Dear Fury, I get it, okay. You didn’t sign up to become a fill-in father, uncle, biker dad, or whatever it is you want to call yourself. But the hard truth is, you don’t have a choice. I don’t want to have to be the one to point out that you can’t send your niece to school with no food. Have you met kids? They eat a lot. I’m trying really hard not to get involved, trying not to let her sweet little voice sway me into calling you and telling you that I don’t like how you’re handling things. But it’s really hard. Because dammit, she’s a good kid and I can’t sit back and let you send her to school with no socks on for a single second longer. Seriously. No socks? And if you turn your back on me when I’m talking to you one more time… Dammit. I can’t get involved with people like you. Not when I’m hiding my own demons. God, if he found out that my eyes watch you leave my classroom every day and I wonder how it would feel to be beneath you… No. I can’t. I won’t. He’d kill me. He would bury me six feet under, and I know it. But you’re making it really hard for me when I’m constantly having to chase you. So, if you could do me a solid, and just take good care of your niece, then I won’t have to talk to you again. Please and thanks, Alexis Parker.
I loved this book I devoured it in 4 hours. Such a fantastic book I could not put this down until it was finished. Was everything and more that I love in an MC book.
First of all, I would like to say that Bella Jewel is one of my favorite authors. I absolutely love her books, I've reread several of them. Besides, prisoners of purgatory is the best series she's written in recent times, it reminds me a lot of the first MC's books she wrote. I've loved them all so far. Unfortunately, for the first time, I had to stop reading right at the beginning. I can read almost everything, I love Thrillers, horror and especially dark. I can read about psychopaths killing in graphic details and much worse. But domestic violence triggers me. I lived in a relationship like that for years, and even after a decade I still have nightmares, panic attacks and I've never even kissed anyone again. Pathetic, I know. Even though I couldn't finish the book, I know it must have been wonderful. not only because of the other reviews I read, but because Bella wrote it and this series is incredible. From what I read, I loved the main characters, the chemistry between them is undeniable. I wish I had gotten to know Hope more, but I loved her from what I read. I hope there are more books in the series!
This is book 5 in the Prisoner of Purgatory MC series. Each book will follow a different couple and these can be read as standalones.
This story follows Alexis and Fury (Ford). Alexis is a school teacher who gets a new student in class. The student, Hope is very shy and comes to school with no lunch or socks. Alexis finds out that Hope is being taken care of by her Uncle and Alexis requests a meeting. Fury shows up to the school and this is where they first meet. Sparks fly but Alexis is married......and she has secrets. Secrets that could get her killed.
I loved this story so much. Alexis and Fury could not be more different but they work. I love how protective Fury is of Alexis and Hope. His love for them is never ending and he would do anything in order to make sure they were protected There was action, angst, suspense and romance. Everything you need in an amazing story. I read this book in one sitting and didn't want to put it down. If you love MC series, make sure you check out Bella Jewel. She writes them so well! I give this book 5 stars.
Thank you so much for an ARC copy of Fury, Bella. I really loved reading this book so much. I practically inhaled this book, I read it and finished it so fast without even coming up for air.
The story follows Alexis' perspective. Alexis meets Ford (Fury) when she gets a new student in her first grade class that she teaches, Alexis is enraged when she finds out that her new student Hope has been sent to school without socks or any lunch, this then leads to her asking for a meeting with Hope's guardian who happens to currently be her uncle Ford.
Fury i would say is your typical biker in the MC club he is part of. He is all rough around the edges and is a total morally grey kind of guy who definitely has a sweet side to him if someone tries hard enough to be let into his life.
Alexis had been handed pretty much the worst cards in life, a majorly abusive husband who threatens her to stay with a secret that has been shared with no one all these years. Fury pretty much picks up on the signs right away and just wants to help her out of this seemingly impossible situation.
There were so many ups and downs in this book that I just was not expecting nor prepared for at all. Alexis had one bad thing after another literally up until the very end of the book, and there was a part in between that I thought everything would be okay for her, but no! This author put me through so much tension, not only with the ploy but between Fury and Alexis, the smut when it finally occurred was absolutely amazing and I loved it so much and seeing Alexis be cared for the way she deserved was so worth the wait.
I feel like a proud mama, whose babies have finally left the nest. What a perfect and bittersweet ending to a fantastic MC series! Fury is everything I’d hoped for, and it only took a few moments of excessive winking, protective growling and a few whispered, “hey,Darlin’s” for him to leave me in a puddle on the floor. Grab this book, after you binge the rest of the series because it’s so worth it!
