I loved this book, it's a standalone and I haven't read the previous book so it took me a couple of chapters to catch up with how everyone knows each other.

I am definitely going to be reading more in this series, as I loved all the characters, the interactions, banter and conversations between them all kept me hooked.

The storyline was full of romance, action, mystery, suspense - everything I want in a book and more. The characters were so likeable.

Emory is a curvy girl who did not have the best childhood, but has found her place; until her past comes back to haunt her, but Luc is determined to protect her at all costs, He really falls fast and hard for Emory and it was so sweet to see him convince her they were not fake.

Luc's loyalty to his family and friends just makes him even more loveable and the perfect boyfriend for Emory. He's an ex-Seal who now runs a security firm with his brothers.

I would absolutely recommend this book.

- standalone
- he falls first
- fake relationship
- curvy FMC

If you do nothing else this year do not miss out on this phenomenal read!! C B Noy is quickly becoming one of my favourite authors. The way in which she commands her words into such wonderful worlds is akin to a master conductor flawlessly guiding his symphony. Absolutely spellbinding.

I absolutely adored Limitless with River and Rico, so the bar was set pretty high for this book. And boy did C B Noy exceed that line by a mile. This story was addictive, compelling, beautiful and heart rendering. It pulls a maelstrom of emotions from you with little effort. You just can’t help but fall in love with these characters.

I am in awe of how C B Noy portrayed Emory. She’s a beautiful character who brings light to peoples lives, she enriches their day simply with a smile. But what I absolutely loved was how her body image was depicted.

I know a lot of authors write of curvy women, because let’s face it, we don’t all have what is often perceived as the perfect figure. But C B Noy has taken it a step further and showed how negativity and prejudice can impact upon a persons mental and physical well being.

I do not have anywhere close to a slim figure and could 100% relate to everything that Emory had been put through in her life because of her larger figure. C B Noy dealt with this issue with total respect and empathy, showing an understanding that not everyone looks that deeply for.

Luciano is the total package. This man is everything we secretly wished we could have and more. He’s a total
Alpha, dominant, protective, gentle and a million other things that set him apart.

Watching his relationships with his family, adds a beautiful depth to an already stunning story. I love how Luciano falls first. There’s nothing more likely to make your ovaries explode than a man with stars in his eyes, yearning to have a woman in his life.

Emory and Luciano were simply written in the stars. The way that Luciano sees the beauty in every facet of Emory, both inside and out was heartwarming. The fact that he doesn’t see her weight as a negative, but rather something that turns him on just endeared him all the more.

This is, without a seconds hesitation, a stunningly beautiful read that will give you one heck of a book hangover, but boy is it worth it!!

C B Noy has once again showed her incredible talent and given us something that touches our hearts. She has written with a tremendous talent and a truly beautiful love for her art.

If you can’t already tell, I cannot recommend this story highly enough.

There just aren’t enough stars in the sky to fully portray just how wonderful this story is.

This Series is Addictive!

This story has a bit of everything: witty banter, steamy moments, action/suspense, and heartbreaking/heartfelt moments. I was hooked from page 1 all the way to the second epilogue. Luciano is an ex Navy SEAL and owns Quattro Security with his brothers. Emory is a middle school teacher whose childhood was the complete opposite of Luciano’s loving upbringing. I loved both main characters. Luciano knew when to give Emory the space she needed, but also when to unleash the overprotective alpha. Emory endured so much trauma growing up with her horrible family, but came out the other side as a strong and independent woman. I absolutely loved Emory’s grandmother Gigi and Luciano’s parents. River and Quin are the best friends that anyone could ever have in their life. The other Del Toro brothers are hilarious and fun-loving, but will turn into alpha males the second someone they love is in trouble. A wonderful HEA with not one but TWO Epilogues! Another winner by this wonderful author and an awesome addition to a series that I highly recommend.
Disclaimer: I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review. Even though I received this for free, I have purchased the ebook copy of this book and the rest of the series for my Kindle.

Luc fell in love with Emory at first sight...well so did I. I am a sucker for a strong female lead. Emory has survived the EMOTIONAL DAMAGE of her childhood to become a sucessful young lady.
I also like a man who knows what he wants and goes for it!
This book has service men, mystery, and even murder! Grabbed me and didnt let go until the very end!

