An all-new and addictive dark, why-choose, captive romance from the USA Today & Wall Street Journal bestselling author, Tracy Lorraine. I found peace in the last place I expected, but it was a mirage built on lies and unfulfilled promises.
I thought we somehow managed to find a way to co-exist in their little lair, but as usual I was wrong.
The second I felt settled, a corrupt Hawk turns up and flips everything I’ve come to know—and dare to trust— on its head.
Without a choice, I’m dragged out into the night by the man I vowed to obey— Maverick Murray.
Taken away from the protection of the man I loved to hate— Reid Harris.
Torn from the arms of the man who’s been my savior throughout this whole ordeal— Julian Dempsey.
They all had their reasons for needing me alive, but it was JD, the loyal best friend to the ruthless leader who taught me all about playing with fire.
The cocky playboy who likes to think himself a joker.
Just one smile from him and everything seems easier.
One touch and the rest of the world falls away.
The last thing I want to do is hurt him.
But I can’t forget that he’s a part of all this.
JD hurt me, even if it was with pleasure.
I never made a secret of where my loyalties lie.
And I have no choice but to leave him and Reid behind, as I clutch my husband’s hand, trusting that he knows best.
But what’s best for me, is the worst thing for JD. Because without me… his darkness just might pull him under.
Dear Reader, Lawless is book three of four in the Harrow Creek Hawks series. It is a dark why-choose romance, meaning our leading lady has several love interests and never has to choose to find her HEA. These three a-hole alphas are certainly no heroes; their morals are questionable at best. If you're looking for a good guy, then you're in the wrong place. Enter at your own discretion.
Tracy Lorraine is a M/F and M/M contemporary romance author. Tracy has just turned thirty and lives in a cute Cotswold village in England with her husband, baby girl and lovable but slightly crazy dog. Having always been a bookaholic with her head stuck in her Kindle Tracy decided to try her hand at a story idea she dreamt up and hasn’t looked back since.
Another great addition to this series I enjoyed this immensely, it had so much delicious darkness and had a much more dangerous flavour than its predecessors. A lot was going on here, especially in the first half and there were also some serious shocks that I wasn't expecting that had me on the edge of my seat in pure anticipation. The plot here is evolving and the threats to all of their safety gradually escalating.
Everything that is thrown at Alana, Mav, JD and Reid only brings them closer together as slowly they all start to gel together properly. The events taking place cement this self-made family once and for all as every single Hawk has fallen deep for Alana. The heat was seriously smokin and this one is the hottest so far.
And the cliffhanger my god that was good and I'm on absolute pins now and seriously worried for the health and wellbeing of all of the guys. This was such an easy and addictive read and this series has managed to keep me captivated throughout. Now we are finally approaching the finish and I can't wait to see how this will all play out.
First and foremost that cliffhanger. Let’s just say I knew something big was coming I just never expected it to be that. That ending was everything and can’t wait to see how this whole series will end.
This book is the third in the Harrow Creek Hawks and it pick up right were the second left off. We see where Alana and Maverick go and see they have some much needed time alone. And Maverick finally give into what he wants. They spend a few days just being with one another until reality sets in. And not for the better. Let’s just say it’s a really bad days for them.
Back home JD is beside himself, and you learn more about his darkness and can’t help wanting to give him a hug. Reid is still doing everything in his power to take down the enemies.
When all the four are reunited they all have form their own little form of family and a bond that can’t be touched. You see a different side from all of them. The banter between Alana and her men is surprisingly very entertaining. And the heat is just steamy and it’s everything you accept from them. I’m enjoying this series so much and can’t wait to see how everything will unfold.
It’s so hard to review books in the middle of the series without giving anything away, so let me just say, ahhhh this series is so so good. My emotions have been put through the freaking ringer on this wild ride. And each book just keeps getting better. I NEED book four asap!
