Meh.

This is very same old, same old. Nothing new occurs, this just uses the expected occurrences to tidy up the story before moving to the next continent. Nothing bad with this one, but also nothing really entertaining either.

While the action and plot continue to be good, I feel this book particularly tried to do too many things too quickly. There were so many moving pieces of the story that I was surprised they were able to all be addressed in a shorter book. I definitely wanted more of each plot point but adding more may have detracted from the pace of the story. Overall not sure what could have been done differently.

Keith makes steady progress on Beastland but enemies pile up

Keith hasn’t forgotten his goal of removing the Alchemists Guild from Beastland, but his primary goal will always be killing the world monsters to rejoin his family.
That’s a tall order and along the way Keith keeps picking up highly difficult quests, including some world level quests. As he builds a guild on this continent, he works on his skills and gather the materials they will need to fight this continent’s world monster. He plans to go in fully prepared this time, as a Sage tactician should do. It will take work and some battles will have the added fun of assassins as one of the Spirit’s anger is directed at Keith. Sadly for that Spirit, another Spirit has given Keith the goal of removing Affluence’s meddling from this continent. Keith is the do or die type so this will only end with one of them being ‘removed’.

Another great great read, although I felt many of the skills and items were repetitive, and there was a comparative lack of power jumps except until the very end, as they say: don't fix what ain't broken; so the continuous action more than makes up for it. It is to be seen whether the future books keep on continuing with a similar trend or makes some significant changes to the story style. But nevertheless, I would surely be reading the next one.

On a side note, I am also quite curious as to why this book is not part of the series in goodreads!

Fast paced and a LOT happens

If a book was a cartoon character, then this book would be sonic the hedgehog. The author threw so many mini plots and continuous plots at us in this book. The important ones get resolved, but everything happened so fast. Hold on to your britches for this ride.

Also, still a lot of grammatical problems and spelling errors. He mentioned the name of a hob that took major damage who then died in the next paragraph. Same Hob, two names. I had to re-read that a couple times to make sure it was the same hob; it was... Sigh.

Good luck!

Another world monster going down

Gotta give it Oster, he doesn't let a plot line hadn't out for multiple books. It is kind of refreshing to read a story that efficiently deals with a multitude of quests in an efficient manner.

This book was more of the same for the series. Oster keeps the pace up and finds unique ways to keep the story intriguing. If you liked the previous books in the series, you'll enjoy this one. I did, and I'm looking forward to the next.

Good Read

Keith continues his journey with more of the same single minded killing we’ve come to expect. This is not a bad thing though as it remains a fun read with enough character development to keep things interesting. I appreciated the authors work to make Keith a bit less of a killer robot this time around and start to give him some empathy. Eagerly awaiting the next.

Jaded

Love these books like the women love Keith! Adventure and comedy is as awesome as Tac’s third cousin Dilbert! Really enjoyed the pace of the book and Bob’s total faith in world domination.

Aaron did it again

At times I feel a series can drag towards the middle, usually books 4 - 6. But Aaron ensures you get a great read and leaves enough of a cliff hanger to make you want to read 7.

good

I enjoyed the action and the characters. I’m liking the trend of three books per world monster that seems to be happening.
