Strap yourself in for a spicy ride of sizzling tension, witty banter and self-discovery in this frenemies to lovers romantic suspense about what happens when you risk your heart.
Two damaged people. Two traumatic pasts. One crazy collision.
Kali I know who I am: independent, fiercely loyal, a woman who never shies away from risk-taking.
Enter: tattooed bad boy Anthony Bonetti.
When he baits me into a bet of self-control, I’m all in. After all, it’s only a harmless game and will never amount to anything more.
Because the only risk I never take is with my emotions.
Anthony I know who I am: determined, aspiring artist, survivor of addiction and jail.
Enter: fiery temptress Kali Cooper.
From the moment I lay eyes on her, I can’t stop thinking about her, or the things I want to do with her. I’ve endured some of the worst life has to offer, so duelling with her is a fun challenge.
Not that it will amount to anything once she learns of my troublesome past.
Can they risk their hearts? Are they crazy to even try?

This book can be read as a standalone, but it contains many references and spoilers for the first book in the series
Hannah Smith writes contemporary romance and romantic suspense, with her debut novel Hazy Love, released in March 2022.
Her stories follow strong women on journeys of self-discovery and love, and because she can’t help herself, true crime often gets thrown into the mix.

You can follow her on Instagram, Facebook and Tiktok for updates, writing advice, book recommendations, and complete and utter ramblings.
How unbelievably stupid of me to think that no one would be able to top Patrick Healey without firstly taking his own brother into consideration...and whoowee did Anthony Bonetti impress me on various levels🥵
Crazy Love immediately picks up right where Hazy Love's (book one) epilogue ends off, and we get thrown straight into the flaming chemistry between Kali Cooper and Anthony Bonetti
Here's what you can expect: 🩷 Dual first-person POV 🩷 Romantic suspense 🩷 Strong and feisty heroine 🩷 Sexy and witty hero 🩷 Steamier than Hazy Love 🩷 Appearances by a heap of your faves from Hazy Love 🩷 Workplace renovation setting
We know from Hazy Love that Anthony had a bit of a backstory, but I'm a girlie on her knees for a dangerous looking man yet so incredibly protective at the same time. He also enjoys working with his hands...seriously what more do you need to hear?!😌 Kali is a firecracker and a commitment-phobe, which obviously means she didn't make things easy for Anthony, but you simply can't stop a determined man😏
The steam between them were just plain hot, and I didn't want to stop reading about their journey. Of course, there were moments of frustration where I'm like; "Dammit Kali, just let the man love you!"😭 but every second was wonderfully addictive
I don't want to give too much away, but I highly recommend this series... there's two very opposite but incredibly smexy brothers to fuel your fire, and they are SO worth it! A huge thank you to Hannah Smith for providing me with an arc in-exchange for an honest review! She has simply made it impossible for me to choose between the two brothers, so I'll just be taking both thank youuuu😍❤️🔥
ARC review: I had the pleasure of reading Hannah’s second book ‘Crazy Love’ after receiving an ARC. This book hooked me in from the start. The chemistry between the two main characters was evident and it quickly draws you in. The book contains sex scenes but they’re aren’t overly graphic and are completely in context to the storyline. ‘Crazy Love’ tells the story of Anthony and Kali, both damaged in their own way but who have an amazing connection and desire for one another. This would be a great beach or holiday read, one you can move through quickly as it’s enjoyable. You wouldn’t be disadvantaged by not reading Hannah’s first novel ‘Hazy Love’ prior to reading ‘Crazy Love’ but I would recommend it for character and plot context. A great read by Hannah Smith.
Alright, book aficionados, grab your sunnies because we're heading to Queensland, Australia! Now, I've read my fair share of spicy romances, but this one? Well, it felt like a roller coaster down the Gold Coast!
Right out the gate, Hannah Smith has a way of pulling you in. When the story began in Burleigh Heads, my inner Aussie jumped out and screamed, "Hold my Tim Tams, this is about to get wild!" I mean, how often do you recognise your own backyard in a book?
Our leads, Kali and Anthony, are the kind of characters you can't help but root for. Their bet? Risky. Their chemistry? Explosive. And their pasts? Just as tangled as my earphones in my pocket. Now, I've met my fair share of bad boys, but Anthony, with his tattoos and that sexy smirk – let's just say I've got a new book boyfriend, and he's as fictional as they come.
