Never Giving Up

Rate this book
My knight in shining armor doesn't ride a white horse; he drives a Harley.
Except this time, I'm not the only one who needs saving.

Charlie (Charlotte)
I had a plan.
Work as a cam girl for a few months and save enough money to get the hell away from my overbearing father.
But when dear old Dad finds out about my little business venture...
Let’s just say, it doesn’t go so well.
Cue my stupidly sexy ex, Ryan, swooping in on his Harley to save the day.
He offers me a place to live, and I’m just desperate enough to accept it.
Now, he’s everywhere I look, his gentle touches and heated gaze making me want things I can’t have.
Because I know, when the truth inevitably comes out, that’ll be the end of this love story.
What I don’t know is if my heart will survive it.

Ryan
What idiot invites the girl who broke his heart to live with him?
This idiot, obviously.
It’s slow torture, seeing Charlie every day and not being able to hold her, to love her the way I’ve always loved her.
But it’s also the opportunity I need to get her back.
Problem is, every time I feel us drawing closer, she pulls away.
It’s like she’s playing a game but never told me the rules.
Guess that means I’ll have to make up my own rules, because this is a game I can’t afford to lose.

Never Giving Up is a spicy second chance college romance with a tattooed alpha-cinnamon roll hero, no cliffhanger and a guaranteed HEA. It is the fourth and final book in the Never U series, but can be read as a standalone.

This is the fourth installment, and part of an interconnected standalone series. I got to meet these two in the prequel (link provided for download at the end of each book). By the end of that, I was *not* so patiently waiting to get more of these two. With each book that C.R. Lee released, I got more glimpses of these two (and loved those books too!), and it made me that much more excited to get closer.

Finally!!! I got Ryan and Charlie’s book!!!! I was not disappointed at all! Like I said, with each previous book, I got glimpses of their lives and what they were doing. I had a feeling Charlie was feeling some of the things that were finally confirmed. But oh boy! I was not expecting some of the things she said! My heart broke for her with everything that she had to go through. But I was also so excited and happy to watch her grow and find herself, along with coming to the realization she belonged with Ryan.

My heart broke for Ryan while he dealt with his emotions. Once they talked (and he finally listened), he was a swoon inducing hunk of a man who knew how to bring the steam! I loved how much he cared for her and how protective, supportive and encouraging he was! I thought he was my favorite with the small glimpses I got, but this book definitely confirmed it!

I don’t want this series to end! I need more Garrett and Trey! Garrett was definitely trying to steal my heart from Ryan, and I hope that he will eventually get his own book to express more of his goofy and caring self!

I received an advanced readers copy. These thoughts and opinions are my own.

Oh my god I can’t believe book four already binge reading is such fun lmao!!! And I can’t believe we finally got Ryan and Charlie’s book! And let me tell you much like everyone else I was not disappointed at all! Something that I think was a good idea while reading the previous book, we got little glimpses of their lives and the things they were doing or accomplishing. Me personally I had a feeling that Charlie was starting to feel some of the things that were finally confirmed in this book.. But when it finally came out, I was not expecting some of the things she said! My heart literally broke for her with everything that she had to go through. But through all her trials and tribulations I was quite happy to watch her grow and find herself, along with finally coming to the realization she belonged with Ryan.

Not only did mh heart break for Charlie through this book. Jesus I had to have my tissues ready because he’s I am a cryer. My heart literally broke for Ryan while he dealt with his emotions as well. But I love a man who isn’t afraid to express him self or his emotions. Once they talked and she finally got him to actually listen to her. (About time huh
lol) This hot, swoon worthy hunk of man definitely knew how to bring the heat! I literally fanned my self while reading this book. I lovehow much he cared for her and how protective, he was! I thought he was my favorite with the small glimpses I got, but this book definitely confirmed it! Ryan is my new favorite I definitely want more.

Never Giving Up is the fourth book in the Never U series by CR Lee. These can be read as standalone novels, but you would definitely miss out on the back history of all of the couples if you haven't read them all. This is a great addition to this series and is one of those books that you just cannot put down once you pick it up.

