Born and raised in the agricultural midwest, I moved every year after school even as far as Shanghai before settling down with my wife in Chicago.

I have always enjoyed Wuxia stories and became thrilled when I discovered harem stories spreading to western books. I've written down my day dreams for years as an idle hobby. Inspired by the harem genre I'm finally fleshing them out into full blown novels.

I'm excited to share my stories with you as I turn them into novels and series.

Good finale

It wasn't as strong of a finish as it could have been but wasn't disappointing in the least. I completely enjoyed it and look forward to whatever Sentar makes next.

Personally I'm looking forward to dungeon diving 104

Alright, buckle up, fluffballs, because we're going full-throttle into the flaming chaos that is *Dragon’s Justice 9*, by none other than Bruce "Harem Master" Sentar. You know how this goes – we’re talkin' urban fantasy at its finest, where the world is just as wild as the cast of characters tearing through it. Released in October 2023, this book is the final ride in Sentar’s *Dragon’s Justice* series, and it goes out in a blaze of fire, harem antics, and plenty of WTF moments. But is this last chapter worth sinking your fangs into? Let’s find out as we shred through every inch of this chaotic beast.

Plot Summary:
Yo, you thought Zach was done flexing on the world? Nah, not even close. The dude’s a dragon king juggling the supernatural and the mundane like it’s no big deal. This time, the FBI needs him for some ops down in Brazil – but of course, it’s not a simple mission. We got geists wreaking havoc up in Philly, military involvement, and a big ol' showdown with Aphrodite (yeah, the goddess of love herself). Her "grand plan" is less about hugs and kisses and more about wrecking Earth to save Heaven. No pressure, right? Zach’s gotta convince the dragons of El Dorado that he’s not like the tyrants before him while untangling this absolute mess. The stakes? Higher than a werewolf on a full moon.

The Author:
Bruce Sentar is the alpha of harem-fueled urban fantasy, no questions asked. Born in the Midwest and now running things from Chicago, he’s cranked out over 40 books in this space, and his fans keep howling for more. Sentar’s got that Wuxia influence from his time abroad, but he slaps a Western harem twist on it like a seasoned pro. If you’re into wish fulfillment with dragons, demons, and romantic chaos, this is your guy. *Dragon’s Justice 9* rounds out one of his biggest series, and while it’s got some missteps (we’ll get to that), this book solidifies his rep as one of the kings of the genre.

Characters:
Alright, let's get into the real meat: Zach. He’s not just a dragon king – he’s basically the apex predator at this point. His power levels are off the charts, but the cool part? He’s still grappling with leadership and loyalty. Sure, he can rip demons apart like it’s a sport, but balancing relationships (especially with his harem) and saving the world isn’t as easy as it looks. His relationships with the crew are complicated – Sabrina, Fiona, Nyske, and the rest aren’t just arm candy. They’re fleshed-out characters with their own arcs and struggles. Sentar actually does a solid job of giving the women in the harem agency, especially with how they each play into Zach’s decisions. But let’s be real – some characters don’t get the spotlight they deserve, especially with all the new faces thrown into the mix.

Structure:
If you’re looking for a clean, linear narrative, you’re in the wrong neighborhood. This book is all over the place – and that’s both a good and a bad thing. On one paw, the breakneck pacing keeps you hooked; on the other, it can feel like whiplash. We’re jumping from Philly to Brazil to El Dorado faster than you can say "geists," and sometimes it feels like Sentar’s cramming too much into too few pages. The ending? Fast forward city. We get time skips that try to wrap things up, but it’s rushed. Like, blink, and you’ll miss major moments that should’ve been fleshed out. That said, if you’re along for the chaos, it’s a wild ride that doesn’t really give you a chance to breathe.

Themes & Analysis:
This book dives deep into themes of power and legacy. Zach’s no longer just fighting for survival or dominance; he’s building something bigger – a family, a kingdom, maybe even an empire. But the real twist is how Sentar weaves in love as a double-edged sword. Aphrodite’s plan? It’s all about "saving" Heaven at Earth’s expense, a twisted take on sacrifice and love that clashes with Zach’s own brand of loyalty and protection. Sentar digs into how far someone like Zach is willing to go for his own, even if it means facing down gods. It’s heady stuff for a book that also features dragon-powered smash-and-burn moments, but the contrast between intimacy and apocalypse works surprisingly well.

