Fate is weaving her webs, and she won’t be denied…
Betrayed and heartbroken, Imogen retreats to the safety of the Seelie Palace, seeking refuge where Tarian can’t reach her. Yet, within the palace's gilded walls, she finds her freedom more limited than ever. As she replays painful memories and stares at her shattered dreams, she begins to wonder if she hasn’t jumped out of the frying pan and into the fire—because the Seelie king isn’t what he seems.
Across the border, Tarian prowls the boundaries of his limitations, tormented by his inability to reach Imogen. He watches from afar, driven by a relentless need to reclaim what he’s lost. As tensions rise within the Fae Realm, Tarian sees an opportunity in the chaos. If he can find a way to her, he will—he’s already lost her once. She won’t get away from him again.
As hidden agendas come to light and conflict looms, can Tarian and Imogen overcome their differences and navigate the treacherous political waters they find themselves in, or will the prophecy’s curse prove too powerful for their love to endure?
Queen of Ever is the highly anticipated second book in the Curse of Fate and Fae series. Dive into this gripping sequel to Prince of Never—a tale of love, loss, and destiny that will leave you laughing, crying, and fanning your blushing cheeks.
Lorelei Johnson is an Australian romance author, primarily writing Paranormal Romance and Fantasy Romance. She graduated from Flinders University, where she studied English Literature and Creative Writing before she discovered her degree was useless and she hated studying in an institution. She went into administrative work where she learnt just enough business sense to start publishing her own books.
Lorelei is fuelled by caffeine and sarcasm, priding herself as a true 90's kid. She labels her self-publishing as anti-establishment, but really she's just a chicken who decided to avoid the gatekeepers all together and enjoy the freedom to write whatever the heck she likes. Through her writing, she likes to explore the many facets of love and revel in a little magic and a little smut, of course.
I enjoyed this follow up to the Prince of Never, despite the rather slow beginning. It was interesting getting a look at the Seelie court and more of the King being so pushy with his hidden agendas. I loved how determined Tarian was to get to Imogen, and was relieved when they were finally together again and Imogen could listen to Tarian's side of everything. Discovering Imogen's true power was definitely something I didn't see coming and I'm looking forward to seeing that explored further. There's certainly lots of court intrigue and hidden agendas between everyone involved across all courts. The introduction of the rebel faction added some much needed action and the ending was very unexpected! I'll be keen to see what is coming in the next book.
I loved Prince of Never so when I saw that Queen of Ever was coming out I jumped head first to read it! I was dying to know what was going to happen with Tarian and Imogen at the end of book 1!
I feel like you get a touch of everything you need in this book. There is court intrigue, hidden powers, deception, a rebel cause and a mate bond that needs more nurturing!
The beginning of the book was packed with all the details we need on how our characters got to point they are at and then the pace picks up as our characters really come together for each other and the cause!
I love the chemistry between Tarian and Imogen. You can feel the fire between them and I am all here for it! I absolutely want to see more of Ves and Cass they are inside characters that I am soo interested!
We have some conclusions at the end of this book but there will be a book 3 and I can’t wait to see were this story continues!!
She's still learning how things work in th Fae world. Not trusting her feelings of her bond as it's so different. But where she is now, everyone wants to hurt her. But her mate can't stay away, no matter what the rules say. As they meet up again just as things fall apart, he's there to help her learn who she's meant to be. Not the human she thought she was, but not just a Fae either.

If you like the first book in the Curse of Fate and Fire series, then you will like this one. It had the same vibe and felt exactly like book 1. I love how this series has the Fae as the Unseelies and Seelie courts. The tension between the romance was still there but even bigger than before. I loved how brave Imogen has become compared to the first book. 4 out of 5 stars.
Following the events of the first book, Imogen has learned to accept what she is, though she’s still getting used to it. However, she can’t move past the betrayal she feels by Tarian’s actions at the end of the first book.
(Keeping it super vague because I don’t want to spoil). Now she’s in the hands of the enemy, who wants her for different purposes. We see her experiencing how hard it is to be away from her mate, while also being mad at him. Tarian just wants to know that she’s safe, but staying away from her is hard for him too.
These two are SO stubborn and prideful lol their bond is strong and they have to overcome the conflict and betrayal so that they can be happy together.
Thank you R&R Book Tours for having me and the copy for review!
Hidden power, court intrigue, a rebellion and spicy swoony romance kept me interested from the beginning until the end. Queen of Ever started right after the ending of the previous book with that massive blow of betrayal to our FMC, Imogen.
Told in multiple POVs, we get a new set of characters and a new area to explore such as The Seelie Kingdom. The first half part is slightly slower but things gets a lot more interesting in the second half part where the rebel group was introduced.
As for the romance, I really like seeing Imogen and Tarian interaction throughout the story as they clear out the misunderstanding and finally stand together. It also comes with a bonus of seeing Tarian grovel his way back to earn Imogen’s forgiveness and trust which lead to some spicy times!
The last few chapters were very intense with shocking plot twist, show of power, and a large-scale war between the high and lesser fae. Although some things felt like already resolved, the epilogue seems to say otherwise so I’ll be looking forward to see where the story will go in the third book.
Thank you to RR Book Tour and the authors for giving me an e-ARC of the book and for having me on this book tour. I’m leaving this review voluntarily!
Having adored Prince of Never, I couldn’t wait to dive into Queen of Ever! I was eager to find out what would happen with Tarian and Imogen after the jaw-dropping events of book one and man on man this was better than I could of expected.
This sequel delivers everything I could hope for. It’s brimming with court intrigue, hidden powers, deception, a compelling rebel cause, and a mate bond that continues to grow and evolve.
The book starts by filling in all the essential details of how our characters got to this pivotal point, but once that groundwork is laid, the pace accelerates. The characters truly come together, not only for their shared cause but also for each other, and it’s a joy to watch their connections deepen. The chemistry between Tarian and Imogen is electrifying—you can practically feel the sparks flying off the page! I’m also incredibly intrigued by Ves and Cass. As supporting characters, they’ve stolen my attention, and I’m eager to see their stories unfold further.
I don't know how else Johnson and Jade could top this book, but I am excited to see what they could come up with.

