Rate this book
The war against evil just got personal…

Shane Ryan is no stranger to violence. He still carries the scars left by his battles against supernatural evil. But when a new enemy targets the people Shane served with in the Corps, the retired Marine finds himself trapped in a deadly game of cat and mouse.

With only his young friend Tom Daniels to watch his back, Shane travels across America. Every move he makes is monitored. Everything he says or does is watched. And if he fails to follow this mysterious villain’s instructions, his fellow Marines will die.

Trapped, Shane and Tom must navigate a sadistic maze of torture and bloodshed. But they are not the only ones caged in this sinister prison.

The man responsible for this vendetta lurks in the shadows. A spirit of unthinkable evil has been unleashed. And both crave revenge.

But so does Shane Ryan. Someone hurt his friends. And now, he’s going to make them pay. No matter who—or what—he has to kill to do it…

Ron Ripley is a husband and father surviving in New England, a place which seems to be getting colder every day. He grew up across from a disturbingly large cemetery where he managed to scare himself every night before going to bed. Mostly because of the red lights that people put in front of the headstones. Those things are just plain creepy to a kid.

Ron enjoys writing horror, military history and driving through the small towns of New England with his family, collecting books and giving impromptu lectures on military history to his family, who enjoy ignoring him during those dreadful times.

Shane Ryan has killed a lot of bad people. It's what he's good at. If anyone in the Scare Street world was deserving of killing at the hands of Shane Ryan, it has to be the villains in this book. These guys take personal vengeance to a new level, or depth if you will. As you read this book, you will be angry, you will be sorrowful and you may even shed tears. One thing is certain however; you will root for Shane as he struggles to make things right.
I felt that this was one of the best books featuring Shane Ryan to date. I can't wait for the next entry in this series.

Riveting to the end

As always another great story from Ron Ripley & Nick Efstathiou. Shane Ryan and Tom are to go to a mansion and Shane is still unaware of the reasoning behind the attacks on his friends.
He gives as good as he gets, but he always has the upper hand. Tom holds his own, but eventually he is caught off guard. Can’t wait to see what the next book holds for Shane.

Great ghost stories

This series of ghost stories is insane. They are so good that once I start one I can't put it down. Shane has got to be the meanest man I have ever read about. I would hate to be on his wrong side. I recommend reading this to all that love fiction, adventures and great fighting. This book is well written and has a great cast of characters.

Horrific

The story includes kidnapping and child murder. The villain of this story has no redeeming qualities. The people he hires and ghosts he buys deserve what they get.

All of these are just insanely fun reads, but this dialog in particular made me laugh aloud for a solid 5 minutes:

“You were a handsome little devil. It is why I wanted to play with you so much. But you are not cute anymore.” “Because I don’t have hair?” Shane asked with a grin, handing Tom the mug before refilling his own. “Because you are a big gross man,” Eloise stated.
