On this bewitched autumn night, someone special has entered my woods...someone different. And soon, I will claim her. The girl has had no choice in life--and coming to the witch's grave, on Connecticut Hill is no different. Her friends seek cheap thrills and Become much worse than any nightmare... ...but I want so much more for her. I'll wait for Celia in the cool, dark shadows, and when she needs me most, I'll come to her aid. And what happens next...? Perhaps she'll become another story, just like me. Or will we write a new tale together?
The Witch's Grave is a 10k dark short story featuring a woman who wants to escape her life and the witch that saves her. This is a dark short, so please be sure to check the trigger warnings located at the front of the book.
Lexie is a paranormal romance author and avid reader from Upstate New York. She runs an editing and PA company Morally Gray Author Services and lives with her husband, dog Layla, and cat Swiper. When she's not reading (which is rarely) you can find her playing video games or looking for amazing indie bookstores and vintage shops. Lexie writes campy books full of smut with simp-y monsters looking for love.
It's been a looong time since I read an FF book, so I said, "Why not?" It was a freebie. The cover looks awesome, the title as well.
It was too damn short. It would have been interesting to read their "adventures" once she decided to stay with her witch.
Very fast paced, paranormal / witchy read, some spice, insta everything, she is almost SA ed by an idiot, but she had her revenge by the end of the read (see, quite a few things were packed in such a short book). No epilogue *sad face*. But the HEA is for sure implied.
I'd read an extended version if there ever will be.
Super quick, spicy sapphic novella with a witch. The sexy witch calls her “little fawn” and their safe word is “cauldron.” There’s also praise. It’s only 43 pages. It was an entertaining, mindless read.
Is it poorly written? Yes. But did I still have a good time? Also yes.
I don’t have much to say other than that because it’s so sort. TW for attempted rape in the beginning by a drunken frat boy.
I got this book for free from a Stuff Your Kindle Event. This was a short and entertaining enough read. There are multiple typos, and as for a romance/erotic book, I felt that we didn't spend enough time getting to know the characters or really visualize them or care for them. This is a short, fast paced read that has an interesting concept, but is perhaps a bit too short to the point of doing a disservice for the characters and story overall
This was like a bad dream. Also where does a witch in the woods get a purple strap on? That was very left field. Not dark at all and too short to be anything good. It was free so whatever.
i read this within 30 minutes. i was a bit concerned at the start with what was going to happen, but it ended up being such a sweet, short novella and i loved it
A short sapphic romance with a hint of murder. Trigger warning for sexual assault (it gets stopped pretty quickly thanks to the witch) and rotten friendships. The MC gets revenge on all participants as a bonus to her new hot girlfriend.
This was a quick read which I really enjoyed. The story revolves around a college student who has to sit back and watch as everyone makes decisions for her. When given the opportunity to choose something for herself, she makes a decision that changes her life forever. It is a FF romance and I would give it a 1/5 for spice.
A night at a gravesite on Connecticut Hill with Celia’s “friends” quickly turns awry, but a path opens up to a veil that might just change the entire direction of Celia’s life if she chooses to escape down it.
- witches/supernatural - f/f - getting revenge - insta-lust - dom/sub - restraint + primal play - toys (it’s double ended and vibrates) - sexual tension - atmospheric setting
It's an excellent story, just in time for spooky season! I am impressed with Ms. Eldridge's storytelling. She can weave a spooky story with romance quite seamlessly. If you want a nice quick read with ghosts, spooky locations, and witches, give this novella a read. Highly recommend!

Thoughts: Umm… truthfully not sure how I feel about it. I downloaded this during stuff your kindle day since it was free figure ehh might be good read for spooky season since it’s a novella. Truth be told I’m rather disappointed in what I read. To me I felt like this was way to rushed and the writing just was overlapping almost like there was no proofread or any grammar checks what so ever. Honestly was kinda weird. But wasn’t as spicy either like it was made out through all the reviews I read before downloading it. I just didn’t care for this book at all. I won’t be recommending it to anyone sadly.
This was super short but I really loved this. I want to see more of these two. I especially want to see more of the world they are apart of. What Lilith was saying about the spirts recharging the hills and her whole theory really sounded intriguing. I hope the author has or will one day explore this universe more. Lilith is HOT. And I love the revenge plot. Don't we all want somebody like Lilith to protect and love us? 😭 I cried in the end because Celia finally got to make her own choices. I can relate to the feeling and how people in her life treated her. Also the spice was immaculate, especially that last bit with their purple friend 🥵🤣 I got this free on kindle and I will be purchasing the author's other books.
Interesting very-quick high-heat relationship between an inexperienced (in all senses, not just sexually; this is basically her first night out doing non-parentally approved socializing) college freshman who ventures into the darkness with her roommate and a couple of her roommate's friends, and a witch. The witch seems almost like a supernatural entity herself, a nature spirit, not just a woman who practices magic.
The middle setting of the story, the witch's house in the Veil where spirits cross or wander, was the most interesting part to me. I hope the author is planning more for this supernatural world.
“From the moment you entered this forest, I knew you were mine.“
I enjoyed this book. It was a quick Halloween read with a bit of spice and revenge. Who doesn’t love a bit of violence towards a man that deserves it? I do feel like this had the potential to be a bit longer because there was some interesting magic lore that was brought up quickly, but I understand that it was meant to be a novella.
Decided to read this one to start of Spooky season! The cover is absolutely beautiful, and while I did see it labeled as a short story it was VERY short. I read it in maybe 20 minutes! Not really a deal breaker for me, per se but definitely something to be aware of if you’re looking for something a bit longer! Overall it wasn’t really the best or worst book I’ve ever read, pretty average, so giving 3 stars.
The idea of a nature witch tasked to guard the forest, rescues the protagonist from danger and frees her from her choice less life she lives, abusive parents and the worst roommate possible would have been good if it was more focused. It's just a mess of lots of ideas and not enough time or space.
For a small book, there was a lot of plot and relationship development. Probably the best of all the short (and long) smut novels I've read. There were some spelling mistakes and plot inconsistencies but nothing too jarring that took me out of the story. I did wish there was a third smut scene but it's fine.
For the folks that ever thought, “Gosh, I want to fuck the Blair Witch,” this is for you????
Be warned: this story is very short, and at some points, the plot feels rushed for the sake of getting to the smutty parts. That’s probably my only complaint because I just wish there were a bit more build-up in certain areas.
No build-up whatsoever. Also who is in the mood to do it right after just escaping being assaulted. This was way too fast paced and we don’t get to know the witch or what the hell is going on. Idk. Not for me.
Really quick read though. Maybe took like 30 minutes.