Wow! This book GRIPPED ME! This is by far my favorite in this series so far! I knew Reid had it in him to redeem himself ! Up until this book, Reid has been seen as nothing but cold, ruthless and evil. This book brings us the real and raw Reid.I absolutely love the growth of this character. He’s never shown much of feeling or emotion for anyone in his life aside from his best friend JD, until Alana came into his life. This book was fast paced , gripping and intense. The slow burn between Reid and Alana was HOTTTT and so worth the wait. This book really digs deep into your heart strings. What Mav and Alana endure is agonizing, while at the same time, Reid is doing all he can to help JD fight his own d3mons. And as you can anticipate, the cliffy that Tracy leaves us with is nothing short of brutal. I’m just thankful we don’t have long before we get the conclusion to this series ! This book was an absolute chef’s kiss! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lawless is the third book in Lorraine's amazing new Harrow Creek Hawks series and this book pulled out all the stops with the emotional high and lows! Every time I think this series can't get better, the next book arrives and proves me wrong. I loved it!!!
This book is an emotional rollercoaster, but along with the hard hitting emotions the tale is also gripping. And yet, there were moments I wanted to look away as goosebumps broke out along my skin when the story took a chilling turn. I know that sounds ridiculous, especially since I was reading and I just said above that I loved this book. That statement doesn't change the fact that no matter how much something chilled my bones, I was so engrossed in this book that I forgot where I was and lost all sense of time and I couldn't look away. It's so good, I just read through the cracks of my fingers. 🫣 Then, there were the other times I had to turn my fan up 🥵and no way was I looking away. I mean keep those scenes coming...and coming...and ya know 😉🔥Alana is one lucky woman.
Reid, JD, Maverick, and Alana have dug deep under my skin and this series has fast grown as one of my favorites and there is still one book left!! I can hardly wait to finish their amazing ride, especially after the big cliffhanger and all the big feels that this book opened.
Ok I had read other reviews before I started this book because sometimes you just want little bread crumbs of information….But are you kidding me?!?! The ending of this book just about took me out!!! I need book 4 (Fearless) ASAP!!!
Alana, Maverick, Reid & JD/Julian
These four seem like an unlikely foursome…they’ve all been dealt a horrible hand in life…that alone makes them family once they put their egos aside…well mainly Reid but he is trying…I guess when you’re all fighting the same enemy anything is possible
We’ve read a lot of Alana’s backstory earlier in the series….we get more of Mavericks & JDs past this time around…each little tidbit of info helps you understand those two more…I still want to know what makes Reid Harris tick…his walls are cracking but I think there’s still more to his story that we don’t know yet
If you are looking for a dark captive why choose romance that’s heavy on the spice but still has a lot of story to tell give this series a read…I will say just when you think you are piecing stuff together Tracy throws a monkey wrench in there & blows everything you thought you knew up *check trigger warnings because there are several & they can be pretty heavy
*I received an arc of this book for my honest review *
We are back with Alana and her men for the 3rd book in this dark captive why choose romance, and we hit all the feels in this book! From growing relationships to revealing past traumas, this book was intense yet healed your soul at the same time. The gang has been through so much but together they are stronger then ever. Can't wait to find out the conclusion of this amazing series!
Lawless is book 3/4 in the Harrow Creek Hawks Series
I still have so many questions and when you think you know what is going to happen… nope you don’t lol this book is probably the darkest so far as well.
Also the spice is amped up in this book. It’s 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I am really enjoying this series and i can’t wait to see how it wraps in the next book!! The cliffhanger is 🫣🤯😡
Book three in The Harrow Creek Hawks Series and we're back with Reid, JD, Mav and Alana and we're still surrounded in danger, in fear, in passion, in want and hope, in awe and in downright steam!
I was on the edge of my seat, I smiled, I laughed, I had a year or two escape and then I also sobbed! Tracy really knows how to put you through the ringer and oh man, I am so here for it!!