Scenes:
Now for the juicy bits. If you’ve been following this series, you know Sentar delivers on the harem-front with steamy, emotional moments that don’t shy away from the explicit. This book’s no different, though the harem scenes are a bit more toned down in favor of wrapping up the larger plotlines. Don’t worry though – when they hit, they hit hard. Relationships are built through more than just physical encounters, and you can feel the bonds forming between Zach and his partners. The sensual moments balance the action-heavy chaos, giving you a breather before diving back into the next firefight or divine showdown.

World-Building:
Sentar’s world-building is *chef’s kiss*. The mix of modern-day settings with supernatural chaos is what keeps this series fresh. We’re not just dealing with one plane of existence here; it’s multi-dimensional madness. El Dorado? It’s a golden city with ancient dragons, old grudges, and a culture steeped in history. Hell, Heaven, and everything in between gets fleshed out as a backdrop for Zach’s rise, but Sentar doesn’t let the world-building overwhelm the character-driven moments. It’s detailed, but it’s never the star of the show – it’s the stage that lets Zach and his harem shine.

Praise & Critique:
Let’s get real. *Dragon’s Justice 9* does a lot right. It’s fast, fun, and full of explosive moments that’ll leave you howling for more. The character arcs, especially Zach’s, feel like they’ve come full circle, and the stakes are as high as ever. That said, there are some cracks in the scales. The pacing in the final chapters feels rushed – we’re talking time skips, missed opportunities for deeper character moments, and unresolved subplots (like, what the heck happened with the vampires, Bruce?). It’s not enough to derail the book, but it might leave you with some lingering questions.

Comparison:
If you’ve been digging the *Dragon’s Justice* series so far, you’ll find this finale familiar in tone and style, though maybe a little more chaotic than you’d like. Compared to Sentar’s other works, like *Dungeon Diving* or *Saving Supervillains*, this one feels more ambitious but also more scattershot. Fans of K.D. Robertson’s *Heretic Spellblade* or Daniel Schinhofen’s *Divine Agreements* will feel at home here, though the sheer scope of *Dragon’s Justice 9* might make it stand out as a more sprawling epic.

Personal Evaluation:
As an old wolf who’s seen a lot of fantasy, this one had me wagging my tail in excitement and biting at the pages in frustration at the same time. It’s got heart, it’s got heat, and it’s got chaos, but sometimes that chaos spirals out of control. I loved the character moments, especially the growth we see in Zach as a leader, but the rushed ending and unresolved subplots kept it from hitting that perfect note. It’s an emotional ride though, and if you’ve been invested in this series, it’ll tug at your icy heartstrings.

Conclusion:
*Dragon’s Justice 9* is a wild, fiery finale to a series that’s been as unpredictable as it’s been entertaining. It’s not perfect – the pacing stumbles and some plotlines get left in the dust – but for fans of Sentar’s signature mix of harem madness, explosive action, and deep emotional beats, this one’s gonna hit hard. It wraps up the saga in a way that’s satisfying, if not flawless. If you’ve been with Zach from the start, you’ll find a lot to love here, but if you’re new to the series, you might wanna start at the beginning to appreciate the full ride. Final rating? Four icy paws out of five – and that last missing paw? Yeah, that’s for the rushed ending and those pesky unresolved subplots. Still, it’s been a heck of a ride.

⭐ Rating: 4.5/5

The abomination that never should have happened.

TLDR: This is more of an abomination than a book. Not a way to end a series.

Disclaimer: Patreon supporter (but that may change)

Spoilers below:

This book makes it clear that the author is not willing to expand the number of books in a series or take the time to end things properly. Vampire issues that were a major thing in two different books were ‘resolved’ in a paragraph that is nothing more than an offhand mention. It feels as if any open plots from prior to the story were ignored or waved away, and a few new plots were added and not wrapped up at all. I loved how the first books actually dove deep and resolved issues, ie the new princess added to the harem in this book should have had more scenes of a connection being built and there should have been more around integration into the golden cities. This book either should have had a dozen additional chapters about the vampire issue resolution in the beginning, or there should have been book 9 being vampires and the start of the conflict in the golden cities, with a book 10 to end the conflict and wrap everyone up. That way there would not be character breaking shenanigans that have been pulled in this book. One more failure to end a great series with something other than an abomination like this, and I’m pulling support. I cannot support people who create great worlds/series just to have them fall apart due to hitting a nonexistent ‘it’s getting to long’ mark.

