A full plate? More like an overflowing platter. The last thing I have time for is the bad boy next door. Even if he’s hot, sweaty, muscled, pierced, and makes sexy promises that keep me on edge.
Survival Mode is how I live. My ghost kitchen is the place to be for every work crew in the city, and I bust my butt from sunup to sun down, while rubbing every nickel and dime together to scrape by.
And it’s going fine. Until he shows up.
Kyle Harrington parks his truck right in the middle of my drive-thru line and acts like the trouble he’s causing is no big deal. Even tossing me a cocky smirk as he struts into my neighbor’s backyard to get to work on her construction project. If his annoying presence isn’t a one-time thing, he’ll have to learn that I’m not one to mess with.
Except no matter how many times I tell him I have zero interest in adding him to my too-busy schedule and flipping him off, he keeps coming back for more.
And he’s starting to break through my defenses, letting me see beyond his dirty innuendos, wicked invitations, and aw-shucks charm. There’s a lot more to Kyle than the rough and tumble exterior.
Do I have the guts to risk everything I’ve worked for to find out if he’s worth my precious time?
All it’ll take is one kiss…
Never Kiss The Bad Boy is a full-length romance with an HEA. It can be read as a standalone.

This is book four in the series and each and every book is a standalone………
This is one of those Read’s where you can completely be engulfed into the story……..
Dani Is a spicy Latina woman running a Ghost restaurant out of her home…And she has a neighbor from Hell
If you thought that Karen on your block was bad you have not met Kathy…….. She has made Dana’s life a living hell
Kyle Is considered the black sheep of the family …. He is the owner of a Construction company that builds pools
Now he is Caught in the crosshairs between his new contract with Kathy and her neighbor
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good enemy to lover comedy read, Who also enjoys plenty of aggressive drama along with plenty of family drama I’m assuming you are in the right place Hehe
I read and enjoyed the previous books in this series but I just can’t get into this one.
Unfortunately, I just don’t care for the FMC. She’s a very hard worker (we heard that A LOT) but I don’t like her.
Dani believes she is entitled to run a two-lane drive-through catering service from her home and is mad when the neighbor’s pool construction project slows down her process. She then takes her anger out on the owner of the construction company.
Just because the town doesn’t have ordinances against it, doesn’t mean it’s right.
You can’t bitch about the neighbor trying to take “ownership” of the area surrounding her home when you are also doing the same thing.
Bad boy, black sheep Kyle Harrington meets his match when he comes face to face with the fiery Dani. She has a take no prisoners approach to life that consists of yelling first and asking questions later. His family and siblings have no idea about his life as Kyle is a closed book. He is rough around the edges and does not let anyone apart from his dog Peanut Butter into his inner circle. Dani is stubborn and independent, running a cooking business from her kitchen. Their paths collide when Kyle takes a job next door to Dani to install a pool and the fact that she has the neighbor from hell does not help his case at all.
What follows is an enemies to lovers battle of wills and these two finding common ground and Dani slowly breaking her misconceptions about Kyle and her past baggage. Lots of chemistry and steam as these two really were fire together. Another fantastic read, I am absolutely loving this series.
Dani loves her neighborhood with it's old houses and quirky neighbors, except for one neighbor in particular... Dani owns her own business which she runs out of her home. Kathy, the aforementioned neighbor, does not like the congestion it brings to their street. Dani comes from a family previously in the restaurant business. When her parents retired, they simply closed down and that's when she started her own business. When Kathy decides she wants a pool, she calls Kyle and he and his crew begin working. Kyle does custom work and his reputation precedes him. Kyle soon realizes he not only has to deal with a super picky client, but also her sexy, stubborn neighbor Dani. More alike than not, Dani is going to push all his buttons, but when push comes to shove they become friends. Dani isn't looking for a relationship and neither is Kyle, except Dani was different and Kyle does his best to prove himself worthy of a woman like Dani. Kyle is good looking, cocky and he knows it. Only ever relying on herself, Dani is stubborn, beautiful and fiercely independent. Their individual upbringing greatly influenced their lives and what they wanted in the future. And Kyle sees Dani as his future.
Well written story with well developed characters! Perfect balance of romance, family and character growth! Kyle and Dani's chemistry was off the charts!!! I highly recommend this amazing read!!
