The firefighter next door is a spark in my life I never saw coming. For seven years, my life has revolved around one raising my spirited little sister, Brittney. Dating is on the back burner, at least until she graduates. But when Scott, the cute next-door neighbor, bursts into my world, everything changes.
His adventurous nature lures me out of my comfort zone Scott’s kindness, to Brittney and me, melts my guarded heart. He sees past my tough exterior and challenges me to let go and live.
But Scott holds a secret that connects us in ways I could never imagine. His life is filled with danger where any call could be his last. And Brittney is my main priority. If I let him extinguish my fears, then maybe we can create a love story worth telling. And if I can’t, I could lose him forever and let these flames of love burn out before they truly begin.
This was so cute and fast paced, loved it. Mariah suffered a tremendous loss and is taling care of her sister for a few years now. She didn't want any relationships but life doesn't work that way. She and Josh meet and she tries to resist but to no avail. Josh really liked her and got scared after they kissed because he didn't want her to lose him too if something happened at his job. Thank God he changed his way of thinking because they were so good together
This story is full of happy times and scared times, it's knowing you found your other half. This book is about a connection between the next door neighbor and the girls sister he once saved. This book helps the main character get out of her comfort zone, and shows her she doesn't have to put her life on hold. Truly an amazing book.

A great dual pov, clean romance. It’s hard not to fall in love with these characters. Mariah is an older sister who is the guardian of her younger sister after a tragedy that took both their parents. She finally worked up the courage to move back into her childhood home with her sister. Scott is the firefighter next door who is also Mariah’s little sisters coach. Even in tough circumstances and emotional baggage they both have to work through, a beautiful friendship emerges and may just turn into something more.
The story and plot itself was great! Loved it! It was a super sweet romance story!
The set up and execution was well done.
The characters were a delight to read and were overall enjoyable. However there were so many points I hoped that they would go into more depth with.
Plus Chance is so adorable and cute. I want him. XD
The main issue I found with it was it read more like a young adult romance(there was no tag suggesting it was young adult, if so I wouldn’t have picked it up - so take this with a grain of salt). The prose was a little too consistently short. Sentences were simple so it didn’t read as fluidly as possible for me. There was also a lot of jumping around time wise, meaning that the most of story felt like it was just a collection of scenes with less soft build ups into the scenes. Which didn’t allow a smooth transition for me personally.
Also there were a few things repeated in a way where it seemed like it was unintentional and missed, a minor issue if you read the book over time but I usually read in one sitting so it took me outta the story more than once.
Just not my preferred reading style. I’m sure a lotta people will enjoy this book though!.

Mariah finally found the courage to move back into her childhood home with her younger sister, Brittney. Scott, a firefighter, had purchased the home next door. They met when he kicked in her kitchen door after smelling smoke. Mariah had raised Brittney since the death of their parents seven years before. Now Mariah is working hard to make this into their “new-old home”. But can she overcome her fears and prejudice against first responders to open her heart to love? This book by Bella Greene is an interesting work featuring three loveable characters (four if you include Scott’s dog, Chance). Each of us must at one time or another conquer the fears that hold us back from reaching our potential. Perhaps Mariah’s story will help you see a way to overcome your fears. Remember, an elephant can be eaten, one bite at a time. Thank you, Bella, for giving me this book. I enjoyed it greatly and gladly leave this review.
Mariah and her 14 year old sister, who she is now a guardian for, move back to their family home, seven years after losing their parents in a car accident that Brittney survived. Scott is a fireman living next door and their meeting is via a grease fire in their kitchen. He is also a coach for Brittney and her team so there will be contact. Slowly they start to open up, move out of their safety zone and learn it is okay to live. Great characters, matchmaker dog and little sister are highlights, chemistry, and personalities. The storyline was heartwarming as feelings rise and bonds grow stronger. Can Mariah change the way she feels about firemen in general? Can Scott get past the walls around her heart? Totally enjoyed the book.

