A man fought in war, confused in life, strong and hardheaded women.
Good story line, romance to heavy and at wrong time. He fought in the Civil War bravely and had the wrong ideas about life afterwards. It took him 3 years after war to work out his feelings about the carrying of a gun in the late 1860’s. This only after his late friend’s daughter is kidnapped because of her own foolishness and being hardhead not strong willed. This is an interesting read that each person will come to their own conclusions about the story. The story could have gone several different ways. Read and enjoy.

Good Story
Good story about life,loss,redemption, love, family and community. Life is hard especially when you lose a key loved one. Then when evil shows up because of a misperception of vengeance, it takes good people to stand together with loved ones and the community to end the chaos.

Nothing stays the same
Jacob and friend Elias help to built Peaceful a town in Colorado and it was until Elias is killed. It is really hard on the whole town until they handle the murder and a kidnapping. Life changes for the better after all is settled. Great characters

Love and revenge do not go hand in hand
Awesome book. I loved the story line and the emotional rollercoaster ride. People can change if given the right tools and revenge gets you no where.