Black sheep so he think is Kyle Harrington. He own his own business, built it from the bottom to the top takes only jobs he wants and didn’t take money from his family, which is rich..He always felt he was the tagalong and then nobody wanted him. Dani works from her house, serving lunches in her front yard to a lot of people..Her neighbor and her get into it all the time. Kyle met her while he was doing a pool at her neighbors house..She was very standoffish with him and didn’t like that he park his truck out front block her business.. Both him and Dani are stubborn people, and very independent both of them. When finally got together, you wouldn’t haven’t of known that they didn’t like each other in the beginning. Lot of chemistry , very explosive and love
Dani is an entitled b* under the disguise of being a tough woman in survival mode. She is hateful and rude for no reason. I understand being frustrated but she was blaming him for things he had literally no control over. Their relationship felt forced and toxic. Just couldn’t get over the beginning and it made me not like Dani throughout the book even though the author tried explaining why she was the way she was. Instead of using it as an excuse to be an ass to everyone, and painting everyone with the same brush, she could have had growth. Instead everyone just acted like none of her bad attitude ever happened.
DNF: I got about 100 pages in, but all they were doing was screaming at each other and talking about business - it was kind of exhausting. I generally enjoy the author's work, but do think I've outgrown it.
Kyle is the "black sheep" of his family. The youngest and the knew always in trouble. He has pushed his family away and has built a thriving pool business and a wall around himself, not letting anyone in. Dani is a strong personality who loved working in her family's restaurant and hoped to take it over buf her father is "old-fashioned " and would only pass it on to his son. So Dani opens her own business serving the workers who used to come to her family's restaurant. These two have met their match with the other. Dani's quick wit and sarcastic comments attrack Kyle. Kyle's "bad boy" look and his need to help Dani attracted her. There is steam. There is attraction. There is hesitation because neither is looking to let anyone into their lives. This is an antagonist, to friends, to so much more story. Both characters are likeable and their want to help each other us endearing.
5* Dani is busy running her food business from home after her father illness made him close the business down. Kyle has taken on a job with a demanding client and a fierce neighbour. When he sees how hard Dani works he understands her more than she thinks. Baby steps and shear determination he knows what he wants. Great characters and storyline.
My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️.75 Trope: Enemies to Lovers Spice: 🔥🔥🔥.5
Synopsis: Dani is trying her best to keep her ghost kitchen open despite her neighbor from hell, who is currently having a pool installed. The installation crew’s trucks are crating traffic problems for Dani’s customers. Kyle, the boy construction boss, is caught in the crosshairs of Dani’s disdain and his contract to Kathy, the neighbor.
Thoughts: Dani is spicy right from page 1. It was a little over the top, but you later understand why, Kathy is the worst possible neighbor. I enjoyed the push and pull between Dani and Kyle. It was a unique storyline and the spice was good!
The female lead was just a shitty person and was hard to read through how mean she was to the male lead and blaming him for things outside of his control. Very hypocritical, mean, and judgmental when it came to someone she barely knew. DNF
This book took me for a ride and then some. I’ve read the previous books in this series and I think Kyle’s story might be my fav one. Outwardly Kyle has got some familiar Bad Boy qualities such as being the hot black sheep of his family who rides a motorcycle, has piercings and refuses to have anything to do with the money he was born into. What his family doesn’t know is that Kyle isn’t that Bad Boy anymore and hasn’t been for some time. However, Family can be hard and they can often hurt you in ways others cannot. So Kyle lives with them believing he’s never changed and he holds in the hurt that has burdened him down. He doesn’t let people get too close and no one is the wiser until his path crosses with Dani. Dani comes from a complicated family situation as well and although she butts heads with Kyle in the beginning they both seem to recognize how much they actually have in common.
I love how Dani and Kyle make each other better. Kyle understands Dani doesn’t need him, but he shows her that it’s ok to accept help or even just share a burden. Dani helps Kyle learn that he is worthy of love and acceptance as is. Both of these two have big family issues that they face with the support of one another that was sometimes very hard to read, but however heartbreaking some of it was, the ending made it all worthwhile. I absolutely fell in love with Kyle and hope we get to see more of him if only as a cameo in the next book. For all you chili pepper lovers this story has some great spicy scenes and yes you get a wonderful HEA too. 10/10 recommend!
I loved this book! It had great tension between the 2 characters, though it took me a while to love the FMC. It was a grumly vs. sunshine type trope, but where the FMC was the grumpy one, and the MMC was the sunshine. I read this as a stand-alone, but I'm definitely seeing myself reading the other ones in the series as I really liked the other characters. The book had a surprising amount of spice once the main characters got to it. I loved that the author didn't use crazy words to describe body parts and functions because that is my biggest complaint with spicy books. (I read one recently where the author called her v@gina a "secret garden") 🙃 like if you want me to DNF a book, that's how you do it. So I appreciate the authors word Choices alot! I also liked the story that he is a contractor and she is a cook. I enjoy subtle enemies to lovers in where they argue and have tension and tease each other, but I'm not a fan of the bully trope. This is one where the MMC was a Cinnamon roll ex bad boy and he falls first and hard!
