Keep my Promises, Wed the Princess, Prevent a Catastrophe!
Imagine my luck when I'm transported to a fantasy world where magic is real, beautiful women are bountiful, and the Blessing of a Goddess creates endless opportunities. Yeah, it is one hell of a way to arrive. Unfortunately, I've got some work to do because my heroic actions just triggered the End of an Age.
With the help of some lovely new allies, we might just save the day or die trying.
I was debating whether to give this book a 3 or a 4, however I liked all of the minecraft references and Lego references at the end of the book so I decided to give it a 4. This is one of those books with an overpowering hero. It is also more of a young mans style where romance and building a relationship take a back seat in importance to sex. Plus its a young mans fantasy to be able to last for hours and exhaust every woman in your harem no matter how big the harem gets. The hero never really faces any overwhelming challenge, at least I never felt at anytime that he was in danger. I like the idea of a man who keeps his word. I think that every man should be a man of his word. It's an Isekai fantasy where our hero is met by the Liva the God of lust, sex, and love and is offered to come to this world instead of dying. He's to bring about the end of an age, build a harem, and ultimate release the God of magic who has been imprisoned by a mysterious force. I like the world building style. I didn't like how easy he was able to gain mastery of spells. If he can imagine it, he can get it, and having played lots of Dungeon style games before coming here, he can imagine a lot. Liva gave our hero an easy way to tell if a woman is a potential mate, she would have a blue halo that only he can see above her head. I think every man would like something like that. I think that he could have been a bit more descriptive of the women. He kinda left us to use our knowledge of what an goblin, orc, dwarf, etc looked like. Overall it is good value for the price.
SLOSS YOU GENIUS! I totally gave up hope for this man when I was reading the legendary lord series. I dropped it… I couldn’t get past 20%, this story though grabbed me and enthralled me! I absolutely truly loved this series!! The only thing I’m disappointed with is the ending. We could have gotten better closure with this series. I mean it was basically a novella at only 10 chapters… he could have gave us at least another chapter to answer questions and see how everything and everyone panned out. I almost took off a star for that but I decided to cut him some slack because I was literally put off this man’s work….now I’m a fan and will look to read other series by him. I’m truly hoping the legendary lord was a fluke… if his other series turns out this good I just may go back to the legendary lord and buckle down and see if it truly gets better. It was funny how his harem worked. I know it was silly, but I actually liked it and the girls were actually worthy of the harem. I wish some didn’t fall to the wayside but each kind of had their spotlight. I truly would have liked to have seen other things… meetings with the black drakoids, the trolls, the red drakes and dragons and their whole society as a whole. I think Sloss missed out on making the series longer and a true masterpiece. But it is what it is. I hope he does better with tiding things up in future series. Onward, lads!
Boring, absolutely no depth and a very annoying way of writing. While I like some books by this author, this book is just not for me. I made it to about 20% before giving up in annoyance. The idea is fun though generic; guy get's a quest to do stuff in another realm. The followup is less well done. It starts with the litteral mentioning of "the backstory of this world..." Ok...that is not something I'd expect in a book but fine. Then you get a bit about the world, so it's all pre-mentioned and the MC won't discover a lot like in other isekai. A futher annoyance is the very shallow interaction between characters. It's too quick, everyone wants to be the MCs friend for some reason, and more or less cries when it happens. Three pages on they can't wait to have sex, and it kind of comes out of nowhere. Well...that is most of the first 20%...ok, and 1 fight but that's it...

Overall an entertaining read, with continuity errors, lots of spelling/grammatical errors. The author seemingly couldn't decide what they wanted to name their one character as it kept switching between 'Yazga' and 'Vazga' which is quite annoying. The "spicy" scenes feel like they were written by a preteen who has very little idea about coitus and how it works, and most of the time are pretty cringy. For the love, if I read "f this little p**sy" one more time it'll be too soon.
Barring you can get past those problems the overall story is pretty good. Magic, swords, mystical creatures/races, and quests galore!
I have read several of Marcus Sloss's books and enjoyed them, but I stopped and restarted this one at least 4 times before I was able to finish it. The hero was too omnipotent, overcoming trials too easily. He was a "sex God", instantly wooing the women, and sex was frequent to the detriment of the story. Any problem the hero thought about for a few minutes and solved. It did have an interesting mix of isekai women and the girls brought some interesting powers to the mix that I would have wanted to see explored more by the women. All in all, I recommend other works by Mr Sloss
I would have given this book a five star review, but many of the pages were blank. The story would stop for two or three pages and then continue as if they had been there. I would have liked to be able to read those pages and have continuity to the story.
I really enjoyed this fantasy. The world building and storyline weave a tale full of magic and adventure that readers of any age can enjoy. However the erotic scenes will limit the enjoyment to 18+ readers.
The story was interesting, with a neat arc. The writing was very simple which made it a bit of a slog. There was no emotion anywhere and the women are all very unidimensional. I wish the characters matched the world building.
Good story flowed nicely. Adult stuff was well written, and I wish for a fourth book to truly finish the series. I know it's not going to happen, never does.