Kali, on the other hand, is a force to be reckoned with. Her journey of self-discovery is both poignant and relatable. The girl's got baggage, but don't we all? It's how she learns to unpack it that truly captivated me. But let's be real – the real scene-stealer here is Mimi. Someone give that woman her own novella, stat!
The book touches on some heavy themes, and Smith manages to handle them with sensitivity while keeping the romance at the forefront. It's steamier than a summer day in Brisbane, and just as unforgettable.
In conclusion, this is a sizzling read that not only brings the heat but also the heart. Hannah Smith, you've got yourself a new fan. Now, excuse me while I daydream about my next trip to Burleigh Heads. Solid 4.5-5 stars from this avid reader!
Oh my goodness!! I mean I knew I was going to love Kali & Anthony from the snippets we got in Hazy Love but this was next level!!
Hannah's writing makes you feel like you're there with them and you experience their sadness and happiness and all the emotions in between. Kali is so fun and feisty but super closed off to the 'heart eyes' idea of love for herself. Anthony is a very much live in the moment kind of guy with a fun and flirty playful side that makes you wish that you could order him on Amazon. Both have their own versions of haunted pasts but together their chemistry (and banter) is so undeniable that it's hard to turn away. They're such amusing characters with so much depth and I loved how their characters and the emotional connection developed as the story progressed. And that bet at the begging?! Oh my swoon, it's a little cliche sure but I devoured it anyway.
It's such an easy read filled with all the tension and banter and the giggles that you won't want to look away. Being an brissy girlie myself, I 100% felt so comfy like I was home. Beyond honoured to have received a copy of this and am leaving this honest review voluntarily <3
A fantastic follow up to Hazy Love, Crazy Love follows the STEAM FEST that is Kali & Anthony. It’s another super enjoyable read, Hannah writes chemistry and banter beautifully and nails the GC/Aussie vibes in her characters. I always love a novel set in places I’ve lived, it feels real and I can see everything she describes. A great storyline, great characters and HOLY SEX SCENES. Put your a/c on when reading this book, you’ve been warned. 5 stars! Perfect summer read!
*I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review*
Hannah’s first book, Hazy Love, was the first ARC I ever read so when this one finally came about I was so excited to get the opportunity to read it!! IT was worth the wait! It was short, sweet, sexy, fast paced and exactly what I needed! I loved the enemies to lovers banter, it was done so well! The way Kali and Anthony were so wildly attracted to each other but were so unwilling to give in to their desires!! It was perfect.
They both had a lot of baggage. Anthony has mostly worked through his. He’s in a good place in his life, but he’s afraid that his past will ruin things with Kali. And Kali is seemingly living her best life?? But also pretty much in denial about why she lives her life the way she does. And I LOVE that Anthony talks openly about going to therapy and how helpful it is for him, he even leaves her websites to go to and suggestions!!
But the two of them TOGETHER. The enemies to friends to lovers was SO FREAKING GOOD. All of a sudden they were just around each other all of the time??? And it was perfect. They had their little bet, so the TENSION was all over the place!! And when they finally gave in *chefs kiss*! And they were also SO SOFT for each other. It was so sweet to see them be vulnerable, and open up to each other.
Thank you so much to Hannah Smith for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!!
ANTHONY. I CANNOT. He is my new book boyfriend. I love a guy who knows who he is and is dealing with his own demons in all the right ways. He is sexy af, has fire in his step and his loyal to the ones he loves. He knows what he wants and that’s Kali. Kali is every woman with commitment fear and boy oh boy, did she find the right guy to break through her walls. I loved their story, and loved watching the characters grow together. I ate the book up and it was a lovely ending, I just wish I had MORE! I’m also a sucker for books that intertwine characters from previous stories and I’m HOPING there’s gonna be another in this saga 🤭
This ARC is the first book that I have read by Hannah Smith and it didn't disappoint. The two main characters had chemistry that was well and truly sizzling, Kali and Anthony had a connection that resulted in them being able to understand each other, I love Kali's friendship with Hazel, she had a way of reassuring Kali when it come to the issues that Kali dealt with throughout the book. Both Kali and Anthony had pasts that shaped the people they are and influenced some of the decisions they made. Her past also wrecked Kali's future but she was determined not to allow her issues to impact her happy ending.
