Nope. No. I am sorry but NO!!! This book ruined this series for me, which I really liked. What was the point of Maeve and Rowan - the Dawnbringer and the Nightweaver subplot? And wtf was that epilogue about???
Hillary Raymer's conclusion to the Faeven saga is a winner. The story will have you perched on the edge of the cliff, ever teetering (and sometimes falling into the abyss), as nailbiting action and unfolding events leave the characters (and the reader) scrambling. This book is filled with wtf moments, fierce characters, harsh goodbyes, and the much-needed HEA. I enjoyed every minute of it.
The book overall is action-packed and bittersweet as things finally come to a head. The war nears with each turning page and the reader is left with the sense that some of their favorite characters won't make it out alive.
I think Hillary does a wonderful job of showing character growth for both the MMC and FMC as they struggle to find and define their roles in the ever-changing world they exist in as the war draws nearer. Some characters' stubbornness and actions will have consequences that everyone has to live with.
If you haven't read this series yet, I suggest you had it to your TBR, strap in, and enjoy the roller coaster of emotions.
This series has been a mixed bag for me. If you have followed my previous reviews, I almost DNF'd the first book but the 2nd half took off, and I LOVED book two. Then we got to book 3 and I was eager to see what happened only to realize it was a complete filler book. I gave it 3.5 stars because of me loving the other books, but now having read book 4, books 3/4 could have and should have been 1 book IMO. Book 4 isn't a bad book, and I think I'm in a bit of a reading slump so my rating may have changed if I read it at a different time but there was too many huh?! moments that this final is a 3 for me.
I only had one highlight throughout this entire book and it was 1 of two typos I saw. This tells me nothing fully stood out in this grand finale.
What to expect: ✨Trauma/torture ✨Spicy reunions ✨Dual POV ✨3rd Person POV
What I liked: ✅I'm very glad that Maeve and Tiernan got reunited super early on. Having them separate for a whole book was annoying and their reunion was sweet. ✅The writing, while very stereotypical, was written well and easy to read. ✅I love the side characters, I honestly wish they had more screentime and got to have a bit more time with them. ✅The beginning of the book started off strong. I loved seeing Maeve in her get her man back era.
What I didn't like: ❌A lot of the plot felt predictable and just too easy. I never had a moment of OMG I hope they are okay, or OMG what is going to happen. ❌SPOILER ❌The death of Parisa felt so anti-climatic....I appreciated the battles and that people did die, it creates more heartache and high stakes, but to kill her so easily after getting captured by her and making her seem so hard to battle, there were no stakes here. The groups of people coming to help was great! But they got like 2 sentences each? ❌There was a lot of plot holes and didn't match and felt like things were thrown around to just get us to the end. I wish I felt different but so many things didn't make sense. Why was Maeve so hellbent on doing things herself? This happened twice and neither really talked about it after just said I never want to do anything/life without you? Again after the growth she had earlier it felt regressive for her to behave this way.
This book is the final book to the Faeven saga! And wow is it amazing. Not a dull moment at all. I completely devoured this book. I loved reading every page of it. The characters of this book go through so much and it pulls at your heartstrings. I very highly recommend this book/series to all epic fantasy lovers.
First 2 books are magical last two respectfully suck
Should have been a trilogy
Smut 🌶️🌶️/5
Don’t get what the point of being the dawnbringer and Rowan being the night weaver.
Why did I still like Rowan more for some reason
Above all I really hope the author gives Rowan a happy ending because I felt more for him than any character for some reason. Like please do that for him. I’d read that
The defeat of the enemy was short
Could have edited book three and book four down to make a decent end to the series. Instead, it was dragged out.
Once again, she is separated from her mate for a lot of the book.
And a lot of the series seems to be the FMC getting captured and needing to be rescued.
Very glad it is over. loved The first two, but after that, it just became just another book series
Sad ending really not satisfying enough idk
Not finished still reading making notes as I go
Note to self stop reading uncompleted series because I forgot everything in the long wait
“My soul is yours, astora. In this life, in every life, from now until I draw my last breath.”
I’m really sad to see this series come to an end. It’s been such crazy whirlwind of emotions throughout the whole entire series. This book is just what this saga needs to end it perfectly. Everything was tied together in a painful but yet, beautifully perfect way. The emotions and tugs at the heart strings, will keep you invested throughout the whole book. Hillary really did it again!
Throughout the journey of Maeve, the badass FMC, we have seen her transform. She overcomes so many obstacles, inner turmoil, healing, self discovery and finding those who matter the most to her. She does not let her fears consume her. We see so much teamwork and love shown to her from all the ones we have come to love. They supported her 100% of the way. Just what she needed and wanted her whole life.