What a second book in the series and cannot wait for book 3 as do love a good trilogy. A magical fantasy world, great narrative, descriptive enough and the pace had me engrossed and on edge of my seat at times to see what was to come and what could possibly happen next! Great characters, I fell in love with Imogen in book 1 as such a sassy, strong, lovable, fun and exciting protagonist along with Tarian who makes the perfect contrast in his 'Mr Misery' gloomy and dark unexpected hero. Think in effect Tarian is the one who needs rescuing from his dark miserable life and Imogen is just the female knight who sweeps in, knocks him off his high horse and together they make an unstoppable pair. Book has it all adventure, magic, supernatural realm, sex, romance, love, revenge, goodies and baddies galore and unexpected allies and lots of twists and turns that had me totally enthralled and drawn into the world from start to almost reaching its end. Highly recommend to emerge yourself into an exciting world of escapism, entertainment and adventure.

This book just keeps me in a choke hold a lot like the first book! I love how it feels like we're learning the rules and life as a fae in the fae world which we know is far different then when life was less dangerous for her glamour. My favorite part of the romance in this book is the mate bond. I love how it's subtle but very important for them at the same time. My only complaint is that it started slowly but I wouldn't even classify it as a legit complaint because it needs to build up to the crazy ending of the book!
Solas is awful!! I really don't like him. The 'collars' for the lesser fae crossed a horrible line even though I had already classified him as shady. Nothing good will come from her being in his 'procession' as he likes to remind people. Tarian and Ethan becoming somewhat friends or at least working together helps keep Imogen grounded or at least I think it does because she values her best friend's opinion!! Imogen is perfect. I loved her character and I'm already impatiently waiting for the next book!!
Queen of Ever is the second installment in the Curse of Fate and Fae series. Queen of Ever is the continuation of Imogen and Tarian’s thrilling story. I love that Imogen and Tarian have a happy ending to their amazingly entertaining story. I couldn’t get enough of either one of these main characters, even though I’m sort of sad to see their story come to an end or at least what seemed to be an ending. Author Lorelei Johnson does a fantastic job with the way she created the continuation of Imogen and Tarian’s story. I fell in love with the main characters all over again and I found them both to be quite interesting and intriguing at the same time. Queen of Ever is both suspenseful and a definite page-turner. Queen of Ever is definitely a book that I would encourage others to read, but I would HIGHLY recommend that readers read Prince of Never first because that is the beginning of Imogen and Tarian’s story. I’m looking forward to reading more amazing books by this author.

