KC Crown never disappoints me when I read her books. This one is not any different. This is a sweet love story. Yes it has drama, hot sex and life issue. A cardiovascular surgeon, reknown playboy, Dr. Antonio (Tony) Montiavios meet his match in nurse Jude Langdon. Her comment to him that said the most about their journey “ Who would have thought? What started with me trudging through the snow cursing you under my breath, ended up here. “ I hope you enjoy the journey as much as I did! This is a must read!.

DNF at 62% I just couldn't get into the rhythm of this book. It felt like it started off as a novella with a fast pace, then it dragged on. There was so much potential for this to be a great book. It had the close proximity, one bed, reverse age gap, but it just missed the mark for me. It also had no Christmas in it, other than the FMC was deciding whether to go visit her parents for the holidays. This may be a good book for others, it just wasn't for me. There are too many other Christmas books on my list that I want to get to!
Older Woman is full-length standalone novel with no cheating or cliffhanger and complete with a happily-ever-after. A brilliantly written story with extraordinary characters and a fascinating storyline that captures your attention from the first chapter and keeps you hooked and turning the pages. An older woman younger man story, opposite attracts story, reverse age gap trope, forbidden relationship, workplace romance, employee-boss romance, hate-to-love, enemies-to-lovers romance, small town holiday romance, medical romance, filled with secrets, tension, emotions, anger, angst, resentment, forced proximity, surprise pregnancy, steam, lies, rumors, deception, passion, lust, revelations, redemption, misconception, suspense, drama, mystery, grumpy sunshine, and love. This is Jude and Antonio story. Dr. Antonio Montivais a.k.a. Tony is viewed around the hospital as a cold-hearted grumpy sunshine with nasty attitude and chip on his shoulder. He didn't know how to communicate with the staff without being rude and demanding. Nurse Jude Langdon is an older woman who had been working at the hospital for a while. She wants a promotion from her current station but may not get it because of her age. Dr. Tony is at his cabin in the mountain and needs a couple of files bring to him. He called the hospital to have someone bring him the file. Nurse Jude had never met the good doctor before but had heard a lot of rumors about him within the walls of the hospital. Although it was Jude's fortieth birthday she was asked to take him the files up into the mountain. She trekked her way through a snow blizzard and freezing temperature to deliver the vital documents to elusive Dr. Grump's remote. Because of how bad the weather was and the condition of the road it took her longer than it was supposed to. When she finally made it to the cabin, she found a smoldering man who was nearly a decade younger than she was with the petulance of an old grouch. The snow dumped so many inches of snow on the mountain that she was snowed in with Dr. Grumpy, the gorgeous man child with only one bed to share between them in his little one bedroom cabin out in middle of nowhere. They got to know each other and she saw a different side of him than what she have heard in the rumor mill at the hospital and wonders if they're more to him than what his colleagues perceive or were he truly that cold-hearted bastard that they talked about. He seems more approachable in his own environment than that of the hospital. They got to know each other in the biblical sense as desire sparks while they were trapped in the cabin together for the three days. They started to see each other in secret when they go back to the hospital. Jude wanted it to be that way because if she was successful in getting her promotion she didn't want it to come out that it was because she was sleeping with the boss that's why she was promoted. Jude got pregnant from their encounter together. It was a little bit of drama with them trying to balance relationship and working together and keeping it from the rest of the staff, it proved to be entertaining plus it was the holiday. A sweet story that you can stink your teeth into a feel good.

