Brian Here's the deal. Ever since I assumed control of a multi-billion dollar company to cover for my little sister's honeymoon and when one of my closest friends decided to ditch work to pursue the love of his life, I've been left in charge. Believe me, the last thing shareholders want is a guy at the helm who may have had a run-in with the law for indecent exposure. Meanwhile, I've landed a spot on the top 10 eligible bachelor list. And despite my talent for juggling women as if I were the main act at Cirque de Soleil, I’m going cold turkey. I am not a piece of meat. I mean, I am a piece of meat. A big, savory, twenty-ounce piece of meat. But I’m not only a piece of meat. And I'm absolutely not some trophy who relishes being pinched, photo-bombed, objectified, or used to feed the accounts of crazed Insta-stalkers worldwide. And whoever swiped my watch, I'm dead serious, I need it back. (It was a birthday gift from my little sister, and if she catches wind that it's missing, she’ll go absolutely ape. Trust me, no one wants that.) Anyway, I’m over it. I need a break. Well, more like I need a complete escape from the media circus. Which means I need to be left alone for some quality me-time. I need a woman I can trust. But above all else, I need someone who truly gets the importance of personal boundaries. After all. This is a business arrangement, nothing more. Lucky for me, I know the perfect girl. Sweet Juliana Spenser. Jules to her family and friends. Ms. Spenser to me. Fortunately, she's currently unattached, a proud introvert, believes social media is the devil, and happens to be the baby sister of a man I served with, and—insert heavy sigh—she hates me. As a matter of fact, she hates me a lot.
Jules In this life, there are three things I hold my family, my books, and my precious privacy. You see, years ago, someone made a fool of me. And just because that someone is richer than Midas and smoking hot doesn’t mean it’s all water under the bridge. See, he’s also arrogant, immature, tackles womanizing like an extreme sport, and is a colossal capital D. So, as far as I’m concerned, he can suck it, because even if he came crawling back on all fours, begging for my forgiveness, it’ll be a sub-zero day in hell before that happens. But now, that very someone just did something unexpected… He got down on one knee... And proposed.
Knotted is a steamy contemporary romance and can be read as a stand-alone in the Boys of Bishop Mountain series.

Brian: Here’s the deal. My baby sister’s off living her fairytale honeymoon, and one of my best friends ditched his responsibilities to chase after true love. So now, the reins of a multi-billion-dollar company are in my hands. Believe me, the last thing shareholders want is a guy at the helm who’s had a run-in with the law for indecent exposure.

Trust me, no one wants that.)
Anyway, I’m over it. I need a break. An escape from the media circus and some serious, uninterrupted me-time. To get that, I need a woman I can trust—someone who understands the sanctity of personal space. I’m talking a 90-day fiancée setup where she’s got her life, and I’ve got mine. After all, this is just a business arrangement, nothing more. Lucky for me, I know the perfect girl. Sweet Juliana Spenser.

“Knotted” is the third in the “Boys of Bishop Mountain Series” and is a steamy contemporary romance. This book can be best described as a small town military romance. This book is the story of Brian and Juliana (aka Jules) and is definitely a love/hate relationship.
Brian has always loved Jules but she hates him with a passion. He needs a temporary wife for about three months but the only person he trusts enough, hates him. An incident happened in high school that severely embarrassed Jules and she will never forgive him. She blames Brian, but will happen when she finds out who is actually responsible?
Surprisingly, she agrees. Secrets cannot be hidden forever and slowly they unfold. Will Jules realise that he is not the bad guy and that he really cares for her? Brian does not want to let her go? Will she give their marriage a chance for real? This book will have you hooked …. page to page, chapter to chapter - I could not put this book down!
