I don’t understand why it received those awards. The character development was lacking, and the story lacked a proper flow. It felt like a collection of incidents. many of the descriptions were factually incorrect.
Wow what a read! Felt like travelling back through the time. It's like the novel Colombo by Mohan Raj Madawala but without the hyper realistic parts.
So basically this story is about an aristocratic family in Sri Lanka in the 18th century (?). Their power struggles and how it affected the servants in the household. Quite a read! Couldn't put the book down once I started reading. Very interesting book!
