I normally really like these book set in Autre, even like the book that are branching out from the Landry family, but this one fell flat for me. I had a hard time buying into the couple, it was like there was a check list the author was going through, so many tropes were hit.

I really enjoyed this story! Theo and Savannah's story was the perfect holiday read! I loved their banter, and I loved how hard they fell for each other!
This was my first Erin Nicholas book 😱 and I can't wait to dive into more of her stories!

Fun, swoony, and steamy
I loved reading this opposites attract, fish out of water, rivals to lovers, forced proximity HEA romance of all the things. Savannah and Theo’s story is a heartwarming, hilarious and steamy romance full of lovable and relatable characters with low angst. It was the perfect combination of sweet, steamy, and real life issues. Theo, born and raised in small town Autre, LA, is a Game warden with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. He is rooted in his small town and likes things the same. Savannah, born and raised in NYC, works in property management for a B&B management company but she wants to be promoted to working in big acquisitions. She wants travel the country, try new places, and keep challenging her comfort zone. Savannah and Theo are on opposite sides of the idea of building B&B cabins on the bayou. While Theo and Savannah have been in the same places and events frequently over the three years she’s been coming to Autre with her best friend Becca, they have never spent much time together. There is intense chemistry but they’ve ignored it by firmly placing each other in the “not what I want/incompatible” box. But an ill-timed prank, a steamy night, and a snowed in holiday trip makes it harder to keep within their carefully constructed safe boxes. The journey to their HEA included sweet moments, steamy scenes, snort worthy laughs, supportive friends, messy families, a quirky town, baggage unpacking, changes of heart, and all the heart squeezing love. As always, Erin Nicholas makes a romcom so much deeper than a light story with laugh-out-loud moments, and she got us there with witty dialogue, three dimensional characters who grow, and an engaging storyline. I really want to visit Autre and all its nosy, loving and ridiculous residents.

Absolutely adored this story
I absolutely adored this story. Rivals (enemies) to lovers with forced proximity is my favorite trope. Theo Taggert, wildlife ranger, finally gets a story, and it's with Savannah, Becca's best friend from college. They kind of hate each other.
Savannah has an idea to build luxury cabins on the bayou for her employer. Theo is so against the idea that he devises a plan to stop her idea. His plan is to make her stay in an already existing cabin. He wants a week, and she wants a night. The town council decides a weekend.
Things go wrong. One thing lead to another, and they end up in his bed. In the morning, he leaves her asleep in his bed for his job. She wakes up alone and gets pissed off, so she leaves all together.
Time passes as they avoid each other until one night right before Christmas at Ellie's. They end up agreeing to go to Merry Falls, NC, for her job. Snowstorm hits, they end up at a B & B, snowbound at Christmas.
Sexy times in the snow and inn.
Did anyone catch the Easter egg? The B & B and the Lost Ridge Ramblers are the same ones from Kait Nolan's new book "A love like you".

Hot steam in a snowstorm.
Stuck Bayou is a perfect example of why Erin Nicholas is a one-click author for me. Theo and Savannah have been dancing around each other for a while, and when they finally get together it’s not only explosive but also downright fun! I loved watching Theo fall and fall hard for Savannah, and once he does, she’s so it for him, it made my heart flutter. Savannah thinks she needs to go it alone, but it was wonderful to watch her realize what life with true love can mean.
While this book takes place in southern Louisiana and the mountains of North Carolina, you can take the boy out of the bayou, but you can’t take the bayou out of the boy. If you’ve never been down on the Bayou with Ms. Nicholas, come on down, and you won’t regret it. Where the men are dirty-talking, big-hearted, and protective, and the women are strong, sassy, and determined. You can’t find a better example of a small-town, big family, with lots of good emotions, and some great steam story anywhere. I received an arc of this book from the author, and this is my honest review.

They finally realize how important they are to each other and how their love will give both of them roots and wings.

City Girl, Bayou Hunky Boy what more could you ask for
I absolutely loved Theo and Savannah's story. I never took this as an enemies to lovers story. If you read their story there was always an attraction and they weren't really enemies just maybe slight rivals when it came to Savannah's job. So no this was a total opposites attract read for me. You'll love the banter between Savannah and Theo. Their heated moments and even their angry moments. It all comes together in they can't live without each other (so so cute). Erin Nicholas never disappoints in her writing. I loved the ending when they both wanted to do the Grand Gesture. I had to chuckle. Great read you will not be disappointed at all. Oh and that cover OMG so drool worthy.

Theo and Savannah
These two were so much fun to watch as they teased and tormented each other, both personally and professionally. It was clear why they both felt the way they did about issues but I enjoyed seeing them work toward each other once they set their preconceptions aside. The dialogue and characters were superb, the Autre gang were in full force and it was a great read all around. Highly recommended.

Erin Nicholas is an author I have had the immense pleasure of following for years now, and she never disappoints! Savannah and Theo are a perfect couple. Enemies to lovers, with a road trip and forced proximity thrown in, and I am unable to resist!
Such a great read, I love revisiting the Bayou, previous characters, and visiting new spots, with lots of heat thrown in (enough to melt a snow storm!)! Loved this one!

Stick with me
What do you do when you have anxiety over being stuck somewhere? Savannah doesn't realize that Theo will be the one to help alleviate her anxiety. It's Theo who realizes it's their love growing for one another that helps them both. Stick with each other and all things are possible. Wonderful story! No cheating or cliffhanger and the story ends on a happy note. I hope to see them get their beginning of a happy ever after in a future Bayou story. Enjoy 🤓

Savannah and Theo were a fun couple to get to know - definitely an "opposites attract" story up front, but they have more in common than they think. I laughed at the little digs they got in at each other while they hadn't quite realized they liked each other beyond the heat between them, enjoyed the cameos from many of the Autre gang, and loved Theo and Savannah's interactions in NC.

Erin Nicholas created a beautiful rivals love story that you will not be able to put down!! A gruff park ranger trying to stop a beautiful travelling sales woman from putting luxury cabins down on the bayou!! The sparks fly when this couple get close and when sabotage happens......well this couple finds out their chemistry is real!! Grab this book and enjoy this fabulous love story!!

Absolutely love when I get to head to Autre and this story did not disappoint. I loved Savannah and Theo! These two had chemistry from the beginning and were just perfect for each other. I couldn’t stop reading once I started this book and if you have read this series before or even if you haven’t this is another great book in the Bayou series.

So much fun! Theo has to convince Savannah that building luxury B&Bs on the bayou is a bad idea. When that works but they’re still not together, somehow their friends finagle it so he goes with her to NC for Christmas. Snow happens and they end up stranded together. The sparks fly and icing is involved… Merry Christmas to them!

With being a grumpy law man and a slick city girl, add in a snow storm during Christmas .... Chef's kiss! No shock (like, at ALL) that Erin Nicholas hit this out of the park. Theo and Savannah were perfect for each other. I appreciated how much Theo understood Savannah and how much Savannah understood Theo (not all authors do that so well).

Loved Theo's Story.
