This was an interesting mystery with the local police being unhelpful. I did lose my patience with Madeline and her weird determination to make people around her happy. It was great to see a different psychic skill to the usual. Easy to read, feel and understand. This story had a little mature content at the very end.

Madeline has a unique gift I enjoyed, she just has to harness it. Nate and Brody don't know what to think of her. As usual they get in some sticky situations and have to keep moving around. Terk is on the phone with Riff when he's interrupted by Gage, Bullard has a problem he needs help with. He's hired a nurse, but she missed her flight from Paris, and no one has heard from her. It seems she may have some healing abilities and if she goes with Terk's group or continues on to him after this, Bullard just wants to know she's safe.
Terk contacts Nate Worthington, and we meet him as he's stuck with weather delays at the airport. He's distracted by a feeling he's being watched and that's when we see him joined by Brody who takes him to a private plane.
I got quite the kick out of Terk and Brody getting Nate to open his mental door to telepathy, even as I felt sorry for the impact it had on Nate.
We meet Madeline as she wakes in a hotel room, tied up and with another woman who is similarly tied. When she wakes, we learn her name is Anna. The two of them go over what they remember and find they may have been on the same bus heading to get coffee before heading downtown. In a strange set of events, an unmasked man enters the room. He unties them so they can use the facilities and then leaves them. The next morning, they are able to get out when housekeeping comes to the door. Madeline wants to call the police, but Anna just wants to go home, which she does.
Madeline contacts Bullard letting him know she's stranded with no id, passport or money. He lets her know Nate and Brody are on their way to her.
When they get to her, they convince her to get checked out at the hospital and then start the process to get her passport. They also purchase a phone for her. She isn't happy about the prospect of another hotel room but agrees. Then a body shows up in the hotel they left.
They stay with Madeline as she is taken in to be interrogated. Brody leaves to do some things but Nate doesn't leave her side.
Although her story gains credibility, the investigator still has doubts. Nate does more research into the hotel's security tapes and locates Anna. He finds far more than he bargained for as he continues through the tape.
Then yet another body shows up. This one has even more surprises in store for them.
Plenty of twists and turns, danger, suspense, and a growing attraction between Madeline and Nate.
I love the way Terk is growing his team, and I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

Nate Worthington is considering an offer to join Terk's ever expanding team of guardians. Terk's Guardians are a team of highly trained ex military personnel, each with their own unique, psychic skills.

Another exciting story of the wonders of Terk and his team!
Lucky for Madeline that Nate and Brody found her just in time, with Terk’s help, before her kidnappers took her again.
A sinister plot for sure to force an innocent woman to be a mule to unknowingly transport illegal items across borders and then they disappear without anyone the wiser as to what happened to them.
Nate and Brody quickly figure out what has happened and spend a good deal of time hiding Madeline while outrunning the bad guys searching for her. Things become deadly when all witnesses are turning up dead.
I enjoy the suspense and danger. Madeline, while frustrated about her innocence, still takes things in stride and trusts Nate and Brody’s methods of hiding and researching what is going on. The police are no help, almost against them, trying to blame Madeline for her participation in the events.
Filled with danger, many twists and turns trying to identify and locate the enemy makes this story exciting and hard to put down. The attraction between Nate and Madeline is slow to become more, but it comes at just the right time. Love it.

Madeline had a layover in Paris and disappeared, so Terk sent Nate and Brody to try to find her. In addition to being a nurse, Madeline is also an energy healer and later they learn she also has another gift.
Once Madeline is able to escape from her kidnappers, the danger escalates for her and the other two people she saw while in captivity. There are plenty of questions as to why she was taken, and it takes a while before any answers are forthcoming. In the meantime, the police are suspicious that she may involved in a couple deaths.

I really enjoyed reading Nate . Nate is trying a job for Turk to see if he wants to work with Turks group . All of the group have some kind of ability working with energy . He's assignment is to find and protect energy healer Madeline that was headed to Bullard in Africa for a job but never arrived . Madeline was taken in Paris where her flight had a layover . Waking in a hotel room after being drugged and held captive she managed to escape and she called Bullard for help . Nate is partnered with Brody come to her aid but soon find she's been targeted by a smuggling ring . Bodies are dropping and Madeline is in danger still while protecting her Nate and her grow close . They want a chance to build upon the bond the started . This story is interesting and intense and Suspenseful . I highly recommend taking the time to read .