I absolutely loved this story! Lexi should be very proud of this novel - cannot wait to read the next book in the series! This is a lovely book that will keep you hooked! It has fun, laughs, intrigue, twists that you do not expect, and physical attraction. I thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful love story ♥️ From page to page, chapter to chapter, you will enjoy this beautiful story - from cover to cover! This book will not disappoint! Highly recommended 😊
Knotted by lexxi James is the new book in her Boys of Bishop Mountain series and it was wonderful!!! I love how she mixes second chance, small town Romance with military romance and in Knotted a enemies to lovers vibe!( even though both had a thing for each other secretly)😉 This small-town romance beautifully captures the essence of love, forgiveness, and redemption. The story revolves around Brian Bishop a former military man and now lead of security for the Centurion group where he stays behind the scenes wearing expensive suits that cost more then most cars and living the life of a sexy handsome bachelor with a stream of endless one night stands and endless female adoration except for Juliana Spenser! She hates his guts! After a humiliating high school prank and a shaming photo stunt that made her look bad its been years since the two have crossed each others paths. But when Mark head of the Centurion group and his wife Jess want to take a six week honeymoon its Brian who steps up temporarily to be the face of the group and that's when shit starts getting interesting! All of a sudden he can't go any where without being stalked like a prime piece of steak. And leading the pack is Roxana Voss a reporter who wants a interview and more or she will start writing not such nice things about the Centurion group who could lose potentially four major accounts. But Brian has a plan.Maybe he can get Jules to marry him for a few months to get Roxana and the others to back off before Mark and the PR department freak the fuck out.Juliana would rather carve her eyes out then marry Brian Bishop! He's a self proclaimed Playboy. Asshole. Sinner. who's demons have him bedding anything that walks and she's never forgiven him for not only picking her troubled sister Angi over her but also for his cruel joke years ago! Finally she's getting a chance at becoming a reporter for a major company and getting to write columns under the mysterious pen name Sydney Sun and her first article will be about The secret life of bachelors and her target is Brian! And it soon leads to them crossing paths and his outrageous proposal of a temporary marriage and that's when the sparks fly and hidden passions flare! The chemistry between Jules and Brian is awesome and the slow burn adding to the build up between these two. And I loved both characters and their personalities. Also Harrison is back with Snook,Connor and Ollie and they truly stole the show with their sick on demand acting! Give these kids ice cream and Comics Con tickets and they'll run off any unwanted maneater!😂Please Lexxi!!!!! Give Harrison a happy ever after! Not only is he handsome, sexy, sweet and kind he's a amazing father and friend! And a shout out to Jules best friend Taylor! I love this ride or die chic! Lexxi James is a amazing writer who flawlessly mixes some good old angst with passion, love, humor and interesting characters and deep loving family and friendship relationships that leave you happy and feeling good! The boys of Bishop Mountain is by far one of her best series! Until next time luv's😉💋
Knotted The Boys of Bishop Mountain, Book 3 By: Lexxi James Narrated by: Patrick Zeller, Cindy Kay
“Knotted” is a fast-moving and intriguing story, an enemy-to-lovers romance with a second chance vibe for two who secretly had feelings for one another, but all went bad before they had a chance at a romantic relationship, it just wasn’t their time. This third book of “The Boys of Bishop Mountain” series is Brian Foster and Juliana “Jules” Spenser’s story, and it is a story that stands on its own, and as my first book written by Lexxi James, I had no problem jumping into the existing world she created. The characters are interesting, easy to relate to and connect with, they were easy to root for and even fall for, too. Brian and Jules have history, and it is not all good, but he, former military, is still friends with her brother, Caleb, and in contact, though she hasn’t been, not for years. Jules is in the city trying to get her journalist career going and she finally has an interview with known paper to start her career as a journalist reporter. Brian usually works behind the scenes, but he is covering for his partners who are taking time away, and despite his player reputation, he promised to behave himself and maintain a good public image for the sake of their company. Nothing is that simple though for him or for Jules, when they find their worlds colliding once again. He still does not understand her animosity towards him, but the feeling he had for her in his younger years never sizzled out and he doesn’t give up on her. There is never a dull moment in this book, a cleverly plotted story with drama, angst, witty dialogue, shenanigans, surprising twists, heartfelt emotions and a slow burn, but so worth the wait romance. There is a side story with Jules’ brother and sister, with Brian trying to help find her, a storyline that wraps up with a twist, too. Lexxi James, thanks for this great story and the wild ride.
