I was a nobody until my diving team conquered the first two dungeons in the Path of Progression. And now? I’m famous. Throughout Aspatria, everyone knows my name, and they’re all talking about just how powerful our team can become.
My enemies are taking notice too. After defeating the fabled Slayer in the second dungeon, I know someone is waiting to take their revenge on me. I need to watch my back as we set our sights on the next two dungeons. I also need to make sure my team of ass-kicking beauties continues to develop too, especially when a girl from my past shows interest in joining us.
It’s not going to be easy, but if I wanted easy, I would have just stayed home.
Join me now for the next book in the Dungeon Heroes saga!
Hey there! I'm Shane, and I love writing fantasy. I've been reading fantasy all my life, and I've always wanted the chance to tell the stories that I wanted to share. So here I am! With my stories, you can expect a fleshed-out and detailed world full of interesting characters that you can't help but root for. Thanks for checking me out, and I hope you enjoy my work!
Firstly, I’d like to say I did enjoy the book although I’m not sure if I’ll be continuing the series yet it will definitely be on hold for a while. For me personally I found there were several times throughout the book where I found myself frustrated and mentally shouting out at obvious answers and the plot progression. In my opinion this could have easily been a 4 or 5 star book if the plot gaps could have been closed up a bit more and the magics (I’m looking at you healing light) balanced a bit.
A somewhat expected, but still fun continuation of the series. More combat. More monsters. More bullies. More sex. More harem. Big "super-surprising" bad guy was not at all surprising. Still an enjoyable read, and probably more of a 3.5, but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt and round up.
Predictable best describes this rather weak story. It had good potential, but just turned out to be mediocre at best. The MC and his team hop into bed, level up, fight advesaries and get betrayed by the one they trusted most.
Bla bla bla.
Entirely predictable. The worldbuilding is unrealistic, where novice dungeon divers can resurect and heal all wounds provided it is within a few minutes. They buy some spells, but others manifest as part of the leveling process. They have to get a license to dive the 5 dungeons in the country and this team tears through the first 4 at breakneck pase despite assassins, travel time, etc. Most adventurers need to go through each dungeon multiple times, over years, as they level so they are prepared for the next and more difficult dungeons. This team waltzes through the dungeons "successfully", in a few months, though they each get "killed" off multiple times along the way. They are unprepared for poor lighting, climbing, water traps, aquatic challengers (which never manifest), or slogging through mud. Also anoying, though more realistic that I like to admit, the MC and this team get caught up in reacting to their advesaries' taunting. They cant look past the immediate anger to the bigger picture and consequences. They act like typical teenagers in other words.
I finished the 2nd book but I think I'm done. I already know that Rico is a narcissistic betrayer. Hes unlikely to be the head honcho but at this point its not worth the effort of slogging through another book to find out who is the real mastermind villian.
So - this is the kind of poorly-thought-out stuff that I assumed all LitRPG would be, plus a strange horny erotic overlay. But it is advertised as that so.. 3 stars but only if you know what you want. I don't know, I guess I listened to two of them from the audible get. I will say that I don't understand the underlying system at all, he's a front line warrior, but mostly casts spells and I don't know. Everyone gets lots stats in everything as they advance because I guess why not? Not sure I understand the world around it all either. But I must feel something about it, because I'm still typing this review for absolutely no reason.
The first book the party has completed the first two dungeons of the five dungeons in the path of progression. Each dungeon gets harder as you get closer to the fifth dungeon in which only one dungeon group led by Rico have ever completed it. In the first book it becomes apparent that someone doesn't want the group to succeed and has paid for them to die in the dungeon. Unfortunately all attempts by this assassin have failed and has only made the group stronger. The person behind the assassin has tasked another dungeon family, bringing them out of retirement, with killing the group in the dungeon. A new member is added to the group, bringing the group to five. My only complaint with the book is there are only five dungeons, by the end of this book four dungeons have been conquered. I know that there are six books in this series but only one dungeon left to conquer. I guess I'll have to wait to see what happens next.