I can't even begin to describe how much a need book four!! Note I said need!
Can't wait.
*I voluntarily received an arc and this is my honest review. 4.5 stars.
Holy-fucking-shit. Lorraine has been a longtime favorite of mine, but Lawless fucking obliterated every single previous level of mind-fuckery. That ending...fuck that. There are cliffhangers, and then there are Lorraine cliffhangers, but nothing can compare to the way Lawless made my heart stop. I think I need an emergency appointment with my therapist because I’m far from ok.
If you are looking for swoony heroes that send their women chocolates and flowers, this is NOT that. These dark and dangerous alpha men take dirty talk to a new level, deliver screaming “Os,” and bring a 🔪 for threats and foreplay. If this isn’t your thing, you should probably walk away. Or, if you’re feeling daring, come and join the dark side.
Lawless not only pulls you deeper into the darkness that lurks in Harrow Creek, but it also adds so much more than the physical passion we’ve seen play out. The previous books were more so about each of them exploring the physical connection they shared with Alana, but Lawless explores every side of what’s been transpiring between them from the start. It’s beyond a physical connection between them; it’s soul-encompassing. There’s no two halves of a whole; it’s ¼ of a whole. Sure, Alana is the center, but it’s about more than what they can give her. The friendship and love brewing between the four of them is creating the unstoppable force that will bring Victor and his cronies to their (hopefully) torturous end.
From the start, the love that Alana and Mav had for one another was palpable, but it pales in comparison to the love between them in the pages of Lawless. It’s the type of love that fairytales are made of, and maybe if they weren’t born in the creek, their story might be different, but their love was born in the midst of darkness and devastation. Yet, it doesn’t change the fact that Mav is her Prince Charming. The love they have is unwavering and without condition, and when you add in the unbridled passion, it feels like the fairytales we grew up on, except darker and a whole lot dirtier.
JD and Alana understand one another in a way that is different from the others. It may have started with the intent of it only ever being physical, but the connection they shared was always more apparent because it was much deeper than either of them knew. In a way, it was as though the broken and abandoned pieces of each of them were what triggered everything brewing between the four of them. Apart, they are all broken pieces, but the more they are together, the more those broken pieces begin to fuse themselves together. Separately, they are all strong in their own right, but together, they are an unstoppable force of nature. And it all started because JD decided he knew what it would take to get the information they needed from Alana. What he really ended up getting was a lot more than the answers they needed and hot sex. He found something that soothed the storm that raged in his mind.
Alana and Reid’s beginning was teeming with hate, cruelty, and dispair, but even then, the connection they shared was filled with an intensity that electrified the air around them. They were explosive, and yet Reid proved that he has more willpower and restraint than other mere mortals. Every time he held himself back from taking what he wanted, he seemed to do nothing more than fuel the fire between him and Alana. Reid is very much the Devil we initially met, but there’s much more to this dark and dangerous man than most ever see. As Alana and Reid were able to see below the surface and put their preconceived opinions of one another into perspective, the connection they shared became a whole different level of impassioned chemistry.
Lawless was heart-pounding insanity from the first word to the last. I can say wholeheartedly that Lawless is the best book I’ve read all year. Harrow Creek Hawks is everything I love about Lorraine’s books on steroids. If you combine the storyline and characters, Lawless goes from “dark” to “pitch black,” and I am here for it. This series is being woven into a literary crack. I can’t get enough. It’s an all-consuming blend of nonstop heart-pounding mindfuckery, angst, fervent chemistry (x3), a strong heroine ready to destroy her demons, and red-hot steam.