Tropes: Forced Proximity, Holiday Romance, Grumpy, Medical Romance, Reverse Age Gap, Older Woman, Small Town, Surprise Baby
TW: Parental Sickness, Pregnancy, Cheating Ex
Main Characters: Jude & Antonio
I love a Grumpy Male MC with a surprise baby element! And this book delivered on both along with so much more. I enjoyed getting to know Jude and how she was able to really find her voice. I love seeing growth with a character so that they aren't being taken advantage of. Every person should have the strength to stand up for themselves when someone tries to get over on them.
I have to say that I didn't love Antonio as a character. He wasnt just grumpy, but he had a chip on his shoulder. He treated people around him like crap, and couldn't take the time to realize the tone he sets when he acts that way. He continues to do this throughout the book, and I find it frustrating. Dealing with that in real life is one thing but if I'm having to see it in my books then I'm not going to enjoy them like should be able to. He made no effort to make any changes in his behavior even when Jude told him how he acted.
Jude was too forgiving about the way that he acted throughout the book even though she had found her voice with her ex. Just not with Tony. And I can't help but find that odd. He is your significant other, but you can't address how he has been.
I loved how the families were able to come together for these two even when it unconventional to how some go about a relationship. I just wish that they could have been honest with their parents about their relationship so that they could understand they weren't alone. They had someone else to consider in things. But I also go back to the part where they weren't upfront about their relationship, especially after when there was a decision to be made at the hospital. I don't think that would go over as well as the book made it seem.
I received a complimentary copy via the author and Booksprout. All opinions are my own, honest and voluntary.
Going With The Flow - The last thing Jude expected when she was tasked to deliver files to her grumpy superior, Tony at his cabin in the mountains, was to find herself stuck with him because of the horrible weather. However , spending time together in close proximity, gave them the opportunity to get to know each other better, which led to some wild and memorable intimate moments.
They both couldn’t forget their time together after they returned to the real world, but they were apprehensive about doing anything about it. Even though fate brought them back together again, Tony’s insecurities caused issues for them and it took a potentially dangerous incident for Tony to realise he really wanted to be with Jude. Unfortunately, just as they found their way back to each other, Tony’s life was thrown into chaos and Jude was left discombobulated, as she had just received life changing news.
Once Tony resolved the issues plaguing his life, he was ecstatic when he found out the secret Jude had been keeping, which gave him the courage to finally acknowledge his true feeling for her. This gave them the opportunity to work together, so they could have the wonderful and fulfilling life they didn’t know they wanted. KC Crowne has outdone herself again with this story about a heroine who is strong, but vulnerable, who manages to tame the heart of a grump playboy. Just like the other books from this talented author, this story will draw you in from the beginning and keep you turning the pages.

Fantastic love story This is a different take, younger man/slightly older woman, and I like it. Dr. Antonio Montivais (Tony) is from Spain so besides being gorgeous he has a sexy accent that could melt ice. Tony is an exceptional Cardiothoracic Surgeon in Denver. He is very serious and focused on his job and it comes off as being grumpy but he just wants to save lives not socialize…But…Tony is a young guy…and the Nurses find him very attractive…so he’s been around the block with many of them. RN Jude Langdon works around Dr. Montivais and can see he’s hot but he treats her like an idiot which ticks her off. Jude is a great nurse with years of experience and she wants the soon-to-be open position of OR manager. Tony is one of the decision makers so when he needs files brought to his mountain hide-a-way she volunteers. It’s only an hour's drive. Except when a snowstorm hits and now she’s stuck with Tony in his small cabin. Accompanying Jude is Sadie, her service companion. Jude is diabetic and Sadie lets her know when she needs to check her condition. Snowed in for now Tony has a sexy beautiful house guest. Animosity soon turns to heat between the sheets. Tony and Jude were made for each other. This up-and-down romance has some misunderstandings but ends happily. I liked the characters and story very much. I received a free advanced copy of this story from Booksprout and these are my thoughts. Linda
Wonderful story. Jude & Tony's love story was sweet, steamy, heartwarming that you couldn't help but smile whilst reading. Being snowed in with Dr Grumpy because of the freezing temperatures & no chance of Jude getting home the steamy goings on inside the cabin Jude had Tony's heart melting. Everything was perfect in their bubble but whilst Jude was going for promotion at the hospital they couldn't have a public romantic relationship at work but they were still happy but when Jude's ex Andrew turned up trying to get into Jude's house Tony made it clear he was not welcome & it worked. Following an amazing evening together suddenly Tony turned cold & left leaving an upset Jude wondering what had changed so suddenly. Just when it looked like everything was going good between them Tony became distant then all communication broke down between them leaving Jude with something special & important to tell him but it felt like she'd lost him the longer they were apart. I was desperately hoping that Tony would come back & they could be a happy ever after together but it didn't seem like that was going to happen. Although she was down about being without Tony when her ex Andrew turned up again this time she was strong & ready to fight back giving them what for & I just wanted her give Ashley a slap. This was an wonderful book that once you start reading you won't want to put it down.

Another fantastic Doctors of Denver release with this being Tony and Jude's story. Tony requested Jude bring medical records from the hospital to his mountain cabin for him to work on for the weekend, but before she was able to leave Denver a terrific snow storm started. The higher she got in the mountains the worse it got by the time she got to Tony's cabin it was pretty bad, but she was determined to return to Denver. When she went back out to start back only minutes after arrival her car was stuck. She was going to have to stay until the snow stopped, and they were able to plow the roads. This was a mess, she could hardly stand Tony. Forced proximity between the two of them seemed to make them soften toward each other. They began to see good things in the other which in some ways was a switch for them. Before long they were not wanting their time at the cabin to come to an end. What would happen when they returned to Denver and the hospital? Would it be back to work as normal or would their new relationship continue?.