Alexis Parker's only happy place is the first grade school where she teaches. When she gets a new student, Hope, a beautiful shy little girl, she worries immediately for her well-being and asks to speak with the girl's guardian, who she discovers is her uncle, an MC club member. Although Alexis is utterly enamoured with Ford, who is unlike any man she has ever met, she finds it difficult to trust men because of her traumatic past and present.
An emotional, angst-filled love story develops between Alexis and Ford from what begins as a helping hand to try and give Hope greater possibilities. I was genuinely moved by their affection for Hope in this story, and I also adored the love that was shared amongst them. Even though Alexis had a dark and horrific journey along the way, I'm so happy she was able to escape the terrible situation she was in and meet someone who genuinely loved her. What a great story. My only criticism is that I wish the book was slightly longer.
Thank you to the author and ValentinePR for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Alexis Parker is a first grade teacher. When her new student comes to school without socks or lunch, she is infuriated and asks for a meeting with her guardian. Fury (Ford) shows up the next day, and Alexis is flustered by him. Fury has not been around kids, and is raising his niece Hope with the help of his MC. Alexis thinks he needs to step up his "parenting". Alexis is married, and has secrets of her own. But she cannot fight how she feels for Fury. Fury and his family will do whatever it takes to keep Hope and Alexis safe. This book was suspenseful, and full of action and romance.
What an incredible series this was, and I'm so sad it's over. I've loved each one of these boys and the strong witty females they found as partners. Fury and Alexis could not be more different, he's from an MC and she's a school teacher. She has a black and white mentality on crime and he is definitely in the morally gray area. But wow does he ever turn her life upsides down and for the best. There was definitely some spots in thisbread that made my eyes leak, Alexis definitely went through some stuff and came out much stronger for it.
Better than Mex. The characters were inconsistent. Fury started out as an arrogant jerk, got a little better and returned to being a jerk but in all of this, he became a better man. I didn't buy his story. He had so little connection or emotion when it came to Hope, I wanted her to run away from him. I wasn't able to fall for Fury like I did Night. The MFC had this whole sexy school teacher thing going on until all of a sudden she was into a little rough sex. What? It made no sense. Should have left her the adventurous school marm who is willing to learn, not some experienced sex fiend. I saw no real emotional connection here either. Would have to say, the first one, Nightmare was the best of the bunch. At least the writing was decent. At this point, I'll be done with the series.
Fury by Bella Jewel, is the fifth and final book in the Prisoners of Purgatory MC Series, Alexis Parker, is a women with a complicated past and presen that has left her many wounds, she is a first grade teacher and and is with her children and teaching them what gives her greatest joys and satisfaction, it's her solace, so when she receives a new student, Hope, she is horrified to realize that this sweet girl lacks basic things to attend classes, it's there where she meets he person in charge of Hope, who is none other than this tough motorcycle member of the MC, Ford (Fury), who is Hope's uncle but in that first meeting he shows that he has no idea how to raise a child, so that Alexis, concerned about Hope's well-being, will try to help Fury with the girl, this will lead them to get closer and although the attraction between them is undeniable, Alexis is married and keeps a secret that could put her life in danger, but this closeness will give Fury the clues to Alexis's life, and when everything is revealed Fury will do whatever it takes to protect her, although there are greater threats than they imagined, this will not stop them from fighting for their lives and what they feel. What a fantastic way to end a Series that has been explosive and full of unexpected twists, where the author leaves open the door to a new series that I can't wait for. This story is perfect, full of twists, suspense, action and among all sweet moments and with characters that you will fall in love with, I enjoyed this story immensely and I couldn't put it down once I started, if you haven't I recommend that you give it a try to this Series, you won't regret it. Highly recommended! *Thanks to Bella Jewel and Valentine PR & Literary Management for my ARC. I voluntarily leave my honest review*
¡Altamente Recomendada! *Gracias a Bella Jewel y a Valentine PR & Literary Management por mi ARC. Dejo voluntariamente mi reseña honesta*
The final book in this series, along with the promise of a follow on book and series is riveting reading, with emotions that are off the chart. How you can even think of a sweet, innocent, primary school teacher coming together with a rough, tough biker and his MCC is on its own just about as far from anything you could ever imagine, yet Bella Jewel has done just that.
