It’s not really a “lick back” if she’s sorry abt it, heroine shouldn’t feel unapologetic when he drove her to that point - the double standards, their ego is so fragile.

You never know

Although the story ended in a good place, it was also bittersweet for this couple. The years they'd been together made the break down even more hurtful for them. Men can cheat, but when their lady cheats, the world comes to an end. No spoilers, but this story was highly emotional.

Whew…I have thoughts. Mild spoilers ahead

From the beginning, Eero was on my trashbag list. He didn’t appreciate Nicolette and treated her like dirt despite the fact that he kept saying he loved her. People make mistakes, but 10 years of mistakes?? Yeah okay. And as soon as his mistakes drove Nicolette into making her own, he flipped on her and acted as if she hadn’t been there for him and put up with his bs. So yeah, even though it was clear they were probably going to be endgame, I was not a fan. I can honestly say I would’ve been more receptive to them getting back together if a) the book had been longer or b) the premise had been split across two books so that we could really see the characters mature and develop with time.

At the same time, Nicolette had her own issues. Yes I wanted her to get her lick back an no I didn’t feel sorry for Eero when she did, but the way she was just willing to beg and plead for him to forgive her just didn’t sit right with me. I was glad she figured out how to stand on her own because the codependency these two had for each other was all types of unhealthy.

Now her baby daddy? He can choke. I feel like he got off too easy after the way he acted.

Despite my dislike for Eero, I was so happy to see him get help in rehab. Having him go work on himself, start therapy, and continue therapy to deal with his childhood trauma was beautiful and honestly a bit of a saving grace for this story for me.

Now here comes the other end of that: Nicolette never got the therapy she needed. It was mentioned time and time again that she wasn’t over her father leaving them for a whole new family. She clearly had abandonment issues, which contributed to her not only being codependent on Eero, but was also clearly the reason she allowed Eero to cheat on her and disrespect her for a decade. Why make that such a defining part of her character if we weren’t going to put in the effort to have it addressed and resolved. It felt like all the emphasis was out on Eero healing and becoming whole, it but it was halfway done with Nicolette. She would’ve really benefited from even going to a joint session with Eero. Her end of the story just felt unfinished.

That’s especially true because at the end there’s a whole conversation about the half sister that wants to meet her and she’s rude and nasty to her, with no real resolution in sight. The story literally ends right after that interaction and people telling her that she needs to try and stop holding her feelings about her father against this girl who didn’t ask to be here and never did anything to her. Her response is literally “I just wanna be in a bubble with you Eero” and he’s like okay cool…
It just felt like an abrupt and unfinished ending.

I will say I was glad that before the epilogue, Nicolette and Eero agree to take things slow with their relationship and get to know each other again. There was still some healing to be done (especially on Nicolette’s end). Obviously by the epilogue taking things slow is still only true in name only, but I appreciate the attempt lol.

4.5 ✨ There's something about the saying, "If you can dish it, you can take it" that perfectly describes Three's A Crowd.

Eero is a boxer on his way to making it to the main event stage. He's a known ticking time bomb with behaviors that threaten his career and relationship. Nicolette has stayed by Eero's side throughout all the turmoil he put her through, but she's had enough. If you are into stories where the female character gets her lick back, you will enjoy this story. The storyline is different from this author but still very entertaining. I was chomping at the bits anxiously waiting to see how the story would come together. I felt for Nicolette because she really took so much from Eero. The one time she looks out for herself she finds herself pregnant. What I didn't expect was all the twists that came after the pregnancy happened and it seemed like Nicolette couldn't catch a break. I also found myself hurting for Eero, as well. I wanted him to get out of his way asap because his future as a boxer depended on his healing.

Final Thought: I loved that the author touched on the importance of mental health, therapy, and having a strong support system. Eero battled so many demons and it could have easily been brushed off because of his status but his team didn't give up on him. It was clear that he loved Nicolette but he had to overcome those things holding him back. I loved the ending of this story, and I was completely wrong about how things turned out. This was a good read for me.

This was good read. I was excited to read this. Eero was definitely "you can dish it but can't take it". He had some damn nerve. Nicolette was such a sweet girl & I felt she was taken advantaged of because of how nice she was. Sis deff got her lick back even tho it wasn't intentionally. Humbled tf out Eero. I like how Nicolette still loved her child regardless of how Otto did her. I liked Eero. I can tell he loved Nicolette but I disliked his ways. He blamed his ways on how he was raised & I get it but as a grown man you gotta take some of that blame. I'm glad Eero learned & I loved how he evolved. I think this situation had to happened for him to get his shit together.

emotional rollercoaster…

This was a lot. Eero was trash and Nikki should have left a long time ago. Not to mention she really thought he’d stick around once her secret was out. Men are not like women with things like that. Now I’m glad they found their way back since neither of them let go, but I wish Nikki would’ve gotten therapy as well. She was just as broken as Eero, yet he’s the one that actually did the work to get better. She was just as codependent on him as he was on her, and still dealing with daddy issues. I liked that she established boundaries with him, but I just expected more.

There’s this saying….

That anything worth having may not be easy, but Earo and Nicolette brought a lot of their baggage from childhood into their relationship. Not only that, they both were enablers to each other. Although Earo constantly cheated on Nicolette, things really heated up when he found out that she got pregnant by a one night stand with her ex. Men can dish it out, but definitely can’t take it. Now the ex was a complete donkey, he didn’t want anything to do with Nicolette and her child after he got back with his family ex. Earo went to rehab, cleaned himself up, pursued Nicolette, accepted her child and stepped up to the plate.

Excellent read!

Nicolette and Ero had been together for years but he failed to realize if he kept doing what he was doing he would lose her! One night of drunken fun results in an unexpected pregnancy, but her past was never going to be her future because Otto was just that, her past. He was so wrong for how he let his ex make him treat Nicolette, but a series of events made Ero realize they were meant to be! I really enjoyed this read! I hope to get another story on them as I would love to know what happened after and if she and Dylan developed a relationship! Great read Tay Mo'Nae!

Break up to make up

Eero had a bad childhood that he brought into his adulthood. He didn't realize he needed to fight them demons on his own. Nicolette was let down by her father so she put all the love she had for him in Eero hoping to fix him but that wasn't the case. They needed that time apart to grow into a beautiful relationship. Asia needs to respect her sister wishes and let her meet their other sister on her own terms.

Oh my goodness this book was so good Eero had so much going on even with Nic trying to help and support him what he went through it was a lot for him and it took her getting pregnant by someone else to make him realize that he needed help.. Otto was a whimp I was glad he showed his true colors letting a woman keep you from your child, but that was alright Eero is doing a great job loved this book

Emotional

I had a lot of emotions run through me while reading this. It was a great story. Anyone dealing with alcoholism should be commended for seeing it through. I still have difficulty defending Nikki. She is wrong for her actions toward her sister(s). I love how the sport was incorporated into the book as well.
Awesome story.

Happy Reading‼️

Nicolette and Eero

This story had me in emotional roll coaster from the beginning. I can’t believe Otto changed his tune on wanting to be a part of the baby’s life but his loss. I glad Eero step up and show out when it counted. My favorite book by this author so far!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
