About the author

From the runways of Paris, London, and Milan to supernatural realms beyond the veil, Rebecca's life has been anything but ordinary. During her formative years, she used her vivid imagination to pen stories in her "Dear Diary" about Becky Barbie, a fashion designer who embarked on fantastical escapades with supernatural beings.

Years later, a transformative mystical experience in Paris catalyzed her evolution from fashionista to spiritual guide.

Today, Rebecca is not only a gifted spiritual teacher but also the visionary force behind The Golden Quest. This mystery school offers classes and workshops that explore the esoteric teachings of both Eastern and Western traditions. Positioned at the crossroads where fantasy and metaphysics meet, Rebecca serves as a guiding light for those seeking a deeper understanding of life's mysteries.

Drawing inspiration from Egyptology, ancient aliens, and luminaries like Edgar Cayce, Alice Bailey, and Manly P. Hall, Rebecca crafts enthralling fiction.

Her debut novel, "Phoenix Rising: Initiation," is the cornerstone of her sci-fi fantasy trilogy, "The Trybrid Chronicles". Prepare yourself for a transformative journey that blends fiction, fantasy, and the Ageless Wisdom teachings of East and West, as Rebecca leads you through realms of excitement and spiritual illumination.

Rebecca, a modern mystic, lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with her magical feline Gabriel who also appears in her Phoenix Rising tales. When she's not writing or officiating weddings, she's enjoying sushi and spirited discussions with her spiritual family.

Immerse yourself in Rebecca's narrative universe, an exhilarating cosmos where curiosity and enlightenment converge, beckoning you to delve into both the daring and the divine.

Excellent book by my friend, teacher, & mentor Rebecca Nagy! The mystical, magical world of Ancient Wisdom and metaphysics weaves through the book and provides the reader with formerly hidden information in a story that is exciting and romantic. What is written is Truth veiled in a good readable story. As the trilogy unfolds, much will be gleaned for novices as well as for those of us who have been on the spiritual path for a long time. A well done novel that leaves me excited for the next book.

Thank you to Kate Rock Book Tours and the author for the complimentary audiobook. These opinions are my own.

This is the first book in a new YA fantasy trilogy about the Trybrid Chronicles. It brings together so many of my favorite aspects of fantasy and science fiction with magic, the fae, celestial beings, past lives, fated mates, and intergalactic space travel. The world building is incredibly well done.

Ayesha, the High Priestess of Sirius, made a mistake that stripped her of her immortality. She is stuck on earth, living multiple lives until she restores her karma. And now she has been reborn as Cassandra, an eighteen year old girl with magical abilities and a huge destiny ahead of her.

I was impressed with the pacing. The author, Rebecca Nagy, did a nice job introducing characters and their connections at a pace I could keep up with. I also liked how the past lives and age gaps were handled for a YA audience.

Of greatest interest for me was the modern relevance. The book explored the Internet and disinformation as power, and it does so within a believably magical context appropriate to the book. I am quite intrigued to see what happens next in the story.

I was so thrilled to listen to the audiobook, narrated by Abigail Reno. She performed an impressive array of voices with great accents. And I am comfortable knowing the pronunciation, having listened to her.

I did not know what to expect with this book going in. I loved the narrator of this book. Rebecca has a writing style that makes you feel that you are there with the characters. I love the fantasy world that was woven. I did not have trouble getting through it. I liked how the metaphysical and time travel wove together. I love how the journey in the book is full of fantasy, love, and spirituality. If you like a Sci fi fantasy, then this is for you.

A younger me would have probably really liked this book, but 35 year old me isn't as sure. It reminds me of The Mortal Instruments series (which I also liked when I first read it over 15 years ago but probably wouldn't love as much today). There's a lot, I mean A LOT, going on in this story. So many different characters, it was difficult to keep it all straight in the beginning. Then add in regeneration, past lives, soul mates, guardian angels, faeries, technological war. Like I said, it's a lot.

My biggest problem, the one that made me go "oh nooo", was the multiple mentions of Cassandra getting "summer ready" and avoiding carbs. No. No thank you. We don't need any one thinking they need to avoid eating a brownie to look hot in a swim suit.