I love the del Toro brothers! This story was perfect for Luc and Emory. It was heartbreaking to learn about Emory’s past and what she was still dealing with but it was awesome to see Luc step up as her champion and have her back during a tense situation that spiraled out of control.

The girl tribe is back – River and Quin – full of love and support and help when Emory needs it most. These are definitely some gals I’d love to have at my side! And the rest of the del Toro clan, their friends, and Emory’s grandmother, Gigi round out the wonderful characters. The storyline and Luc and Emory’s relationship development were well-paced and engaging. I loved seeing Luc help rebuild Emory’s confidence and their evolution from a fake date to a real relationship. They made a wonderful couple, had great chemistry, and I enjoyed really getting to know them both. It was a fantastic read!

As with the first book in the series, there were plenty of del Toro family laughs, unbreakable friendship bonds, suspense, drama, emotions, romance, and action. A few scenes in this book coincide with scenes in book one – Limitless, just told as seen from Luc’s point of view which added to the overall intensity of them. Loved the epilogue and their well-deserved HEA. I cannot wait for Alec and Quin’s story. She’s a firecracker and he’s definitely going to have his hands full with her.

Relentless is the 2nd book in the excellent del Toro family saga, and it's fantastic! (Okay, technically the family saga started in the last book of the previous series, so Luc is the third brother to find his HEA. Just in case you like to read in order! This can be read as a stand alone, but be prepared to want all the other stories after you finish. 😉)

Okay, Emory & Luc! He's smitten from the minute he hears her, falls harder after laying eyes on her, and is a complete goner as he gets to know her. I love his protective nature, and he's relentless in his determination to help Emory fight the demons her parents created.

Emory has been fighting her whole life, and has been relentless herself. She believes in herself, but still needs the support of Luc, Quin, & River to remind her at times. 🧡 She is strong & amazing, sweet & caring. One of my favorite characters in this series!

Speaking of characters - Gigi & Ella are a riot!

I love the pacing of their relationship, the communication they have, and Luc's reasons for going slowly in their physical relationship. There's a good suspense storyline, and I enjoyed the whole story!!

Looking forward to the next brother's HEA! 😁

Luciano and Emory

This series is really good. If you haven't started it then you need to. Luciano fell for Emory almost immediately. He's been watching her and is waiting for the right time to approach her. Emory has had it rough with her family and she's ready to move on with her life. Along the way they run into issues that they are able to work through together.

As I said, this these are good reads. C.B. Noy knows how to tell a story.

I love Luc del Toro; he is perfect. He falls hard and protects what is his. He is smitten from the first view of Emory in the grocery store.

The girl gang is back and better than ever!

Emory is strong, she does life on her terms and on her own. Her family is a source of pain and little support. But she is so much better with Luc by her side.

It is a great story with laugh out loud moments, and I read it in one sitting (ok, I was on an airplane). I recommend this book and series. Looking forward to the next one.

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

Reading a CB Noy book is like coming home (no pun intended). Once you open up that book, you’re reunited with all your besties and your visit is never long enough.

Luc and Emory’s journey to their HEA was not an easy one. It was filled with family trauma, lots of healing, realizing your self worth and some old fashioned grit.

I am so incredibly proud of the characters that Ms Noy wrote in Relentless. Emory’s fictional journey to realize her self worth was noting less than breathtaking. Top that with having a loving, supportive and super protective hero in Luc and you have the perfect story.

Bravo!!! I CAN NOT WAIT FOR THE NEXT BOOK!!!

The del Toro four are back. Luciano del Toro has his sights locked on Ms. Emory Daubson. Emory is solidly encased in the friendship circle that includes River and Quin. These three have gotten close and Luc has been noticing Ms. Emory for a while. Emory also tutored Sophia. She is a part of the family. Luc comes up with a scheme of fake dating when he finds out Emory has to go to a rally with her family for her father's campaign. He is not going to let his woman go alone, despite that fact that she does not know she is his yet. He clears that up real quick.

Emory has a love-hate relationship with her body. Her family made sure her self-esteem was in the dirt. She was constantly berated and forced to go to a fat camp every summer. The highlight of her childhood was her grandmother, Imogen Stiles. Gigi was a force to be reckoned with and loved Emory fiercely. No one was going to mess with Emory if Gigi or Luc could help it. Along with Luc came the rest of the del Toro brothers. Emory had all of Quattro Security and her girls protecting her.

