Another great series by Callaghan! I swear I feel Easton Island is a magical place. Callaghan has done a good job welcoming the reader into the unfolding life story of Morgan Easton.
I also like that it has a Christian aspect to it that makes me know it’s there and God is in the forefront, but His presence is not made to be so extreme that I feel the writer’s beliefs are being pushed on me.
Callaghan has created an island full of beautiful views of the beach, ideal settings from porches, and warm and inviting town folk. I want to live on Easton Island! Maybe one day I’ll have my own little slice of paradise like it.
I have to tell something about this book that is unfortunate… Jason is in it. If you’ve read any of the previous books you know Jason is Morgan’s ex-husband. He held Morgan at gunpoint in the book directly before this one. He also made her withdraw money from the bank to give to him. He believes she owes him and that it’s her fault he may go to prison. Obviously he’s narcissistic never taking blame for his own actions - they’re everyone else’s fault but his own. Jason has finally lost his ding dang mind!
What happened in this book: Morgan had to face Jason. Jason’s mother had a showdown with Elizabeth, Morgan’s grandmother. Paparazzi ambushed Morgan in Florida. A reporter hides in Morgan’s bushes to get a scoop. Grandmother has a crush on someone but won’t admit it. Morgan and Quinn finally go to Bird Island… and this trip has quite an exciting outcome. Quinn makes a confession to Morgan. Morgan gets more ready for her grand opening of her Bed and Breakfast.
And so much more!
Everything works out for nearly everyone in the end in ways I wouldn’t have ever guessed. So gooood. There were moments I was so stressed out for Morgan though!
Be sure to stick around once the book is finished because there is a recipe at the very end. The recipe in this book is Matzo Ball Soup.
Next in this great cozy mystery series is book 9, “A Most Unusual Guest.” Can’t wait!
See you in my next review. Deuces to your cabooses! ✨ 🍑 ✨
Once again Hope Callaghan writes an excellent exciting book to add to the Easton Island series!! I can not wait for the next book. In Once and For All , Morgan gets a summons to witness for the prosecution against her ex- husband Jason. If there is something that Morgan doesn't want, it's to see her ex-husband face to face. Her grandmother, Elizabeth thinks that with Morgan's testimony that Jason will be put in prison for a long, long time and that Morgan can not get out of testifying so to make the best of it. Morgan's grandmother told her to tell the truth about all Jason had done and what he put her through. So, Morgan, Elizabeth and Morgan's brother Brett took a private jet from the newly opened Easton Island Airport. Testifying at Jason's trial was as nerve racking as she expected. Back on Easton Island, Morgan found out that Jason's trial had gone to the jury and now it was a waiting game. While waiting for word of the jury's decision Morgan throws herself into getting the Locke Point Bed and Breakfast up and running ....With a heavy worried heart Morgan and her best friend Quinn decide to have a fun afternoon that almost ends in tragedy. You will have to read Easton Island: Once and For All to find out if Morgan needs to be watching her back if Jason is aquitted, or if he will be put in prison till he is an old man, and everyone can breathe a sigh of relief. Also, will Morgan get the new B&B up and running and most of all what is going to happen to the medallion and can they keep it secret....or will someone realize they found it???
I was so excited to see another Eastons Island book had been released! This series has so much to learn about Easton Island & its history as well as the Eastons & Locke families! Morgan is almost ready to open Locke Point Bed & Breakfast! Her grandmother, Quinn, Brett, Wyatt, Ronnie, Jax, Ben, & even Grace from the Lilac Inn joins Morgan to tour the renovated Inn & help her name the new rooms! As things are winding down, she sees an "official looking envelope" in her mail! She opens it, thinking it is her license for the Inn! Instead it's a subpoena from the Prosecutor in Jason's trial! He wants her to testify against Jason the day after tomorrow! Her grandmother insists that she & Brett will accompany her. They will have a private jet take them down the next day hen come back the day after.
As they get to FL, Morgan takes them around to some of the special places for her & her mother! It is a wonderful time & helps relax Morgan as much as she can with her testimony looming over her!
