Nothing like a fun kids' craft book to make me feel completely inept. The crafts in this book are very detailed and involve some pretty intricate handiwork, to include sewing, hot gluing, painting and other such methods. The instructions are nicely laid out and there are lots of photographs to help at each step. But I just don't have the talent or inclination to make any of these things.

Our oldest brought this book home from the library. She could probably make about half of them, but even she is a bit overwhelmed by the details of some of the projects. The background story for the different chapters is somewhat entertaining, but completely unnecessary for a craft book.

I used many of the dragon patterns for my son's birthday party. Some of the projects in here are pretty involved, but everything I tried looks great.
