delivered yet another vivid, heartwarming and achingly romantic story. I couldn’t tell you how happy I was to see Drew find his happily ever after. This is no doubt a top read of the year for me.

Ok this is my first book by this author, and it's the first book that I read in this series... I say this because I had no trouble following along or understanding the back stories.

I did read this as an ARC.
I think this is more erotica than romance though, so if that's your jam - as it is mine - dive right in.

This story follows Drew & Sophie. Sophie is a big shot lawyer from NY but moved to London. Drew is in construction, I didn't fully understand his job but it was not relevant, except he's loaded.

These two meet in a double date situation. She was with his best friend, and he was with her best friend. They just vibed. When Sophie leaves mid date, he follows her to the street and asks her out. She declined of course.  He tells her that they WILL be together.  He is determined.

Well of course they end up together, no surprise there. 🙄 That's the gist of the book.

NOW, I have to try & tell you what I liked about this book without spoiling it.....

1. The suspense & outcome as to WHO the ex-boyfriend really is, was an audible GASP for me. I loved it.

2. The results of the paternity test are friggin great. I loved that bit of suspense and the outcome could NOT have been more great.

3. As soon as her case ended up becoming a threat to her day to day life, I knew who did it.

4. Mr. Harper has a breeding kink, and it was done SUPER WELL in this book.

This books is definitely more erotic than swoony romance, I didn't expect clean by any means but this surprised me a little bit. I found myself wanting a tiny bit less, just a smidge, because the plot line was so good.
But those scenes were done so well.

I recommend reading this alone. If you catch my drift.

This book is absolutely perfect. I loved both Drew and Sophie. Together they are amazing.
Their chemistry and tension jumps off the page. Their love was undeniable.
Obviously a few twists chucked in. I will say happy tears were shed quite early on. Also, I think this is Elle's kinkiest book to date. I devoured this book and didn't want it to end.

Another great story from Elle Nicoll. The chemistry between Drew and Sophie was smokin hot. Not to mention how unbelievably sweet, loving and protective Drew is to her throughout the entire book. If you’re a fan of surprise pregnancy, he falls first, and a cinnamon roll hero then give this one a shot.

This is a regurgitation of a Dateline story. I didn't like it when I watched it the first time.

Elle, on the other hand, is a great writer, and while this one didn't thrill me, the series overall is phenomenal.

Drew and Sophie’s story ahhh these are what dreams are made of 🤣 but seriously! This man met her 4 years prior and she never once got out of his head or his soul. Once he saw her after 4 years had passed, he knew he had to seal it. This story was the first time I read the pregnancy kink and I loved it! Drew didn’t care she was pregnant by her ex which came to be a huge part of his story. Those babies were his! This book had it all. The thrills. The tears. The love. I enjoyed this book and can’t wait for the next one!

I absolutely loved Drew and Sophie’s story, Elle has such a way with her characters and the development of them through the storyline. Loved having some of the characters from other books in the Men series pop up too. Not an easy journey for these two and certainly some twists and turns in their relationship but true to Elle’s saying Love always wins!

When does Elle not kill it? Cos she damn SMASHED IT!!

*****
Elle has done it again; another fantastic book!

All those sweet moments at the beginning really scared me, they were so in love and so adorable together.
I was dreading the angst that Elle is known for. But then BAM! Elle drops a definite atomic bomb with those twists!!!!!
After the twists drop, everything changes and it really ups the ante and adds so much drama and tension!

Elle really made Drew and Sophie work for their happiness! She put them through the wringer…. Multiple times!!!!

The spice was definitely spicing and as always with Elle, it’s always so damn hot! Drew had such filthy mouth was absolutely hot!

Drew was a man obsessed, he clearly needed it to be patient for and to chase Sophie! But I think he’d say that she was worth the wait, and I totally agree; their story was worth it!

Thank you Elle Nicoll for an early copy.

This book was one improbable situation after another.

I mean—what are the chances that you sleep with both a father and son on the same day… and end up pregnant by both of them? (Okay, I’ll give it to her—they aren’t blood-related, but still, father and son??)

