I started reading this series to make sure it was appropriate for my 10 year old daughter. The writing is meh for me, but okay for older kids. My daughter is reading them now and she loves them. I will admit (all of that said), I am invested in the story and am looking forward to reading the final book in the series.
Lots of typos and grammatical errors ,annoying when reading ,disturbed the word flow.seems a bit short on detail feels like was written in hurry .not so impressed.
I was looking forward to this one, especially after the cliffhanger of Book #4 but was disappointed with how this one sort of played out. Instead of a happy sisterly reunion between Taylor and Jane, we got one who was happy as the girls are also finally reunited briefly with their father and the other was an angry soul that wanted nothing to do with this family as in her mind she was abandoned. We also see a different side to Taylor's stepmother as in the earlier books, she is rude and abusive towards Taylor but in this book, she welcomes Taylor and Isabella with open arms and assists in helping protect them on their journey to track down Taylor's father. I feel that the only thing that would have been more amazing with this book, is if we had been given glimpses of Taylor's mother. Also by following this book, we learn that it seems Taylor's father was a Vampire which means that the Werewolf side must have come from Taylor's mother. During this book, we also have chapters from the Evil Overlord aka Director of the Bad Guys who wants the blood of the Blood Moon Hybrid and normal Hybrid as they are said to be the last pieces needed to open all six vaults on the islands and help unleash a nasty and powerful demon who has been lying dormant for centuries after his body was cut and hidden into pieces. If this demon were to come into existence, the world that everyone knows would be destroyed. I am looking forward to the next books as I hope Taylor and now Jane will head back towards the Wilderness Camp with their newfound knowledge and as hybrids help protect the demon from being unleashed and revealed as there are three more books in this series by Morgan Rice. Fans of the Shadow Falls series by CC Hunter will love Morgan Rice's Wish Series.
Spoiler: Interesting. The plot of Isabel being jane - Taylor’s sister, was a plot I definitely saw coming. I liked that they were sent away together and that they found their dad, but honestly it was a little underwhelming compared to previous books. However, I like the plot line of the bounty hunters linked to their childhood and why their memory was wiped. The guardian of wolves is so interesting so I hope he plays a part in later books. Plus Jesse being a seer is something I never saw coming!! Hope Kathleen wakes up and seeks her revenge on Susan!! Even though it was a filler book, it still was great
When Taylor is sent to a camp after being accused of attacking her stepmother, her only thought is running away. The camp is nothing like she expects and the book moves fast. The part continues with her and Isabella trying to find answers. Lots of information is revealed during their travels which will definitely effect everyone. Meanwhile the camp is under attack. I like the characters ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Storyline ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Twists ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (pretty predictable) Keeps you attention
In this book Taylor is taken to a place of safety and learns more about her past and what makes her who she is. Many questions are answered for her, some of these answers being quite surprising. With all the different things that happen to Taylor, the reader is left wondering what will happen next which, of course, leads to the next book in the series. This book also built more on the Taylor/Isabel relationship which added extra interest to the story.
Following the events of the first four books, we continue to explore Taylor's journey of self-discovery as a Blood Moon Hybrid and what that entails. Although she doesn’t learn a great deal, she does gain a bit more insight into why people fear her. This book focuses on Taylor learning her history and more about her family, and gets questions answered about her stepmother, mother, and father.
I don't think we really have any new characters in this book, at least none that I can remember, but we do get some questions answered that have come up in books 1-4. Of course, we have the loves, the friendships, the miscommunications, and the bloody battles. Can't have the children come out of the book without being maimed. Basically, this book focuses on Taylor's history and family, and there are lots of surprises in store for her.
While there’s plenty of danger and bloodshed, the overall tone remains consistent with the prior novellas in the series. The biggest complaint here is that the audio versions stop using a real person and use a Synthesized Voice. Though you can't tell too much, it's AI; it lacks emotion or changes in voice for each character like a human would. I guess with Indie books, you cut corners where you can, but losing an audiobook audience these days, when audio is soaring in popularity, is not the way to go.
I’m really enjoying this series, Taylor is slowly getting answers to her past & her long lost family. After being apart from her friends. She finds herself back with them on the islands. She’s reunited with Jesse. The characters development are excellent & the story is left again on a cliff hanger, Isobel has been kidnapped, the Prophecy of Evil is coming to light. Roll on the next book…
This storyline is so damn good! Each new twist and turn has me hooked! There is soooo many spelling mistakes though, atleast over 20 (I highlighted them). You can also tell it’s evidently written for young adults. Overall still really good if you can get past the errors.
This story has so much pain and anxiety in it. Not sure this situation has a lot of positive points towards it. So Ache is really what this part is all about. So be prepared for it. Onto the next part to see if life improves or continues down hill?
Another quick and easy read. The book ends on a cliffhanger but I don’t mind since I’m able to immediately start the next one. All I can say is I find Isabelle incredibly annoying lol
ache by Morgan Rice. I love how she eventually solved the risks of her dad's disappearance. But now there are so many more questions lol. Also great that Cathy was healed.
So far this series is ok. Pretty G rated as far as s*x goes. And a little bit of violence, could be more considering it’s about super natural creatures. For some reason this book (which I got as an ebook from the library) has a lot of typos. Also the writing doesn’t seem to be as “up to par” as other books. However I will keep reading to the end. It’s not a bad story line. They are a quick read and are helping my reading challenge get back on track. 😆
I was given an ARC of this book, #5 in this series and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I like Taylor because she is brave with a huge heart and always tries to do the right thing. Controlling her power is not easy and yet she is determined. There are plenty of other characters and I like the switches in points of view.
The writing style is fast-paced with an easy flow. It's engaging throughout and I like the various plots, mysteries, twists and turns.