This book in the series is a second chance romance between Charlie and Ryan. I fell in love with these characters early on in Never Moving On and have been patiently waiting for this couples reunion after their break-up. Charlie has grown up with overly protective father and has always struggled to break the chains that she feels holds her back. She has always been perceived as a good girl but that isn't who she really is. She has a wild side, wants to have fun, and just wants to be herself. Ryan has been obsessively in love with Charlie since he first laid eyes on her. He has tried to be the boyfriend that he thinks she wants, instead of the staying true to himself. Once they both realize they have been holding back on each other, they can finally give their relationship another try.

This story has lava levels of spice and will leave you thoroughly satisfied! You cannot go wrong with any of the books in this series!

Holy smokes! I think this might be my favorite CR Lee book yet, and that’s saying a lot because the Never U series has some heavy hitters! We’ve seen Charlie and Ryan throughout the Never U series and heard about how they met. And through each book, we’re shown glimpses of the relationship that eventually falls to heartache. Never Giving Up finally gives us the whole story AND their current situation.

Charlie is perceived as the good girl, but all she wants is to break that mold and get out from under her father’s thumb. Ryan is a biker bad boy who handled Charlie too delicately and lost the love of his life in the process.

When Charlie’s circumstances change, Ryan knows this might be his only shot at getting her back.

Charlie’s home life is surprising and although she lets on that her parents are overbearing, all her friends and Ryan are shocked to learn the truth - and find out just how much of a naughty girl Charlie truly is.

I love Charlie’s spirit and her thoughts on why she did what she did. I think this book takes big strides in fighting the stigma of women enjoying their spicy life.

We’ve gotten bits and pieces of Charlie and Ryan throughout the series so far, but this is their full story and it is a powerful story.
Filled with raw, relatable drama and real-life problems this story grabs your attention and doesn’t let go.
Charlie has a tough life and she just wants to shake the shackles imposed by her family. She decides that life is better if she embraces who she is meant to be and lives for herself.
Ryan loves Charlie and since their earlier breakup has been looking for a way to reunite, now he has his chance.
With heartache, drama, angst, brilliant characters who grow together through tough choices, romance, humour, intense emotion, steam and overwhelming friendships culminating in a perfect HEA.
I love seeing the characters from previous books pop in and out so we don’t lose contact with them.
I’m sad that this is the last book in this series, I love these characters and am sorry to say goodbye.
This is such a good series, if you haven’t read any of it you are definitely missing out. Go now, get them on your TBR, and become just as addicted to this author as the rest of us.

I received a copy from the author and this is my voluntary review.

Having read the whole series I had been waiting for this couple. Staying true to yourself is so important and going as far as you need to for yourself to truely be happy is important. As Charlie takes what steps she needs to for her life Ryan is there. He is always there. When he wakes up and realizes being true to himself is a important step to putting things back together.

These characters are real, raw, emotional, and chemistry that's off the charts hot!

Love that the characters in Series pop in and u get to see a bit of how they are doing as well.

There is so much humor in this book and topics are real and relatable.

I was sucked in from the beginning when Charlie cries you want to cry. When you hit those hot moments get a cold drink and a fan.

This is a must read series. This author did a fantastic job on these characters!

Okay, so first things first—if you haven't read the whole Never U series, you're missing out. But even if you're just diving into this latest book, you're in for a treat. Ryan and Charlie's dynamic? It's been brewing in the past 3 books, and trust me, it's worth the buildup.

Charlie's story hits deep. Imagine growing up with all this religious trauma and a super strict household. She's on this journey to break free and be her own person. And the whole second-chance romance vibe? Total heart-eyes. I was here for every moment of her trying to find herself and step away from what everyone else wanted for her.

Also, can we talk about the found family theme? Absolute perfection. It's like a warm hug in the middle of a story. And, of course, the steamy moments? Whew! Just the right amount of spice.

I've always loved this authors books. Since discovering book one on Tiktok. Her sense of humor is amazing and the flow of her writing is perfect. It makes it so easy to read and easy to love. I was in a reading slump before I read this, couldn't focus on a book long enough to binge it, this one though? I read it in a day.

