I need to go thru this book again… I was rather confused, but didn’t give it enough attention while listening at work.

This was a book club book. I found it confusing...hard to follow. I gave up very early in the book.

English is my second language, and even though I lived in the US more than 30 years now, I still needed to look up words when I was reading this book. I used to have to do that a lot but not recently, so the vocabulary is richer than most. It's beautiful, and ends in a way that I could have never guessed. I was frustrated until almost the middle of it, but kept pushing through and glad I did. Not my favorite, but it challenged and surprised me. I guess I like to be entertained and feel good, and most people expect that from a book. It's ok to feel pushed and challenged once in a while, especially if it's in reading and not in the real world.

It was a fun ride, but I was very confused the whole time with the world-building. I loved how you see them develop their feelings and I loved the ending, but if you aren't paying attention it's really easy to get thrown for a loop. I had to do the audiobook instead of actually reading it because I kept having to reread passages that I wasn't absorbing well. very poetic.

A beautiful little book, unique and compelling in it's background world-building. The prose is at points beauiftul (though at points tedious), and the plot makes enough sense to not hold it back. It sticks the landing as well as possible for a time travel book.

I liked the abstractness of this book! Very dense read but poetic and queer and intriguing.

DNF. I found it quite boring, the words are flowery but have no purpose. The plot hardly moves forward and 50% of the book is just repetitive and confusing.