Lorraine’s talent continues to leave me in awe, but Lawless took my breath away. The raw, gritty emotion that poured through the pages ripped me apart. There is depth to all the characters that is intricately woven to only give a few bits at a time, fueling my addiction to everything Hawks and Tracy Lorraine
Every book in this series continues to get better, in every way imaginable. Every word reinforces that there would have been no possible way to tell Alana, Mav, JD, and Reid’s story in fewer books. Every word is placed with intent, whether you know it at the time or don’t realize it until later. This series features 3 main characters who have all shown significant growth since we first met them. It may be happening over a short period of time, but there’s never been a moment when it didn’t feel as though it were genuine. There’s nothing forced about the growth of each individual character, and certainly not as they all explore the intense connection they share with not only Alana but with the four of them. Sure, it’s not the same, but there’s definitely something that makes it impossible not to believe that it was always meant to be the 4 of them.
Lawless is book three in the Harrow Creek Hawks series by Tracy Lorraine and the best one so far. We are back with Reid, JD, Maverick and Alana, and there are so many twists and turns in this gripping instalment that you won’t want to put the book down. The author teases us with some answers but leaves us with just as many as more secrets and lies are uncovered. Be warned! - this ends in a dramatic and shocking cliffhanger. After some surprising revelations I was expecting something but not that !!
Three dangerously possessive men and one unbreakable woman.
The last book ended with Mav leading Alana out of Reid’s house in the middle of the night and now we find out where they went. While they get some much needed time together, JD is struggling to cope without her and makes a devastating decision. Reid feels everything is falling apart and hates to admit Alana’s got him wound up and distracted. He has no idea how to deal with the emotions she pulls out of him. He pushes forward with his plans but makes mistakes that could have deadly consequences.
Alana has a chance for everything she’s ever wanted but she misses JD and the safety she felt at Reid’s house. Mav learns things about his wife he never knew and finally gets the chance to let go and give her what she needs. He also realises her connection to JD is stronger than he thought. When events take a turn for the worse, Mav and Alana have more horrors to endure.
This book is very emotional and my heart broke for all four characters as we learn so much more about them. The author really delves into their past and what they have been through, especially JD and Mav. Can Reid and Mav put their rivalry behind them and find a way to be friends. It was interesting how much affect Alana has had on all of them and she really is the glue that holds them all together as they work through their issues and try to heal. I loved seeing another side to Reid and how much he actually cares for the others.
When the four are reunited we get to see how much has changed between them. They become a tight knit group with the same objectives and their bond grows stronger. Reid is determined to be the strong one of the group because he feels everything that has occurred is all his fault due to his need to ruin his father and get her justice. JD is still the joker and his banter brought some light into their serious situation. There are some very steamy scenes especially when Reid can’t resist her anymore.
Questions arise over who to trust and who might betray them. Will who Reid chooses to help them come through or let them down? Will his plan work or is he taking too many risks to achieve his revenge. Will Alana ever get the future she deserves or will Victor destroy her again? Will they all survive the pain and fear of both the past and the future? Traumatic and heartbreaking at times but totally captivating and thrilling, I can’t wait to see what the author comes up with next as it is bound to be a spectacular conclusion.
Tropes: dark why choose romance, forbidden, captive, Taboo, bully, new adult, romantic suspense

Lawless is another adrenaline-fueled story. The more I experience the connection between Alana and her men, the more I want. This picks up where book two left off. The cliffhanger just about killed me, but I am so excited for the last book to see how Tracy brings their story to a close. I lived on the edge of my seat from start to cliffhanger ending. I highly recommend this read, but know you need to start with Merciless. This is my honest opinion, freely given.
This is the third book in the Harrow Creek Series and I got to tell you; I’m beginning to have a love/hate relationship with Tracy right now. This story was so much more than I was expecting and even though I liked the first two books, I love this one the most! It had more action, more plot progression and let me not get started on the smut!! This entire series has had me on edge with all the twists and turns that I definitely didn't see coming. It’s super intense and I am here for it! I almost threw my entire tablet across the room because of that cliffhanger and waiting the next few weeks for the next book might just be torture!!
I was provided an ARC of this title for free and am leaving this review voluntarily. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Your mental health is important! Please be advised of content warnings and keep yourself safe from any triggers you may have.