What more could you ask for but a nice blizzard in Denver mountains before Christmas? Tony and Jude fell in lust first. As most books, it took awhile for them to figure out that the lust had over time, turned into something more. And again, with most books, there are trials and tribulations in relationships to be ironed out. Tony had a past, which showed what a horn dog he was. He liked his variety whereas, Jude had been cheated on and wasn't ever going to jump back in the dating pool. Working in the same hospital saw Jude having to deliver papers that Dr. Tony seemed to need immediately, even though he was up in a cabin on the side of a mountain. The snow was just starting as Jude left the city with her trusted medically needed yellow lab, Sadie. The dog was trained to monitor the sugar level for Jude if her diabetic numbers started going up or down. Sob Jude and Tony danced around and she was already pregnant. To tell or not to tell Tony? Jude thought he was ghosting her at a critical juncture in their relationship. But all in all, they got together and had a marvelous HEA.
Gah!! Medical professionals and anyone who has diabetes: ignore the part where FMC says her glucose is low and then pulls out an insulin pen. Or ignore this book. I had to put it down and silently scream at the author to do a little research. Okay reading again. But no! This is awful! Injecting insulin into one’s own arm is far harder than injecting into their stomach as it’s a two handed job. Ugh. I can’t. I wanted to. I liked the premise. But, FFS. Books are an opportunity to educate people on topics they may have no reason to learn about and when an author mis-educates readers… grr. For anyone who doesn’t know, low blood sugar can kill a person. Glucose is the sugar our cells use to function. Here’s the short story: usually when blood sugar is low (because it’s been a while since eating), the liver releases glucose into the body. Insulin pushes glucose into cells where it can be used. In diabetes, the pancreas (which lives right below the liver) does not produce enough insulin, which is why people may need to take insulin. This is a simplified explanation, but it wasn’t hard and it took almost no time. Author, do better! As of now, I DNF <20 pages in.
This was a great book and I loved how it took a blizzard to make these two realise that they should be together. Jude is a nurse and a OR manager who is tasked with the job of taking vital documents to the surgeon thats up at his cabin and to make it worse it’s in the middle of a blizzard but I make it and when I go inside there is only a one bedroom cabin because she is now snowed in with him and the dirty thoughts running around in her head and being stuck together has them seeing each other in a different light. Tony starts seeing Jude differently now they are stuck in his cabin together and the more they talk the more they relax into each others company and now they share a hot and steamy night together and neither of them wants it to end and so they start dating and juggling working as well but together isn’t as easy as they would like there a few issues to over come it all works out in the end.

Want to revisit the Doctors of Denver series? Jude a nurse who’s applying for a prestigious OR management positions is summoned to deliver important papers to the grumpy Dr. Tony who is currently staying in his mountain cabin near Denver, Guess what, there’s a snow storm and they get snowed in for some days … back in ‘real life’ at the hospital they try to be ‘professional’ but their chemistry is just off the charts and so happens what needs to happen … but read for yourself! The storyline is entertaining though a bit foreseeable, it’s a great read when you feel like cuddling up with a book at this time of the year and getting into a wintry, christmassy mood. I just couldn’t place Jude’s ex and his fiancée’s role in it, I wouldn’t miss them as they appear a bit out of the blue and in my opinion don’t advance the main storyline between Jude and Tony at all.

I enjoyed this romance. I like Jude's spunk and how she manages to stand up for herself when the situation calls for it. She is determined to advance her career and be open to love again. I won't call the 8 years older than Tony a big age gap, but it does put a twist on their budding romance. I don't think Tony is grumpy. He's more arrogant, blunt and self-centered. I love the banter between Jude and Tony. They have an easy rapport with snappy comebacks that endures you to them as a couple.
Just as you would expect there are few bumps on their road to something serious. It is frustrating, surprising and entertaining to witness Jude and Tony balance a work relationship and dating at the same time. Add in the Christmas holidays and you will feel all the warmth, charm and love between these meant to be together characters.