Phoenix Rising: Initiation is a captivating tale that seamlessly blends elements of fantasy, science fiction, and spirituality. The author's unique voice and style shine through on every page, drawing the listener in with its richly detailed world-building and engaging characters.
One of the standout aspects of this book is its ability to balance action, adventure, and introspection. The protagonist's journey is both thrilling and emotionally resonant, making it easy to become invested in their story. The narrator's performance is top-notch, bringing the characters to life with precision and emotion.
As someone who enjoys exploring the mysteries of the universe, I was particularly fascinated by the metaphysical concepts woven throughout the story. The author's handling of these themes is thoughtful and respectful, adding depth and complexity to the narrative.
If you're looking for a thought-provoking and entertaining listen that will keep you on the edge of your seat, Phoenix Rising: Initiation is an excellent choice.

I just loved this first offering from new author, Rebecca Nagy. The first book of a trilogy, this journey of a very likable protagonist and her cadre of advanced beings does not disappoint. Ms. Nagy's writing style is effortless and compelling and I found it hard to put the book down although, I found myself stretching out the reading of it to make it last since the 2nd book in the trilogy is not out yet! Ms. Nagy takes you on a wonderful journey and she has the ability to make the reader feel like they are sharing each experience every character experiences. As a fellow metaphysician, I can promise you, the spiritual components of this book are quite accurate, too. This would be the perfect book to take on vacay so you can relax immerse yourself in the magic!

A unique time traveling YA fantasy adventure that seamlessly blends past lives, galactic forces, and eternal love into a gripping narrative. Narrated by @AbigailRenoNarrator , who does a wonderful job portraying the MC and the many characters in the book. It was a very engaging listen. I don’t want to give out any spoilers but I enjoyed Cassandra and Manu's relationship.
This is a perfect listen for those who enjoy an immersive world building, compelling plot, soul mates, the chosen one, galactic forces, and mythical creatures.

A very special thanks to Kate Rock Book Tours for the gifted copy.

A wonderfully creative first novel by Rebecca A Nagy. This one's a little bit Science Fiction adventure, a little bit sorcery and mythical beings, a little bit Y.A, coming out and an action packed romance that doesn't stop from the first page to the last - and that's only book one of the planned trilogy.
This one's well worth reading if you're looking for a new author to fill those long winter nights.

I read this book as an audio and other than truly not enjoying the platform (Spotify) the audio and story itself was a good read. The narrator was also awesome.
This is the first book in the trilogy which combines scifi and fantasy in a well meshed story. This book is an action packed ya novel and with multiple timelines and and characters. There is quite a lot to the story so pay attention and enjoy.

What to expect from this book
✨ Magic
✨ Reincarnation
✨ Battle scenes
✨ Astrological and metaphysical references
✨ fairies, elves, vampires, celestials, humans too

Phoenix rising is the first in The Trybrid Chronicles and is a YA fantasy filled with magic and destiny. I was picked to be a part of the audiobook tour and enjoyed listening to this magical story. Cassie is a Tribryd reincarnated with a destiny far beyond what she could ever imagine. For all of the shifts Cassie goes through she does it with such grace and strength. I found myself rooting for her on more than one occasion. The book refers to a lot of metaphysical practices like birth charts, crystals and meditation. I personally dig astrology and metaphysical spirituality practices so this book was so much fun for me to read. There were so many characters and moving parts to the story that it never felt like it slowed down. Without giving spoilers, I can’t wait to see how this series continues after that ending.

Wow! So much happened in this book! At times I will admit the number of characters were a bit difficult to follow , however I am left wanting to know more about them. Past lives are twining with the present, and secrets that have long been kept secret will return to influence the present. Cassandra Oberon will be instrumental in the changes to come. However first she must learn who she truly is. The past and present will continue to collide as she earns her place as the seventh Aquarian Avatar.

While I really enjoyed this YA fantasy, I feel that I will not be able to write an accurate review until I finish the entire series. It is off to a great start, and I am totally invested. I’m just not sure I have any idea which way it will turn next. There are so many possibilities…

Fantastic story… I loved the total immersion I felt as a native of Charlotte NC. The imagery is almost palatable. The interwoven threads of the metaphysical and time travel through different incarnations of the single

Fantastic story… I loved the total immersion I felt as a native of Charlotte NC. The imagery is beautifully written and I could “see” all of the things. Super excited to read the next book.