🎧📚🎧 Patrick Zeller and Cindy Kay did a fantastic job bringing these characters to life, giving each a voice that was fitting was believable in every role. Both nailed it as the two leads, grasping all aspects of their character’s personality and demeanor, and delivering a perfect portrayal of each. They were just as fabulous performing the roles of the side/secondary characters too. These two made a great narration team, with voices and talent that complemented each other and a performance that takes the story to another level. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to.
Jules is a writer. She ghost writes for authors and lands a job at the herald. Her first assignment is to write a fluff piece about someone who inspires her. She chose high school hate crush Brian (Jess’s brother who was Inhired in combat and one of the mountain boys). Brian is currently working security with his pals mark and Zac at the billionaire company. Mark and Jess go on their honeymoon so Brian takes over to run the joint for six weeks while they’re gone. Jules writes the fake piece about Brian with a bunch of things from childhood and high school but then makes him out to be gods gift to women. The idiot at the herald publishes it under fake name Sydney sun and all of a sudden the women of nyc want a piece of Brian. Then they run into each other and it turns out he’s just like she described only she’s in hate with him for some pranks in high school when he was dating her sister. Then Jules is fired from the herald and they keep her pen name and publish another article that is total bullshit so now Brian is confused. In the mess of women fans, someone steals his watch that Jess got him. Jules and her friend keep using the Sydney sun social media accounts and post about the watch asking for a reward. Then Brian asks Jules to marry him to get the ladies to leave him alone. Meanwhile Jules’s criminal sister has stolen lots of money and credit cards and one of them belonged to her brother who is in the military. Jag gives the brother leave to locate his sister and the government credit card she stole or he will be donhonorably discharged. In the end, they end up locating the sister and Brian pulls a once over on everyone to get angi to like Iceland or something to turn her in to jag and get the brother off the hook. Jules gets pissed and takes a job in Korea. But Brian secretly follows her because he loves her and her dad and Brian have been in cahoots about the sister for years and it was the sister that did all the bad shit to Jules and then Brian and Jules get back together the end HEA.

⌚️ Before I can process what’s happening, he pulls me into a kiss. And it’s not just any kiss—it’s an everything kiss.
📚 Knotted (Boys of Bishop Mountain Book 3) 🖋 Authors ~ Lexxi James 🖋 Features: Military romance, romantic suspense ⭐️ Rating: 5/5
⌚️ Brian and Jules — If ever there was a couple I hope will end up together, these two kept the pages turning. Brian will do whatever he can to help Jules and her family, even at the expense of his own heart. He is the very definition of devoted, quietly loving Jules from a distance because of a promise he made to her family years ago. But a love like that can’t stay locked away forever…
⌚️ I loved reading their story! There is such honesty and truth in Brian. It pairs well with Jules’ wit and sarcasm. And, of course, everyone needs a crazy-chaotic friend like Taylor.
He’s under my skin so deep, not even an exorcism could get him out.
With Jules, it’s pure torture and bliss all at once, as if she’s peeling back every dark, twisted layer I’ve ever hidden behind. Exposing the wounded beast. The broken soldier. And a man who would bleed his soul dry just to let her in.
I’ve never felt anything like this in my life. He’s everywhere, filling me up until I’m drowning in him—mind, body and soul. It’s too much and not enough all at once.
I had no idea what to expect with this novel, as I am just now dipping my feet into the Hot Billionaire tub, but I would like to be one of these Bishop boys.
Knotted is the 3rd book in the Boys of Bishop Mountain and can be read as a complete standalone.
This third novel focuses on Brian and Jules, childhood friends to great dislike (her) to lovers, and I think this is one of my favorite versions of friends to lovers.
What do you do when the guy you have been obsessed with suddenly walks back into your life after 10 years? And not only does he stroll back in, he asks you to marry him for a minimum of 90 days. That is what happens to Jules; only little does she know that he has been obsessed with her for just as long, only what she doesn't know is that this is a ploy to get back into her life and hopefully make this fake marriage a long-lasting one.
I really loved Jules and Brian's story. The development of their characters and being able to see where they are now and how they got there were written beautifully and seamlessly. It was interesting to see how they both viewed what happened when they were younger and how that shaped their understanding of each other when they became adults. I really loved how supportive Brian was of all of Jules dreams and his willingness to do whatever it took to get her to reach them, even if it meant doing something he didn't want to.