Mariah is still struggling with the lose of her parents and being guardian to her sister Brittney. Deciding to move back into the family home isn't easy but is necessary. Scott is a fireman who lives next door, he also coaches the school team in his spare time. Meeting each other when Mariah starts a small grease fire and he helps to put it out safely. They both feel an attraction, until Scott finds out her parents died in a serious car accident. Hiding the truth isn't easy can these two build a relationship or will the truth come out. This is an easy to read story and creates a budding friendship and maybe more. The characters are believable and friendly. I recieved this as an ARC copy and this is my own honest review of this book.

Falling For The Firefighter Next Door is a fairly short stand alone book with a hea.
Mariah and her sister Brittney finally move back to their family home. It doesn’t take them long to meet the next door neighbour Scott. All three characters are wonderful, they are genuine and have a real depth. The storyline is easy to follow and well developed. I particularly like that the issues they have are not glossed over but are addressed and dealt with over time. Although this is not a long book there is enough content to make it seem like a much longer book. I really enjoyed this book and definitely recommend it.
Loved this story. Mariah and Scott were destined to meet 7 years after the accident where, Mariah's parents were killed and Scott saved Brittany. A heartwarming story of overcoming a tragedy and finally moving on with her life. Enter the hot fireman neighbor, he get her out of her shell and back to herself.

She moves to her parents old home He sees smoke coming from her house and rushes in to out it out!! Just as she is about to throw water on a grease fire!!! She does not like firemen — feels like they allowed her parents to die. Seriously a good book — an author raising her sister . . . and a firefighter.. LOVED IT!! I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All thoughts and comments are my own.
Firefighter Scott and blogger Mariah live next door to each other. Seven years ago, Scott pulled Mariah's sister Brittney from a car involved in a pileup on the highway just before the car exploded. This story is a rollercoaster ride of the love story that blossoms between Scott and Mariah, ending in a HEA. Very highly recommended.

Mariah and her sister Brittany live next door to Scott the firefighter. Mariah learns that Scott is the person who saved her sister when she was in the car with her parents when hit by a semi. She has spent the last 7 years raising Brittany and has avoided anything else except her job avoiding dating. She is attracted to Scott who becomes Britany's coach at school. Scott asks Mariah on a date and Brittany encourages both of them to take a chance on love.
This book is a whole vibe!!! I loved every. single. thing. about this book! Ms. Greene is a new to me author and she did not disappoint with this one. The cover is adorable, this is what draws me in as a reader. I am a huge fan of dual POV, so this book was right up there for me! Plus it was fast paced, which left me wanting more! Let’s not forget the banter between the characters! I might’ve woken up the mister with my laughter. I love, love, love this book!
I had to DNF this. And the idea is cute like hunky fireman saves her from a fire aw love that, but the writing feels really young and is so simplistic that I’ve completely lost interest. I got 44% in and there’s not really tension or butterflies or any sort of connection building. So sorry, wanted to love it and I’ll probably try another one of hers at some point, but this was just not my cup of tea.
Mariah and Scott and Brittany and Chance...Mariah has spent the last seven years taking care of her sister Brittany after their parents die in an auto accident. Scott is a firefighter and a self-confessed adrenaline junkie. Who's Chance? Chance the Dalmatian is our firefighter's best friend. Can Mariah and Scott overcome their fears to see what a great family they'll make?
Mariah has cared for her younger sister Brittney since their parents were killed in an auto accident years ago. Single, good-looking firefighter Scott lives next door with his dog Chance. It's interesting to read Scott's take on being a firefighter. This is a sweet story of allowing fun and love into your life.
This is a delightfully sweet, feel good, small town romance. This was such a good story line and I loved the characters. It's an enjoyable, easy read with a wonderful HEA I absolutely loved!.

This was such a beautiful story! I fell in love with this Firefighter! Love this chemistry throughout the book! I loved the storyline and all the side characters throughout really brought the story along. This is a great way to keep me reading!
When Mariah and her sister moved back.into their parent's home 7 years after their deaths., Scott was a next door neighbor. He was also Britain's coach. He soon became much more. But he was afraid of commitment. CV
The issue I have is that Scott has sisters and a mom that are mentioned in the book. However, at big events, they are never mentioned at being there. He gets promoted to Captain; his middle school girls he coaches are there, but not his immediate family. Really???