It feels like I've been following this couple since book 1, and now I'm sure, they are my absolute favorite. This book blew it right out of the park. Ryan and Charlie's story, it's angsty, it's spicy, it's funny, it's emotional, it's REAL. This book made me feel all the emotions. From chuckling at my screen, to wanting to throw it over her struggle with her family, to wanting to reach in and steal Ryan for myself.

Charlie is a rebellious sort, definitely not afraid to be herself, to be different than what's expected of her. She's strong, fierce, and 100% loveable. Ryan? He's hot, and so sweet he makes me teeth hurt in the best way. Seriously, where can I find a man like him? Do they even exist out of books? Forget new book boyfriend, this man is my book husband. The way he loves her so fiercely and would do anything to make Charlie smile, it's just heart melting (and panty melting 🤣) and the spice? *fans self* woof, phenomenal. HIGHLY RECCOMEND!

If you like college romance, second chance at love books, this one is for you! Thank me later.

I think I may have found my new favorite author.

This story is about Charlie and Ryan

Charlie is young going to college and trying to make her way through life, while still living with her parents. She makes some not-so-good decisions and her parents kick her out of their
house. So making a decision she leaves and stays on her friend's couch.
Things are soon to change in a very big way for Charlie and his name is Ryan.

Ryan has had it bad for Charlie for many years.
Now she is on her own and has no place to go. We'll, so his brother asked her to move in with them. He has no idea how to handle that, cause he doesn't wanna get hurt again. The only way to do this is by being an .......

I got involved with this book. Couldn't put it down and I am buying all four of these books to have for myself. She is an amazing author.
I liked how all the characters were so believable and stole my heart. I will always have this book close to me to read over and over

Take a look at her books and read one or two. She doesn't disappoint.

I would love to see more of the brothers. Garrett and Trey.

I enjoyed Charlie and Ryan's story.
Filled with family, friendships and growing up.
There was drama, humor, spice and lots of emtions.
I liked both main characters, but Ryan was probably my favorite.
I love that he never gave up on Charlie
He was just an overall sweet and likeable guy.
Their connection seemed genuine and their chemistry was great.
I felt like both MC went through some growth, but mostly Charlie. I love that Charlie owns who she is and learns to love herself.
I loved the banter between Ryan and his brothers. It added laughter and fun to the story.
Loved the ending!

Charlie's family are nothing like her. Going to church and being very concerned about what everyone thinks seem to be priority.  Charlie cannot wait to move out. She wished she had when she started college like she had planned.  Her dad also keeps trying to set her up with young men he would like her to be with - too stuffy!  Charlie much prefers someone like her ex Ryan, but only of he didn't want to keep her on a pedestal!

After a blow up with her parents, Charlie finds herself looking for somewhere to live.  Ryan, Charlie's ex, and his brothers have just bought a house that needs doing up, but when Garrett finds out about Charlie's situation, he insists that she should move into their spare room. As she currently has no income instead of rent the boys decide she can help do the place up with them. This could be very awkward!

The story is a great tale of how you can choose your friends but you can't choose your family. Ryan, his brothers and Charlie's group of friends become her family. Some great laughs in this book and a lovely story of how Ryan tries to work his way back in Charlie's heart (if he was ever out in the first place). Five well earned stars for my new favourite book in the series!

God I loved Ryan and Charlie. I also just say I wish we had books for both Garrett and Trey. Because I loved them too. Let's get into it. The scene with Dylan, Ryan and Charlie I mean come on!!!!!!!! I am all here for that. I loved the second chance romance im usually not a fan. But this definitely worked. I loved the dominate side of Ryan. Who doesn't love being called a good girl! The whole book was super good. I love a book where all the side characters are just as good as the main. Loved the series for sure.