One of the things I was not expecting was the twist.
One thing that drove me nuts was the miscommunication/secrets part, but in the sense that as the reader, you just want the characters you are routing for to just say the things, and sometimes it is fate that gets in the way and sometimes it is fear, which I completely understand, but I was literally yelling at my kids for them to just get it out already and enjoy each other.
Jules and Brian also have some really great banter, and I love that they can pull from their past and they know how to effectively push each other's button from the get go. While this book has some spice and it is well written, but the burn is slow; although the getting there is pretty-fun.
I am looking forward to reading the rest of this series, and I think Lexxi James deserves the ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.
This was a sweet well developed romance. Jules and Bryan knew each other as children. Bryan dated her sister Angi while Jules had a crush on Bryan. Bryan did some things that made Jules resent him. When they meet again ten years later, Jules is an aspiring reporter who has written an article about Bryan. Bryan has always liked Jules. He talks her into marriage but there is a secret they are both keeping that causes them both trouble. Bryan and Jules were both great characters. There were side character as well that were very interesting. Jules roommate and life long friend and Bryan's friend Harrison and his three kids. I must have missed something in a previous book about how Harrison came to be in Bryan's life. Logan, his security guy was also a great character. Probably other books for these guys later, I hope. Bryan is a vet and has a prosthetic leg. I liked how this was just a piece of his character and not dwelled upon. He likes kids, loves his sister, and is a great friend. Jules has self esteem issues. Her desire to be a writer is hard won but does build her self esteem by the end of the book. Jules and Bryan both have supportive families. Oftentimes, characters in romance books are so isolated they seem to have no one else. It was nice to see these families be supportive in a book. This is a solid well written romance well worth reading. I like steamy spice in the books I read and this would have upped my rating, but that is just my personal preference. Enjoy it.
Knotted Boys of Bishop Mountain, Book 3 By: Lexxi James Narrated by: Patrick Zeller, Cindy Kay
Jules and Brian. These two have a history that did not end on a happy note. Brian ended up dating her sister, and the feelings Jules had ended up in resentment. Now it's years later, and Jules has just gotten a job,and her first assignment is featuring her first love. And Brian has gotten himself into a position of being a most eligible billionaire bachelor and he is looking for a woman to temporarily marry. Jules is the perfect pick. Enemies to lovers, unbelievable passion, marriage of convenience,, all the good things bring this wonderful romance alive. Brian is lovable and his feelings for Jules are freely given. Jules has always loved him, but she has problems believing the marriage is anything but real. The secondary story featuring Caleb and Angi, Jules's siblings adds a bit of thrilling suspense and surprising secrets. It's a fun mix, and I loved listening to this!
Patrick Zeller and Cindy Kay are the story tellers and they are amazing together. Zeller is perfect as Brian, very humble, very affectionate, and easy to listen to. Kay is Jules, full of hesitation, very ambitious and scared of the feelings she has. Loved these two as they mold the characters and find their niches. It's a wonderful listen!
KNOTTED is a standalone romance in the Boys of Bishop Mountain series.
🍪 Enemies to lovers 🍪 Military 🍪 Hope dies last 🍪 Mystery 🍪 Steam 🍪 Misunderstanding
Another great story packed with mystery and steam that has you on your toes from the beginning. With every page you want more.
Brian...
Playboy. Asshole. Sinner. A living, breathing PR nightmare in the making. But also charming and GOOD looking 🔥. Former soldier turned billionaire. Loving brother and loyal friend.
Juliana aka Jules...
Beautiful, smart, little awkward and shy but knows what she wants in her life..... become a full time writer... and nothing is going to stop her from achieving her dream...not even Brian, her nemesis, love of her life. Even though she claims she hates him.
Brian always looked after Jules, loved her from afar. Protect her from her sister. And now he needed her to become his "fake" wife. For the media but for him it couldn't be more real. And though Jules swears his her worst enemy, she can't but wonder if it could be something more, something real.
As the mystery around her sister and Brian is untangling, Jules becomes more confident, open to the world, to Brian becoming his Peach Pop.