Alexis has a new child in her class, Hope. Hope's mother has been sent to prison, now she is the care of her uncle Fury, a rough, tough biker who has not even a glimmer of knowledge on raising a child. Alexis is horrified by this and even more so when Fury tells her that he expects her to bring Hope home and then help her with her homework. Whats clear from the start is that Alexis and Fury have an explosive chemistry between them, but Alexis is married and Fury is not about to commit to anyone!! If only it were that easy. Alexis is married to an abusive husband, Fury quickly picks up on that but Alexis's pre-conceived ideas that bikers, MCC's, are criminals and not to be trusted.
It's easy to see where this book is going to go, but the route getting there has twists and turns you just won't see coming. At the start Alexis is broken, nervous, dis-trusting, quick to judge (not always correctly). Fury is loud, brash, head over heels into Alexis, but blind to how fragile Alexis's thoughts, emotions and feelings are. All of which leads to mis-communications, mis understandings and an avalanche of events and aftershocks that you just don't know how they can end.
One things for sure you will go through the mother and father of all the emotions you possible could feel and some you didn't know existed. I also love how the ending of this series is not an ending but more of an opening of books and a series to come. I can't wait !!
It’s now Fury’s turn to get his woman and his HEA. Fury is the Vice President of his MC. He’s touch, rough and unapologetic. He lives his life exactly how he wants. With his club and different women. A wrench gets thrown into his carefree life in the form of an adorable five year old little girl. Hope is sister’s daughter. Fury suddenly finds himself a guardian to her. Alexis is a teacher at the local school. She likes her job and absolutely loves her kids. Each one fills her life and gives it meaning. More some when shy sweet Hope is assigned to her class. Alexis takes a special interest in her and wants her to feel welcomed. But when Hope comes to school with no lunch and no socks a couple of days in a row, Alexis is having none of that and demands to meet her uncle. Enter Fury in all his glory. Yeah lives are about to change and upheaval is coming. I loved the suspense and tension going on in the story. Omg it kept me on pins and needles almost throughout the book. At times a was literally holding me breath and reading as fast as I could to flip to the next page to see what was going to happen. I really loved this whole series. It’s been amazing reading the different books on the MC brothers. And now I’m so excited and looking forward to reading Ellie Mae’s book and everything else Ms. Jewel has in the works. ❤️
Book five in Bella Jewel’s Prisoners of Purgatory series brings readers the story of Alexis and Fury (Ford). Each books follows a different couple and can be read as a stand-alone.
When school teacher Alexis get a new student in her class who turns up with no lunch, or socks on, she requests a meeting with their guardian. That’s when she first meets Fury, who’s recently been taking care of Hope, the shy new student Alexis has quickly grown fond of. Spark fly between the pair but Alexis is married, and she’s harbouring secrets, secrets that could get her killed. It doesn’t take long for Fury to worm his way under Alexis’s skin, and vice versa, he quickly becomes protective over her, but nothing goes further than a kiss between them which Alexis feels guilty over.
It’s isn’t until one night when things come to a head that things change for Alexis and Fury, secrets are revealed that have Fury promising he’ll do everything in his power to protect Alexis. But what happens when bigger forces than Alexis’s husband and their secrets come into play? Trust me when I tell you, you’re going to want to read this book in order to find out.
A great storyline with some amazing characters go towards making this a fantastic addition to the series, one you don’t want to miss.
After being betrayed by her best friend Alexis is stuck in an abusive marriage with no way out. Her only solace is her job as a first grade teacher. When a new girl, Hope, starts in Alexis class she has no idea that this starts a series of events that will change everything.
Ford/Fury is vice president of the Prisoners of Purgatory Motorcycle Club and has just become guardian to his niece Hope. He’s never had to look after a child before and is struggling. When Hopes teacher demands he meet Hope needs he has other ideas and forces her to help, whether she wants to or not.
I’m new to Bella Jewel and this series. I am sure it would have been better to have read the other books in this series but Fury can be read as a stand alone without missing out on vital information.
I really enjoyed reading Fury as i love when a nice girl knocks an alpha to his knees and he can’t help but fall. Alexis and Fury butt heads over everything but this is just what Alexis needs in a strange way as she’s able to vent her anger from her marriage on Fury as an outlet and Fury seems to like getting Alexis all worked up. From the outside you wouldn’t think a teacher and a member of a motorcycle club make sense but these two were just meant for each other.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
This is the story of Alexis and Fury or Ford. She is a school teacher who is getting a new student in her class. Hope is a really shy and comes to school with now lunch or socks on her feet. This is very concerning for her and she knows that she needs to meet with Hope's Uncle who is raising her. When Fury shows up at the school sparks are flying all over the place between them. However, Alexis is married and a woman who is carrying so many secrets I don't see how she really carried them all. However, these are not your average secrets. They are the kind that can get her killed. Alexis and Fury are polar opposites but I was living for the connection between the two of them. Fury is a protector and the women in his life are going to be protected and I really loved that about it. To see them all together will melt your hearts. We can't forget all the secrets though and watching those play out really had me on the edge at times. I loved this book so much. The characters really stole my heart and I loved every single second of this absolutely amazing book.