Jude has her whole life planned out until she ends up stranded by a snowstorm in the mountains. Her nightmarish adventure starts with Jude having to deliver some very important medical files to one of the surgeons. It happens to be terrible weather for getting up the mountain. Jude has to impose on the good doctor to stay until the storm passes. Tony has a bad reputation so Jude keeps things light and gets to know who Tony is outside the hospital. What happens when the two reach the next stage? Jude is independent, career minded, strong and unwilling to allow Tony to deliver a one night stand. Jude won’t allow it! Tony is all about not getting involved. He can handle one night stands because he doesn’t have to get involved. These two characters will keep you guessing! It’s an enjoyable, sweet read with really great characters.

This is a reverse of the usual story you read. Jude is a nurse who is working towards a promotion but on this cold snowy night she is tasked with delivering some files to the one doctor that she doesn't like. Tony is not the nicest doctor in the hospital. And by the time she gets to his cabin in the mountain the weather has gotten even worse. So bad in fact that she is stuck. But it gives them time to realize that away from the hospital they are completely different people. So much so that by the timethe storm passes and she can get her car out to go home, they are not just friendly but very close. But they can't let anyone else know. This story has brought us back to Denver and to the doctors and nurses at Pitt Medical. Great storyline and amazing characters. Almost didn't want it to end despite staying up til after 3am to finish it.

Jude is not happy, Dr. Tony Montavais is forcing her to drive files out to his cabin over an hour away. Since she’s up for a promotion to OR Manager and he is on the hiring panel she agreed to do it when her manager asked. He is cocky, rude and treats the nurses as insignificant. This is made obvious when she reaches his cabin in what is now turning into a blizzard and he calls her Judy. Once it’s obvious she won’t be able to leave, he invites her to stay even if he doesn’t like Sadie her Lab being part of the deal. Once the two call a truce and start to relax the attraction becomes too much to ignore. Now the two have to navigate their attraction, their jobs and even her ex husband. Their hea is not easily reached with so many obstacles including her being about 8 years older but eventually life is good.

When Jude is asked to take a box of files to Dr Tony Montivais at his cabin in the mountains she didn't expect to be stranded with him because of a snowstorm. As she spends time with him she realizes that he's not the arrogant man she thought he was and sparks fly between them. With a promotion on the line for Jude they decide to keep their distance. With her attraction to Tony distracting her, her ex husband and his fiance bothering her, together with her promotion Jude already has a lot to contend with when she discovers something about Tony that devastates Jude. A beautifully written story that is heartwarming and engaging. You can't help but be captivated by the romance between Jude and Tony. Definitely worth more than five stars.

I loved this story from the beginning. Tony may have started out grumpy, but he became such a lovable guy throughout the book. And what can I say about Jude? I love her so much. She's written with a spiciness that makes her so real. I love the touches with her dog Sadie and her diabetes. It felt like a real story about 2 people who were really made for each other.
Tony is a brilliant surgeon. Jude is an amazing nurse who can't wait to be the OR Manager. When they meet in his cabin during a terrible winter snowstorm, you can see the sparks between them right away.
There were times when you wanted to cry for the two of them. Tony's unexpected trip to Spain was a wonderful conflict for the two of them to deal with. And they did. Like normal people would.
I love this May-December romance, and so will you!.
This was a heartwarming and engaging romance for nurse Jude and surgeon Tony. She has a ton of ambition and is opening herself up to love again after her divorce, and she figures delivering files to Tony's cabin retreat on her 40th b'day will help her earn brownie points for the job she wants. He, figuring she's way younger than she looks, never looked at her seriously for the position or as a person... Imagine his surprise at her age, ambition and wit, not to mention her beauty ;) Of course, he's rather self-centred and isn't sure he wants to act on the chemistry and steam that rises between them. Jude was rather surprised at Tony being more than arrogant and well, they have a hard journey ahead to resolve all these issues, and more. I really enjoyed how the author developed his character and had them behave normally when dealing with challenges. Well done!
Tony is a surgeon and Jude is an RN who works closely with him. She is dropping off a few files for him at his cabin in the mountains and gets stuck there during a snowstorm. Luckily she has her companion dog with her - who reacts to blood sugar drops. With nowhere to go, they start talking and opening up, bringing deep feelings to the surface. The characters are well detailed, have great personalities, back stories and banter. A little different scenario as she is older than he is. The storyline was believable as the alone time in the cabin battles with the surgery wing of the hospital. Can their feelings go any further? Can they handle working together or will she have to move to a different department or town? Terrific ending will bowl you over with heartfelt feelings.

