There are many reasons why this is a good ghost story, and one of the most consistent is the way it makes you wish the past could be changed. I hold out hope that it can, even as I fear that it cannot.

first thoughts 💭: i just wanna know what’s right and wrong at this point 😭… like i was not expecting that to happen and like i thought it was fake until Nene actually sees that and i was like 😳… story wise who knows what’s gonna happen at this point 😭

Let’s start off by saying that…what happens with Hakubo and Sumire? Absolutely deranged. I’m into it, but I was certainly not expecting this manga to go there! 😱 That was some hardcore shit. Iconic for sure!

As always, as a girly whose brain has been rotten by my precious Hanako, it was dreadful that he was hardly in this volume 😭 it’s likely a considerable contributing factor for why this didn’t get 5🌟

It was fascinating though to have Sakura reveal so much information in this volume! We know the circumstances of how Yashiro will die… We know what/who Hanako’s yorishiro is… We know Sakura is over 100 years old… It’s a lot of information to learn in such quick succession!

Anyway. It was precious seeing Kou and (my enemy) Teru bond! All Kou wants is to be as powerful as his big brother, and I can’t fault him for looking up to him. It was sweet seeing Teru finally accept and encourage Kou’s path to becoming an exorcist. Though I must admit, Teru is correct. Kou's not really built to exorcise supernaturals without regard or consideration. He’s too close to two supernaturals in particular to ever be so emotionally uninvolved in the process. So, we’ll see where that goes!

A beautiful end to an amazing arc, and things are finally starting to get back to “normal” but with some major differences. Loved the emotion and character development in this one and the art is PHENOMENAL as always!

Un tome 19 des plus entrainant et un peu sanglant aussi. On en sait plus ici concernant les mystères et la frontière entre les morts et les vivants. L'ambiance y est toujours lugubre et cette fois, Nene est moins mise en avant au profit des différents mystères. Ce qui donne une dimension aussi plus adulte je trouve.
Les dessins me plaisent toujours autant avec ces aplats de noir et blancs, ces traits sombres forts et un design mignon qui vient perturber ce côté glauque des histoires d'horreur et de fantôme.
Toilet-bound reste un de mes mangas préférés pour ce côté-là (en plus de son intrigue) et ce 19e tome a été une bonne lecture à mes yeux.
