Don Jensen is reeling from the death of his wife, Sarah, when he discovers a drawer full of artifacts she’d kept hidden an address book, a folder of old letters, a stack of photographs. As he begins to sort through these items and contact people from her past, another version of Sarah starts to surface, one plagued by demons Don never knew existed. While Don grapples with these revelations, Sarah finds herself in a realm where she cycles between heartbreaking memories and unusual, but not alway unpleasant, sensations. As her soul tries to heal from the pain of her past, a hopeful future emerges. Seeking Sarah is a novel about how life can break us down and grief can take us apart. But by confronting these aches, we can find a path to redemption, rebirth, and a brighter tomorrow.
What a beautiful book. The truth in the narrative expresses life, loving an addict and all the shades of love between. I was moved by the powerful gets simple plot, and how it pushes this man to unmasked the woman he loved, only to discover a deeper more profound love for her as she carried the burden of what caused her addiction. At one point, I was so emotional I had to pause and come back to the book. And it wasn’t because of emotions that were stirred up, it was because of the beauty and elegance of this journey. So glad I read it.
A well written story of past, present and a new beginning. At first you may be a bit perplexed with Sarah’s narrative. Keep reading as it will all fall into place and make sense. Let’s hope this will evolve into a sequel.
