Hannah Bane A healthy loving relationship is what we all strive for. A dream of someone to share our life with who will Ride or Die with us. What happens when the flame dies? What happens when the promise turns into a chore? What happens when you become nothing more than roommates, who share a house and the bills? What happens when you feel as if you are suffering in silence? Loving someone is sometimes not enough. There is a difference between loving someone and being in love with them. What if the man you promised yourself to is in fact the man that is slowly shattering you? Do you stay? Do you go? This is my story, the story of how I was dead inside, but found my way to live for me. The story of how my pieces were put back together again.

Hello I am Sasha R.C. I am a dark romance author. I love anything that has to do with Dark Romance. The Darker the Better. Some of my Favs are: The Ritual, The Sinner, Church, Den of Vipers, and The Sacrifice
I am currently writing many different dark romance standalones
I finished this book a week ago and I’m still trying to find the right words to describe this book. The story’s content is heavy and contains physical and mental abuse as well as substance abuse so please make sure you stop and read the content and trigger warnings.
Hannah is a woman who just wants to be loved. She an aspiring author who lives in a small town with her boyfriend of Nathan. Looking at Hannah and Nate they seem like they’re living their happily ever after, but that’s all an illusion. Nate treats Hannah like an object in his possession and not at all the woman he claims to love, he is abusive and controlling and makes Hannah’s life miserable in any way he can.
Almost at her wits end, Hannah heads to the local pub one night to celebrate her latest book release alone. Here at the bar she meets Nik who owns the bar. Although she doesn’t talk a lot Nik can’t seem to get enough of Hannah, he wants to know everything there is about this beautiful quiet woman sitting in his bar.
Hannah has had more than her fair share of partners who have claimed to love her but have left her broken and bruised. Nik is on a mission to not only protect Hannah, but show her what it’s like to be truely loved by someone and that she is worthy of this kind of love.
Hannah’s story is heartbreaking, it’s a story of survival, acceptance, growth and rebirth. I’m not going to lie this book was highly emotional and hard to read at times. Sasha has clearly put her heart and soul into telling this story. She has a way of making you connect with the characters in such a way that you’re experiencing each emotional blow right alongside the characters. This is a book that will break you into a thousand jagged pieces and slowly put you back together again.
"Him & I" is not a read for everyone. It holds depths of desperation, constant abuse, and one Love that never dies.
I have to be honest when I started reading this book, I wasn't so sure I could finish. My review will explain the reasoning. This is the first time I am speechless, but my heart and eyes are wide open to the vulnerability that each character holds in this book. I am no stranger to reading books that have strong trigger warnings in them. This book, Him & I, took me by surprise. It devoured me whole and consumed me with a need to read it to the end.
Nik is a man of his word. He is cursed by his demons from the past, he can be possessive, jealous, and very dominant. He works hard and loves even harder. He sees her come into his bar now and again. He desperately wants to know her, but she keeps to herself. He will make it his life's mission to know her even if it kills him.
Hannah desperately wants to be loved, but can't fight her demons by herself. She is in a committed relationship with Nathan but things aren't what they appear to be. She loves to write books and Is very good at it and one who is underappreciated.
Nathan has been Hannah's boyfriend for several years. He works hard and hits even harder. He is charming when wants to be. He is a wolf in sheep's clothing.
One night things went from bad to worse in what felt like a lifetime, but only happened in minutes. Hannah will soon learn that regret and sadness could follow Her life will never be the same.
Sasha RC, this is no ordinary read. It is one of knowledge, experience, and love that will last a lifetime. Nik and Hannah will forever be the best book couple. EVER. It shares not only their trials and tribulations on how they got to be where they are today. It shows how Nik has a love so deep for her and her for him and how life should be.
Where there is darkness, I will create the light to find you. My own words. I understand
You are one talented writer and author. I am impressed beyond words could say. Gifted is a word that comes to mind. A Chefs 💋
Trigger warnings ⚠️ do apply read them... This is not just a happily ever after. It's a rebirth.
“When you are told something long enough, you start to believe it. All the men who said they love me have either hurt me or left. Am I that hard to love?”
That line is what broke me.
Him & I, is at times not an easy book to read. Hannah has found herself in a toxic relationship. One that shows how words can hurt just as bad as fists, and those hurt as well. Sasha tells the story how Hanna’s boyfriend steals a little bit of her day by day, piece by piece until one day she walks into a bar. There she meets Nikolai, will he be enough for Hannah to see her life is worth living. That she is better of leaving?
I really enjoyed this story, a definite 5 star read from me and look forward to more from this author.
Wow wow! I personally felt so called out on many occasions in this book😅 because I could relate so much to Hannah and her story!💙 Absolutely love love the story line & that a "book boyfriend" maybe out their for all of us!? Beautifully done! Absolutely 1 of my top books so far! Absolutely love when a man ain't afraid to show how much his woman means to him🥵🥰💜 Thank you for allowing me on your ARC Reader team!
Hannah is a dark romance writer who is in a horrible relationship with Nathan. He is both verbally and physically abusive. He makes her feel like she can't have a life without him. She feels trapped but still loves Nathan. This story really shows you how Nathan abuses Hannah and the aftermath of it all after she leaves him. You go through her experiences with her mental depression, drug use, & her internal struggle with just trying to be normal after that. So, Hannah goes to a bar and meets the owner, Nikolai. He falls first and instantly wants to protect her. He shows her what a real relationship should look like. Their journey together is amazing. The spice is so hot between Hannah and Nikolai🔥. The book was a very easy read. I like that it is written how the characters think. So, you see their thought processes throughout the book. If you like a possessive MMC, lots of spice, touch her and you die MMC, and a beautiful love story, then you should pick this up!