I really enjoyed this book and it was so nice to be back in this world. I really love Anthony and how he was gone for Kali long before either one came to terms with it. I liked their games, even though I was so ready for them to finally get together! Like how either one was able to keep their distance? I’ll never know. But I’m so happy they get to have their crazy HEA in the end. It was worth the wild ride they put us on to get there.
I love the fun banter between Kali & Anthony. Chapter 22 - omg 🥵 While Hazel & Patrick are still my fav couple I absolutely enjoyed reading Crazy Love. . "We don't choose to be addicted; what we choose to do is deny our pain." . This book mentions Drug/Alcohol abuse aswell as a few other triggers so make sure you check that out before reading.
I couldn’t put this book down - started and finished within a few hours. I needed to know what happened and couldn’t stop till I did. Sexy and steamy with an awesome storyline thrown in - what more could you want?!?
So I’ve basically been dying for Kali and Anthony’s book since getting a peek at them in book 1 (Hazy Love).
These two are chaotic and damaged, yet tender and sweet. They fit perfectly together and I loved their story so much.
While Anthony has this tattooed, bad boy exterior and past that haunts him, he is protective and patient with Kali while she deals with her own emotional scars. They both bring a little crazy to their relationship and a whole lot of chemistry, tension and banter. 😮💨🥵😏
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Book 2 can be stand-alone but you definitely want to get more of Kali through her best friend, Hazel’s story in Hazy Love! Also, they are true crime lovers too!
ℛℯ𝒶𝒹 𝒾𝒻 𝓎ℴ𝓊 𝓁ℴ𝓋ℯ… 🙅🏼♀️Frenemies to Lovers 🖤Broken heroine & hero 🌶️Spicy bet ❤️🩹Emotional scars 👩🏻❤️👨🏼Mutual Pining 👊🏻A touch of romantic suspense ⚠️Check Triggers 📖Under 200 pages
Oh god. I loved this! It was good to be back seeing Patrick and Hazel again. Now, Anthony.... Jesus bloody christ that man is perfect. So caring, thoughtful, protective but also felt the guilt of his past. The wall Kali has out around herself was completely and utterly obliterated by Anthony and I loved it. The push and pull, the banter and then the spice. Ohhh so good!
Much much love. It cured my book hangover from Iron Flame. Kali and Anthony’s banter was so much fun. Wish I could read it again for the first time just for their banter.
I would firstly just like to say a big thank you to the author who very kindly forwarded me an arc copy of her book, for my kindle, in return for my honest review…
Crazy Love is the second book in the Hazy Love series and carries straight on right where Hazy Love left off. If, like me, you need a refresher of what happened, i went back and read the last chapter and epilogue and then went straight on to Crazy Love!!
This book can be read as a stand alone, but contains many references and spoilers for the first book in the series.
Crazy Love is a steamy, contemporary romance that tells the story of firecracker Kali Cooper and the sly and oh so sexy Anthony Bonetti…
Oh where do i start with this book………firstly, i absolutely devoured this story, i just couldn’t get enough of it, it was perfect and amazing and just wonderful in every way!!
Crazy Love was an absolute roller coaster of a story and was a perfect, spicy romance, full of that always necessary steam!
Kali and Anthony were just amazing characters and the palpable chemistry between them was a perfect ‘chefs kiss’!! They both had the most colourful of pasts and Anthony was definitely the epitome of a bad boy - and oh my goodness was he hot!!
I loved Kali’s self discovery journey and felt like i was actually there with her, immersed in her life.
Hannah is such a wonderful writer and i loved the banter between the characters! This was an amazing story, full of tension and I absolutely loved it………
“Where did you come from?” “From your wildest dreams.” “Oh, shut up.”
- Gold Coast setting - Ex-con hero - Carpentry apprentice x pilates studio owner - Friends with benefits - Therapy rep - Dual POV
We’re back in the Hazy Love world! I fell hard for this book and this setting, so I’m glad Hannah is giving us more. This time we have Hazel’s best friend, Kali and Patrick’s brother, Anthony. The sexual tension between these two was sizzling from the first chapter 🔥. It didn’t help that they made a bet to see who would give in and kiss the other first.
