Falling into Winter

Rate this book
In the wake of a disappointing relationship that shook her confidence, Quinn takes a girls' trip to a picturesque New Hampshire Ski Resort. As fate would have it, her penchant for clumsiness leads her to an unexpected encounter with Austin Winter. A tumble down a snowy slope knocks the wind out of her and stirs a flutter of emotions within. In a chivalrous gesture, Austin takes it upon himself to ensure her well-being, steering their paths toward an unexpected rendezvous at his cozy chalet. With each moment spent together, sparks of attraction ignite like the crackling fire in the hearth. The frosty air outside contrasts with the warmth building between them, kindling a connection that neither saw coming. As they navigate their time together, sharing stories and laughter, they find themselves drawn to one another in ways neither of them anticipated. But could this encounter evolve into something more? In the midst of snowy landscapes and shared moments, Quinn and Austin are faced with a embrace the new feelings between them or let them slip away like snowflakes on the wind. Join Quinn and Austin in a heartwarming story of unexpected connections, second chances, and the enchanting magic of a wintry rendezvous that might just thaw them out. Will their encounter in the mountains lead to a love that withstands the chill of life's uncertainties?

Hey everyone, I'm LS Phoenix, and I live in a small town in New England. I’ve been with my high school sweetheart since I was 16, we married in our mid 20’s and had 3 amazing children who are now the best well rounded adults I know. They keep me on my toes and bring endless joy to my life. I’m not sure where I would be without any of them in my life.
Now, here's how I ended up in the world of writing. I’m an avid reader myself and one day as I was reading a book I thought, hmm, I can do this. I used to write when I was in school and I always loved it. I’m a very creative person, sometimes too creative. Is that a thing? Anyway, an idea pops into my head, and it gets stuck and won't go away until I write it all down. then it just spiraled from there and I kept writing. So yeah, I dove headfirst into a sea of words and emotions, all because my brain just wouldn't let it go, and I’m completely okay with that! I love writing!
I'm all about soaking in the beauty of the world and finding inspiration around me. Each character I create, every twist I write, is a reflection of the journey we call life. So I hope you’ll join me on this ride. I can't wait to share my stories and characters with you.

Happy Reading!

DNF

This story reads like notes on what a story outline is. It has potential but needs to be more fully developed!

Quinn and Austin ✨🫶🏼

Poor Quinn, she went through a hard time before finding Austin! I felt for her.

Chad though, I wanted to punch him. Like, I really did.

The story behind Quinn and Austin though, absolutely love it!

I cannot wait for the next book to come out though! So excited for it!

If you’re looking for a cute, short, HEA, this is it!! Quinn and Austin are both so easy to relate to and root for. I enjoyed their group of friends and how they supported the MCs. The vacation at a ski chalet was the perfect touch. I really enjoyed that this had a sunshine trope without the grumpy (not that I don’t love that too 😜). She seems like such an upbeat character and Austin is perfect with her. Something about this writing on this one wasn’t quite up to the same level as she has with splintered hearts. Overall, I am excited to read the other characters stories!

ARC review——spoiler’s

This book was a great short read! First of F chad 🤬🤬🤬. He got off to easy. Secondly the love story was fast, cute, and quaint. It has a decent amount of spice, just enough trials and tribulations, and the most perfect HEA.

The thing I did not like was that I had a hard time deciphering where they were….it mentioned New Hampshire and New England both more than once.

I loved this story it was super cute and I really enjoyed how the FMC worked through her insecurities. If I had one thing to say that could be made better was that the writtng style seemed very amature and almost childish at some points.

This book bought out do much emotion because I know how it feels. Quinn and Austin story is very beautiful. I understand Quinn feeling about starting all over van be scary but I'm happy she gave Austin a try and he show her not all man are the same...