Quattro Security had been hired to look into Emory's father. Does Luc tell her and risk the love of his life? This book is just as good as the first book in this series. The del Toro boys love hard and fast and will do anything to protect their women. I fell in love with these boys and thought Rico had my heart but Luc quickly snatched a piece for himself. I can't wait to read about the next del Toro to take the plunge. It is going to be explosive.

Relentless
This is the second book in the Quattro Security. They can be read as stand alones or as a series (which you’re gonna want to read them all!)

Luciano is an ex Navy SEAL and investor shot for HS. When he runs into Emory, he is obsessed at first sight and starts stalking her so that he can see her more.

Emory is a middle school teacher, and loves her job. Her family is toxic, and shames her for her body. When she moved to the small town, she found her happy place. When he father demands that she comes to a political rally and she refuses to go, her father sends one of his men to assault her.

Luc refuses to leave her alone and declares her his, and Em doesn’t refuse. Kind of. 😜

Thank you so much C. B. For writing such a badass main character and also including her body sensitivity issues. It’s so real for us curvy girls and I love reading about it in such an amazing light. 🩵🩵

Couldn't Put This Down!!

Couldn’t Put This Down!!!

This is book 2 of the Quattro Security Series and I can’t get enough of these delicious men!  This is Luc and Emory’s story and their instant chemistry could be felt off the page.  The story moves quickly and the depth of the characters was felt.  I got soo mad at Luc for what he did to break Emory’s trust and I wanted to smack Emory for not understanding Luc’s intentions.  I loved how Luc was in the right place at the wrong time and was able to swoop in and save the day.  I know this probably doesn’t make sense, but will when you read this book.  This is the perfect fiery read for those nights that you want a good story, amazing characters and smoony heat!

Relentless (Quattro Security #2) by C.B. Noy. Luciano, aka Luc, has had a thing for the plus-size school teacher since Limitless. If you haven't read it, do so. You will not be disappointed. Luc has been trying to keep his distance from Emory. However, when he sees something he doesn't like, he knows he has to take action. Emory has always had issues with her curvy figure. Being the daughter of a senator and a socialite mother, she has constantly been harassed by not only her family but also the help. Now, dear old dad has requested her attendance to a big event, and all those old feelings she thought she had left behind when she moved to Mountain Grove have resurfaced. When an assignment comes up, Luc jumps at the chance, which would allow him to get closer to Emory. The question is, will this opportunity have an adverse effect on their budding relationship along with Emory's insecurities. Another hit from this author. Book 1 is not necessarily needed to be read to read this book, but like I said previously, you need to read Limitless. In fact, you should read the first series, Mountian Grove, which is the series that started this all. Loved the characters. Loved the Brotherhood and the Sisterhood of the characters. Loved the story of a plus-size woman being loved to the point of overcoming her insecurities. Just loved this story all around. I'm definitely looking forward to the next brother's book. 5 stars for me.

This was so brilliantly written I read this in one sitting.
Luciano aka Luc has had a thing for curvy spitfire Emory now all he has to do is convince her that they meant to be.
Emery has spent her life keeping people at a distance and with her family, life has not been easy. Luc, Mr. alpha himself, truly sees Emery. I loved how this story progressed and it has everything I love. Romance, laughter, amazing characters, suspense and twists I didn’t see coming.
This was a 5 star read for me and I highly recommend this book.

Wow. Relentless was so good. Characters were fire. I especially love Ma and Gigi. Emory went through a lot growing up. I’m glad she had Gigi in her corner. Emory came from a rich political family and she was the black sheep of the family because she wasn’t the perfect looking little girl. She moved to a small town and made some amazing friends. She became a teacher and she loved every minute of it. She ended up meeting Luc and fell love. There was a lot that happened that i didn’t see coming. Very well written.

Once again C.B. Noy has blasted it out of the park with the phenomenal next book in the Quattro Security series. Luc and Emory are amazing together and make you cheer for them from the start. Emory is so strong and has fought for her own happiness her entire life. I absolutely adore Luc and am so happy he has met his match. This book is an absolute must read!