Anthony has been through… a lot. But he’s turning his life around and I loved how open he was about his experience with therapy and how he encouraged Kali to give it another go. He was a totally overprotective softie – endlessly helping Kali renovate her studio, packing a picnic for their first date and making her an art piece 🥺.
Kali had also been through a lot and didn't do relationships. But Anthony patiently waited for her to realise she didn't do relationships... until him. Add in a little romantic suspense subplot and some delicious spice and you have a very fun novella.
Hannah has quickly become a favourite Aussie author to read. Crazy Love is the sequel to Hazel love and I am grateful to have been given an ARC of this book. I would suggest reading Hazy Love first as Crazy Love picks right up where it ended. This book hits my enemies to lovers' banter. It is clear from the first pages, and even the appearance in the previous book, shows how attracted Kali and Anthony were to each other, but they were not willing to give into it. Each of these characters come with baggage. Anthony is worried that his past will ruin his future and Kali is trying to live her best life but is struggling about why she is how she is. The mental health of both of these characters is a part of their story arc. The truthfulness about therapy was also well done. But with all of this, Anthony and Kali are amazing together and shall I say their little bet was such a tension builder but on the other hand they also had moments of vulnerability and were eventually able to open up to each other.
Thank you so much to Hannah Smith for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!!
What a story we have here, full of steamy spice and two beautiful characters who have their own demons within but are just perfect for one another! Kali is feisty and strong, determined not to fall in love with anyone as she knows what happens when it all falls apart. Anthony 🔥tattooed, hot Anthony wants Kali, yet he has his own past that could bring him down. Ah I just love these two, author Hannah Smith brings all the chemistry alongside friendship and the glitter of the Gold Coast. I loved seeing Patrick and Hazel, as bestie and brother to our two MC’s and delving into the personal side of Kali made for addictive reading. Who am I kidding, the whole shebang made Crazy Love an addictive read! As for Anthony, there is more to him than he lets on and I was there for it all! Emotional at parts, I was really cheering for these two as they let go of past hurts. Crazy Love is steamier that the first in the series, but it works, especially for Kali and Anthony who have a sizzling attraction that cannot be denied.
**Just finished Crazy Love and I have questions. 1. Am I in love with fictional Anthony? 2. Should I be concerned about how aggressively I rooted for two people with red flag pasts and serious trauma to be together?! FOREVER?!
Let me preface this (AGAIN) by saying I don’t do books. I do snacks and Netflix. But this book?? It had me. I was hooked from page one and suddenly didn’t care about snacks or sleep.
The chemistry?? Sizzling. The banter?? 10/10. The self-control bet?? Immediately failed. And can we talk about how Hannah made me feel things I wasn’t emotionally prepared to feel on a random Tuesday night? I was laughing, crying and blushing.
Honestly, I now measure men in “How close are you to Patrick or Anthony?”
Hannah has done something magic here. I wasn’t reading. I was living. And now I’m spiralling because I finished the book and don’t know what to do with myself. Sequel, please. Or a hotline. Or both.
Crazy Love is the sequel to Hannah Smith’s Hazy Love. We met both MCs in the first book. Kali is Hazel’s best friend and Anthony is Patrick’s brother.
Kali’s just lost her job and decides she wants to be her own boss, so she plans to open up a Pilates studio. She has an inheritance she doesn’t want to touch. She wants to do this on her own, but she’ll take all the help she can get. Patrick’s found her the perfect space for the studio. She just needs to renovate and remodel the building.
Anthony is Kali’s complete opposite. He’s done his time, both in and out of prison. He’s retired from being Patrick’s bodyguard and is currently a carpenter, so he is insistent on helping Kali out. When she starts receiving threatening messages at the site, he’s just the man to protect her.
During a drunken game of strip UNO, they make a wager. They know they’re attracted to each other, but Kali isn’t into relationships and Anthony is. Whoever kisses the other first loses. She wants him to get a tattoo of anything she wants. He wants a date with her. There is so much sexual tension, bickering, and bantering because they flirt and get close (which I LOVE), but don’t give in because neither want to lose. You’ll have to read to find out who wins.