Following the pattern, Tracy Lorraine takes everything up a notch or three with the third book of her Harrow Creek Hawks series, and I continue to be ALL THE WAY HERE for it. 👏🏻
After the last book, I had a few predictions for the general idea of where things may have been headed with this book— but SURPRISE, the author threw some curveballs at me that I still somehow didn’t see coming.
I also said something along the lines of “Alana has her cake and eats it, too”— and that theme continues tenfold in this book. I love seeing the group come together in more than just their MUCH BIGGER plans, and try to find a working dynamic for their somewhat unorthodox relationship.
I know going into these books every single time that the endings are going to give me heart palpitations— but WHAT DO YOU M E A N, because this one nearly TOOK ME OUT.
I need book four pronto, I am so ready to learn what’s next!
Lawless is book three, in this captive dark complex series, but how cruel are these just enough, but never enough cliffhangers, I will sell my soul for their ending and a dirty one, at that.
These books have taken on a virtual journey of red flags, pain, sexual tension, anxiety and depression. And most of all love and the sacrifice and length you go for it,
Any more and I’ll spoil it for you. Trust me just dive in.
With each book that I read in this series, the more and more I fall in love with the characters. Especially Reid, he has definitely grown on me throughout the books. It's truly hard to pick a favorite. I thought I was a Mav girl, but how am I supposed to choose between the three?
I cannot wait to read the last book from this series and see how it all ends. The cliffhanger in this book had me shocked and excited for more.
"I know that what I was proposing was insane. Three dangerously possessive men and one unbreakable woman."
This book had everything I hoped for and so much more. We got to know the characters so much more and the build up for the fourth and final book. This book still sets in stone for me how much I love Reid! I do love JD and Mav but Reid will always hold the hold spot. I love seeing the teddy bear side to him that only his chosen family get to see.
I can't wait for the wild ride. That cliffhanger! I am very excited to see how the next book will start!
Quote:📖 Fire races through my veins and I let myself indulge and the one thing that gets me out of my own head.
Thoughts: 💡 This story is as dark and twisted as ever, the characters are more black than morally gray, and the book ends on a pretty wild cliffhanger. The things that happen and the way they treat each makes me a bit queasy. Will it make me stop reading? Nope.
Writing Mechanics: ✍️ The writing devolves a bit with each book with the language becoming more stilted and awkward, but it’s still entertaining. The plot is full of twists and intrigue. I just struggled with some of the weird phrasing, but it wasn’t so weird that it ruined the book.

🔗 - Important Notes: I was given an ARC from THE AUTHOR in exchange for an honest review. So, I will do just that. Additionally, this review does have minor spoilers!
💋 - Short Review: I loved this book. I’ve actually been loving this series entirely. If you’re thinking of getting into this series, I would recommend it if you love dark romance books.
However, please read the trigger warnings. I kid you not, I had to take breaks while reading. Especially this one. This one had me needing to reread one of my comfort books in order to get into this book again.
🪢 - Long Review: Okay, if you’re still reading this review after the short review then here we go.
This series has been quite the adventure. Alana has gone through so much and I swear I cried tears of anger and frustration due to this book. If any books plot twists have made me borderline hysterical, then this one would be one of the top ones.
Then above the love I have for Alana, there’s Alana’s husband Maverick that has me wanting to hold him so tightly. This man has litteraly been through hell and back over Alana. I kid you not there was several times I thought this man was going to walk away because I thought it was all too much for him.
Then there’s Reid and JD who I quite literally hated in the previous books but end up loving them. Especially in this book, after we got more background on them I fell in love with him. Reid and JD may be all buddy buddies and all that, but they are so much more. JD has such a past and his SH scene that resulted him in almost d wording, broke me a little.
At some point I wished I could go into the book and protect Alana and her men all on my own. Tracy must pay for my therapy bills at this point because come on. This book was brutal.