Overall, this book moved way too fast. So many things happened in such a short time span. They met once years ago, ran into each other again, and suddenly they’re the love of each other’s lives? I don’t mind a little insta-love, but honestly, I didn’t understand Drew’s obsession with Sophie. It felt less like he was obsessed with her and more like he was obsessed with the idea of becoming a father—and since Sophie was pregnant, she just became part of that fantasy.

There were also just so many extra tension elements thrown in for the sake of drama, and most of it felt really forced.

That being said—the spice was great, and surprisingly, I actually liked the writing style. The author knows how to pull you into the story, and the pacing, while fast in plot, flowed smoothly in the writing itself. But sadly, that wasn’t enough to redeem the story for me. So personally, I wouldn’t recommend this one.

I love Elle Nicoll and have read all her book which I have enjoyed immensely. However, this one just didn't do it for me. This would have to be the most convoluted baby/daddy story I have ever read. There were parts that were great, parts that were cringe worthy and parts that were just ewwwww. It won't stop me from reading more Elle Nicoll books but this was just not for me.

Handling Mr. Harper is the 9th book in the The Men series. It has interconnecting characters, twist and turns, suspense, steamy chemistry, surprise pregnancy and a HEA. The MMC is an obsessed cinnamon roll hero with a breeding kink and the FMC is a smart lawyer with a backbone. Great book with a very unique plot and I will be reading more by this new to me author.

I want to thank @theauthor.agency for my digital copy and in return I voluntarily leave an honest review.

Sophie Havers has agreed to a double date with a friend. But her friends date, Drew Harper, is attracted to her and asks her out at the end of the evening. Sophie turns him down and threatens a restraining order when he keeps calling so, he backs off, knowing she's the woman for him.

Four years later, Sophie and Drew are at hotel grand opening, she is there drowning her sorrows with her bestie over her break up with her cheating ex. However, Drew has drawn her attention this time around and she ends up spending the night with him on the one condition that they will be seriously dating.

Only two pink lines show up soon there after and she has two men who could be the father and neither man wants to give her up. One has always wanted to be a father and the other has never been a good one and has ties to Drew.

Decisions, decisions are to be made when it comes to a particular Mr. Harper...

The term cinnamon roll has never applied to a book boyfriend more than it does to Drew Harper. He is pure gooey, squishy, and sweet, but only when it comes to Sophie. She brings out all his goodness, and I love that we see that intense and super caring side with her, yet he still has a rough and grumpy side that others get.

Four years ago, Sophie and Drew met for the first time, and Drew knew she was his one, but Sophie knocked him back and said no. Drew never got over her, so when he sees her at a function and she finally reciprocates his advances, he makes sure it is forever.

“I can’t f*ck you and walk away after, Sophie. It doesn’t work like that.”. “I f*ck you and I get to keep you forever. What do you say to that?”

Their relationship once it begins is super fast-paced, made even more intense by the fact that she finds out not long after they begin that she’s pregnant; only she doesn’t know who the father is, Drew or her ex, who cheated on her. It should make Drew run away, but his obsession with Sophie combined with his desire to be a father makes him fall even deeper.

The deal with the pregnancy and Sophie’s ex is complicated, but I loved how Drew took everything on and didn’t allow it to have a negative effect. He was so positive, and he also communicated beautifully, which is unusual for book men, but everything he said felt sincere, and that just made him even more likeable.

It’s not all plain sailing though, especially when it’s revealed who her ex is, and it makes for an angsty read, as he definitely has some questionable actions, but I loved it and thought it was really well written and provided just enough drama while also showing what a unicorn Drew is.

It’s a great read full of spice, passion, wit, and emotion, and I devoured it as eagerly as Drew likes to devour Sophie!

Handling Mr. Harper
By Elle Nicoll

Mr. Harper had butterflies going crazy in my stomach, I was constantly swooning. Elle Nicoll created an actual unicorn with this character. I’m putting my request out there – if you find a real-life Drew Harper, send him my way or at least a brother!!

Handling Mr. Harper is such an enjoyable read and had me turning pages faster than usual. Drew (MMC) has always had Sophie (FMC) in the back of his mind after meeting her four years ago on a blind date – she was not his date though, as she’ll remind him throughout their story. He’s on the administrative side of a construction company and she’s a prosecutor who works hard for her clients. She’s working on a case where she continually gets bad feelings about it, and she even receives threats. When a celebration party brings Drew & Sophie to the same place at the same time years after that blind date, and on the heels of a breakup between Sophie and her ex-boyfriend, fate delivers their second chance.