Can I give it more than 5 stars? Because this book is so worth it!! I absolutely loved everything about this story. I loved that Emory was a curvy girl, who was awesome! Luc is everything you want in a hero/alpha! He is protective, loyal, possessive, loving, annd of course alpha. The books just keep getting better and better! This book will keep you on the edge of your seat and make you want to finish it in one sitting. I can’t wait for the next one.

This book mad e you really feel for the FMC. She came from a horrible home life where was abused and taught that she was nothing and an embarrassment. Always told she was too fat and not important. Let me tel you the MMC is my favorite. He comes in and is there for her no matter what to remind her just how amazing she is. How she is perfect the way she is. Their relationship is sweet and loving and everything she has ever wanted and deserved. Do they go through some challenges? Yes. Just like everyone else in life. The storyline was not too complicated and yet just enough to keep you wondering what will happen next. The banter is cute and the respect he has for her it top level. Love that for her. Definitely enjoyed their story.

Relentless is the second book of the Quattro Security series. It is just as great as the first book. I especially love the dedication of the book. How she said that it’s ok to be full figured and loved too. This book will resonate with most of the women nowadays. Emory is beautiful, full figure and all. But her parents are horrible people who had no business becoming parents did. They made her feel ashamed of herself her whole life. Enter Luc, who sees Emory as nothing but a beautiful woman. He loves her for just being her. Luc becomes her bodyguard posing as her boyfriend but he’s not faking it. It may take Emory a little while to realize that he really does want her but she finally does. I loved everything about this book by CB Noy! I can’t wait for the next one! She just seems to grow in her writing from book to book. And this book is no exception! ❤️

I was hooked with this series from page 1 of book 1 and with book 2 it just keeps getting better and better! In book 2 we follow Luc and Emory’s story , which was extremely hard for me to wait for at the end of book 1 because I needed to know everything about everyone right then and there. Luc is a strong alpha male who is everything a girl could dream of- selfless and brave with the ability to see a person for who they are as opposed to how society portrays them. Emory is also everything I could have wanted in an FMC as well- strong, tenacious and a survivor despite the world she came from telling her differently because she didn’t look like the mold that society expected her to look like. It was also really nice to see a very familiar, human side of Emory- she is instantly attracted to Luc but knowing how she looks when other see her (or how she thinks she looks in the eyes of others), she thinks he would never fall for a girl like her. It is always really nice to see those thoughts and emotions in FMC’s because I relate to those extremely well and those are always the kinds of FMC’s that draw me in the fastest (and also the FMC’s that I think aren’t written about as often as they should be). With all of that in mind, you can’t help but fall instantly in love with her. Add the banter back and forth between her and Luc as well as the wonderfully written cast of supporting characters and this story just adds on the greatness that was the first story.
It was also really nice to see the struggle from Luc in regards to the mission that he has volunteered for and his growing relationship with Emory and his desire to keep her safe from the darkness that is her family. I knew from the beginning the whole fake dating thing would never work out for these two and it was really nice to see how they both began to navigate a real relationship while discovering hidden truths that could make or break their relationship entirely.
What has really hooked me about these books is that besides all of the action, suspense, romance and drama that happens in each one, there is such a strong, underlying theme of friendship and family, especially between River, Emory and Sophia, that you can’t help but feel drawn to all of them, especially if you have a core group of friends like that in your own life. Throw in the supportive and loving family that is the del Toro’s and it becomes really hard, if not nearly impossible to find anything to dislike about this world that has been created.
While these are all standalone stories, I need to back and get my hands on the Mountain Grove series because something tells me those book with just further enhance my experience with this series. I’m so glad that this book just added on to the wonderful series that this is and that Luc and Emory got the HEA that they both deserved. I can’t wait for Quin and Alec’s story!

Luc is a tall, dark and broody ex Navy SEAL who now works with his brothers in a security/ protection firm. From the moment he saw her, his heart has beat a little faster for the curvy and beautiful school teacher, Emory. Months later, he still hasn’t approached her to ask for a date though he has watched her with laser focus whenever she is close by and has rescued her from an irate father of one of her students. He doesn’t like to see the hint of sadness in her eyes or the tiredness that cloaks her on occasion. He also has a fear of messing everything up with her and he has decided to take his time before doing his best to claim her, not for a fling, but for a lifetime.