I read good reviews for this book and it claimed its a standalone so I took a chance. Writing is good enough but the story is ridiculous. She has been keeping to herself more or less for 10 years after an incident at 18 ish but is only 25? Loses a job yet is still paying bills no mention of how and she was strapped to begin with. Seems her parent enabled and protected her sister and left her out. Not the close knit family they keep speaking of. Sister should do time for her crimes and maybe she wouldn't have been such a mess. Supposedly mfc was in love with mmc in high school and without seeing or speaking to him for 10 years its still there even though she thinks he betrayed her. Good grief. There is a childish prank pulled as revenge by a former military now business man. I spent most of this book annoyed because it is so unrealistic. A moment where it looks like he wants another woman, kisses her in public, leaves with her( no explanation) for days. Then he is surprised mfc would be upset? mfc still wants him?Glossed over at the end. I'm trying not to actually give spoilers and I will not be reading any more.
Brian is taking a break from his everyday security gig and stepping into the shoes of his friend as CEO. This isn’t just any friend..this friend happens to be married to Brian’s sister and they are headed on their much due honeymoon. So Brian volunteered to step up. But he doesn’t exactly have a squeaky clean, drama free life. Especially after social media blows up and he’s the topic of conversation; exactly what he was warned about and told to stay clear of. First, he needs to find the person responsible and second, drastic times..drastic measures. He should get married!
Jules has always wanted to be a writer and now she is finally getting her shot. Things don’t go exactly as planned. Now she is coming face to face with Brian, a guy she has hated since high school, and why is he down on one knee?
If you haven’t checked this series out, you need to. This is the 3rd book and although interconnected with characters, they can be read independently. This series is lighter and fun yet still steamy and entertaining. Look forward to more!
“My heart is where you are.” Sweeter words have never been spoken.
I simply love these characters in this amazing page turner series! I was thrilled to read Brian's story and boy did it deliver! The way Lexxi James writes you are pulled into this world of amazing characters and never want to leave!
One small secret can change your life but fate has a way of stepping in and setting things right.
I was gripped from the very beginning and couldn't put Brian's and Jules’ story down! The moments involving Harrison’s children had me laughing out loud! Priceless!
I loved reading about Mark’s, Zac’s, and Brian's childhood superhero adventures! I was giggling as I envisioned them turning their living room into a battlefield! Really warmed my heart and brought these wonderful characters closer. I can't get enough of the boys of Bishop Mountain!
If you like stories with humor, strong women, loving men (who are also hot and sexy), and great characters, you'll love this series!
Remember that when you love, love with all your heart or not at all.
Knotted by Lexxi James is the third book in the Boys of Bishop Mountain series. It is the story of Brian and Jules.
Brian is stepping up to fill the CEO position of a multi-billion dollar business while his best friend, Mark, and his little sister, Jess, enjoy their six-week honeymoon in the Pacific Islands. However, Brian becomes one of the top ten eligible bachelors and needs a temporary fiancee for sixty to ninety days. The only person he trusts hates his guts, Juliana Spenser. Brain grew up knowing the Spenser family. They attended school together: Evangeline (Angie) and Jules; her father served, and Brian served with Jules's brother Colby, who is still serving. There are three things Jules treasures: her Korean family, books, and privacy. Jules has a roommate, Taylor, who is Jules's opposite in every way, and their relationship works fabulously. As their story unfolds, the book delves into the complex dynamics of trust, family, and relationships, keeping the reader engaged.
Brian was Jules’s high school crush before everything went wrong. Ten years have passed by and Jules is now a writer while Brian is acting CEO.
The line between love and hate is a thin one though. When Brian proposes a fake marriage to Jules, will the lines finally be blurred and will the truth be finally revealed?
Despite the family drama and Jules’s troubles at work, there were a few scenes which were hilarious and helped to lighten the mood. Personally, I was also impressed with the Asian representation (specifically Korean) here and I loved how Brian is so integrated into the Spenser family that he is able to converse in the language as well. The mention of Korean food just makes me salivate…..
Taylor is a go-all-out-for-friendship person which I would love to have on my side too. While the pacing is a bit slow at the start, it starts to pickup once Brian and Jules get married and the last part is just shocking to the core when the big reveal is dropped on our laps. So read this…and find out for yourself!
