If you were given the opportunity to spend 12 hours with the love of your life who’s no longer on this earthly plain would you take it? Poor Kaili. My heart just broke for her. After only two years of marriage, her husband suddenly passes away and Kaili has been asking why for the last eight months. When the strange proprietor of a quaint little magic shop offers Kaili the chance to see Rene one more time to finally get the answers to those questions she’s been asking, will she take it? If Only For One Night was a sweet but, sad read. You already know, going in, there can be no HEA but you still can’t help but to root for one.
Kaili lost the love of her life and she struggled with letting him go. The unexpected loss of her husband of two years, left her distraught. After already overcoming so much adversity in life, she thought the pain was behind her, until she lost her husband. She is given one night to see him again and it was such a bittersweet interaction. His encouragement for her to move on and accept love again was just 😩😩
Supernatural isn't my thing, but I would be open to reading more stories like this.
For this to be the first time in this genre for this author, this was a great job. Paranormal is an interactive read for me, most of the time. The short story held my attention. Great Job OooBoo.
For this to be her first chance at paranormal?! It gives such a natural spiritual vibe-I loved it. I loved how just in a short amount of pages she was able to build a story a feeling and so much power in these pages. It felt like we’ve been reading about this characters for ages. Perfect black romance for spooky season!
Okay Ms. Falls...first, I am a huge fan. But this right here. The witty banter, the hot sex and real characters, yes, please!!!
Attempting a girls weekend in hopes of running from her grief, Kaili and her sista friends find themselves in magical Kismet Cove. Some wine and a mysterious little shop puts Kaili on the path to see her true love, one last time. But is that possible? Will she take the steps to heal in the magical waters of the cove?
This foray into the paranormal love story Ms. Nicole Falls had me experiencing every emotion I have. I was sad, happy, excited and full blown slanging snot...tissue required and all! Kaili and Rene's love story was just that powerful! I cannot give details because it would consists of spoilers. All I can say is Nicole Falls you've mastered a new genre and like CCJ you are a beast at it. I could never be done Done with you...but baebae you did it for me and in faux speak....I'm done 😏 until the next book. 😎😊 A must read.
This book turned out to be surprisingly relatable for me. At first I was thinking that Kaili shouldn’t set herself up to be hurt again. Then I considered my own love that I lost and I understood her decision. I’d absolutely take that chance if I was ever given the opportunity. I wasn’t sure that I was in the mood for a paranormal story, but Falls crafted it so well. This was an emotionally challenging experience, but it made for an enjoyable read.
OMG, I was not expecting this at all! Nicole Falls had me crying my eyes out with this one. I read the author’s note and thought I understood and was ready, but if this is what we get from her just dipping her toe into the supernatural… I need more expeditiously! Kalli broke my heart! The pain she felt poured off the pages of this story. Her grief was palpable and tugged at my heartstrings constantly. While this book was a quick read, it still showed us how true love can transcend into the afterlife. Kalli and René’s love story was beautiful and highly impactful. I now want to see what else we can experience in Kismet Cove and what else Ms. Selene can conjure up!
I came across this book and thought it would be interesting to read for spooky season. It was short and bittersweet. I’m happy that Kaili was able to get some closure from René before he made his final transition to the other side. Their love was short lived but beautiful. His vows were so heartfelt, I’m not going to lie I cried a little bit. If you’re looking to read a short paranormal book about love I recommend this one.
I’m a fan of this authors work but for this to be the 1st time attempting the genre 🤩. I read this at work big mistake. This had me in my feelings as I was crying my heart out at work. This book was an all one, there’s unconditional love of a partner and friends to sexy and everything in between 4.5🌟
I like that it was about a great love that had pass on, A love so great that the wife couldn't let go. Not that that the husband couldn't cross over, because he saw his wife in so ,much grief.
I am so happy that Kaili was able to get her closure. Sometimes that is the reason people keep holding on to the deceased because they feel as though they need that one last visit --CLOSURE. This was a really good short story. As usual, Nicole Falls did her thang!
I didn’t see that coming. I can’t say I’m mad at it either. This is a new genre for this author. But bay-be, I’m here for more. She’s fierce with that pen. I just need a longer read 😏
2.5 stars This needed to be fleshed out a little more, even for a short. I haven’t read that many paranormals but something just felt missing. If she gave this type of story another try, I’d give it a read bc I typically really enjoy her books.