It's an okay ending

This entry into the series was okay in my opinion. I did like the two final chapters the most. It does appear that he wraps up everything that he needs to by the end of the book. The author has in the past proven that he can do a good start to a series which in my opinion is deserving of a round of applause as I've seen even tried and true authors be a little shaky at the beginning of a story. The author appears to follow a template similar to what I saw in the Eureka TV show where part of the way through things change dramatically and you're now dealing with a story headed in a completely different direction. Doesn't mean then it's a bad story. It just means that you should be on the lookout for that surprise and it may change how you feel about the series. It's not exactly something that I like but at that point I've sunk in so much time that I'm willing to hang around to see how the whole thing ends. As for the ending of the series this author appears to favor a soft close so that if at a later date he decides to revisit the series he can. It doesn't mean that you don't get an ending, but it does mean that the endings are a little flat or lackluster or perhaps not the definitive conclusion that a reader or listener may have been hoping for.

Damn, this was a long ride but a glorious one. Sentar, I’ve read quite a number of your books and I gotta say I’ve always loved them. I’m so very happy that you gave us decent closure with the Pendragon clan. BUT I truly hope you give us more with zach and his family. I don’t want it to end! Especially since all the kids are there! I’m glad we got a flash forward to see some growth but at the same time I am greedy and want more. This was an excellent series. Those whom haven’t read it start it! On a last note I must say one thing… I’m extremely disappointed that we didn’t learn of justice and joy joining the plushies… also what in the HELLL happened to hell? To Lilith? To HEAVEN? Sentar, you were very lazy with this… truly if I didn’t enjoy the series as a whole I would have given this book 3 stars because you dropped the ball on this. You truly could have done BETTER. Those things alone could have given you plenty of things to write about… especially with the vampires and the blood lord that was angling for a plushie. Bad move IMO

Conclusion to the series.the audiobook spent the last 15 minutes in timeskips. It would've been better for the timeskips to say how long past instead of leaving you guessing based on the story, as well as a more numerical value for the number of kids. An interesting continuation/ spinoff would've been the integration of Zach's family into normal human society.

There was about 1 paragraph on that. But that could've had so many funny parts. Probably would've become the best part of the book. Thinking back to the earlier books, some of the funniest moments were when Zach was being investigated by the FBI, and they had no idea what was going on. Books 4 and 5

Welp... if anyone asks, my whole month of June was basically this series. This was surprisingly addictive and I'm glad that the ending was far from bland. The series may be a guilty pleasure of being a main character of getting all the good women and being the most powerful main character of all time, but I can't deny it was good and had me coming back. I loved the whole sillyness of this journey, and also very please to see some of the villainesses becoming more than just an evil for the main character to conquer. I love every single member of the Golden Plushie Society, but Ikta is top tier!

A little disappointed in the epilogue to be honest. There was a lot going on so it's a little understandable, but a point was made about Nyske's egg taking considerably longer than normal to hatch, yet we never meet the child or learn about what they are. Furthermore, there was a chance to introduce Nyske as the first and only nymph-dragon. That seems pretty important.

There was just so much that wasn't touched on at all. Morgana as a bloodlord, Helena's child being an angel (will they become an angel of hate too?), does Zach being connected to Faerie, Hell, and Heaven affect his children at all?

Based on Zach's child to Pixie, Alicia, being eighteen by the end, there was a lot of opportunity just skipped over. If I could rate the epilogue separately, it would only be 2 stars.

I have enjoyed the Dragon Justice series but am also glad that I have finished. Zach has continued to escalate in power and abilities and seems to be almost too powerful to feel any interest in following. His ability to easily smash any situation or competition has taken a little of the fun out of the books. Although I have enjoyed his journey, I am ready to set it aside for other areas. It has been a good read, one that I have thoroughly enjoyed but am also ready to leave this world and follow others.

Definitely a great finale

Read the whole story the last week till today and have to admit, it was one of the most fun roller coaster fantasy rides I've enjoyed in a long while. The spicy scenes were funny but the unique creatures and how they worked with their unique paranormal abilities really made me wish it had more. The ending definitely brought a smile to my face. Almost wish there was a sequel with the titans making moves and the new generation making dad proud but that's a thought for another day.

Good time to end this, and not the worst close-out to a series I've seen. Not the best either, but it at least had less of the annoying cutesy characters (or at least they were more in the background) that have plagued the author's recent work.

I don't know how the dragon genetic pool is going to look after a couple of generations of Zach's progeny making up (at least) half of it, but the series ends before we are presented with that problem.

