I had read Deal Gone Dead, which was originally number one in the series, so I thought I should go back and read this prequel (now #1). I like the setting and the fact that Lily is a real estate agent will lend itself well to the whole stumbling over bodies cozy mystery aspect. I did think she made bad choices throughout this book, but that seems to happen in a lot of cozies. The Kindle version that I read definitely could have used an editor, as there were quite a few typos.
I don't understand the cover. The dog in the book is a German Shepard, so the dog on the cover makes zero sense.
Wow .. I’m not sure why Belle would want to continue in business with Lily! She’s running around poking her nose into the investigation and Belle is bringing in all the business and closing all the deals!! All Lily seems to do is baselessly accuse people, tick people off and get hurt 😑😒😒
New realtor Lily Sprayberry and her business partner/best friend Bell Pyott have just started their business and are looking for listings. Then Lily finds the dead body of an old man she has known for years. Thinking the police aren't doing enough to find the killer Lily starts looking and ends up attacked by the killer. But she does find the killer!
Lily and Belle are ready to start their own real estate office working in their home town of Bramblett, Georgia. The only problem is the first day out Lily encounters a body. And thus starts the first murder Lily finds the need to solve. Don’t miss this book if you love Lily or if you haven’t met Lily yet. You won’t want to miss it.
I’d read the first two books in this series several years ago, before a prequel was published. In the meantime, all the book numbers changed causing each book to be a full book instead of a half-step book. But this was still a fun little book to read since I was already familiar with the characters Lily and Belle. I’m eager to dig into the Halloween book next.
First book of a new series I always give a critical eye to that. Especially when it's an author that I have been reading the other series that they have. I really did like the book but not necessarily the storyline. This author is a very good writer and so I expect a really good series from her and I look forward to reading the next book.
Lily Sprayberry is a newly ordained realtor. Very excited to start finding clients. In her zest to go house to house and let people know she’s available she has the bad luck to find a dead body at the house of someone she knows. From there it escalates to try to find out who the murderer is.
Very nice short story about a new real estate agent Lily Sprayberry. Lily and her partner Belle Pyott have just started their business and they are amateur sleuths finding out something horrible that happened.
The characters were amazing and enjoyed reading about how all these characters came about!! And what started Lily to become what she is now!!
The storyline was phenomenal!! This author knows how to keep you on the edge of your seat with suspense and a bit of humor thrown in to lighten the mood. I highly recommend this read!!