Drew & Sophie are spice-on-spice-on-spice! Their chemistry is electric and it was beautifully written! As they are in their early stages of dating, Drew is convinced Sophie is “it” for him and he is very serious about it. I believe Sophie found it endearing but didn’t take his pledge as serious as he meant it initially. When she realizes she is pregnant and the estimated gestation leaves the window of conception around the time she broke up with her ex-boyfriend and when she got together with Drew the first time, she realizes Drew is completely serious about his declaration of wanting to be with her forever. The level of support and adoration Drew shows her after she shares her news is incredible. On top of that, she discovers he has a pregnancy kink – as in, he knows she’s pregnant with what will be their baby and it makes him overcome with lust and desire. I was jealous of Sophie at this point because I have never experienced a man with this type of kink but it was hot AF. Also, since she has been bossy since the moment he met her, he nicknames her “Boss” and hands-down, this is my favorite pet name from any romance book I have read. He also calls her “Mama” which is sweet, but Boss was what got me!

As Sophie continues with her case for client Chelsea, the seriousness of what she is digging in to intensifies and those around her start to become concerned with her safety, especially knowing she is pregnant. Around the same time, a MAJOR plot twist drops and if your jaw doesn’t hit the floor, I want to know why because it took me a few minutes to process and continue when I read chapter 17! This outed secret threatens to ruin more than one relationship and we never saw it coming!

With this new secret coming to light, Drew and Sophie continue to face challenges from others as they are becoming more serious in their relationship and her pregnancy progresses. There’s another surprise surrounding the first appointment with the OB doctor – also leaving me awestruck! They keep battling the obstacles thrown their way and I was glad to see they stuck together through the majority of these issues, always vowing to communicate with each other to keep no secrets. This is what ultimately saves their relationship in the end, though they have a period of eight tumultuous days apart very close to when Sophie is expected to deliver but leave it to Sophie to pick up on things others didn’t, putting two-and-two together to end the intentional friction being created by another character. I felt the grief and agony these characters were going through during this time apart – I was so sad for them! Alas, Elle Nicoll gave us a satisfying ending with an entertaining epilogue!

I recommend this book to hopeless romantics who enjoy all the spice, cuz Mr. Harper brings it and Sophie can hold her own when he does!

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Review for handling mr harper

I got an early copy of Handling Mr Harper and I absolutely loved it. In fact there aren’t enough words on this planet to say how much! Sophie and Drew are absolute couple goals and total perfection. It was one heck of a rollercoaster ride from start to finish and I couldn’t put it down. There were more twists and turns and definitely more drama than a soap opera and it had me completely sucked in.

So excited to finally get to meet my man Drew who has been appearing in many of Elle’s books for a while and he’s finally getting his own book. Drew is the perfect swoon worthy male lead. He works with Tanner who we met in Discovering Mr X and he’s been obsessed with Sophie from way back. He knows she’s the one for him and will do whatever it takes to make her his and takes all the things she and life throws at him in his stride. He knows she’s the one and goes after her but in the most clever, gentlemanly way ever. We also get to find out more or his history and meet more of his family (as we’ve met his sister Maddy already). Sophie is also an amazing but complex female lead. She’s the sister of Holly from book one (Meeting Mr Anderson). She’s feisty, fiery and knows who she is and what she’s worth, even if she questions herself at times. But then what strong, confident woman doesn’t? She’s an awesome lawyer that kicks ass and she handles whatever the world throws at her with confidence on the outside but you see her softer, vulnerable inside shell at times too. She’s a little bit of a character but one you can’t help fall in love with. She’s been our man Drew’s obsession for a long time and I was so happy when they finally got together but of course life doesn’t always go the way you hope and the twists and turns just start coming one after another until you are completely shaken up and speechless. But don’t worry, with Elle’s books, love always wins and they have a beautiful ending which is just perfection. The spicy chapters are completely on fire and had me squirming on many occasions. There’s a pregnancy kink which I’d never come across in a book before but Elle wrote it perfectly so it wasn’t uncomfortable like I thought it would be (it was surprisingly hot if I’m honest). The chemistry between the two of them is off the charts and I’m a little bit jealous of Sophie because Drew sounds like the dream man between the sheets. I also love the cute nicknames he gives her.