I'm enjoying the story line. I'm enjoying the characters for the most part. I'm not enjoying all the inconsistencies. The fact that the most experienced member has to be reminded that she has the ability to find trap doors for instance. That they're not stopping to pick up loot and the dungeon isn't dropping any weapons or other charms. Then there's where buying a ability will just about wipe out his savings but he can help pay for monsters to be brought in to practice on. And didn't going into a safe zone mean you have to give up the quest. The fact he didn't give his mother any money to help her out bugs me too. The editor has got to pick a lane and try to stay in it
Love the series so far but I fear it’s just going to be a trilogy. Wonderful world building and characters deserve many more books. As I see it, there is dungeon 5, toppling “K”, rebuilding, (as I do not see “K” failing to inflict serious damage to the current status quo) and expanding to other nations/dungeons. It would be nice to have a progression series end not with the MCs becoming the strongest, but with them having laid the groundwork for future generations to surpass them.
That was the embodiment of a sequel, bigger, badder, better than the original with a great plot twist at the end.
On the technical side there were a few spelling errors that interrupted the story flow but again just a few.
On the story side, Jeremy was an idiot. When purchasing a new spell he should have gone back and purchased the money changing spell for the 2k gold. Also and this really bugs me. With all the gold he made why didn't he help out his mom. She's still working 2 jobs in poverty.
A good continuation of the story, but there were times where I almost put the book down. Some of the crude terms used in intimate situations were distracting. The mix of technology in this world is also... Odd, incongruous. Some of the skills and stats were not explained well. Charisma, what does it even do in this world? I know what it's supposed to do. But no mention of it here or any of the other stats improving as the characters grow. Frustrating.
Jeremy an his team the Daredevils push to win it all defeating the 5 dungeons
Jeremy continues to level up an defeat the 5 big dungeons only one left to go already defeating the first 4 dungeons . Jeremy adds a fifth member to his team his neighbor next door to his house . Jeremy an his team continues to grow getting ready for the last push an the last dungeon .recommend reading excellent series .
Logical progression from book one. What did bug me a bit were the scenery-chewing villains and the monologuing big baddie; I called that one in book 1, as much of a spoiler as I'll drop here. This one looks like it can wrap up in 3 books and I can stick around for book 3. After that it'd be milking it, but it doesn't look like the author(s) feel a need to go that far with this series.
The true enemy is finally exposed preparing us for an explosive book three. I am enjoying the story and the MC’s progression romantically as well as the pace he is powering up. Not much more can be said without spoiling the story. I greatly enjoyed reading the book and will head into book three next.
Jeremy and his harem have conquered 4 of the 5 dungeons on the path. They have battled minions sent by their hidden enemy that revealed himself, only to escape as he was facing defeat! Now they need to regroup and consider their next moves. I strongly recommend the series.
Another good episode , Jeremy really isn't the smartest , inside dungeons he's pretty competent but on several occasions the team almost died because they forgot powers they had but outside in the real world he's easy to provoke and has anger management issues , the big surprise at the end had been pretty obvious right from the start, what comes next should be interesting
I saw this coming but really was hoping I was wrong !!! A lot to unravel happens in this book and some seriously cool growth for the family in all parts!!! I can't wait to see what happens next!m!
Great storyline and action sequences. Characters were believable and were well fleshed out. Like book 1, this book was a fun read. Fewer grammatical and spelling errors also makes it easier to read. Looking forward to book 3.
A good continuation of the first book. The group is growing and getting stronger while the dungeons are getting harder and more dangerous. Like with the first book, the girl’s personalities make for a good read. Waiting for number three.
The plot is revealed and while somewhat predictable it's well written and still keeps you entertained. I look forward to the finale and their inevitable victory.
Good character development. Lots of action with a interesting plot twist. Progresses quickly making me wonder where it goes in the middle distant future. On to the third book!
The plot is absolutely fascinating and somewhat heartbreaking. The characters are so full of life and extremely likable. This is a wonderful series and an immense pleasure to read. Bring on Book 3!
I just finished book 2. I think I like the pace balancing with the events that's playing out the best. Also, I like that the women are skilled & can defend themselves. Looking forward to book 3.
I really enjoyed reading this book. It was fun and entertaining. The story and characters were incredibly interesting and engaging. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next. This book and series is definitely worth checking out.
Who the enemy was, I usually just leave stars, but I wanted to point out the major flaw. Otherwise a fine light read with a bit of vanilla on the side.