🥀 Epic Conclusion 🥀 Fated Mates 🥀 High Fantasy 🥀 Good vs. Evil 🥀 Emotional Damage 🥀 Found Family 🥀 Ultimate Sacrifice
I wish there were more words to describe how much I’ve loved this series. I highly recommend reading all four books. I’m sad this story is ending but excited for more of Hillary’s new series to come out. Where one story ends, new ones form 🖤
Thank you to the author, Hillary Raymer, for the opportunity to read this eARC.
The love interests were separated for an entire book, then you separate them again in the next book for like half the book?? Not cool.
The series started strong but like??? I needed a better wrap up. Needed closure with Rowan/laurel/aed and merrick/cerriwen and what about Aran? The fury guys??
Thank you to the author for providing me with e-ARC of the book. I am choosing to leave a review, and all my thoughts are my own honest ones.
My rating is closer to about a 4.5.
What a satisfying yet bittersweet ending to the Faeven Saga. I will seriously miss the characters so much. They have all came such a long way and endured so much. I am so happy that they were able to begin to heal and enjoy their HEA.
Hillary did such a fantastic job with tying everything together and giving readers closure on the conflicts that have slowly been set in motion since book 1. The action scenes, the romance, the tearjerking moments and everything had my emotions going up and down. I wanted to continue reading and yet did not for fear of what would happen. That is all exactly how I want to feel while engaging in a story.
Maeve and Tiernan will have my heart. They have both jumped through hoops to protect not only each other but the rest of their people as well. They are loyal to each other and care so deeply, but I enjoy seeing their conflicts as well as insecurities come into play. It was so realistic to see them struggle and yet find each other amidst it all. They've grown beautifully as individuals as well as a couple. I am sucker for the fated mates trope and they embodied my favorite aspects of the trope the whole time.
The cast of characters was so massive and I adore that so much. The stakes were high and I was worried for so many of my precious babies WITH REASON.
Hillary showed some special cards in her hand here and I am beyond excited to see what else she does with this world and what new delicious stories we will be given. Sign me up for all of it.
I just want to start out by congratulating Hillary on the upcoming release of this beautifully heartbreaking book. It is clear you have put your whole heart and soul into these characters and this world. I see you ma'am and I treasure you.
Also I want to say how honored I am to have been able to gain early access to this amazing book. It took me on a hell of a rollercoaster and I enjoyed every second of it. From all the love I felt to the tears that I sobbed. I couldn't have asked to be on a better journey throughout this whole series.
To anyone thinking about picking this series up, do it. Don't hesitate. It is truly an amazing experience and this fourth and final book left me sad that it was over, but happy with the outcome of it all. Maeve is truly a bad ass and her companions are just as much so.. esp Rowan.. iykyk.
HAPPY RELEASE DAY to Void of Endings by @hillaryraymer , which is a flawless ending to a fantastic saga!!! 💚
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Hillary has yet again tore out my heart and put it back together!!! The action is so incredible, I was on the edge of my seat the entire time reading. Tiernan and Maeve will always be one of my favorite fantasy couples!!! They, and the entire saga, are so brilliantly written. I was crying by the end because I am going to miss the world of Faeven. But, it was the perfect send-off to a beautiful story. 💕⚔️
If you haven’t read any of Hillary’s books yet, DO IT!!! She is one of my favorite indie authors atm and deserves the world. Congrats on finishing an amazing series, I am so proud of you!!! 🤩👑✨
Once again I was invested in this journey from start to finish. Void of Endings is the perfect conclusion to the Faeven saga. The imagery in the writing was perfect, I was able to see everything as it unfolded in heartbreaking detail. The balance of emotions was something to behold, I laughed out loud and also ugly cried. The character development is so well done, I was attached to these characters and I will miss them so much. I promise you won’t regret reading this series- it’s worth every minute you spend reading.
FMC = A bit nicer version of Aelin Galathynius -> completely badass needs no ones help, but is blessed with some of THE BEST found family i have ever experienced. I am really hoping for some spin off novels for these guys and I totally think we will get some with little plot holes setting us up for more.
This last book was truly giving Kingdom of Ash - if you are still thinking about Throne of Glass, read this series. It's like a mini version + smut.
5 star read alert ⭐️🚨So overall, I feel like the series took me for a ride, because there were points where I was OBSESSED and points where I was like meh. But wow this last book sealed the deal for me, it was an amazing conclusion. This series is familiar in some ways (if you're a fan of romantasy) but also soooooooooooo twisty and fresh. TLDR- read this series❤️ PS. I need more books on the side characters and if I don't get them I will be PISSED
What a magnificent ending for this series. I do believe it was a little rushed, things were happening left and right. However, everything that I could have possibly wanted for Maeve and Tiernan happened and I love them so much. Infinitely and eternally.