I was really happy to see a cameo of Holly and Jay and their two kids as their book is another of my top favourites and I loved their story so that was amazing. Plus we got a little glimpse of quite a few other characters like Rachel and Tanner, Dax, Logan and Maddy and even Griffin and I love how Elle managed to sneak them all into the story.

Once again Elle has absolutely outdone herself with this book and it’s pure brilliance. I didn’t think it would be possible for her to top Trapped with Mr Walker for me because Reed has always been my favourite but damn Drew has absolutely won my heart and Handling Mr Harper has become my new favourite of the Men series and I’ve read every single one. I urge you to run not walk to go and read this book. You won’t be disappointed because it is 10\10 stars amazing and one do the best books I’ve read for a long time. If you want a book with plenty of spice, a strong female lead, a true hero of a male lead who is handsome and good in bed plus enough twists and turns for an entire theme park of rollercoasters with a happy ending then this book is for you. Don’t delay, start reading it today!

1st reading: Well written prose, but with numerous grammatical and punctuation errors (e.g., run-on sentences, sentence fragments, subject-verb disagreement, incorrect usage of pronouns). The plot is somewhat predictable, and there are plenty of subplots. The three main characters (Sophie, Drew, and Henry) are three-dimensional, but you could argue there's not much change or growth over the course of the novel.
Readers, the author finally did it! She finally wrote a story where the couple is honest and open with each other throughout the entire piece and all the conflict is external. The circumstances are seriously effed up, and Henry's character is truly vile, but the relationship between Sophie and Drew is inspirational. We've been waiting for Drew to get his chance for four years, ever since the second book ("Mr X") when he mentions having met someone on a double date - not his date - and swears she's the one, even driving all the way out to Bath to have a date with her (which she ditches). We even know it's Sophie, Holly's sister from the first book ("Mr Anderson"), so their relationship is inevitable, no matter how long it takes.
Typically I'm not a fan of books that center on pregnancy or children, but this one is vastly different from the average pregnancy romance fic. There are so many layers of potential angst - and ick - but Sophie and Drew are smart, strong, and truly devoted to each other. And when I say "smart," I mean it. They agree from the beginning to be open and never to keep secrets, and they stick to it, not giving in to the predictable (and irritating) trap of being afraid of how the other will react to something and thus not talking it through. They also don't let anyone pull the wool over their eyes and manage to save themselves when all looks completely bleak. This is how successful relationships should work.
On a completely separate note, I continue to have issues with there being American versions of these books. Again, we see "trunk" instead of "boot," "bar" instead of "pub"... and Logan's physique is likened to a quarterback's. WTF. I know Brits aren't ignorant of American football, but please. That wouldn't, shouldn't, be the first comparison that would occur to a Brit. I just don't see the point in making these sorts of edits.

Sophie and Drew’s story, and what a story it is. “Two pink lines….. two potential fathers…”. And this book is messy. Sophie is a high powered attorney, and Drew is as well. They meet years earlier when Sophie agrees to be a last minute stand in for her best friend who was going on a double date. She talks Sophie into showing as the second even though Sophie didn’t really want to. Drew is the man she meets. He’s instantly taken by Sophie and wants to get to know her, she however, isn’t having it.. she’s not in the market for a relationship and blew him off. He continues to try to pursue her for over a year, but finally has to take it on the chin and admit, it’s never going to happen.

Fast forward several years to Sophie in a relationship with Henry, a police officer, who she’s been seeing but isn’t 100 % sold on mainly because he’s a selfish a$$. By then Sophie is known as “The Handler” because she is a shark as an attorney and never loses…. Except when it comes to love. She finds out Henry is married and has been lying to her the entire time which really shakes her belief in herself to ferret out true information. She and Henry part ways, and that same day she finds herself at a party where Drew shows. He’s still just as interested as he was four years ago, and this time, she’s on the rebound and looking to forget the disaster that was Henry. So she does…. In Drew’s arms.