The book ended far too quickly & left more unanswered questions! It is a long time until the next book!😃
What a storyline in this most recent Easton Island series by Hope Callaghan!! Morgan ex husband is finally set for trial and Morgan must fly to Florida to testify against him. Along with her brother and grandmother, Morgan makes the trip and testifies in the drug portion oh his trial...the kidnapping and assault trial was still to come. On top of this, Morgan's bed and breakfast is set to open soon. She and best friend, Quinn , decide to finally realize one goal since moving to the island and take a kayak one day to visit Bird Island. With the kayak secured, the two explore the island, have a picnic and look at the many birds that call the island home. Soon it is time to head back home...only problem is...the kayak is missing, the have no cell reception and no one knows that they're gone!!!
Will they be rescued? Will the verdict be returned regarding her ex husband? Will the bed and breakfast open successfully? You have GOT to read this book and find out. I could not put this one down...it was a page turner from page one! I can not wait till next month for the release of the next book in the series!!!
Once again I was not disappointed with a book by Hope Callaghan. Easton Island is a very Interesting setting that is full of island history. The loyalty among the family is something to be cherished. When Morgan was summoned to appear in court to testify against her ex my heart went out to her. She has been through so much because of him. I immediately wanted him to be found guilty and thrown in jail for life, but will it happen. I absolutely love this series and cannot wait for the next book. I am looking forward to seeing how the relationships between Morgan & Wyatt, Quinn & Brett develop. And then there is Elizabeth. Does she have a secret relationship. Plus there is Jax & Ronnie and their ongoing bickering. What's next for all of them?
This series has definitely become one of my most Favorite series written by Hope Callaghan. The stories are so interesting that I can’t stop reading page after page. The mysteries the people and animals are all so real to me. Plus a lot of similarities to some of our Family things. Such as my dad was Denver and my Mom was Betty but supposed to have been Elizabeth. It just brings back memories of being with our Grandmother whom we called Mamaw. She was a bit feisty and sassy and Lovable. Just like your story of this Grandmother and Granddaughter. This is definitely a recommended series if you like mystery, fun, some danger and outrageous events.
Another great addition to the Easton Island series
Easton Island: Once And For All is the 8th book in the series. It is best to read them in order. Morgan Easton is living on Easton Island and has found her Grandmother Elizabeth, her half brother Brett, her boyfriend police officer Wyatt Dawson and many new friends plus her best friend Quinn. She is finishing up Locke Pointe B&B, her maternal grandparents' home. Everything is going well until she receives a summons which brings up painful history. I was glad to see this aspect resolved and it was interspersed with touching family moments. This is an enjoyable series with wonderful characters and enough going on to keep the story interesting. #EastonIslandOnceAndForAll #EastonIslandFamilySaga
Easton Island is a small town on Lake Huron Michigan near the Canadian border. Locke Pointe, Morgan grandparents’ home, was filled with love and lots of memories. Locke Pointe was a gift. A gift to Morgan, to the islanders, and the guests. By turning Locke Pointe into a bed and breakfast Morgan creates more memories and a new chapter in Easton Island’s Locke history. A legacy of love, family and friends. Once and For All is a page turning, who dun it, mystery romance with relatable characters, twist and turn plot, and a believable resolution. Hope Callaghan’s style includes a character list and tidbits from the previous stories to jog the reader's memory.
I can’t believe this is book number eight in the Easton Island series! I have enjoyed reading them and following Morgan getting to know her family. Morgan is finishing up last minute touches on Locke Point B&B, has hired staff and is finally taking reservations. Meanwhile, an old problem rears it’s head and Morgan has to make a quick trip back to Florida as a character witness for the prosecution about her nasty ex, Jason, hoping they convict him of fraud and he’s sentenced to a long stay in prison. I received a free copy of this book from the author and am delighted to write this review.
An enjoyable family history uniting a step, a grand, and community. The opening of her bed and breakfast is soon. Morgan is unexpectedly summoned to testify in her ex-husbands Florida trial. This series episode leaves you wanting time to explore and enjoy the lovely Easton Island. The reopened airport better connects both United States and Canadian residents with friends and relatives.
As an ARC reader, it is my pleasure to share a big two thumbs up to our author, Hope Callaghan. She has provided the opportunity to meet new friends and visit new places.
What a great installment of Easton Island adventures! A rollercoaster of emotions as I read through Once and For All. I am really enjoying this series. Watching Morgan and even Quinn embrace the island life and have so many adventures is heart warming. Both beginning new chapters in life…directions they never thought they would go. Hope Callaghan is a fantastic writer who pulls you in to each book to the point you’re unable to stop turning the pages. I’m excited to see what adventures come next for Easton Island and its beloved residents.