I would like to thank Hillary for allowing me to have an early ebook copy of Void of Endings. I am always grateful to help you!
What an amazing ending to the Faeven Saga! Void of Endings was absolutely amazing, and be prepared to feel all the emotions! You will definitely need a box of tissues.
At times I was screaming, at others I wanted to both happy and sad cry. Full of action, this is the fitting conclusion to the Faeven saga. I can't believe it's over. The way that Hillary Raymer tells this story and uses the plot to propel the characters into growth is unreal. There's heartache, there's joy, there's drama and parts that will have you laughing out loud. The characters' mistakes have consequences, and their growth has rewards, although not always in the way you'd expect, just like in real life. It makes the characters, their struggles, their feelings so much more real.
I've said the above about every single book in this series, but it won't cease being true. The characters are the selling point for me with this series, and the way that Hillary explores them only deepens as the books go on. Book one had me sucked in, but this one had me glued to my kindle and the edge of my seat.
If you're looking for a series with sexy fae, magic, found family and a cast of lovable characters, look no further.
I'm mind boggled that the final battle of a four book series was summed up in 50 pages & I managed to be confused for almost all of it. Then I read the epilogue, & the confusion tripled? Also where are my nice conclusions for some of these subplots?
I'm just glad Rowan is gone (I guess he is right??) because the Nightweaver/Dawnbringer plot was a big question mark for me.
Sad to say I didn't love the last two books because I really enjoyed the first two!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Not sure what to think about this series the writing was frankly not great and also the main character was so dumb and cringey the whole time but I was hooked
Um ma'am? I still have questions that need answers. As much as I love the Starstorm series, I need you to tell me what those last few answers are to the questions Tiernan said they never got? And what was the epoligue? 😭
This series was incredible. This final book wrecked my heart so much. I cried so many times. I was so angry with Maeve because girl, I understand you want to do things alone and be the fierce bitch you are but, Jesus so much could've been avoided had she just listened to everyone and stopped trying to do everything alone. But I still love my girl. She's such a spitfire and resiliant despite every hardship. Her and Tiernan's love is everything, although as a why choose girlie I was hoping against all hope Rowan would be their throuple. 😅 I loved Rowan so much and I hope he gets his own HEA because my heart ached so much for him and how he never got any closure.
I loved seeing Daddy Drake make an appearance. I felt so giddy meeting Aed and briefly seeing Drake after having beta read for ATSOS (Drake's story) and getting to know them both. I hope we do see Faeven crew again in a spinoff or in the Starstorm series.
✨✨𝑀𝑦 𝑇ℎ𝑜𝑢𝑔ℎ𝑡𝑠✨✨ Thank you so much to Hillary Raymer for my Advanced Reader Copy of Void of Endings! This review is comprised entirely of my own thoughts & opinions, & is based on the copy I received.
Where do I even begin?! I loved this book so much. I loved everything about it. I loved the emotions it made me feel. I loved the way it rounded out everyone’s stories. I loved the way it flowed & the way it was written. I literally loved everything about it. I took a long time to read it & finish it because I just didn’t want it to end. I took my time with it because I felt like I needed to really read it with intention & it delivered in every way imaginable. I laughed, I cried, and I connected with this story on such a deep level. It’s one of those books that will stay with me forever!
The pacing was INCREDIBLY written! It was nonstop action from the start. With the way that Book 3 ended, I’m so happy it started so action-packed! Maeve made me cry so many times. The amount of trauma that she has been through, you really can’t help but fall in love with her as a FMC because she is so strong and so incredibly resilient. She doesn’t stay down. She gets up and keeps fighting and she’s inspiring. There were times I wanted to wrap her up in a hug, & there were also times I wanted to shake her & tell her she’s not alone.
She & Tiernan have an *eternal & infinite* love (IYKYK), & they’re one of my favorite book couples ever. The way their connection deepened in this book was really beautiful. Everything they go through brings them closer together. You see how their anxieties & how their traumas play a part in their relationship & how those struggles affect their relationship. As the book goes on, you see them figure out how to navigate through those anxieties and I thought that progression was really wonderfully done, and very easy to connect to. We all want to protect the people we love most. I think Hillary wrote this part of the story in a really raw & emotionally impactful way that pulls to reader’s pathos.
I’m REALLY interested in a couple of characters whose stories seem like there might be more to it?! Which I would just love to see them again but overall, I feel really satisfied with the way that this story ended. I have fallen in love with Faeven over the course of these books & Hillary’s prose has become one of my ultimate favorites. I will recommend this series to everyone because it really has something for everyone. Each book gets better & better & this ending was just so perfect.
