What a wildly fun and unexpected ride! Crowman: The Return of Mr Mosquito blends superhero action with a unique twist; it’s also a colouring book! Set in the darker corners of Melbourne, the story introduces us to Crowman, a goofy yet fearless protector who isn’t afraid to take on evil… even when it returns in the form of a bizarre villain from his past.
The humour in this book kept me entertained, and I loved the balance between action and light-hearted moments. Crowman is a quirky, memorable character. Imagine if Batman had a little less brooding and a bit more comic charm. Mr Mosquito makes for a strangely compelling antagonist, and their showdown had just the right amount of suspense and silliness.
The interactive colouring element made it even more immersive. It's rare to come across a story that invites the reader to colour the world as the narrative unfolds literally.
Highly recommended for fans of indie comics, unconventional heroes, and anyone looking for a creative twist on the classic good vs. evil tale!