Cue the violin…. And then Sophie finds out she’s pregnant, but who is the father? This book is definitely in my top 15-20 books out of the thousand or more I’ve read. I adored it. Yes, I know some others said they felt yucky at a certain point. I didn’t, however. I don’t want to give it away, but Drew was drewalicious, lol. He was such a wonderful, masculine, fully invested and lovely man… it would be difficult not to fall in love with someone as loving as he was. Sophie was also a great character. Yes, she was torn between two ,
men, but she was a strong character, fully mature and every bit an equal to Drew. Kudos to the author on this book. IT👏 WAS👏 AMAZING! 5+++++ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

"Sometimes your gut tells you the first time you meet someone. And my gut was pretty da*n clear four years ago. Sophie Havers was always meant for me. And I'll fight anyone who argues otherwise."

The story of Drew and Sophie is an interesting take on an unexpected pregnancy. Drew met Sophie when they were on a double date with other people. She was focused on her job as a lawyer and not looking for a relationship and he was instantly smitten and couldn't get her off his mind. Four years later, after throwing out her lying ex, Sophie bumps in to Drew again and one thing leads to another and they start a relationship. When two pink lines appear, Sophie doesn't know which of the men is the father. This is a way over simplified plot summary - you've been warned. Twists happen and Sophie has to balance two men (no, it's not a love triangle), a very sensitive case at work, and her unexpected pregnancy all while falling in love and keeping herself out of danger.

I don't think I've ever read of a scenario like the one Sophie faces. Some of the plot was easily predictable but other points I didn't see coming! There are some romantic suspense moments woven throughout the story that kept me on the edge of my seat, but I was a little disappointed with the final resolution of the Henry/Drew situation. I can't really go into details without spoilers, but it seemed too easy of a resolution, although the only other ideas I have would probably not work out very easily either. Drew is a cinnamon roll hero, always doting on and putting Sophie's needs ahead of his own. He is perfect father material and while some of his obsessive and selfless traits might be over the top in a real relationship, they are perfect for a great book boyfriend! There is a lot of spice (great chemistry between the characters) and a few interesting kinks in this one.

Handling Mr. Harper is book 9 in the Men Series, a series of interconnected standalone novels. It features a lot of cameos from other characters in the Men Series, which was fun to see glimpses of the future for them. This was another great story from Elle Nicoll with lots of plot twists and the ensuing angst.

Tropes: He falls first. He will do anything for her. Unexpected pregnancy. Recovering from a bad relationship. Second chance romance (sort of).

In "Handling Mr. Harper," Elle Nicole masterfully weaves a tale of love, loyalty, and unexpected twists that keep readers engaged from cover to cover. At the heart of the story are Drew and Sophie, whose lives intertwine in the most unexpected of ways, setting the stage for a journey filled with both challenges and triumphs.

The novel introduces us to Drew, a character whose loyalty and unwavering devotion make him instantly endearing. From the moment he falls for Sophie, readers are swept up in the intensity of his emotions, rooting for him to find happiness despite the obstacles in his path. Meanwhile, Sophie is portrayed as a woman who trusts her judgment and values stability above all else. However, when a twist of fate throws her life into disarray, she finds herself leaning on Drew for support, setting the stage for a complex and captivating romance.

One of the novel's standout features is its exploration of the complicated relationship between Drew and his father, Henry. Elle Nicole deftly navigates the nuances of their dynamic, adding depth and richness to the storyline. As Drew and Sophie navigate the challenges that life throws their way, readers are treated to a rollercoaster of emotions, with each twist and turn keeping them guessing until the very end.

While some aspects of the plot may seem familiar to fans of the accidental pregnancy trope, Elle Nicole injects her own unique twist, bringing a sense of spontaneity and freshness to the story. Despite moments of predictability, the novel is filled with enough unexpected developments to keep readers on their toes and invested in the outcome.

Overall, "Handling Mr. Harper" is a delightful read that combines romance, drama, and heartwarming moments in equal measure. With its well-developed characters, engaging storyline, and satisfying conclusion, this book is sure to leave readers eagerly anticipating Elle Nicole's next literary endeavor.