This is the 4th book in this series..they can be all read as standalone...however, you will miss vital back stories along the way..This happens to be a Second Chance between Charlie and Ryan. I love this author's writing and devour any books by her...love how all the books intertwine and you get updated on the other characters..from the series..LOVE, love Ryan since forever...he is one in a million and definitely a guy a girl could fall in love with...Charlie in this book has such heartbreak and raw emotional angst...with mainly her family my heart really hurt so much for her..I don't want to give any spoilers..but this book is a different take on angst and emotional toil. Charlie and Ryan they do pull through...with the help of supportive friends...I recommend this book you won't be disappointed.

I received this as an ARC and leaving my honest opinion voluntarily.

This is the 4th book in the Never U series, and can be read as a standalone, although the main characters, Charlie and Ryan, are found in all four books.
I really liked this book. You have Charlie who is trying to find herself, and not be what others think she should be. And Ryan, who is trying to be who he thinks matches with Charlie, and not who he truly is. They over come parent issues, siblings and job troubles to come together.

This has been my favourite of the series, Charlie & Ryan finally get their H.E.A after a long separation. I wasn't sure how they could be put back together with how they both felt and external factors, then the opening chapter made me even more sure it couldn't work out. How wrong was I.
This was an emotional, cathartic and steamier than I expected read.

DNF. The entire plot of a 21 year old college student wanting to be rebellious and do stupid immature things just for the sole purpose of pissing off the parents wasn’t it for me. The character was just immature and underdeveloped. I couldn’t connect. Worst book out of all of it especially after the heavy plot we got for Emma and Kat, the drama here just fell very flat and seems trivial.

Charlie's home life is not exactly happy. She leaves and finds support with Ryan and his brothers. Charlie is strong and determined. This is also a second chance for her and Ryan and I loved how he supported and encouraged her. The relationship she shared with his brothers was great too.

I loved how Charlie and Ryan got back together. I also loved how they still loved each other.

Their breakup could have been avoided if Charlie told him what she wanted. But overall it was a fun read. There is violence and assaults that occur. But overall sweet.

Never Giving Up is the fourth book in the Never U series and I really enjoyed it. In the previous books we did not learn a whole lot about Ryan and Charlie. I am really glad that this book developed these two characters. The break up with Ryan was mentioned in earlier books but we don’t really get a full understanding of why it happened. Charlie is seen as this sweet and innocent girl. She rebels against her parents because they don’t see her for who she really is. After being kicked out of her house, her friends take her in. One of these friends is her ex, Ryan. I am so glad that they communicated openly and honestly. Ryan accepted Charlie for who she was and their relationship blossomed.

I am sad that this series has come to an end. You can see throughout all of the books that these friends are truly family. They accept each other no matter what and are always there for each other. I think this one might be my favorite in the series. It was very spicy, sometimes too much for me, but I loved the storyline.

This was a hot second-chance romance.

"The man is a living, breathing work of art, and he was mine. Then I ruined it."

Charlie Hayes and Ryan Morgan love each so much, until Charlie broke up with him. He tried to be the person he thought she wanted, and she only wanted him to stop treating her like the woman she wasn't. This was a fab, super hot story about a girl who wanted to spread her wings and experience what life had to offer, but was stifled by her parents and their expectations. She battled with her desire to live her own life and her pain that her family didn't love her for herself. I loved Ryan's patience but I also loved that when enough was enough, he took control. He was sexy AF! He loved Charlie enough to make her fantasies come true, and I was impressed by his conviction that he was the only one she truly wanted.

Charlie’s home life is very restrictive so she goes out of her way to express herself. When her parents discover her secret job, then it really hits the fan. While staying on Stella’s couch, her ex, Ryan, is trying to find a way to win her back. His brothers help out with this plan by offering her an extra room at their house. Now Charlie and Ryan have to figure out how to navigate their new situation and if they can move forward together.

Absolutely LOVED Charlie and Ryan. I love how we watch Charlie grow and accept that it is alright to be herself, especially because those that truly love and care for her will accept it. Sometimes family is those you choose, not those you share blood with. As always, I LOVED ALL the characters. Ryan's brothers were amazing. Loved the biker guys and of course those from the previous books. I laughed and cried in this book. Ryan also accepts that Charlie may want the parts of him he was trying not to be. This is a standalone, but you should really go and read the other books because they are awesome. It is a HEA.