Knotted is the third book in the Boys of Bishop Mountain Series. It is a M/F, fake marriage, second chance, enemies to lovers, contemporary romance. It can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading the first two books, they are terrific.
Brian is a major playboy in need of a huge PR overhaul. What better way to change his image than to get married, the only problem, the one he trusts to fill that role considers him an absolute a$$.
I loved Jules and Brian together and fully enjoyed their story. I loved when Jules discovers the truth about everything from the past. Jules personality made me simply adore her and Brian captured my heart with his support of Jules.
The writing, pace, and flow of this story are awesome, as are the plot, storytelling, storyline, characters, character development, and relationship development. I loved this book and would definitely recommend it.
This is third book in this impressive series, and this is Brian and Juliana’s story. Brian is former military and has been voted one of Manhattan’s most eligible bachelors, and is an arrogant playboy, while Jules is a sweet introvert, who loves her book and family. Brian needs a break from the media circus, and needs to distract the press, and having served with Jule’s brother, he hopes to convince her to agree to be his fake fiancée for a few months, only problem being, she hates his guts after a humiliating prank in high school and a shaming photo stunt. Will Jules agree to help Brian and convince the press to back off? This is a well written easy to read, slow burn, with family, friendships, enemies / lovers, trust, emotions, passion, humor, witty banter, redemption, misunderstandings, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and compelling, small town romance. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
This is a unique second chance romance. Yeah we could say it was an enemies to lovers book once you start reading it but, once you get to the end you might understand why I say it is a second chance. A chance for Brian to right the wrongs he inadvertently let happen. A chance for the record to be set straight. A chance for Jules to know the truth of what happened so may years ago. Brian has always loved her. Brian who now needs help, is determined to help heal the woman he gave up so long ago, and yeah make her fall in love with him in the process. There is so much to this story that I don’t think my words can do it justice. As I read and got to know both Brian and Jules I fell harder for their story. I fell for the way her family and his was entwined, and how they just accepted and helped when needed. A beautiful romance from the ashes of a broken and unexplained past.
Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟/🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧 Format: Audiobook - dual narration by Patrick Zeller and Cindy Kay Series / Standalone: Series - Interconnected standalone Tropes: Enemies to Lovers, Protective Alpha Hero, Veteran Romance, Slow Burn, Forced Proximity
Thanks to Must Love Audio, East House Productions and the author for this ALC - all opinions are my own
This story had some amazing push and pull between Jules and Brian. The chemistry never falter at any point in the relationship. I knew it was gonna get good when there was over two hours left and things appear wrapped up. You just know there’s something good coming.
Between the fun internal monologues from these characters and Patrick Zeller’s expert performance this is one not to be missed. Cindy Kay captured Jules feisty side amazingly and brought such life to the story. This one translate beautifully to audio.
Brian Bishop is one of the Top 10 most eligible men in Manhattan. Also, school friend (wish it was more) of Juliana Spencer (Jules) who is now pursuing her journalism career. Jules has an American dad, and Korean mom and the intertwining of this in the story is delightful.
A missing sister, a brother at risk as a result of that sister’s actions, not-so-honest boss/editor, and a complicated set of events. Jules currently cannot stand Brian, but ironically is convinced to temporarily marry him partially due to her own article.
Clever, original, entertaining and romantic. Love the family interactions, and the development of the relationship. I listened to the audio and the narrations truly added to the experience.
***** I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book *****
I love Lexxi James books, but Knotted is not one of my favorites. It is book 3 in the Boys of Bishop Mountains series. The writing is great as always in Lexxi James books. This is the romantic steamy story of Brian and Jules. They knew each other from years past when they were kids and due to several big misunderstandings parted. Now, Jules is a quiet introvert with hidden issues and Brian is a billionaire with control over a big company, but also with some issues. With their attraction to each other (which they fight), things get complicated. There are spots in the story that are slow, but the story picks up towards the end of the book…ending on an enjoyable note. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "KNOTTED" full of intrigue, suspense, enemies to lovers situation, second chances, hot steamy Military Romance, great story. Brian & Jules had a rough start he always had feelings for her but she hated him needed her to be his fake wife for a situation he's in & she's the only one he can trust for Brian to do what needs to be done. Will Jules put her feelings aside to help Brian after he hurt her in an embarassing way on highschool, but what will happen between them when she finds out he's not the one responsible, secrets are revealed, will their fake marriage be given a chance for them to get their HEA a must read to see how it all turns out. I highly recommend to read you so won't be disappointed Lexxi James did an awsome job writing this story.
