I am in love with this story. It had just the right amount of passion, drama, and the clarity of the characters just made it feel like I was right there watching it unfold. Carmen and Damaso were fire together. Her learning to grow
with him by her side, and Damaso's protectiveness to take care of her. Just everything together made it one of my top SF five favorites, and she wrote a lot of books. What a roller coaster ride of action. Carmina and Damaso meet by mistake, but that meeting turns into him protecting her with his life. Carmina is on the run and Damaso steps in to help her. Action and drama continue until you think you can’t stand anymore. Carmina is wise beyond her age, mature, and ready to handle any situation. Every time one of them leaves the house, you don’t know if they’re gonna make it back alive. This book keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time. They love each other, protect each other, anticipate what is going to happen next and plan accordingly. That is how Damaso becomes the king and he chooses Carmina as his queen. You will absolutely, positively love the ending. Great, great book.

This is a contemporary mafia romantic suspense and the conclusion of the series. I do not normally enjoy Mafia stories but I love Shayne Ford's books. As usual, this author does not disappoint. There is plenty of steamy chemistry between these 2 characters. There are twists that I did not see coming. As usual, Shayne brings strong characters to the forefront of her stories, deep emotions, and wonderful writing skills.

The Mafia Queen is part two of the Mafia King duet by Shayne Ford.
Damaso's enemies are closing in and will do anything or hurt anyone to get close to him. Carmina and her sister are in grave danger because of this. Will he be able to save them in time?
This book has it all. Danger,mystery, romance,family betrayal.
Characters that I have enjoyed watching grow into their own. Damaso, learning that love does matter, and discovering you can't always trust your family.
Carmina, turning into a brave young woman not afraid to take a chance and save the ones she loves. The duet was an excellent story and I encourage you all to read them. I got an ARC for an honest review.

This duet was entertaining and as always the HEA was heart warming. I do wish there would have been more development of their relationship. At times it seemed a bit rushed. I loved the characters and I would have loved a little more depth into their lives. I love Shayne’s books. As a matter of fact I just spent a couple of weeks re-reading all of her book series. This may not be my favorite. No one can ever compare to James. This was not one of my favorites but there is no doubt I will be reading it again.

WOW! Im still drooling over this great end to a great book. You ask for the DRAMA and Shayne delivered it. This was a great story. It has the love of family and enemies. The hot firey chemistry of love. Violence that you expect when the mafia is involved. Betrayal as only Shayne can make you feel. Determination as Carmen grows into herself. A mountain that seems insurmountable as trouble keeps coming. Suspense that will make your heart beat faster. You'll fall in love with this book and the one before (My Mafia King).

So I didn't like this one as much as the first book

Solid 3 star rating.

I did enjoy the read, seeing what happens with Car and Damaso's relationship. I still like that their relationship felt real and not forced. Unfortunately, I wasn't too big on the plots for the storyline to end this Duet. The ending was expected, and the rat was who I thought it would be when Damaso had the meeting with his uncle.

I was glad to see the HEA for those who deserved it. I can't wait to see if there's a continued off shoot story for Tina and Jen.

GRIPPING Drama & Steamy
The suspense is nerve wracking as I get caught up in the unspoken emotions, riding the edge in fear from the gripping violence and danger that sent my heart pounding robbing me of common sense to not freak out throughout this thrilling mafia story. Add in all the drama, excitement, steamy chemistry and page turning twists and it's an incredible mafia story with a well deserved ending.

Damaso and Carmina's relationship is fraught with complications.

Ms. Ford made me want to cry for both Carmina and Damaso!

Ms. Ford, I loved your series, but I'm entranced by your duets! I've loved the heck out of both!

To the beginning

Forced to grow up. Forced to take on evil. Forced to kill. Determined to take control of her life, she succeeded.
He a accepted what he knew what he wanted. He was a intelligent man. But, surprised who turned against him. Thankfully, he took matters into his own hands. He did whatever he had to in order to survive and protect those who ment the world to him.

Beginning c was very slow. The middle through the end, was excellent.

I have to day that I really tried to finish this duet but at 33% into the second book I just couldn't take the incessant internal dialogue. It seems that for every five lines of speaking, there is three pages of information that each character is thinking or that the author wants us, the reader to know. I just can't slog through the rest of the book... mainly because I lost interest in the story and characters.

This was an absolute amazing conclusion to The Lost Story Duet! I am in love with Carmen and Damaso. SF took the time to build these wonderful, realistic characters. Lordy! Shayne writes some really heart felt stories and Damaso and Carmina's conclusion was a good one I couldn't help, but tear up on several occasions and my heart rate ramped up at some of the scary moments. You know that excitement you feel when a new book is coming out your dying to read and when you get to the end you wished it never ended that's how I felt at the end of this duet.

The Journey

This continues on from My Mafia King. What a great read it has everything you could want and I stayed up until the early hours reading as I could not put it down. I have read a lot of books by Shayne and she never disappoints you. After having a bad upbringing Carmina had run away after leaving her sister with her aunt. She hides from her ex and now finds love and happiness with Damaso. I received a free ARC from the author for an honest review which I have given
