I think most would agree that “Drive Like Hell” is a great looking comic thanks to Alex Cormac’s gritty, high-energy artwork. Every panel is beautifully well drawn and shaded, perfectly capturing the chaos of high-speed chases, blood-soaked violence, and supernatural chaos. Cormac’s art is the real star here, giving the story a sense of brutality and action that keeps the pages turning.
Unfortunately, the plot doesn’t match the same level of excitement. It’s a story that’s been done plenty of times before: outlaws on the run, demonic forces in pursuit, and a desperate struggle for survival. We’ve seen variations of this premise in everything from “Drive Angry” to “The Highwaymen” and even classic Faustian tales. While “Drive Like Hell” does deliver on action and its title, it rarely surprises, sticking too closely to well-worn tropes without adding much new to the formula. That’s not to say the book isn’t entertaining (it certainly has its moments of fun) but it’s hard to shake the feeling that it’s been done before, and done better. If you’re here for the visuals, you won’t be disappointed, but if you’re looking for a fresh take on this kind of story, you might walk away wanting more.

Demons drive demonic cars, right?
If that's true, then what do they do if their ride gets snatched away from them?

Bobby Ray (a wheelman) found this amazing car to use on his next heist, but the demon wants their wheels back. Better flex that lead foot, Bobby Ray! Almost all of creation is after the car and what was originally stolen.

Run, Bobby Ray, run!

A fast paced car chase as a demon tries to chase down Gabriel’s trumpet to end the world.

Some decent moments (the sleazy preacher selling merch and playing both sides). The car chase scenes were really well put together to show some wild chases but overall the story fell flat. A little too cheesy to be cool and a little too silly to work with any of the stuff that could be said about the Christian world.

I wouldn’t really recommend this one unless you’re really into cars

Im a sucker for old school car chase movies evocative of those. Had a very fun time reading and the art was top notch. Not to mention the mural at the end was quite touching. If you into cars or car movies, definitely pick this up and read it.

Short and sweet. Doesn't overstay its welcome, and it is fine for what it is. Not exactly my cup of tea, but I had fun reading.
