The continued journey through time will follow Jackson Odell as he tries to live with the ache of unrequited love. However, his heart is not left untouched for long when he meets a young man, a lycan, who will changes his ever-lasting life, and unintentionally absorbs Jackson's desire for love and affection.
Of the series. This was surprisingly my least favorite. The writing has elevated SO much since the first book, but the overall plot of this one was a bit lackluster. I found Ceaser and Jackson were a bit forced, and I know that's kind of the point, but even more so near the end. Dom forever has my heart and is bt far the best chatacter, despite Asiah's clearly being Hamilton lol. The outfit changes, always.
But overall. I found this was probably important to the world that Asiah is building ! And I'll finish the series because I'm committed.
The amount of just ridiculous God moding was so disappointing. Also the dismissal of the twins just to give the next book a plot I'm so sad I looked forward so much to this book and am fairly disappointed

2 stars is me being nice. How badly I wanted to DNF but the characters are so lovable I kept going. Disappointed that Jackson was turned into a weak horny teen in this book. 2nd book he was this strong protector that could hold his own. But now he was giving horny omega the entire first half of the book. Still wonder if he is even in love or forced to fall in love. So, their romance doesn’t feel genuine. He had better chemistry with Jeremiah. Doesn’t get good until you make it 70% into the book. I skimmed a good half of the book. You could prob skip the first half of the book and still understand what’s happening. Great characters but shitty plot. 2nd book has by far been the best one and 1st book second best. This one we will pretend never happened. Almost feel werewolves should have never been introduced to the plot. Should have kept it all vampire. Well get a gold star for trying.
I didn’t feel compelled to write a review for the other books in the series, because I believe that my problems with those books had already been echoed by other reviewers many times. I’m not sure why I read the first one, I think it was because I like Demesius enough to ignore all the grammatical and stylistic issues, then I stayed for book 2 because of Dominick (who is still my favourite character) and then I read this one because I thought to myself, “Why not? I’ve gotten this far.”
And, honestly? I’m glad I stuck around.
Your writing has significantly improved from what it was before. The plot lines made more sense, the characters were better thought out, your grammar is a lot better (though there were some mistakes that had me scratching my head at points) and it seems like you’re growing into your writing style.
Good for you 👏🏾👏🏾
Now, I do still have a few gripes with book.
1. Deus ex machina: I don’t how many time I rolled my eyes because of Madame Luana. I saw the vision but I feel like she just took a lot of the suspense away, because there weren’t any stakes. I mean why worry about your characters when you literally had a divine being there to fix your problems. I think you tried to fix this by making Caesar unable to contact her, but the she appeared again and I was left wondering what was the point.
2. Raiden going berserk. I have no idea what this did for the plot, like what was the point?
3. The twins 💀. Honestly, I had problems with them in the last book, but omg they were the worst in this. I really don’t know what they added to the plot. They were just weird and creepy. I hated them being with Jeremiah so much. I have no idea why they were allowed to live, when everyone knows they have an insane obsession with Jeremiah and probably will still terrorise him and Jackson once their sentence is over.
Overall, this wasn’t a half-bad read. Keep up the good work 👍🏾

The first two books in this series I am head over heels in love with. They were beautiful and gut wrenching at times. That being said this one fell a little flat for me and I'm super disappointed because I was looking forward to this one so much after the first two! I will say this did feel a little like a filler, that the events of this books were really just for the set up of book four. Honestly I'm just as excited for the fourth book as I was for the last releases.