The second book in the Curse of Fate and Fae series, Queen of Ever, brings readers deeper into the treacherous world of the Seelie and Unseelie courts, as we follow the fated but fractured romance between Imogen and Tarian.
Although the slow pacing in the beginning makes you yearn for action, it serves to lay the emotional groundwork for the explosive second half.
The romance follows the classic fated mates trope, with an intense push-pull dynamic. The book is relatively low on spice, with a 2/5 rating in that department. There are some spicy scenes but over quickly.
It’s a must-read for anyone invested in Imogen and Tarian’s journey and the larger political intrigue of the Fae Realm. With the promise of even more to come in the third book.
We pick up our story a little into the future from the tatters Imogen and Tarian were left in at the end of book one. Feeling hurt and betrayed Imogen is trying to understand where she fits in her new life, and Tarian is struggling to stay away. This story is boiling over with court drama and suspense! Plenty of action will keep you busy and the tension between them is steamy. I loved the development of the plot and characters-especially Tarian. He proves he can be more. It being the second book so many layers were added that created a great depth that I enjoyed. It was a good read, I’d recommend picking it up!
I was convinced this book was going to be the end...and thank goodness I'm wrong! I need more!
This book did a great job exploring the complicated feelings between Imogen and Tarian. We learn more about the courts and the rebel group. Tarian and Imogen take on the many issues together. I liked that Lorelei and Hailey made us feel like it was over and everything was taken care of...until the epilogue.
🌶🌶.5
Thank you, Lorelei, Hailey, and RR Book Tours, for sending me a copy of this book!
Thank you Lorelei Johnson, Hailey Jade, and R&R Book Tours for the free digital copy!
Absolutely worth the wait! Just as engrossing as Prince of Never, this book brings a fresh take on classic tropes. Imogen's hero’s journey was captivating, and her emotional turmoil over her bonded mate’s betrayal was heartbreakingly real. Tarian remains the perfect swoony, broody character, and I found Ethan much more likable this time around. The story is packed with great characters, amazing twists, plenty of spice, and nonstop entertainment. I can’t wait for the next book in the series, Knave of Ruin!
Definitely need to read the first book and possibly reread it in order to get the best reading experience. This takes place immediately after the first book. I was concerned we were going to have a whole book with the miscommunication trope but was pleased to see that wasn’t what happened. Overall I really enjoyed it, the world building, characters, and story line. Luckily this book ends cliffhanger free. Although I’m interested to see where this story goes (and learn more about characters pasts) it’s also a satisfying end if this is all you got.
You'd think having two authors write a single book would help with the typos.
Idk, I just feel like the story is pretty shallow and follows the formula of basically every middle-of-the-road fantasy movie I've seen. The revelations and plot twists (if you can genuinely call them that) were so easy to predict that it wasn't even fun. The second I read the first hint towards something, I knew exactly where it would lead. If another book is in the works for this series is in the works I won't be picking it up.
I’m super into good, thick chemistry right now and I loved the tension and connection between Tarian and Imogen. The best just pulls you though every page and every trial and just leaves you wanting more in the best way. This book was also filled with all the dram you would want with the court intrigue, deception, mate bond, rebel cause and hidden powers. Even with a bit of a slow beginning this book gave a good look into the Seelie court and was worth reading!
This book picks up right after the events of the first book! Imogene betrayed and hurting is thrust into a new political world where she isn’t told everything. Tarian wants her back and when an opportunity presents itself he makes the most of it with help. I loved that Imogene really steps into her own in this book and while it get a happy ending I can tell there’s more to come! Great second book!!!
I thoroughly this second installment in the curse of fate and fae series.
The second book picks up where we left off on the first book. It also delves much deeper into the world and explains a lot in regard to the seelie and unseelie courts.
The romance is wonderful and I am excitedly waiting for the next book.
Thank you Booksprout for the ARC.

The plot for this one was more fast paced than the previous one. I'm glad that the conflict between Tarian and Imogen wasn't stretched out too long. There were more layers to the plot and as to why Imogen is so important to both the Seelie and Unseelie monarchs. It was a great read.

Getting all the Elsa from frozen vibes. I'm a sucker for fairytale retellings, if you can't tell from my previous reviews. So this was a pleasant thought for me. I would not consider it a retelling it's just the vibes it gave me. I loved continuing Tarian & Imogen's story.

She has been hurt by Tarian, and Solas has taken her in, but she can't help how her thoughts keep turning to Tarian. Will Imogen survive the politics of the fae? I loved Imogen's and Tarian's story, the intrigue, danger, magic and pull of their attraction.

This picks up perfectly from the end of book one. It takes the reader deeper into the characters lives and everything thing that they have to deal with. So many things, and what a great follow up from the first book. More on the characters and the story line is great. I Loved It!!! No Spoilers!.

OH WOW this was a great story. It was a page turner and the suspense was curious and entertaining. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t even put it down. It was a dark and the drama was chaos. It was many twists and turns with these characters. I definitely recommend this book and you won’t be disappointed. I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion. Trina Jones
This is Book 2 of the series Curse of Fate and Fae. I loved it! I was hooked back into the character's lives right from the start and had a hard time putting it down. Great characters, great storyline, Awesome read. I can't wait to read more.

Told from multiple POV's, Queen of Ever picks right up from the end of Prince of Never. The Seelie Kingdom bring us intrigue, romance, action, and spice. The ending was definitely unexpected and so good. I will be reading the next book.
This story will keep you entertained and absolutely enthralled with all the information that you are learning. There is so much involved in this story that you won’t put down the book until you finish it. I adore this series.
I really loved the first book. Queen of Ever was a good sequel. I felt it had the potiential to be better. I had been waiting anxiously for this book since learning there was going to be a sequel. I wanted more of Tarian than what we the readers recieved. There will be another book, but not featuring Tarian and Imogen, but I believe Ves's story. Its nice to see the authors continuing to grow the world they have built.
