The Hillcrest Curse laid claim 25-year-old Ethan and 18-year-old Izzy. When tragedy befalls the family and they are separated, Ethan becomes unhinged, epitomizing the hex.
I would have loved to see more of their story. However, I’ll take what I can get because I live for the intensity Ethan exudes and the no effs given, abrasive, she’s-the-only-one-I-see behavior.

For the life of me, I can’t find a book that came before this one. Does anyone know of one?
The story started in the middle, at least that’s what it felt like to me. I missed Ethan and Isabelle falling, their first time. I missed all the drama that landed Ethan in the hospital and only got snippets of what happened.
It was still a pretty consuming little read though. Ethan is super possessive and freaking psychotic, which I love. Isabelle isn’t much saner, just as crazy not only for her brother but she’s there for all the bloodlust.
I’m excited to read about more of this toxic, fucked up family.

This was pointless. The whole thing is all told through telling verses showing and focuses on stuff that happened before this before even started. Just give us the scenes if you want us to have that information. It was boring to read. The H and h are already in a “relationship” and have been together sexually prior to the book starting so there’s none of that angst or tension that forbidden/taboo books need to actually feel taboo. There’s no build up either, as soon as they’re reconnected they’re just f*cking. It’s all shock value so the authors can have a long list of triggers warnings. Really unsatisfying.

Short and spicy taboo romance.
I did read Daddy’s Doll before this one, which helped me understand a bit better what was going on. If I hadn’t read that one first, I would have probably been really confused.
I liked the relationship between Ethan and Izzy, but I would have enjoyed it more if there had been some buildup to it instead of them jumping straight to f*cking after they see each other.
In my opinion, Daddy’s Doll and this one would have worked better as one book, because they seem to be happening at the same time. But I understand that the authors probably wanted to focus on one couple at a time.

The Hillcrest family have a curse. The males all reach a point of obsession over a female in their family. This story is about Ethan, 25M, and his obsession with his sister Isabella, 18F.
Mrs Hillcrest went on a rampage about the curse and tried to cleanse her family by attempting to murder the males. She succeeded in stabbing Samuel and killing him, but Isabella managed to get in the way when Mrs Hillcrest was trying to stab Ethan (Samuel and Ethan were twins).
Ethan wakes up in hospital two weeks later and is wondering where Isabella is. He finds out that his dad told her (and all the other siblings) to go back to university. Meanwhile, the dad disappears into the woods to work on a cabin that he’s been building for the family (it’s going to be their incest retreat basically, where prying eyes won’t know what goes on in the family).
Ethan heads to Hillcrest University to find Isabella, he bumps into Sophia and Landon (also Hillcrest family twins, Landon is fighting his obsession for Sophia). They tell Ethan that Izzy is in the Hillcrest Asylum because she apparently flipped out at being separated from Ethan when the dad made them all go back to school.
Ethan breaks Izzy out of the asylum. They head to Sophia’s dorm room where they find her passed out and her twin brother, Landon, masturbating over her while she sleeps. Ethan and Izzy mess around on the bed in the dorm, right next to Sophia’s sleeping form. They grab Izzy’s bag then head off to the cabin their dad is building.

And the Baddies strike again with a short novella that takes us back to Hillcrest University, a place we’ve come to know and love in their previously released No Crosses Count. This time Ethan and Isabella Hillcrest take center stage in this extreme tab00 tale of two unhinged souls that will do anything to be together, a love and desire that transcend tragedy and death.
A fast paced narrative filled to the brim with all types of steamy depravity, Brother’s Beauty does exactly what it promises— it gives us the quick hit we need to hold us over for more. Both Ethan and Izzy are mere puppets to their obsession for each other, and I always love when Ireland and Monroe give us MCs that can go toe-to-toe with each other. Rough and possessive with a dash of psychosis, they’re both beautifully fleshed out for such a short read.
A supposed “Hillcrest Curse” is what prevents the two from ignoring their desire for each other, and it’s one that will affect everyone in the family. We see the beginnings of it with another sibling, and I just need to say the accompanying scene is insanely wrong���but wrong never felt so right. In all honesty, I need more details about this curse immediately. I know another piece of that puzzle is on the way, and I can’t wait to see how it’s developed.
I’m going to say it, and I say this proudly…the Baddies NEVER disappoint. Whether you’re a fan of theirs or looking to submit to the siren’s call of their tab00 goodness, this one will give you a quick taste of what they have to offer. I loved it and, as always, I’m very much looking forward to more.

I just tried these authors for the first recently when I read “Daddy’s Doll”. These books are TABOO AF, literally cannot get anymore TABOO, plus they’re pretty🔥smoking hot🔥 so I am loving them so far.
A few things I want to cover regarding these books… (I am about to discuss them but will not include spoilers- wait, can you really spoil a plotless smut book??? Anyway….)
I was struggling when I read Daddy’s Doll because I felt like I was missing plot details.
THIS IS JUST HOW IT IS- YOUR NOT MISSING ANYTHING!!!
Do I think it’s a bit confusing? Yup. This isn’t how I would go about writing a bunch of interconnected stories. I would definitely include more history so you get a better point of reference, but again, it’s smut, and I think you are not really meant to focus on these issues (I did check with the authors and they stated there is not really any solid back story so this is CONFIRMED).
Let me explain….
APPARENTLY there is an “urban legend” about a CURSE, that affects the men of HILLCREST (this is the name of the family AND the name of the college they attend- as I understand it). Anyway, the curse is that Hillcrest men will become completely obsessed and fall in love with a familial relation (sibling/parent/etc). If they don’t act on it and ‘claim their woman’ they will become more and more feral until they can no longer control themselves and will take her by force/ violently. Of course, they all resist because the whole thing is socially inappropriate. Therefore- they are all very aggressive and possessive men (they don’t think twice of murdering anyone in their way…).
I know there’s not supposed to be a reading order BUT Brother’s Beauty happens before Daddy’s Doll on the timeline, and I felt there was slightly more explanations in this book (Bro.Beauty). I personally think the interconnected books should at the very least say they are part of the “Hillcrest Universe” IMO. Especially these 2 books, because there’s 1 more set of siblings that appear in both books and their story is in the works (at least 3 books in this series). No Crosses also takes place at Hillcrest but not within this family group.
Honestly the authors could definitely throw in a short prequel to the series to both explain the curse and show the mom is with her son Samuel, which we have to assume was the case before she murdered him and died herself. But that’s just my opinion….😂😂😂😂
Oh and FYI: Voyeurism between the rest of the family is definitely a thing because it happens in both books so far so I’m sorta weirdly excited for the full on family orgy in the next book😉😂

Este fue el primer libro que leí de esta autora y, sinceramente, es el mejor de la serie (según yo). Me encantó, lo vale completamente y por eso le doy 5 estrellas sin dudarlo. Es una historia que atrapa, con personajes bien construidos y un romance que engancha. Léanlo, no se van a arrepentir. Lástima que las autoras decidieron no continuar con más libros de esta historia, porque me habría encantado leer más.

Anyway, the story was short and confusing. Like, wtf is that curse man💀 They were horny all the time like damn. And he literally fucked her sister in front of his little brother like it's was nothing, like it was normal him to fuck his little sister. I fucking hate this shi.
If you wanna know why I read this thing is because me and my friend read the genres and saw "Brother/Sister" and our jaw drop, but we were like "I should read this to traumatized myself." and my friend saied yes, so read this thing. But guess what? I send my friend screenshots off the story to traumatize her, too. 💃🏻💃🏻