Nestled in a picturesque setting, the meticulously restored Locke residence now stands as an enchanting bed and breakfast, seamlessly blending historical authenticity with modern comfort. The owners' thoughtful renovation honors the building's original architectural details, creating an immersive experience that invites guests to step back in time while enjoying contemporary amenities. Each carefully curated space tells a story, offering travelers a unique opportunity to connect with the region's cultural heritage and architectural legacy.
I’m enjoying the continuing story of Morgan Easton. I could not really give this book 5 stars because, like the others in the Easton island Family Saga, it is more like an installment in a longer novel rather than a complete book in and of itself. Taken with the other installments, it is an interesting and intriguing story, and I look forward to the next in the series.
That’s what you feel like when you read these books. I love Ms. Callaghan’s telling of Easton Island. In this saga, Morgan must appear in Court for Jasons hearing and being back where she began the trip. Will Jason get sentenced to prison? Or will Morgan have to endure more of him? Back at home Locke Point is getting ready to open as a B&B and Morgan is all nerves hoping that everything goes OK. Enjoy the book. I can’t wait for the next one.
Every book in this series has left me wanting for more . They are written with thoughtfulness and intrigue. Morgan and her family are very close and full of caring you would never know that they hadn't known each other Morgan's entire life until she met them in her 40's.
Hope Callaghan never disappoints. It's so nice to be able to read a mystery without dead bodies. The characters are very likable and with each book in the series a little more of the history and secrets of the island are revealed. As usual, I can't wait for the next book to come out.
Every trip to Easton Island is like a mini vacation with good friends! This time Morgan has several obstacles to overcome so that her life on the island came progress. Delightfully heartwarming! This is Hope Callaghan at her best. Highly recommended! I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the next in the series.
Can no wait to travel to Easton Island again . hope it is soon. I just love the family legacy inn and the relaxed vibe the book eludes to. I feel as if I traveled there and now sadly my vacation is over but I don't want leave . cannot wait until the next trip!
Hope's descriptions of Easton Island takes me back to our years of living on Georgian Bay and also visiting family in Port Huron. Her characters are likeable, except for the villains who are easy to dislike and fear. This is my favorite of all of Hope's wonderful book series.
Morgan Easton continues to immerse herself into her newfound life on Easton Island while also learning to stand her ground whenever necessary. Protecting a family secret, opening a new and exciting business venture, while respecting the family legacy - a wonderful Cinderella story
I am down to book number nine and sad that I will be leaving the family soon. I have not been able to stop reading the series since I started a week ago. I have loved every minute of reading and every character in the books with the exception of Jason. So glad he is gone.
This is one of my favorite series that Hope writes. It is fun with mystery, suspense, romance, family, friends, and trusting the Lord. Her character development makes you feel like you know the characters. You will love all the books. I can't wait for the next one!
On the first story, I kept thinking she ended it too soon. I wanted more. Thank heavens I found the series when there are 12 books. A light series with no violence, cuss word or explicit sex. A light story about a family and their life. I would love to go visit The Pointe.
What a pleasant book. The series is winding down and some of the loose ends are tied up. Per the author, there will be one more book, which will hopefully tie up the rest of the storyline. I would strongly recommend reading the series in order.
I have enjoyed reading all the books in this series. They are fun, you get caught up in all the adventures. I also enjoy the other books Hope has written. I recommend them for some memorable reading.
What a awesome book! I was so happy to read that Jason was found guilty. I was being to think that the girls were go-to spend the night on Bird Island, but they were rescued. Morgan's B&B is going to be a big hit. I loved the book.
I love this series, as well as others, by Ms Callaghan. In this series, Morgan, the main character had adopted a dog she and her best friend Quinn had found in the first book. Chester the dog has quite a personality and just as likeable as the rest of the characters.
While waiting for the outcome of her ex-husband's trial, Morgan moves ahead with the opening of her B & B at Locke Point. While an enjoyable read tying up a couple of loose ends, this instalment was very short.
Great series! Captivating and enjoyable from the beginning.
I love Morgan and her family and friends, especially her Grandmother. Morgan's past and present are joined for a great reading adventure. I highly recommend this book and series!
I'm loving this series!! It doesn't take long to get back into the story/plot in between book publications. What's going on with Morgan & Wyatt? Jason? Quinn & Brett? Grandmother? Book 8 isn't the end. Can't wait til book 9 comes out!