Anyways, as I usually end up closing off my WC/RH reviews with, JD is my favorite. This will probably change, but who knows.

Such a great series so far. My Fav is Mav by far but then JD. Reed is growing on me but for now I'm not quite there yet. I love Mav and to be honest whether having sex or not she was married to Mav and she cheated and that hurt me for him. And then he has to just be ok with her and the other no matter what he says. They had plans for a future and she ruined it all. But I guess in the end she will have a better one. Even tho. They are getting along now. I cant seem to see Mav taking orders from Reed since he is older the Reed too. I guess I missed the age difference or forgot cause if he is older then Reed and Married Alana at 18 and been together for 5 years that's 23 how old is Mav. Not that it matters I absolutly love Mav and it broke me to see what they went through together. JD has a different kind of sadness but even tho he tried what he did. I wasn't as drawn to it because I couldn't buy into this kind of guys and them going off the rails like that. A killing spree made more sense. But I love when he is cheerful and playful. I hooe the writer doesn't change that Mav and Alana are married just cause she is with others it will devastate me. I mean if the others wasn't to be "married" they can do a commitment ceremony or something. If they get torn apart in that way it will ruin the series for me. He deserves her hand period. He went through hell more then once for her. Ok rant over no matter my rant it's still one of the best series I've read. Such good writing. I really love this author and if she get me in my feels like this then you know she is good. But please I DO NOT CONDONE CHEATED!! Not unless they deserved it and well he didn't. After everything she went through he didn't want to hurt her. I get it. Even tho I get her too I get what he was thinking and I respect him even more for it. 1 think I didn't understand is they said her piercings had a tracker yet they couldn't find her. That felt odd to me.. that's all. Have a good read cause you won't be able to put these down. I know I couldn't and can't wait for the last one because wowza that was some cliffhanger.
This is book #3 in the Harrow Creek Hawks Series and it picks right up from where book 2 finished. This book also ends on a massive cliffhanger, HUGE, so get ready to have your mind blown and I mean blown.
You must read these books in order. The cliffhangers from these book will have you gripped. This series is a reverse harem, dark romance, captive romance forced proximity, he falls first with bully romance vibes, touch her and die vibes with suspense and spice that is a must read.
These characters are going from strength to strength and the bond they all have is getting stronger. They all go through so much and the reader goes through with them. I'm glad Reid can finally see what's right in front of him and that the guys and Alana can finally feel there feelings genuinely. As they all come together nothing can tear them apart it seems. This book delves much deeper into each of these characters and its a real gripping read. My heart for JD is breaking and i really feel for him and I love how Reid takes on being the rock for everyone and being strong. I love how protective and how possessive these guys are and I couldn't take my eyes of of them all.
This series will literally have you on the edge of your seat biting your nails and the suspense is captivating, while the spice is hot hot hot. This book and these characters will take you on a rollar coaster ride and your emotions will be all over the place. It has fantastic character development and the plot is absolutely fabulous. This book is packed full of twists and turns and mega shocks that will have you turning the pages so fast you will read it in one sitting. This world this author has created is absolutely fantastic and it flows perfectly from book 1- book 3 and once I started reading this book I couldn't put it down.
I highly recommend this series to everyone but it is NOT a standalone and MUST be reads in ORDER.
Check the trigger warnings too because there are some very powerful red flag triggers guys.
I love how strong Alana's character is. Even after everything, she still cares about saving all the other girls in the town. Her dynamic with Mav is amazing. I was really enjoying the few blissful moments they had at the cabin. The way they found some semblance of serenity even with the world crashing around them. The way JD cares for Alana is just ❤️❤️❤️. I honestly kinda felt disappointed that Alana left JD behind.