Tony is a doctor who has requested that Jude bring files up to his mountain cabin as a snowstorm begins. She gets stuck there and must spend the weekend with him. They find themselves attracted to each other and act upon it. When they return to work, they pretend that they are not involved since Jude is up for a promotion. Can they continue acting as though nothing happened that weekend or will their secrets come out?
I liked this story. Tony is a jerk at times. Jude is uptight but I can see why she does not want to be seen as being involved with him during the promotion process. When he seems to ghost her, I appreciated her thought process although she did not know what was happening. By the end, I loved how Tony had changed his ways and Jude lightened up.
I look forward to reading more of this author's books.
Jude is upset when she is tasked with having to take a box of files up the mountain in a snowstorm just because the gorgeous surgeon Tony needs them! Only she ends up snowed in with him for the weekend and finds herself falling for him, but he has a reputation at the hospital of being a player! Tony sees nurse Jude at his doorstep and wonders why he hadn’t realized before how beautiful she is! Only a relationship between them would be frowned upon at the hospital and he’s not sure if he’s ready for a serious relationship! Can they find their happily ever after? Great book that I would highly recommend!.

Jude is a nurse and has been asked to drop some urgent files off to the playboy Dr. Antonio Montivais at his cabin in the woods. She's travelling up with her support dog Sadie and as they near the cabin a snow storm, starts. Due to the storm getting worse despite them not getting off to a great start Jude has to stay with Antonio due to the bad storm making her unable to leave. Despite not getting off to a great start, they start a blossoming romance. While all this is happening, her ex-husband decides to start harassing her along with his fiancée. I received an arc for my voluntary honest review for NNBB. If you love a sweet age romance with some twists and turns to add to the story, you will love this book.
The Doctor Who Stole Christmas by author K.C. Crowne. It’s a spicy- humorous - romantic tale that will warm your insides. Ok so imagine having to do this deed, an important one- only it’s for someone who’s a class “A” jerk (way out in the boondocks:)). Anywho, the characters come to realize that there’s this spark and oh does it flame. Even with the flame sparking, witty comebacks are tossed around- he’s an absolute arrogant alpha male but he does have a warm heart. She’s a spitfire - love that she gives back the same energy- she’s has an inner softie side too. This makes for a great Christmas romance. (Oh and age is just a number.) Enjoy!!.

This Age-gap, forced proximity Romance, book 17 in The Doctors of Denver Book Series has a well-written story with unique and believable Characters. The interesting story has them snowed-in together with only one bed. It is a steamy, emotional and intriguing story The well-crafted characters have a wonderful chemistry between them and are realistic. Their romance is a real roller-coaster with a lot of ups, downs and personal growth. Loved it. A must read. A fully standalone romance. ((Side note: Insulin lowers blood sugar, but Glucose will raise blood sugar. Insulin is used when someone's blood sugar is too high.)).

I must admit, I was a bit hesitant about diving into this book at first—so much so that I almost put it down for good! However, around the 20% mark, something magical happened. The story finally grabbed my attention, and I found myself completely immersed in the dynamic between the characters. The forced proximity situation combined with an intriguing reverse age gap romance created a delightful tension that had me turning pages non-stop. The characters were well-developed and relatable, adding a layer of depth to the story. With just the right amount of spice, this book really hit the sweet spot for me. Plus, for those with a Kindle Unlimited subscription, it’s an easy pick! You might just find yourself as obsessed as I am!
Jude is asked to take some files up to Dr Tony. She's applied for a promotion, he thinks she's too young! It's winter and the snowfall is huge. They end up stuck in his cabin for three days, and the attracton is epic, but Tony is a bit of a player, does he want to settle down? Jude doesn't want anyone to think she got the promotion, if she gets it, because she sleeping with a doctor, so they cool things off, but miss each other. Then Tony has to rush away and Jude has a huge surprise!

This was superb. There were so many feels. Jude was awesome and a total badass. She had been through some awful things in her life due to her ex-husband. But she didn't let that deter her. Once she made her mind up she threw herself in. With going after her job, sticking up for herself and with Tony. I loved Tony too. Now he was not used to all the feels that Jude evoked in him. So, I understood his actions. And I love where KC took it. I loved seeing his growth and acceptance of the love he shared with her. The ending was phenomenal. Well, the whole story was.

This is a holiday romance starring Jude and Dr. Antonio Montivais. WOW this one will have you laughing at how these two go from one being an arrogant but head to a nurse so mad she could melt the snow to falling madly in love with each other. I have to say that bar sense freaked me out but Jude could have done well by herself for sure. I loved how protective Antonio is over Jude and the news they have to share will make you laugh, cry, and maybe sad but in the end love will be the over all factor. I loved the drama Jude finds herself in with the ex and day to day life.