Fury by Bella Jewel is the fifth book in the Prisoners of Purgatory series and was soooo good! This is the first book I've read from Ms. Jewel and it for sure won't be the last! Her writing is unbelievable and her characters are realistic and multi-dimensional. I seriously can't wait to dive into her all of her pervious titles!
Without giving too much away-Alexis and Fury were everythinggggg! Their chemistry was pure fire! Alexis has been through so much in her life. She is not looking for anything except surviving. In walks Fury and he changes everything. Fury is a typical biker with a heart of gold. He tries to act aloof but I knew there was so much more to him. Their journey is not an easy one especially with trying to fight the feelings they have for one another. Fate steps in and changes the course of both of their lives. Forever.
I loved this book so much! It was full of emotions and so many ups and downs that I never saw coming. I adored the characters especially Hope. Highly recommend reading this book!
It’s been a while since I’ve read a Biker/MC book but I really enjoyed this one! It is a super quick and suspenseful read I finished it in one day. Fury is book 5 in the Prisoners of Purgatory series but can be read entirely as a stand-alone!
I’m all about the vibes while reading so I gave this book 4.25 ⭐️
I loved the action in this book, I’m a sucker for a damsel in distress and Fury was the perfect gruff anti hero to swoop in and save the day. This was my first book in this series and I honestly want to go back and read the others after this!
Overall I’d say it is about a 2.5/5 🌶️ with a slow burn to spicy payoff! I loved the tension and while the spice is not the focus I felt the few scenes provided were just the right amount to balance out the constant stress and action.
If you are looking for a quick read with 💜Age Gap 💜Forced Proximity 💜Anti Hero 💜Grumpy X Sunshine 💜Adult Romance 💜Spice 💜Band of Brothers 💜Slow Burn
Fury didn’t sign up to become a fill-in father, or uncle, or biker dad, or whatever it is you want to call yourself. Alexis Parker is trying to survive her current relationship without getting involved with Fury.
Read the trigger warning before reading this book for Domestic Violence and Miscarriage. I enjoyed this book Alexis relationship with Hope was so heartwarming. Poor Alexis she is doing her best to survive such a vile man. I would have given him a little shove off a cliff if I had the chance. Fury presents himself as such a jerk, however he has the best intentions for both Hope and Alexis. I enjoyed the characters in this book both main and supporting. When Fury and Alexis have to engage with each other it was both funny and steamy. You could feel Alexi’s struggle and anxiety on the page when she interacted with her husband. Great book would recommend.
This is my first book by this author and I was able to find my feet quickly and fall into this story. Although I’m sure there are connections to earlier books and more details about the couples from the previous books, I was able to follow all the dynamics that I needed to know and even though this was my first meeting with Fury aka Ford, I had enough hints at his introduction and role in the other books that I was able to understand how he fit with Alexis and see how she brought out not just his protective side but also his caring side. Hope, Fury’s niece, was a wonderful way of bringing the two together and showing that these two, even despite their differences, always had her best interests at heart.
A WORD OF CAUTION: Please read the trigger warnings because this is a Dark Romance that presents Domestic Abuse and Miscarrage head on and at times the reality of it strikes hard and deep.
This is the fifth book in this phenomenal series, and this is Fury / Ford and Alexis’s story. The is haunted by demons and is in an awful situation, and the only pleasure she gets is teaching her 1st grade class. When Alexis gets a shy new student Hope, she is concerned when she comes to school with no socks or lunch, and she contacts her guardian, Ford. Ford is guardian to Hope and is bringing her up with the help of his MC brothers. From the moment that Ford and Alexis meet, the sparks fly. Can Ford keep Alexis safe and protected? This is a well written story which is an action packed, emotional roller coaster with angst, secrets, suspense, family, friendships, romance, and love, which leads to an entertaining and addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Oh, this book will leave you with the love of children. Fury has received custody of his niece, he knows nothing about children and didn't sign up for this. But he will do the best that he can. When the teacher for her class starts to call him out on his crap well there are about to be sparks. And not the good roll-in-the-bed kind, but the butt-kicking kind. Alexis is such a beautiful soul and an amazing teacher, however, her home life is not what it seems and when Fury gets involved it's about to get worse. Alexis knows that her life is not hers, but she can't take much more of it. Her husband is abusive and she fights every day. With the support from an unlikely biker group, she's about to see a different side of herself. Though this is not all black and white and you are about to find out why.