This was a fun, quick read that I didn’t want to put down. I loved Hazy Love, so I was excited when Hannah announced she was writing a sequel. She writes funny, action/suspense plotlines with protective, swoony men and I can’t wait for more from her.
Thank you to the author. I voluntarily read an early copy of this book. 4.5 Stars
Number 2 in the Hazy Love duology... and what a duology! Romantic suspense at it's finest! 😍. I feel like I immediately need to do a reread of Hazy Love so I can experience the whole Patrick/Anthony vibe all over again. (And secretly wish there was a third brother so we could get another story!)
❣Dual POV ❣Enemies to lovers ❣Chemisty ++ ❣Strong FMC ❣Tie in with Hazy Love, but could be read as a standalone. ❣ Set in Queensland, Australia! ❣ Steamier than a Brissie summer's day
Thank you to @hannahsmithauthor for gifting me this book, I LOVED this one, and Hazy Love 🥰 and they have a special place in my book collection.
Where do I start?! The spice levels are HIGH and good lord I should not have read this on a plane!
I was so excited after reading Hazy Love and so intrigued in how Hannah was going to write Kali & Anthony to keep their story unique, tie in to Hazy Love but also add new spice and boy did she deliver.
I loved the way everything written was so relatable (especially the inner monologues), I constantly found myself smirking at one-liners and spicy scenes.
The perfect blend of spice, depth, humour and romance. Once you pick it up, you won't put it down... Bonetti won't allow you to!
WOW. From the moment I picked this book up I couldn't put it down. Kali and Anthony are the sort of characters that you want to know in real life! It had everything; from a bet between two people who were meant to be, a steamy build up, tension, excitement and drama, this book has it all.
It is so well written that I just got lost in the pages and the story and I never wanted it to end. Who doesn't love a bad boy turned good, who knows what he wants and how to make it happen. LOVE it!!!!
I really enjoyed Crazy Love! I loved getting to know Kali and Anthony, especially after reading Hazy Love, (also a fantastic read) it was a great direction to follow. So sexy and steamy - I couldn't read it fast enough! Hannah Smith, you've done it again! I await your next book with great anticipation.
I absolutely ate this book up!! So, so good! There is sweetness, there is sass, there is spicy, spice, spice! 🌶️🌶️🔥🔥🥵🥵 I am obsessed!! 😍😍
Crazy Love follows Kali and Anthony with an obvious attraction for each other, who team up for a workplace renovation and decide to partake in a sex bet.. but who caves first? 🙈 I love the dual POV - we definitely needed both sides of this steamy story! 🔥 The tension is next level, the feistiness and wit from both of these characters make it so fun, and there is also addiction rep which I found was handled really well. Oh, and we can’t forget the spice 🥵🌶️🔥
There might be a whole lot of steam and spice, but the great thing about Hannah’s books is there is also so much character growth, playfulness between the characters, and the banter is sublime! 💋 I loved it so much! 😍
I love supporting Aussie authors and Hannah is definitely one to watch! I can’t wait to see what she comes out with next! I will read it all! 😍😍😍
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
Thank you so much to @hannahsmithauthor for sending me a copy of Crazy Love to review 🙏🏻
An amazing follow up to Hazy Love (which I was OBSESSED with).
The romance, the personal battles and the Australian setting make you feel like you know these characters. My only problem? I wish I had it IMMEDIATELY when I finished Hazy Love!! The type of books you pick up and stay up until 2am reading!
The angst and romantic tension had me in a chokehold from the very first chapter! I read Hazy Love first but you could easily read this as a stand-alone. The character development was excellent and the chemistry between the two mains was *chefs kiss* and the spice was next level!
Just hold up whilst I go lower my temperature 🥵 This sequel which explored Anthony and Kali’s situationship turned relationship steps up a notch in the steam department and man.. Anthony Bonetti 😍 the banter and sexual tension mixed with genuine, heartfelt interactions 👌🏼 spot on! I would highly recommend this fire of a book 🔥
While this was advertised as a standalone, I feel like I was missing vital information. I think it would have been a better reading experience if I read first book before reading this one.
I loved Hazy Love so of course was itching for the next story in this series and it did not disappoint. Loved the character development of both Anthony and Kali. Particularly loved the witty banter in this one, and the frenemies to lovers arc.