Damn, this was a top tier series

Got to say I'm really sad to see it end. I can only hope we might get some more books with short stories of the kids and maybe Zack fighting the titans. Also what happened to the vamps that shot down that black dragon. All I can say is it was an absolute pleasure to read this. Thank you Bruce for your wonderful mind and story telling, I'm looking forward to all the books going forward <3.

Wonderful series - sorry to see it end

I have immensely enjoyed this series. The characters are full of life and extremely entertaining. Watching the characters grow together and in power has been very fulfilling. This series has firmly established Mr. Sentar as one of my favorite writers. Truly sorry to see the series end, but maybe a future series with some of the kids would be possible.

This series is wonderful.

I am an avid reader, mainly for my own pleasure. This series is a good example of urban fantasy. I'm serious in saying that any GM of a TTRPG should go through the series. The world building and fleshing out of fantasy races is, to me, amazingly well done.

With this series completed the wrap up is well done and surprisingly heartfelt. Perhaps it was just my investment in the characters.

A hearty thank you to the author.

This seems to be the end of the series.

I'm happy that it has ended, because the author was adding too many women to keep track of. This went far from what I expected would have happened after book one.

There is another of the author's series that I'm looking to try next.

I wonder if that will tie into his "extended universe" I see he has going with Dao Immortal and a few others.

Sentar always gives us a good send-off for the last books in his series. He seems to realize the huge mistake that other writers like Eric Vall and Dante King make by just continuing to put out cookie-cutter copies, one after another after another, only actually drip feeding the main plot towards the end and only enough to get a few readers back for the next.

I love his endings, going through the whole family, and feeling like we have seen that whole main adventure and can say goodbye.

Absolutely loved dragons Justice 9. Well, loved the entire series really. But that’s to be expected from Bruce Sentar. Honestly I’ve never read a book of his that I didn’t like. sorry to finish with the world but had a super blast and looking forward to the next adventure in a different time and place.

it’s hard to express how much I’ve enjoyed this series

Bruce Sentar doesn’t miss, with any of his books. It’s hard to put down a series I’ve enjoyed so much throughout the last couple years, but it was a great ending beautifully written. Can’t wait to see what else you come up with next!

Book 9

I just finished book 9 I loved the whole series. The women in the harlem really carried their weight. All we're harass in their own way. I like reading these kinds of books. The hero became more powerful but didn't get too arrogant & cocky. Sad it has come to an end, but glad it had a good ending.

A tamer adventure but a nice wrap up

If you got to book 9 well, you obviously have to finish the series and it isn’t as crazy as some of the others but there wasn’t anything that was disappointing. All the realms are dandy, Zach becomes a biggggg dragon and we see how big his family gets. Happy to see everything wrap up and nothing hidden that we could be curious about.

What an entertaining series!

I totally enjoyed reading this series from book 1 through book 9. I just couldn't put them down and since I'm disabled, I read them back to back. Mr. Sentar built a great world, filled with characters full of life. If you love great fantasy then you will not be disappointed!

Fantastic end to an amazing series

A late review on a book I loved reading, and with all series finale a tad bittersweet to see such an amazing series end.

But definitely worth the read with a few surprise twists and plenty of action in and out of the sheets to make a worthy ending to Dragons Justice

Too many threads

The issue with having so many characters is that there's too many threads to keep track of and at the end a several aren't mentioned so we can only assume things are worked out for them. It was an issue I had with Saving Supervillains, another series by this author though I admit this one rounded out better at the end.

Same story beats a the last few.

This was to wrap up the series and it shows. It follows the same narrative path as the last two books. While all the characters get an ever after, there is no real conclusion for the series.

Good Read

Dragon King strikes again. Lots of intrigue, action and love. Making new friends and defeating an enemy army are all in a busy week’s work. A 10 year jump at the end shows him as a happy father with a larger family.

Beautiful!

What a story, great way to wrap up some of the side stories and provide an extremely satisfying end to the series. My only gripe is that Rebecca was marked but never really mentioned in the epilogue chapters. But loved it and can't wait to read more stories.

Wow what a ride, 9 books later and still as good, that ties things up nicely, if you enjoyed the first 8 books don’t even think about it and get reading. Hopefully we will see more of Zack and his family

Wonderful series. The first eight books were great with awesome characters and stories. Book 9 seemed rushed to end the series (?) but was a nice happy ending. Highly recommended and con not wait for the next series.