I love the enemies to lovers trope so I was excited for this audiobook. What do you do when your rival asks you to fake marry him?? Wait, what??
Brian is acting CEO and he is going viral on social media…but for all the wrong reasons. His life needs a complete overhaul, and a wife would convince the press his playboy ways are behind him. But there is only one person who he trust to be his fake fiancé…and she hates him.
I enjoyed this story - Jules and Brian had great chemistry. We get some great tension and slow burn between them. There are some great laugh out loud moments too!
I definitely connected with Jules - she’s an introvert and sassy and witty and was working towards her dream of being a writer. I loved her internal dialogue.
The narrators did a great job bringing Jules and Brian to life (and the secondary characters too!) I loved the banter and their back and forth. There are also emotional moments and angst - Jules has hated Brian for a long time and she eventually finds out the truth. I enjoyed the ending!
✨What To Expect: 💖Contemporary Romance ❤️🔥Enemies to Lovers 🧲Forced Proximity 🩵Protective Alpha Hero 💋She’s An Introvert 🎖️Military Romance ✌️Second Chance 🔥Slow Burn 💥Explosive Chemistry
Jules is the girl Brian always loved. But he couldn’t have her. Jules has loved Brian forever, but he betrayed her and was Leah’s chasing her sister.
When they end up meeting again Brian has a business arrangement for Jules. A 90 day marriage to clean up his image. But is it fake or real? And Jules is about to find out sometimes what you think you know is not what really is…
Cute second chance romance with that side characters!
Such a great book that kept me well entertained from start to finish.
Managing a company temporarily, Brian needs to get women off his back so asks his friends sister, Jules to be his fake fiancee. Only problem is she hates him.
Witty banter and a great plot was the thing I really loved about this book. These two were at each other from the start due to bad history but that soon goes by the wayside. They fight hard to not fall for each other but it was inevitable.
Very well done with a real feel good ending, I highly recommend this book.
I wanted this to be my favorite Boys of Bishop Mountain, but it wasn't. Was it good, it was ok. Brian had already been through so much, I wanted him to find a love like no other but he and Jules kind of fell flat. This was an enemies to lovers that didn't excite me like usual and I've been on pins and needles waiting for this book. I did like a lot about the book. I loved Taylor. Harrison and the kids were perfect as usual, and Jules family were a hoot. I'm hoping we get a Harrison book because that man deserves healing!
This was a first for me from Lexxi. I had no idea what to expect as I went in blind. It is book 3 of a series but they are interconnected standalones so you don't have to read in order. I liked how there was a little of everything sprinkled into the quick read. Some military, secret identity, second chance, enemies-to-friends-to-lovers, and of course some fake dating/marriage of convenience thrown in. The pacing was amazing and I found two new to me narrators that I enjoyed! Be sure to give this one a listen! Thank you so much to must love audio for the ALC for my honest review!
This is the third book in a series of standalone books. The characters are interconnected thou. This book as all of the authors books is hot, steamy, very interesting and entertaining. Knotted is about Jules and Brian, a second chance kind of for them. Fate brought them back together. It's a cute second chance at love story and I recommend it. worth your time. Another great read as always by the author. I received an ARC for my honest voluntary review
Knotted is a slow-burn romance with a perfect blend of sweetness and spice. Brian and Jules' complex past, filled with misunderstandings and hurt, simmers beneath the surface. Years later they reunite and Jules discovers the man Brian has become. Five stars for this emotional, steamy ride. Lexxi James delivers another addictive installment in the Boys of Bishop Mountain series. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Lexxi James does it again. Jules has love/hated Brian forever. Emotions are raw when these too meet up after years apart. Their past is complex and turbulent. But the attraction and desire are still there. Can they come together to help each other or will the past keep them apart. Because when they’re together it’s like two galaxies colliding in a brilliant blaze of heat and light . . . and love.
