It's Winter Prelude in Lobster Bay—the calm before the holiday storm where the streets sparkle and businesses hustle with pre-holiday sales. This year, however, brings more than twinkling lights and festive displays. Jane's inn hosts four old friends who share a history with Lobster Bay. Among them, one is holding onto an unfulfilled Christmas wish. Is this the year it finally comes true? Claire's dog biscuit business, Beach Bones, hits a snag when her ex-husband's new wife launches a rival brand with the same name. Can the two women come together and work things out? What happens next changes everything. Meanwhile, Maxi needs to lock in artists for a Winter Prelude showcase, at the art gallery. Too bad she isn’t having much success. She looks far and wide for artists that fit the criteria, but the perfect fit might be closer than she thinks. Set against the picturesque backdrop of Lobster Bay—from the quaint Inn at Tides to bustling, holiday-bedecked streets—this compelling story unwraps the true gifts of the community, unexpected friendships, and the enchantment of holiday magic.
A little confused on if it was a fall or winter book cause she seemed to flip back and forth from descriptions of leaves falling to wintery and Christmas things. Either way east read cute story. I wanna eat at barnacle Billy’s!
I did enjoy this book. It’s the 7th in the Lobster Bay Series. It was just a little cheesy at times. Read like a cheesy made for Netflix book to screen Series, or a Hallmark series like Chesapeake Shores. Some storylines were unbelievable.
This book was the 7th in a series. It was an easy read with a little mysterious storyline and engaging characters. It read much like the plot of a Hallmark movie. I will likely finish the series...on to book 8
A Delightful Return to Lobster Bay Autumn Tides by Meredith Summers, the sixth installment in the Lobster Bay series, was a truly enjoyable listen! This audiobook perfectly captures the cozy, festive atmosphere of Winter Prelude in Lobster Bay, making it an ideal listen for anyone looking for a heartwarming story with just a touch of intrigue. I'm giving it a solid 4.5 stars! I especially appreciated the subtle mystery woven into the narrative. While I did manage to guess the culprit relatively early on, it didn't detract from my enjoyment. In fact, it added a fun layer of engagement as I followed along to see if my suspicions were confirmed. The storyline following Claire and Sandy was a particular highlight for me. Their journey, as Claire's dog biscuit business, Beach Bones, faces an unexpected challenge from her ex-husband's new wife, was compelling and well-developed. It was satisfying to see how their conflict unfolded and if they could find common ground. Beyond these elements, Summers once again transports you to the charming town of Lobster Bay. From Jane's inn hosting old friends with a shared history and an unfulfilled Christmas wish, to Maxi's quest for artists for the Winter Prelude showcase, each thread contributes to a rich tapestry of community and holiday spirit. The picturesque setting, from the Inn at Tides to the bustling, decorated streets, truly enhances the overall experience. This book beautifully explores themes of unexpected friendships and the enchantment of holiday magic, reminding us of the true gifts within a close-knit community. If you've been following the Lobster Bay series, Autumn Tides is a must-listen that won't disappoint. If you're new to the series, this book offers a wonderful glimpse into a charming world you'll surely want to explore further!
Autumn Tides is the 7th book in the Lobster Bay series by Meredith Summers. This is a Women's Fiction book with quite a bit going on. You have the Winter Prelude (a Pre-holiday sales extravaganza) the town puts on. An overwhelmed animal rescue when a storm leaves several pets stranded and alone in nearby New York. A rival business between Clair and her ex's new wife that both want to use the same name for their brand of pet treats. Along with a couple of other possible drama actions just to keep things interesting.
This was a fun addition to the Lobster Bay series.
This is the seventh in the Lobster Bay series. I found it to be an uplifting story in women’s fiction. The book is about friendships and resolution of conflict. I like how the primary characters support one another in their everyday lives. It wonderful to be able to have someone to turn to when the time comes. And it even more enjoyable that a man isn’t coming to the rescue. I like how the men in the series support and uplift the women.
This is a quick read and a standalone book.
I was given an advanced readers copy and am not required to leave a positive review.
In Lobster Bay Book 7, it is Fall and the ladies are preparing for their yearly festival. Andie has bought more things from an estate sale and in among the things is a small wrapped gift. She, Bunny and Sam try to find out ,who the gift was meant. Olga’s children are still pushing her to go into assisted living. Claire tangles with Sandee again over the dog bone business. Maxi is having a horrible time trying to have the gallery ready. Just normal life in Lobster Bay.
I love the sweet union of these friends that are always there for one another. I live in Pennsylvania but was born and raised in New England so I love the setting. Thankful that there wasn’t any crude language or off color issues to avoid. Just a pleasant easygoing read to relax with and enjoy. I recommend this book and the six previous ones in the Lobster Bay series.
I enjoy this series about friendship. It’s easy to read and there are usually several situations that are addressed in each book. This book follows that same pattern. It has a mystery, a misunderstanding and a work problem that all get solved by the end of the book. It’s interesting so see what is happening with each of these ladies. Looking forward to the next one.
What another amazing book. Once you start this book you won't be able to put it down. A mystery package from long ago sparks the attention of lobster bays two mystery solving duo and that's just for starters to peek your curiosity. A must read that's sure to please. Enjoy

I have enjoyed the Lobster Bay series, and I would recommend.it yo anyone who like to read about family and friends.
Really enjoyed this entry into the series. Love that middle aged and older women remain vibrant, and are in genuinely nice relationships, while others need more help in memory care and assisted living. Indeed it's true that "Everything works out in the end", especially ik Lobster Bay. looking forward to the next in series.
I've literally read each book, back to back, because I couldn't get enough of this series! What I wouldn't give for a circle of friends like that! This has been a really fun read & I'm looking forward to Book 8!!
I can honestly say Book 7 is probably my favorite, of this nine book series. The mystery of the unwrapped gift brought tears to my eyes, as well as the development of several new friendships, one definitely not expected!
The characters in this book are great to get to know. I loved the connections between friends. You get the feeling that they are becoming your friends!
This book felt like coming home! It is full of friends that we’ve gotten to know in this series. I can’t wait for book 8, so we can see what Bunny, Sally and the others will get themselves into.
This next installment does not disappoint. Already looking forward to the next book! As usual; enough new characters were added to leave one wondering, but not overwhelm.
The lobster bay series is a lovely feel good series. The Characters are kindhearted and inspirational. Great series to enjoy sitting by the pool or on the beach.
Another great Lobster Bay book. The characters draw you into their stories. This one just might bring a tear to your eyes. It did for me. So grab a tissue just in case.
