Second chance with a Cowboy crush

Marie left her hometown years ago, after never being able to forgive herself for the death of a friend. She'd also had a childhood crush on her brother's best friend, Zed, who had made it clear he would never be interested in her. When her aunt dies, her deathbed request is that Marie come back so she does, to find she's been left her aunt's part of the ranch. Unfortunately the rest of the ranch is owned by Zed.

Zed had always felt his best friend's sister was off limits so had tried to quash feelings when he realised she had them for him while at high school; but on seeing her come back he realises she's grown up, and they're not at high school anymore. But with his reputation for being a playboy and an ex who doesn't want to lose him can he have a chance to make his business relationship with Marie something more?

A slow-build romance with brilliant chemistry between the main characters, drama, misunderstandings, light humour and a lovely HEA.

When Marie lost her best friend in a swimming accident, she felt that the whole town blamed her so when she became of age she moved from her hometown. Now she is back in town as the final request of her deceased aunt and when she learns that she has left her portion of the ranch to her to do with as she pleases, it places Zed in a bind one that he is frantic about. Will he be able to get Marie to stay on town and will their feeling s for each other lead them to a happily ever after.

Marie left town as soon as she could but when her aunt dies she finds out that her last request is for Marie to come home. So she does. But she doesn't want to see the man that Co owned the ranch with her Aunt because he broke her heart in high school after hearing Marie say that she had a crush on him.
But then she finds out that her aunts request wasn't just for her to come home. But that she left her half of the ranch to her. But there are stipulations that put her and Zed working very close together.

This was a very good read and did have some spice sprinkled throughout. The story with Zed and Marie is intriguing and starts from the very beginning. There is tension in the relationship due to their past and Marie being Zed's best friends younger sister. The way Greg reacts when he finds out is to be expected, especially since Zed is known as a heartbreaker. I enjoyed the book and story.

I absolutely loved this book! It was an amazing read and I loved how we got to see the characters progress and their chemistry grow. While it is a fade to black, it does have its cute little spicy moments. Overall it is an amazing book and a wonderful read.

What a thing for someone so young to go thru no wonder she feels the way that she does about the town. I can't believe he said what he said to her all of those years ago. No wonder she has a hard time trusting him. He himself seems to have gone thru so much in his life. I look forward to seeing what the future brings for them.
