Nanny for the Silver Fox Cowboy

Rate this book
I never expected to fall in love with my boss…

James is a single dad and local town hero.
He is tall, grumpy, and fearless, with a muscular body that every woman in town craves.
On paper he has it all … except a woman to help raise his twelve-year-old daughter.
That is where I come in.

I was looking for a nanny job, not to fall in love.
The way he looks at me and protects his daughter melted my heart. I couldn’t help falling for him.
One night there was a sudden power blackout. We got closer than ever before and ended up under his sheets.

Feeling his warm protective body gives me hope that the love I want exists.
I’m on dangerous territory.
I know this is what my heart wants and I'm risking everything.

Can he open his heart for me once the sparks start to fly between us?
Can I trust him to be my protector and hero?

loved this story! Lydia applies for a nanny position and when she meets James, she cannot believe her eyes. An instant attraction builds inside her. James is frustrated that the girl he is to interview for the nanny position is late...until he sees her standing in the doorway. His thoughts immediately go to how beautiful she is and he is also instantly attracted. Ellie, meeting Lydia gets on with her immediately, so James decides, against his better judgement to hire her, but decides to keep things professional. The slow burn love and feelings develop with the story and eventually explode. Hot passion ignites and both Lydia and James cannot keep their feelings to themselves. A lot of twists and bumps in the road cause Lydia a lot of distress and James thinks he has lost his 2nd chance at love. A hurricane, a nasty rumor, an accident and an interfering neighbor try to break these two apart. Does love prevail? and James and Lydia get their HEA. A great read with lots of action to keep you turning the pages.

James hires Lydia to come and be a nanny for his daughter. He has to be away a lot and so he wants someone there to look after her. James is grouchy with Lydia so she just keeps her head down and does her job. The more time that they all spend together, she starts to see that he is just very protective and wants the best for his daughter. Soon James and Lydia are cuddling in the dark during a storm and fighting being attracted to each other. Can Lydia open James' frozen heart and teach him that love doesn't have to hurt?

I enjoyed this book, it's a story about enemies becoming lovers. The characters can't get along or see each other, but as they get along with James' daughter they click, you later hope that she goes from nanny to something more. Will James take the second chance at love or has the past scarred him too much that he no longer dares to take the step?

James and Lydia's Story . . .

James Miller has a 12-year-old daughter and needs to hire a nanny to be there for her. Eventually, with the close proximity, James and Lydia Marrone start to notice feelings for each other. Having the lights go out as a tornado warning is issued can also be a convenient excuse for cuddling. Who knows what it may lead to in the dark? Has James given up on love? Or would he be willing to give a second chance to find that love again with Lydia?

James is in need of a nanny for his tween daughter after catching her with a boy in his home. Lydia needs a job after her husband leaves her for another woman. When her friend suggest she interview for a difficult client she does it and gets the job and manages to capture her employer's heart as well. This delightful story kept me glued to the pages to see how their story ends.

Big City Nanny

Lydia and James weren't expecting to find love but when they come together the chemistry between them is electric. There is the right amount of steam when Lydia and James had their private moments but with the addition of his daughter this story was full of charm. One part of this small-town romance to be aware of is a nosy community that feels too involved in people's lives.

Worst editing job of anything I've read yet

It's a good thing this book was as short as it is. It seemed like it was written by a non - English speaking person. Because of this, it was also hard to figure out what was meant to be the actual story. Very confusing.
The story itself was basically good and the characters were interesting. I actually liked it except for the poor editing.

I wanted a shorter story & thought this would be a good pick…I was mistaken. There were many grammatical mistakes throughout the book. I also felt it just wasn’t plotted well & the characters didn’t connect well. The spicy scenes were so cringey. I almost DNF’d but I hate to DNF books, so I pushed through.

Giddy up because this HOT and STEAMY book is going to have you wanting more. Lydia is a newly divorced woman who takes on a nanny job with a widowed cowboy/firefighter dad. They have fallen for each other, but then something happens, and they have a huge fight. That’s when things get really heart pounding. I won’t give anything else away, but it’s a book worth reading.

story was good but…

I liked the story…but too often in the book the editing was bad. When a line should read “I felt a hand on my shoulder” it would read “he felt a hand on his shoulder”. It was hard to follow at times based on the editing.

cute read.

This book was a cute read. I had a problem with the lack of proofreading. It pulled me out of the story line when I had to stop and start reading over a line. The characters were fun.

Too many typos

Started out good, but couldn't get past 20% of the book. Too many typos, which is a big turn off for me. How can a book be published without proof reading? If it was proof read, I hope the author didn't have to pay for it.

This brings back memories.

I loved this book. It reminded me of my own love story. The only difference is he had three children and I was a twenty three year old chemistry teacher. We had thirty one years together before he died.it's

Good break relaxing fast-paced not too much story the drama flown out really fast but loved the argument between Lydia and James could have been better if Fanny tortured more and seen more of Ellie's reaction about knowing their relation and marriage proposal

Not going to rate this but I do not recommend the “virtual narration”

Nothing like the FMC saying yes yes yes as if she was talking to her mother in law.
