“Row, thank you so much for saving me.” “I’ll do it again a thousand times.”
Ahhhhh, the conclusion to this story was wonderful, I loved it just as much as I did the first part. It had a bit less drama/action, and I like that Kenya and Row finally had time to focus on their relationship and on building their family. That doesn't mean there weren't obstacles in the way though!! I'm so glad they got their happy ever after.
By the way, I forgot to mention this in my first review, this has Empire vibes, so if you like that show you'll love these books.
I think this book could have been apart of the first. It wasn’t necessary to have a second book for this story. It felt like all the characters were thrown in the mix to make the story longer when it didn’t need it. I expected a little more drama. The ending did feel rushed but hey it was overall a good story.
Rowan for the Win! That man definitely had BGE. He did not come to play with Kenya, after waiting all those years for her. He was definitely applying pressure heavy. Kenya was hurt and felt alone after Rowan went to jail, and went ghost on her. This book was definitely 🔥 with all the twist and turns. You think you had it figured out and it goes a whole other way. Rowan and Kenya really had to fight for their love. Tatum James you did the damn thing.👏🏾
The story deviated a little from the first part. I liked it and the final outcome. For some unknown reason, I was expecting a less dramatic timeline this session. The mean girl, deranged behavior by the Mothers, uncool. I am happy their unfriendly antics received a fitting reward in the end.
2.5⭐️🌶️ I feel like everything that happened in this book could’ve been part of the first book. Yes, a lot happened, but it was unnecessary to split it into two books in my opinion. Rowan still is top-tier.
This book started off a little strong but then it went left. The FMC still had a mindset of her 18 year self with all that back and forth with the MMC. Too much miscommunication and no active listening was PMO. It felt like some parts were all over the place and also not making much sense. I felt the MMC all of a sudden seemed more aggressive than he did in book one. Nice and sweet ending though.
Love wins for Rowan and Kenya. Kenya has been through so much. It was her time to finally get the happily ever after she deserved. Rowan was just the man she needed to love and protect her the right way. Through the ups, downs, deceit, and those wanting to tear them apart, they didn't let the enemy win. Great read
I’m going to keep this brief but love this ending for Kenya and Row. After everything both of them went through, especially Kenya for those 10 years, I’m glad things ended on a good note for them both.
Row had done the ultimate sacrifice for Kenya and I totally understood why he handled the situation the way he did. Kenya had started dating while Row dealt with the situation he was in. Row was all for giving Kenya space because of her anger once he got out of his trouble. What he wasn't going to do was let someone else have his woman. Row handled that rascal quick, fast and in a hurry. I truly laughed out loud when I read the "Whap. Whap." 😂😂😂 It didn't take long for Kenya to come to her senses and know that Row was the man for her despite some of his actions. Row stepped up to become a great father just like Kenya was a great mother and I was happy at the surprise outcome. I loved Cher and I hope we get to read about her finding love. I was glad Kenya found out just how despicable her mammy truly was. Boston's mother was no better with her deceitful ways. I loved how Kenya laid that departing line on her that ended up shutting her up. I was worried when Heather first showed back up in the picture but I was glad she learned some sense in the end. It's amazing how Boston just kept rearing his ugly head in certain situations. Another great book by this author. I can't wait to see what else we have coming from her next.
Yes! Rowan and Kenya for the happily ever after. First, I'm so glad this book had a continuation because Rowan and Kenya needed vengeance after all Boston took them through. Unfortunately, Boston's demons lived far beyond his grave. His mistress and mother were big enough headaches for everyone. Row played his "street-smart" hand and got to the bottom of the messiness. He made sure to put Johntae in his place. He also gained a little princess out of his investigation and getting everything situated. It's so refreshing to read Kenya being loved the right way. Rowan loved her and Braiden with all his heart. He demonstrated so much preserving when he was held for the death of Boston. His determination to protect his family was like no other I have read before. He managed it well while being held for murder. His actions spoke for themselves. He married the love of his life whom he pined over for years.
This is another Tatum James hit, you want to indulge in this one. Just remember people are not what they seem. If it's too good to be true then chances are it is. So grab your copy today, you will not be disappointed. Remember to read part 1 first, "Married to a Rich Gangster."
Okay, so boom! Y'all this follow-up had potential, but it didn’t quite hit the same. The energy felt off, like the story lost a little of its heartbeat somewhere between book one’s chaos and this one’s calm. I was rooting for the growth, the love, the redemption arc- but the pacing dragged, and some scenes felt like filler just to stretch it out.
The neighborhood drama and those petty mama antics? Wore me out. It started giving reality show without the confessionals. I will say though, the karma? Chef’s kiss. Everybody got what they had coming, and I wasn’t mad at that.
Kenya and Row’s connection finally had space to breathe, and that was the highlight. You could feel their effort to rebuild, even when the writing didn’t always deliver the emotional punch it promised. The ending tied things up neatly...but almost too neatly, like the author was racing the clock instead of savoring the close.