3.5 - 4 Stars!!! Fury is finally up for his HEA and........ Gosh darn it!! I wanted to love Fury but instead I found myself in a love/dislike relationship with him. One minute I loved his whole take no BS / Alpha let me protect you vibe and then next minute he would open his mouth and say things that made me stabby. I was like why Fury????
My heart ached for poor Alexis and all she had been through. Some people in her life needed a serious throat punch. I adored the little relationship she formed with Hope and was so happy for her that she got a found family and HEA after she deserved.
Fury and Alexis's journey that was riddled with banter, suspense, twists and turns, steam and action had me feeling all the feels..... everything from happy to swooning to incredibly frustrated and angry.
It was definitely a ride!! (Check the trigger warning before reading)
Alexis thought at one time she had the perfect marriage until tragedy hit and her husband since then has been blackmailing her to stay with him. The abusive relationship only gets worse. Alexis's only peace is when she is at school teaching first graders. A rewarding experience for her. When a new student is enrolled she becomes agitated due to the girls clothes and lack of food. Upon meeting Hope's Uncle Fury she swoons, but tries to turn a blind eye since she's married. With the help of VP Fury and Prisoners of Purgatory MC Alexis leaves her husband only to fall into the hands of a cruel and dangerous Marek. With her and Hope's lives on the line she will do whatever it takes to keep Hope safe Can't wait for Elle's story!!
4.5 stars. This has been a story filled with angst, intensity, heat and the central kindness of Alexis. Her meeting with Fury over the need to look after sweet little Hope, sets off a string of events which, by turn, terrify and bring needed protection into the beleaguered life of Alexis. For her, her job brings joy which is a contrast to the rest of her life, hence her need to make sure Hope is cared for properly. This book touches on such very sensitive issues which can be distressing, but, ultimately is about love. Fury and Alex's absdeserve their HEA though Alexis particularly has a tough road to ach6it. Great read, great MC series, with strong central characters and a sweet, delightful little girl who deserves everything that is good. 💖💖💖💖💖
This was an incredible series, and I'm bummed that it's over. Alexis Parker is a first-grade teacher. One morning when one of her students arrives with no socks or lunch, she calls a meeting with her guardian. When Fury (Ford) shows up, Alexis is all sorts of flustered and not sure what to think. Poor Fury has never been around kids and is doing the best that he can to raise his niece, along with his MC. Alexis has many secrets of her own, not to mention she is married. But she can't seem to stop the pull that Fury has on her. This book was so good, it's fast paced, suspenseful, and action packed. It's an easy read that flows very well. I loved the plot, along with the characters. If you haven't checked this series out yet, you really need to.
So I liked this more than the last book, but it’s still nowhere near as good as the first two books. Just felt like it peaked there as never really matched those first stories.
It was really quick, not much relationship development again but at least you could see a little why they liked each other.
It’s been a bit of an odd series as it’s an MC but you don’t really see a lot of the club dynamics or meet many of the other characters, like apart from them visiting the club and saying they’re bikers you wouldn’t really know.
I’m still glad I finished this series, I just think there was a lot of potential in these stories that didn’t come out.
Also Marek is gross and if he gets any sort of redemption Ark I’m kicking off!
✨Review✨ *** Fury was so good. It was full of sadness and fear. I loved Alexis. She was so strong and brave. Fury was a bit of a jerk but always made up for his mistakes. I loved the story and the twists. These characters weren't perfect but they did a great job owning up to their mistakes. The story was easy to read and addictive. I needed to know how it ended from the first chapter. I enjoyed seeing previos characters and getting some of the unanswered questions from previous books answered. *** Stars: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Spice: 🔥🔥🔥 Romance: 🩷🩷 *** Thank you to Bella Jewel and Valentinepr for the ARC to review. ***
Just finished Fury by @bellajewelbooks it's a dark sort of romance novel. I'd check the Tigger warning ⚠️ before reading as there are seens of kidnapping and Domestic violence. This book shines a light on how difficult it really is to leave a DV relationship. Now for the review: Alexis is stuck in a loveless marriage and is a victim of DV she wants to leave but she's stuck. Her husband who is a slime ball has information on her that could get her in trouble if used. Alexis is a teacher of Littles and she loves her job. When a new student Hope arrives Alexis has her work cut out for her. Without spoling the book I'll leave it here its a good read and can be read as a standalone.