With that said, though, Alana is pathetically needy where Reid is concerned. Honestly. She shouldn't even be letting him near her, and that's not because of Victor. Yes, Reid might want her, but it doesn't change what he's done. And even though he sent them away to protect them, you just can't ignore the fact that he also did it for his own benefit because he couldn't handle his feelings (As JD said) and he put that before JD when he knew JD needed her. The last thing Alana should want is Reid. And she still asked him to stay (pg 228), like really, what is the matter with you😑.
Even with that, though, glad that Reid finally came around and somewhat admitted his feelings and gave in. I just popped back to The Secrets You Keep and found out that Mav is actually the one that becomes Reid's second-in-command. Totally looking forward to seeing that happening. Glad to see Reid and Mav finally getting along❤️
Mav being supportive with JD was just heart-melting. JD's story is really sad. My heart's just gone for him. I love Alana for understanding and supporting JD the way she did. As always, TL has left us with a massive cliffhanger at the end, as always making us impatient for the next book. Although there's still another whole book to go, I didn't trust Aubrey completely. Totally knew something was going to happen the minute Aubrey took her away from the guys. Still, I'm frustrated that the last book is yet to come and not here already. Badly wanna see where this story will go and how it ends.🧡

“We get through this in one piece, and I’ll give you the fucking world, Pet.”
What can I say about Lawless that won’t spoil anything? Nothing really, but I am going to try! This is the 3rd book in the series. Full of suspense and spice, this one is soo good! I am obsessed! Maverick is trying to give Alana the future they always talked about. They get a reprieve and indulge in each other, FINALLY!
[ “I want whatever dark and dirty thoughts flicker through your head. Choke me, spank me, hurt me. Right here, right now, I’m giving you consent to do anything.”]
But all good things seem to never last long for Alana, and the darkness that follows her returns.
Not only did my heart break, but so does JDs, when he awakes to find her gone, & he is completely alone. He has demons, we knew that, but now we really know the background story.
He just unravels.
[“I don’t give a shit what we’re about to walk into. If she’s there, if she needs me, that’s where I’m going to fucking be.”]
Which in turn, makes his best friend, Reid unravel as well-then a rescue mission brings them all to the conclusion- this all must end.
["J needs her. Hell, Mav certainly needs her. And I… am not fucking going there."]
I loved seeing Reid’s walls come down a bit, I feel like I don’t fully know him yet. The love Mav and JD have for Alana is overwhelming. She is such a bright spot for JD, and even if Mav struggles to share, he wants to let her have what she wants.
[“If I disappear, I promise you that I will come back. I will always come back to you.”]
I am really unsure how to feel about Aubrey… I want to trust her, like Reid does, but I am struggling. I hope I’m wrong! The ending was brutal and the last book comes out next month, I cannot wait to see the conclusion
OMG! What a freaking mind blowing story that was! The intensity, emotional turmoil and danger has been kicked up a whole hell of a lot. And the plot has now reached its the ultimate peak with that jaw dropping cliffhanger of an ending! I think I have definitely bitten off all of my fingernails and possibly given myself an anxiety attack over what just transpired in front of my eyes. Did I scream - hell yes I did, many times throughout and possibly stopped to question WTF I just read!
Alana and Maverick may have left for a short while, hiding out from possible danger, but they really needed this time alone to allow their relationship to grow into something so much more than they were hoping for. It was beautiful and their connection becomes stronger.
The growth of all the characters really made my heart swell with love for them all as a unique family and a force to be reckoned with. But what really amazed me was getting to see the raw and emotional side of Reid. His relationship with Alana really takes a turn for the better. It was intense, emotional, and so freaking HOT that the buildup up nearly killed me!
The twists and turns continually throughout kept me on the edge of my seat, questioning everything, and just blowing my mind as I had no idea what the hell was going to happen next. It was one hell of a bendy and bumpy rollercoaster ride.
The stage has been set brilliantly for the setup of what is sure to be one hell of an explosive ending to this phenomenal series! I for one, will be waiting on bated breath for the final book to come out!