It’s been a minute since I read a Lauren Landish book (read 24 of her books so far) and after starting this one, I asked myself why on earth I waited so long!!! Oh yeah- life happens, that’s why!
The two main characters and banter in this story was like no other!!! Dani is a super hardworking, strong willed business owner that takes no shit from anyone she comes in contact with!!! Kyle, who’s the owner of successful pool installation company is doing a job next door for Dani’s horrible neighbor Kathy. When the two MC’s run into each other in a dispute- this creates an earth shattering storm!
The emotion throughout this fantastic tale had me crying, laughing, and everything in between. There was family turmoil that was a big part too, that brought another level of depth as well.
Lauren, you hit the ball out of the park with this one and I couldn’t be happier to have the honor of reading this gem!
We are once again with the Harrington family. We get to see all our past characters from the previous 3 books. This one we finally get the behind the background hiding Kyle. We get to see his feelings and thoughts and why he has been the way he is. We also get to meet Dani, now this woman I really liked. She is a person who many can get and understand, while also being a take charge and take no crap kind of a woman. These two together had me cracking up, feeling for and just loving in general. There was a section that made me tear up, so just a fair warning lol. I think for me this was the best one in the set so far.....
Let me just say, SWOOOOOON. Kyle is such a great character. The character growth between him and Dani is superb. I love it. It shows how much the right person can help you grow. But honestly? The ending does it for me. I hope they enjoy the house as much as the pool!! Sucks to suck Kathy LMAO
There's something charming about all the Harrington boys - so this was another fun and quick read. Can't wait for the last 2 in the series to come out!
Dani is explosive and doesn't want or need Kyle or any other man to take care of her and she doesn't want to take of any manchild. Kyle is not needy and is tough and falls for Dani in spite of her being prickly. Interesting background stories and well worth the time to read.
Lauren did it again!! The Never Say Never series is great!
I love how tough Dani is in this book. She thinks she needs no one but her heart does and that’s Kyle. Perfect couple and family healing and laughs and tears it has it all. Highly recommend!
These two both have family issues but they love them all the same. When he started the pool install next door to Dani, it didn't go well. But he worked his way into her life and heart and they supported each other through the difficult times. They were a fun story to read and i was so proud of them both.
I enjoyed this story about Kyle, the guy looking for happiness while struggling with his past, and Dani, the strong willed woman who thinks she has to do everything on her own. How they met and how Kyle broke down Dani’s walls to find happiness was a special story. How Kyle deals with his past made this story extra emotional. You will enjoy this one.
When arguing turns to love… and how do you hold space for someone who’s gone through emotional trauma? This one is a rollercoaster of a ride with fun, spicy, and “no, what??” moments.
Only 2 more Harringtons to go. I'm weirdly glad Kyle was last, it seems every sibling has needed a partner to give them that oomph in the family group. Kyle was no different and I loved his story, Dani had her own issues and they were literally 2 peas in a pod, fiercely independent, walls thick, and fiery, and so passionate in what they belived In and when they finally got it together. Dual POV, HEA, family repairing, both sides. Spice. And ofcourse all out Fav side characters and ofcourse our Pee-bee as delightful as always.
This one is so hot that it’s a classic example of “if you can’t stand the heat then stay out of the kitchen.” The chemistry was so off the charts that it’s insane.
I read this book in one sitting. If you haven’t read this one yet, then what the heck are you waiting for? Trust me you are missing out.
Ah the Harrington are quite a family of personalities. But bad boy Kyle is his own unique one. Mia his bad boy attitude with one HOT headed woman and 🔥 sparks. Well written and I’m so anxious for Cameron and Kayla’s stories.
This is book four in the series. It could technically be read as a stand alone, but the male lead is in the previous three books as a side character. His siblings are the main characters of each book, and the two to come after this. I devoured this book just like the previous three. Lauren knows how to draw you in. Kyle is the baby of the family, and proudly the black sheep. He doesn’t realize he’s met his match in Dani when he shows up to a work site next door to her place. The roller coaster of emotions Lauren weaves you through with Kyle and Dani will keep you turning the pages.