When Emory is attacked by her father’s henchmen, Luc steps up to protect her and despite her protests, he looks after her while she is injured. Emory’s father wants her to attend a political function, but she has ignored him. The attack was a warning, but it also raised Luc’s ire and by extension the ire of all of his brothers too. Now Emory will be attending the rally with Luc by her side as her boyfriend, and the brothers are now looking into all of the business dealings of Emory’s father. Emory and Luc have to be convincing as a couple so the time before the event is spent getting to know each other and being comfortable together. Emory’s family bullied and shamed her constantly about her weight and then about her unwillingness to follow their dictates. Luc showing interest in her body has to be fake, because he could have any woman and not someone who is fat like her. She thinks this is all pretend, though she wishes it was real. For Luc it is all real and he worries about what will happen when she learns of the investigation into her father’s dealings.

I love the chemistry between Emory and Luc. The way he shows her that he loves her curves, her heart and the way she thinks. His alpha tendencies, his protective manner and all of the tender moments between them melted my heart. The relationship dynamics between all of the friends and family are wonderful and make this book even more enjoyable and memorable. Captivating from page one to the very last page, this book is a great read.

I received a copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

I absolutely adore C.B. NOY! Her books are truly amazing and take you on a wonderful journey. This series is everything and I loved every minute of it. It takes you on a Hella rollercoaster ride, that has you gripping the edge of your seat. It's filled with so much action, suspense, family , friendships, spice and a whole lot more. With twists and turns you will never see coming. Once I started I just couldn't stop, I was hooked just like I was with book one.

Luciano aka luc, is our Hunk off a MMC. He and his 3 brothers run their own security business called quattro security. They love what they do but trouble is never to far away. He's got his eyes in a beauty but is keeping her at arms length for now. But that will soon change.

Emory is our beautiful FMC, her life has been a shit show, her parents and brother are vile and treat her poorly. When she got the chance she left them behind but the damage was already done. She's a school teacher and loves her job and the small town she moved to, she adores her two best friends aswell. But there's a certain hunk that graces her dreams. But she thinks someone like him won't be interested in someone like her.

When Emory is attacked while being with her 2 best friends, Luc sees red and can't stand to stay hidden anymore and tells her that she does now " have a boyfriend" but she thinks he's only doing it so she can face her family. But she's totally wrong. Luc is head over heels in love with her and will do anything to show her that it ain't fake and that she's beautiful and is worthy. As true fashion shit hits the fan and has Luc running to save her a couple times.

So much happens in their story, you have to read it for yourself! I fell In love with these two. I just couldn't get enough. The characters, the storyline, the plots where out off this world. I could feel every ounce of pain that em was going through and I cried along with her and for her. My heart truly ached for her. I did laugh, cry and get angry through this story but miss c.b noy broke my heart and then put it back together again. I can't wait to read the next book. Highly recommend.

Romance was OTT but somehow still pretty clean. Aka: unrealistic and boring af. I had to skim the spicy scenes after the first one had me laughing out loud (and not in a good way) because I don't know one woman who can orgasm on demand with only harsh nipple play. I actually stopped reading to check if this author is a dude cause that scene was more like a bad tinder hook-up.

The FMC family were caricatures of the evil step-mother from every Disney movie. Except they were ALL like that. The only thing that could have made it more clear that they were monsters is if they had scales for skin. It. Was. That. Obvious. I understand not bonding with your fat daughter but allowing an employee to beat her? Calling her fat and dressing her in cast-offs? Berating her in public? Those things wouldn't happen because it would still reflect poorly on them.

I don't want to get into the body positivity because I know people all have their own way of showing sensitivity towards body image but if we're trying to show a healthy mindset? This was NOT it. FMC still allowed it to rule her thoughts in negative ways even as she's thinking how she loves her body. She just sounds like she's in the peak of denial and everything internal thought after that was sus because she does not in fact have internal dialogue that makes you think she even likes herself. So which one is it???? It felt more like someone mansplaining to a chubby girl how to be body-positive and ramming the opinion down your throat. I get that the main part of her identity was being fat but maybe choose a different body issue (women have lots to choose from) if you're going to be didactic about it. Hell, she could have hair red hair and the unhealthy response to that without being so offensive to women everywhere who keep frumpy clothes in their closet for bad days.
