It came upon a midnight clear that Santa told me in no uncertain terms I had to take a vacation this year. The thought of laying around on some beach doing nothing was my idea of hell, so hiking the Appalachian Trail was my plan. Everything was great until a near-sighted barn owl sent me careening down the side of a mountain in a snowstorm. Now, I’m tucked away in his cozy cabin while my leg and shoulder heal. Alden Kirk is the adorable owl shifter, and he’s sincerely sorry, seriously attentive, and did I mention he’s adorable? He keeps telling me how smart and clever I am, but he’s just being nice. Right? I’ve always been the heavy lifter, not the smart one. But the longer I stay, the harder it is to resist my sweetly sexy feathered friend. Would someone so smart and sweet even consider a big himbo like me?
A nerdlet owl is falling…
Okay, so I went flying in the snow without my special glasses. What’s the worst that could happen? Leave it to me to make a common-senseless decision and cause serious injury to one of Santa’s freaking reindeer a few months before Christmas. Hale Comet is a big sexy beast of a guy, but he’s sweet, kind, funny and clever even when he doesn’t mean to be. I can parse a sentence and write a novel, but when it comes to my growing feelings for Hale, I’m clueless. I have to help him heal so he can get back home, but the longer I spend with him the more I’m certain I can't just let him walk out of my life. Would a gorgeous guy that’s so kind and important even consider a nothing nerd like me?
Hale and Alden might fight their feelings, but in the end they’ll learn that hearts are gonna heart, fate is gonna fate, and mates are gonna mate!

She believes everyone deserves their happily ever after, but sometimes it's a difficult path to get there. Now she spends her spare time dreaming and writing about these wonderful characters she has in her head, and telling anyone who will listen that instalove is a very real thing.
What a perfect conclusion to an overall amazing series! I can honestly say that I enjoyed each and every one of these authors takes on this idea. Hale & Alden both have inner issues of not believing they are good enough for a mate, and Abigail had no problem showing the readers these faults. The flow is seamless of these two finding and accepting the other as their perfect match. Even when insecurities arise, they talk it out and are able to put the other at ease. A perfect opposites attract shifter mpreg holiday romance. Thanks again to all the authors for putting together such a cohesive yet separate series. Job well done!.
I think this might be my favorite of the whole series. Comet goes to hike some of the Appalachian Trail and as a snowstorm is coming and he tangles with an owl, the 2 decide to shelter rather than go on. Anyway, Comet wakes to find the owl gone and then tracks him to his cabin. Of course, the 2 are Mates. I really enjoyed this book, little to no on page sex and a cute couple. The best thing was the idea that Comet gives Alden for a book and joy of joys, there is a book due out by this author called The Very Naughty List: An MM Dark Christmas Short Story Collection which I am hoping is Comet's idea, because I am really down for that. An ideal book for my long train journey just before Christmas.
. . . Stars: ⭐⭐⭐⭐🌟 Hot: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 É uma leitura F(. . .), desculpe pela palavra, eu amei 🖤. . . Amei! This book is a quick and joyful read. Alden, the little owl shifter, is a feisty, smart omega that also writes action thrillers. Hale is one of Santa's reindeer, an alpha and is from Comet's bloodline. When Alden literally flies into Hale, they both know they are fated mates. It does take a little bit for them to acknowledge it but when they do, they keep each other toasty warm through the snowstorm that has them trapped. Read along and find out about Alden's loving but pushy parents, mostly mom. You will also find out about the mate that Hale lost when he found his mate. It was no loss for Hale honestly as the guy is not nice and should be on the Naughty List. But you will find that the feisty Little Owl makes everything better and I loved it!
This book was good but compared to the others it was more like a novella. I didn't really like how Comet and Alden mated so quickly. There was no build -up. And even when they were together there wasn't alot of erotic descriptions. Just a few. It just seemed like bam, met on the offshoot of the Appalachian Trail. Then bam, the recognize their mates and fall into bed with one another. I know everyone in Paranormal and Mpreg writes differently but thought a true bite to the neck was what solidified the mating bond but only if you are fated which this these 2 don't follow. As far as the Mpreg goes, there is little to no discussion of knotting. I thought the book was good for a novella but as a novel it is lacking something.
Comet was told by Santa that he had to take a vacation so he went hiking on the Appalachian Trail where he was knocked over by a near-sighted barn owl shifter called Alden. Now in the cabin rented by Alden while he writes his next novel, he keeps apologising.
This was a sweet story of how Comet met his mate and they started a family together. I loved seeing just how magical and powerful Santa is. I enjoyed the descriptions of the area that the cabin was in and the cute woodland animals that were there. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content. Set in the omegaverse with mpreg.
Om this book might have been really short but it was so emotional! I loved every bit of it!
Character breakdown;
Comet: omg I LOVED this reindeer! He was such a darling and poor thing hurt by a loser before. I am glad he did not let that deter him from wanting his mate though. Loved this devoted heart warming man.
Alden: I loved the owl shifter, not only was he an author but he was such a spicy little owl! Cutest thing ever. But his mother though…
Very short but enough to give you laughter and the feels, absolutely recommend 9.5/10 ⭐️
This book is Alden and Hale (Comet)'s story. Hale takes his mandatory vacation in the Appalachian mountains of North Carolina where he is run into (twice) by Alden. I really like that Alden is a shifter as well. He's an owl shifter which I love. This book is another great addition to this series. I want to finish this series, but I'm also going to miss all these characters. So it may have to become a yearly re-read.
This is a great story in this series! Comet is a cinnamon roll of an alpha reindeer shifter. Alden is a sweet nerdy omega owl shifter. It was fun to read their meet cute, and quickly growing romance. This is a well written mpreg novella, that left me impressed by how the author told such a completely satisfying story. Highly recommended!
Alden and Hale's story put a smile on my face the entire time I read this. They are just super sweet and absolutely adorable together. Alden's family was a hoot and I loved when Alden told off Hale's mean ex. And the reindeer shifter story that Alden wrote, I would totally read that. Loved this book!
Comet was great he & his little owl show us love in the mountains!!!! and I love how Alden deals with his mother's mothering of her little boy!!! A very sweet loving story Thank you Lori
This was precious. It’s the first I’ve read by Abigail Kade and I really enjoyed it. It was short and sweet just like I like my holiday romances. Now. Could we get Alden’s series next please?
This book was fun and entertaining from start to finish. I enjoyed reading about the relationship between Hale and Alden. They seem like complete opposites, but they somehow make it work.
Another precious take on Santa’s reindeer, Comet brings a new depth to the series. Both MCs have self destructive tendencies, which is new in the series. Short, sweet, with a kickass spin-off.
I absolutely loved this story. This time we get Comets story and it was so cute. I laughed and giggled and cheered my way through this fantastic story.
Well written story and well developed characters! You should, but don't have to, read this series in order. In this one, the bully gets his just desserts!
Wonderful Christmas romance. Fun and sweet. Hale and Alden are both unaware of how great they both are--was so glad to see Tundra get what he deserved. Recommend reading.
Finally a book in this series that doesn't make want to pull my hair out 😊 And I didn't gag once... 😁 And finally no mention of Alpha and Omega like it was the most important thing in a couple.