Wrong place, wrong time?
Or are Madeline's "good vibes" used against her? Nate knows Madeline is an energy worker, a healer, but the better he gets to know her the more intrigued he becomes and the clearer the picture becomes...it may not have been a totally random kidnapping!
I like Madeline, she is an intriguing mix of accomplished energy worker and healer and an innocent member of the public, she knows she has skills and is happy to use them to help others....but she has no idea of the repercussions or that others may be able to use this against her. She sees the world with a happy hue and is shocked that people may use energy for nefarious gain.
Madeline brings a lot of new possibilities to the table and even Terk is surprised by some of her innocent revelations.

Madeline is a nurse whose special powers have her being recruited by Terk’s team. The only problem is that other people have a different plan for her which results in her being abducted and held with another woman. They manage to escape, and Nate is there to assist however the danger is far from over.
Nate has been sent to help Madeline extricate herself from the situation she finds herself in. Not only do law enforcement find her story suspicious, but events unfold around her fellow hostage that only create more questions as they need to uncover the truth before it is too late.
This story finds a great balance between action, intrigue and romance that will keep you guessing until the end.

I live the suspense and as usual the police are no help at all while all three navigate to somewhere safe. Filled twists and turns with them trying to identify the enemy makes this book hard to put down. There is attraction between the two but it’s not a quick attraction as some books are, but it’s a slow build up over the story. Great book can’t wait for more.

Madeline is kidnapped in France while enroute to work for Ballard. Terkel sends Nate and Brody to rescue her. Anna was also kidnapped and held hostage at the same time. The two women escape together, and Anna goes her own way. When Nate and Brody catch up with Madeline, they find out that Anna has been murdered and the two women were kidnapped by a group that is smuggling diamonds. The three of them work together to find the members of the group.

Madeline going to a new job but ends up kidnapped sees her teaming up with Nate who is also starting a new pathway. (4.5) Madeline is a healer with a twist. Nate isn't sure he wants to work with Terk. When Madeline goes missing on her way to Africa Terk and Brody are sent to find her. Madeline is on her way to see Bullard about a job when she is kidnapped. She has no idea why she has been taken. Bullard contacts Terkel who sends Nate to find Madeline. By the time Nate arrives Madeline has escaped but she is still in danger. The two grow closer as they try to determine why Madeline was taken and who is still after her. This story kept me up very late as it grabbed my attention in the beginning and didn't let go. Really enjoyed the characters and the suspense. Usually I have things figured out but not this time. I loved how considerate Nate was about Madeline's feelings and fears.
Can't wait to read the next book about Janna who appears to have an interesting history and story to tell.

What started as an adventure takes a twisted and scary turn for Madeline when waking up in a strange situation. Lucky for her help is already on the way. Twists, turns, excitement and surprises with great characters and an interesting plot. Gripping, suspenseful story with plenty of action. Loved it and the gifts.

Madeline has the gift of healing along with making people feel better and happy. On her way to a job with Ballard she is kidnapped along with another woman. Turk sends Nate and Brody to find her. Who's behind the kidnapping and is the other woman a victim or in on it. And why did they take her? Lots of mystery and twists and turns with great characters.

great book
I love these books and can’t wait for the next one to come out. The stories are so good it’s hard to put the books down. This is a story of a woman who through no fault of her own was kidnapped and suspected of killing a man. She was on her way as a nurse to work at Bullards, but never made it. Really enjoyed the book and recommend it highly.

WOW. This five-star read just became one of my favorite reads of 2024!! With its scintillating storyline and cast of memorable characters, this bingeable edge-of-your-seat read captivated me from the very start. Dale Mayer is an exceptional storyteller. The drama, tension, and heat were perfect. Everyone who love romantic suspense needs to have this book in their library. Happy reading

She did it again!
I have never been disappointed by any of her books. No matter what series or subject she catches my attention and I can't wait for her next book. I love how her characters are changing and growing just like the castle (and the stomachs of all the women at the castle) .

The characters in this newest installment are as charming as all the others. Madeline is constantly surprised by the events leading to her kidnapping and how they all start to connect. Nate is charming and warm. I was constantly surprised by events in this book. Very well written.

I loved Madeline's character. Her energy, personality, makes this book a little different than the others in the series. This book is full of suspense and surprises as they work through her kidnapping.

Plenty of thrills, action, intensity, tension, twists, danger and suspense to enjoy once this gripping read has you in its fierce hold. Nate and Madeline were easy to like and had solid chemistry that you could really feel.

I enjoyed the twists on who is a bad guy versus from the beginning and the slow build between Nate and Anna as well as them both opening themselves up to really acknowledging their gifts and also a future.

Awesome book. There was a lot of interesting things going on. The kidnapping, smuggling and intriguing action. I would recommend this book to action readers as well as mystery readers.
Awesome book. There was a lot of interesting things going on. The kidnapping, smuggling and intriguing action. I would recommend this book to action readers as well as mystery readers.