❤️📖 This is the 9th book in The Men series 📖❤️

This is the strory of Drew (brother of Meddy&bestfriend of Logan from Resisting Mr.Rich) and Sophia (sister of Holly from Meeting Mr.Anderson), this alone was something I was looking forward, because I love it, when the characters from series are interconnected and we meet them again after some time.

Drew is not perfect, but his determination to get Sophia is amazing. The day he finds out she is single again nothing´s going to stop him to make Sophia his. There is nothing and noone to broke his bond with her.
Sophia was alwazs determined to excel as lawyer, she has no time for deep relationships, she thinks she found the right person for her, who undesrtand her, only to find out he lied the whole time.
Sameday she meets with Drew again and and in a short time she gives up and gives him a chance.
And so Sophia and Drew become US.
But there is a little miracle/suprise-not one, but two babies.
You think this is the main plot of their story?? NO No, from this point we get unbelieveble twists and unpredictable moments ( Elle shows again she makes a ussual story plot unussual and keeps you to read till you find the resolution, yep don´t start to read the book in the evening 😊), they both are put through hard exams of their love and trust. Sophia shows she is a strong and powerfull woman who won´t let other destroy her happines and Drew, oh boy, world needs so many many Drews- he is one hell determined man who fights and is ready to lost everything just to make Sophia and babies happy (a real Mufasa).

This story was so strong, passionate, the chemistry was wow and the s!x scenes are going to make you blush ( make sure to have a cold water near).

Loved the other characters from previous books and I am really looking forward to read the next book in the series.

I love a good book where there is genuine chemistry between the two main characters and this book has that. The chemistry between Drew and Sophie was sooo freaking hot. I also love a good sweet, loving and protective MMC and Drew was all that and more. This book was written incredibly well and from reading past books by this author I expected nothing less. I love the genuine character development from the author that she puts into her books and I love how she writes. The words jump from the page into your mind as you're reading to and literally pull you into the story right along with the characters. I loved both the characters and that made this book even better. I could really connect with both of them and you could basically feel all their feelings, that's how amazing the writing is in this book.

Drew is sweet, loving and very protective of Sophie. He is a cinnamon roll MMC and his chemistry with Sophie was amazing. Drew is a business man while Sophie is a top lawyer in England. They meet when Drew goes on a double date with his best friend, and they end up basically switching dates. Sophie ends up being his new date and she has to leave early due to a work call. Drew wants to see her again and when he shows up Sophie turns him down. 4 years later She runs into Drew at an event where he ends up defending her in front of some horrible guys. He walks her to her room and they spend the night together. Sophie wants nothing more than to have some fun but Drew is still completely smitten with her and wants more.

This book has a major plot twist that you won't see coming and one that I have never seen before. You are gonna want to read this one for sure. I truly enjoyed this book and I look forward to reading more in the future.  I totally recommend this one for sure and if you pick this book up you wont regret it.

"Handling Mr. Harper by Elle Nicole was a phenomenal 5 star read that blew me away. Elle's writing style was captivating and flawless. This was my first book of hers, but it definitely won't be the last. The book follows Sophie, a very successful lawyer who never loses a case and loves to help her clients in any way she can, and Drew, the man who has been obsessed with her for the last four years. After she rejected him once, they meet again four years later and it seems like fate has brought them together. I absolutely adored their relationship. It was everything and so much more. Their communication was impeccable, their banter was hilarious, and their chemistry was off the charts. They were insatiable for each other all the time. This book had one plot twist after another, always keeping me on the edge of my seat, eager to know more about them, about their relationship, and about their future. I couldn't get enough of them. This book also had a pregnancy trope, which is one of my favorite tropes to read, with the twist that she didn't know who the father was. I have to admit that the other potential father (who was not the main character) was UNBEARABLE. He was the epitome of annoyance and hate. I despised him with every fiber of my being 😂. Overall, this book was one of the best books I've ever read this year. Elle Nicole did wonders writing this book and I recommend it wholeheartedly. I also want to thank her and the Author Agency for providing me with this ARC and giving me the opportunity to read this book early."