I could go on for hours and hours, but really, you just need to read this series if you haven’t yet! It’s truly one of my favorites ever, & I will never stop recommending it! I’m so honored to have been apart of Maeve’s story, & it’s one I will always come back to and never forget!
Void of Endings is book 4 in the Faeven Saga and the final! I highly recommend this series!
It is so hard to write a review for the last book in a series without giving away so many spoilers. I definitely had to give myself time to think what I was going to write!
I was so nervous for this and continued to be as I read Maeve’s journey back to Tiernan and their friends and family. I love their relationship so much and they both deserve to be back with their sirra. I love the characters in this series so much and it was so difficult reading what they had to go through. They’re all so amazing in every way. I didn’t want anything to happen to any of my favorite side characters! Every chapter had me on my toes and about to jump out of my seat! There were a lot of answers we got that we have been waiting on and some had dire and gory consequences.
In this book we get the final battle with Parisa and at first it did seem a bit rushed with the pacing. It for sure was a doozy though! I was like a little kid covering my eyes making sure my favorite characters were okay! There was so much action but also some tear jerking moments. But you can definitely expect an HEA! If you enjoy a series with great world building, found family, beautiful fae with romance with action then I recommend the Faeven saga!
I want to start off by saying how much this series means to me. How much I adore these characters, the story, Hillary did such an amazing job, and I’m so grateful I got to be a part of that. Thank you for bringing this book to life bringing the series to life. It is one of my favorites, and it’ll hold the special place in my heart I cannot believe it’s over. Now onto the book I went on a roller coaster of emotions from laughing, to crying, to bawling, to laughing again, and then back to bawling. It was so well written it was so beautifully done, and I loved every second of it. Maeve: is such a bad ass I loved her growth throughout the series how she came to her own how she created a name for herself. She is such an amazing character. Tiernan: was such a complex character. He was caring and sweet and took care of everyone. He loved and held, dear. She was a bad ass in his own way, and I loved every bit of his character, his development, his love for everyone. All of the characters are amazing every last one of them from the side character you made once in the book to a character that’s been with you throughout the whole series. Hillary really did such an amazing job writing this. She put her heart and soul into it and you can tell. Such a book thank you again Hilary.
If you know me, you know I'm an absolute sl*t for anything Hillary Raymer puts out there. I have yet to read any book of hers that wasn't 5 stars for me.
I really don't know if I can write a GOOD review I loved this so much and can't even form coherent sentences at the moment.
The Faeven Saga is over. Done. Gone. I am too. Part of my soul is gone. It's back with Aed. He can keep it.
I really didn't know what to expect. After three books with minimal deaths, I knew we'd be in for a wild ride. I wasn't expecting THIS.
Characters: Everyone had massive growth in this book, even those who are no longer with us. 💔 (No spoilers, y'all are just going to have to read it yourselves).
Spice: well placed and not distracting. I love it. 🌶️
World Building: I'm not going to get into this because there are spoilers for what I found the most interesting and important. But it's there. Trust me.
Disliked: well, some people are dead. And I knew we wouldn't get four books without another death. I just didn't know who and my heart hurts.
But also my favorite character is still here with us. And I'm grateful for that. 🫶🏻
✨ My thoughts ✨ Hillary has done it again. This book absolutely broke me in the best way. Yes I did cry at the end. This has everything you want in a final conclusion for a fantasy series. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I love seeing all the little easter eggs come together. I love seeing Maeve really grow into what she always meant to be. She is truly one of my FMC. I want to gush about all the details but I can't spoil everything. I loved how action packed it was but still had those soft moments. I also highlighted so many amazing quotes in this book. I seriously can't recommend this book and series enough. I promise you won't regret reading it.
Void of Endings is the final book in Faeven Saga by Hillary Raymer. This is recommended for 18+. As always please check TW before reading. This series is a must read for anyone who loves romantic fantasy. The entire series is out now.
✨ I want to thank Hillary for the E-arc of this book. These are my own true thoughts ✨
This was a fantastic ending to this amazing series. I am so sad to see it end but I feel like it flowed and ended just the way it should have even with the chaos of the war we've been building up to. More times than not I was on my seat waiting for the ball to drop cause HR was not afraid to break our hearts and rip some characters right out from beneath us....but I get it now!! It had to happen but in the moment she wrote it so painfully perfect that you feel the emotions ripple off the pages whether it was a happy feeling or a heart wrenching feeling!
HR couldn't have written a better FMC for this series. Throughout all the installments of this series the one thing that stands out the most to me was how she always fought!! She fought for everything...her family, her love, her people, and even though it took the longest for her she finally fought for herself. Even though Tiernan wasn't always as patient as he should have been, he was her perfect match!!