Overall, it’s a solid story that just didn’t need its own separate spotlight. The first book carried enough weight to finish the job. Still, I respect the attempt to give the characters closure- it just didn’t land with the same spark. Three stars for effort, chemistry, and a few unforgettable moments that reminded me why I started the series in the first place.
I enjoyed this follow up story and getting to see Row and Kenya get their happily ever after. They experienced some hard times during the time apart but they were able to get back on track. Row showed a man will do anything including possibly losing his freedom to protect the woman he loves. I’m glad the Kenya didn’t deny her heart from being hurt and angry by the distance and space Row put them through for her protection. Once again Kenya’s mother showed how much of a trash human she is and so did Boston’s mother. These two women were so greedy. I’m gladHeather found some act right and that Johntae finally moved around. He was trash as well and I had a feeling he was too good to be true.
Boston and Kenya's mothers were indeed true selfish gold diggers. Kenya's mom was just extra nasty because she knew she sold her child to Boston just to secure her own finances as well as sleeping with him so happy the baby was proven to be Rowan. When the charges were dropped I knew he was going to go full force to get his family while gaining a daughter as well that Kenya welcomed with open loving arms. Johntae was all for self but glad his true self came out before Kenya crossed that line with him but her heart would not allow it. In the end Boston and his demons were laid to rest along with all the other selfish gold diggers.
Kenya went through a lot dealing with Boston's death and Rowan getting locked up. Taking care of her son and getting closure from Boston's affairs was all she wanted. Johntae never meant Kenya any good, and I'm glad she found out early on. Reuniting with Rowan was the best thing that happened for her throughout all the chaos. Them finding out Braiden was Rowan's son was a close second. This was a great ending to this series. Kenya and Rowan got their happily ever after. Awesome job!
Rowan was under investigation for the murder of Boston! Kenya was in shambles as Rowan distanced himself from her! She met Johnta and they began to date. She was raising her son and moving on with her life although she was in love with Rowan! Rowan was protecting her from jail, but others players they never knew were involved were plotting on their downfall! A great read!
Boston was undeniable the most hated character but please dont make any mistakes Kenya’s mama get some hatred as well. With a mother like this who needs enemies like really. I was so in love with the fact that Ro never let up off of Kenya after everything and the time thy passed. When you know you know. I love that for him. But you will need to read to find out some other things that happened in this story. Really good!
Boston got what he deserved in every way possible. I was so glad when Rowan’s charges were dropped and cleared for the murder of Boston. Hell he was kidnapped/beat-up and it was self defense. Kenya had all the snakes on her trial trying to set her up. No loyalty no where. I knew Johntae was shady because he was too good to be true. So glad Rowan and Kenya got their happy ending and family together.

SPOILER ALERT Great read. After all the abuse, cheating, and turmoil, Kenya finally married a real boss!👌👏🙌❤. Row was definitely bae. I loved how he loved ❤ Kenya and how patient he was. There were sooooo many snakes🐍. Kenya's mom though😡. They all got what the deserved. Wonderful⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Part two I was sick of Boston.... Rowan did what he had to do to protect Kenya but she didn't realize it, I loved how he did everything in his power to make sure that the police couldn't touch her. Kenya went through a lot and stayed strong even though she was hurting inside but what blew me away was the baby not being Boston but it all worked out in the end great book
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️|🌶️🌶️🌶️This story gave more second chance/groveling tropes that I love! Rowan did not play about his lady Kenya! There was less action in this book but I did love how unexpected plots occurred throughout this story.
With Rowan free and actively perusing Kenya secrets get revealed and they learn that Boston still terrorized them from the grave. With Boston’s money grubbing mother to Heather deceitful ways Kenya and Rowan get smart and learn their happiness is the only happiness that counts.
I love how Row was always there for Kenya. He stood his ground when another man tried to step into his space, with his woman. The way he loves her is like a fairytale story. And Boston mom should’ve been slapped…..but I won’t ruin any of it. Great read as always Tatum Jones!!
I’m cool on Ken’s egg donor, Boston’s egg donor and Chloe’s egg donor too. Give me 5 Gigis and raise me a Rowan’s mom. Sheesh! I almost thought that clown faked his death until the DNA results. And honestly, I wanted Ken to have a seat in the corner after the reintroduction.
I love Rowan and Kenya! Rowan is definitely book Bae. I loved the way he loved Kenya, and even more his love for his children. I’m happy Kenya got her Happily Ever After. Also all secrets and snakes are revealed. Loved it! Great job Tatum James 👏🏾
Awwww!!! I love Row. He protected Ken at all costs. I'm so glad she got all that she deserved. Her momma was trash, and I'm so glad Johntae showed his hand. This was a good read.
Row was definitely that man. Finding your one is hard but watching someone else fumble your one I can only imagine. Row is definitely represents what everyone wants when they think about someone loving them.
