Mia and Tony are back with a most disturbing case. If you find a suitcase on the beach don't open it. That's the first thing I learned while reading The Case. I love how all of the characters continue to grow and their relationships are the stuff live is made of. Whether friends, or family everyone is there to help if needed, even if it just means feeding the two of them. Mia and Tony's relationship continues to bring her comfort and he is her grounding rod. This mystery is multi-layered and both of our heroes end up hurt. With her usual skill Ms. Kent can make you feel the thrill of putting together a lead and the terror of not knowing what is happening when someone is hurt. Easy to read in one sitting, you will start and look up hours later surprised the time has passed. The holidays are forced to take a back seat as Mia and Tony solve this one.

This is by far the best book on the series so far, and one of the main reason for this statement is the ending of the book, huge surprise and cliffhanger, one that left me screaming when I read it.
A thriller that makes you glued your eyes to the book, this one is the more twisted and bizarre of all the books on the series.
I love the Mia and Tony relationship, and the direction that it is going, at least I hope that it is going that way.
I can't wait to get immersed again on the following book on the series.

Absolutely thrilling

Excellent thriller. I was tense and could not stop reading from the page one. The author mastered the plot of horrifying crimes and emotions. I love Tony and Mia s characters. This almost perfect crime ends with a huge I say huge surprise.
This is so far the best book and I cannot wait for the next one. I'm glad I stumbled on Cara by accident. I became her fan and follower, bravo!!!!

I am so loving this series, and you are getting more hints of things to come with some of the items mentioned and the ending, well that just opened everything up.

This was a definite afternoon read for me as I just had to keep going and it worked so well.

The author gave me an advance copy but the review is entirely my own.

Mia and Tony have had a 'break' from the strange cases they have been getting lately. Even the M.E. is getting rather bored with the 'normal' type deaths she is dealing with. But all that changes when a suitcase is found on the beach with body parts in it. That is just the beginning of this strange case. To me, the biggest shock came later in the story. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

5th book in this intriguing series by Cara Kent was hard to put down. Suitcases with body parts are showing up on beaches in Oahu and Cara and her partner are struggling to find out who did it and why. Their search leads them to surprising facts and the story ends in a shocking fashion - don’t know that I can wait for the next book to be written to take this story to the next chapter!

This was phenomenal. What a damn good book. We are so close to getting to the subplot and I just want confirmation it’s not all in my head. Book 6 cannot come fast enough. I would pay good money to read an ARC!!!!

Wow!

Incredibly written, The Case is a book you won't be able to put down! When suitcases start showing up on beaches with body parts inside, FBI Agent Mia Storm and her partner, Tony Walker, are in for a wild ride to find the person - or people - behind them.