𝗔𝗻 𝗔𝗥𝗖 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄

𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗲! I mean it! I can't say enough good things about this book! From the very first page I was hooked! Immediately, you can feel the chemistry between Drew and Sophie.

Let's see if I can rave about this without giving up anything. I will say there is a 𝗠𝗔𝗝𝗢𝗥 plot twist that had my stomach in knots. The first time a book literally made me sick to my stomach. Kudos to the author for that. 👏

From their very first double date, Drew knew he wanted Sophia. She wasn't even his date, but the banter between the two, she very well should have been. For three years, he was persistent for her to go on a date with him but she declined every time. Only when she told him she would get a restraining order, does he stop. She was kidding, of course but he didn't know that.

Finally, Sophie kicks her lying, cheating boyfriend out and attends an event, where she reunites with Drew. They finally have their second chance, but of course, that would be too easy. Sophie finds out she's pregnant and it could be either her ex or Drew's child.

I absolutely adored Drew. That man was created by the Angels 😇 of above. His patience while she came to grips with her situation was honorable. I respected him more knowing he didn't leave Sophie in spite of the baby possibly not being his. From the first day of news, Drew told her he was turned on by pregnancy, which at first I was a bit hesitant about but then he explained, it was her being pregnant, knowing she was carrying life in her that got him going.

Drew was Sophie rainbow after a thunderstorm. But she was the calm in his. Growing up, he never had a healthy relationship with his father, but Sophie showed him that it was possible for him not to follow in his footsteps. He could be the father he never had.

If you’re looking for an amazing billionaire romance that will have you swooning, tearing up just a little, and loving that happily ever after, than Handling Mr. Harper is for you! Because it literally has everything! It has unrequited love, second chances, accidental pregnancy, a protective and loving MMC, a take no crud, Elle Woods type lawyer and a plot worth swooning over! So if you’re looking for your next romance read this is one to add to the top of your TBR!!

I spoil the plot for you guys so all I’ll say is that if you love unrequited loves, second chance romances and insane accidental pregnancy than this going to be right up your alley but even if none of that is your cup of tea this book is still amazing because the characters are fantastic! I loved Sophie from the get go… I will totally admit Legally Blonde is one of my favorite books ever and with Sophie giving off all the Elle Woods vibes how could I not love her, and then when you got to see her softer and more sunshine side when dealing with those she cared about and loved well it just made her a five star character! And then you had Drew who was our love struck puppy from the second he met Sophie and even though he let her go, he always held a spark for her. And when he finally had the opportunity to rekindle their spark he dived in without looking back! And I just loved how both loving, sweet and possessive Drew could be! So if you want a possessive MMC who knows what he wants and isn’t afraid to fight for it than Drew is your next book BF!

Overall, if you want a billionaire romance, filled with spice, amazing characters, a few crazy ups and downs then don’t miss out on Handling Mr. Harper!

HAPPY READING 📖

As soon as I found out about this book I wanted to read it. Having read the other books in this series had me looking forward to it even more! I picked it up and headed right back into The Men Series! I enjoyed this story so much!

Sophie and Drew's journey drew me in right away! These two had quite the first meeting. Now time has passed, they collide once again. Sophie has just ended things with her boyfriend and Drew is set on making Sophie his. When Sophie finds those two pink lines after taking a test, it's just the beginning. Can Sophie and Drew face it all, together?

Going into Sophie and Drew's story I didn't know what all to expect which I really enjoyed and definitely kept me on my toes! From the moment these two were brought into each other's lives I was invested. I went through such a range of emotions all throughout with Sophie and Drew. They go through a lot together and it isn't easy.

I admired how dedicated Sophie was to her job. She was so relatable as well. I felt for her a lot. Drew was so determined and caring when it came to Sophie which I loved! He also kept me grinning and falling! The chemistry that these two shared was undeniable and blushworthy and so was the way they got each other. Theirs is such a one of a kind journey that'll keep you turning the pages!

With Handling Mr. Harper, Ms.Nicoll has created such a memorable ride of a read filled with the unexpected that had me feeling SO much! This author always knows how to make me go through so many emotions and of course, make me blush! I can't wait to dive back into this series with the tenth installment, Playing With Mr. Grant! 💜