Ok everyone please check your trigger warnings before you read this book. This book is about physical abuse, mental abuse, drug and alcohol abuse.
So Hannah has been in a horrible relationship for 4 years. She is a writer and whom her partner doesn’t believe in her. He thinks it’s a waste. Now mind you she was a recovering alcoholic and drug user until Nate made her set back. She needs to be high and drunk to write.
Until the day she meets Nik. He was a bar owner/ dealer. From the moment he saw Hannah , Nik needed to know more about her. So she would sneak out after Nathan would pass out and she would go to the bar. So Nik and Hannah fell for each other.
In the meantime Nik saves Hannah from Nate. Nate beat the hell out of her and said she was his and nobody else.
This book will make you feel every emotion that is happening. I felt her pain and suffering. I highly recommend this book.
Sasha RC has done it again. This book will definitely put you in your feels.
Hannah I feel for her, she is in a abusive relationship with Nathan her boyfriend and she uses Dr*gs and alcohol to cope. She meets Nik at the bar he owns that she goes to drink and get quiet from her life at home.
Hannah is a brave woman who has gone through a lot and the help she receives from Nik really helps turn her life around.
Nik is a bar owner and has his own darkness he is dealing with. Can they help each other out and still fall for each other, find out on this awesome dark, spicy, emotional read. This book will have you crying for Hannah and also cheering for her too. I couldn't put this book down.
Please read triggers before reading this book! This book has DV in it. Sasha did an amazing job with writing this story. While reading I was so invested I felt the heartache, the pain and some moments I just would tear up while reading.
This is about a women who is being mentally and physically abused, she meets a man who wants to love and help her heal. To show her not all men behave the same way. And the abuser well let’s just say he doesn’t like it and gets some karma.
Again read the Trigger Warnings! Definitely recommend reading this book.
As always please check your trigger warning before reading this book!! I would say this one more so than any other book I have read and reviewed as this deals with alot of heavy topics! This book will not be for everyone as it deals with a lot of forms of abuse! This book took me on a roller coaster ride of emotions!! I could feel the heart break and desperation of the characters!!! The pain and emotions within this book can be felt through every word Sasha has written within these pages! This book is not for the faint of heart!
I am so I love with this book it was well written and the meaning of why it was written…I felt like I was reading a real life story…I love how Hannah found her savior her hero right when her husband showed his true colors..NIK just saved her at the most difficult time of her life, he took her in without knowing her and just put her broken pieces together and that right there just drew me in more into the story! Sasha did an amazing job with this one and like always she never lets her readers down!
Check trigger warnings for this book. This book deals with domestic violence. It’s a very heavy story that hits close to home. I cried. It was packed full of heartache and emotion.
Sasha did an amazing job at writing this book. My heart hurt so much for Hannah. So many people go through what Hannah did. A story that needs to be told and heard. This book is one that will stick with you.
I loved Nik, omg what an amazing MMC. Swoon worthy, top tier book boyfriend for sure.
Before you start reading, make sure you have all of the tissues because you will need them. Make sure you read the TW because it does get dark. I have to say this is one of my favorite books of the year. The raw emotions that are throughout this book, had me crying and I related to this book. A lot of what Hannah feels about herself I'm sure many people including myself have felt. I love Sashas' characters, her FMCs overcome so much and are so strong. I highly recommend you running to get this, you will love it..
Gripping, fast paced, and dramatic Hannah has only wanted two things in life to be a great writer and have a wonderful loving relationship with her longtime boyfriend Nathan. Neither though seems achievable with the dark clouds Nathan casts In Hannah’s life until she catches the attention of morally gray bar owner Nikolai who makes it his mission to show her that not all men are bad or hurt their women, that the book boyfriends she writes can be more than a fantasy and her desires valid. Once again Sasha has packed a punch and wove a beautiful gripping story I couldn’t put down.
This is a Dark Romance about Domestic Violence and surviving. Please check you trigger warnings before reading! I absolutely devoured this book! It took me on a roller coaster of emotions! This quote hit home and so true! “When you hear that word (sorry) enough, it starts to lose its meaning. Until now, I didn’t realize just how much that word doesn’t do shit for me”. The ending was chefs kiss! I love this authors writing style! She makes me feel part of her world and deeply connect with the characters! I highly recommend this book!
This story will definitely have you in your feelings. The characters and story are so raw. This story contains both physical and mental abuse so please check your trigger warnings. I personally relate with this story is multiple ways and Sasha wrote it beautifully. I couldnt Put it down. I cried, I was Angry, but I could Not stop reading it. In the end it’s really a story about finding the right love and how that can overcome all things in the past. With time and healing.
This book is not for the weak hearted. Please read the CW & TW. My heart just hurts for her. She just wants to be loved and wanted and her poor excuse of a husband doesn't care. He shouldn't be so surprised when she finds someone who actually sees her worth. The fact that she is an author really sold me! Her hotty new guy is drool worthy! He is so kind and gentle with her. Wanting her to know she can beloved and is worth everything! He does everything he can to help her find herself again ♡
This book is raw and powerful, it’s not a romance book that is hearts and flowers but a book filled with two people who are each dealing with their own struggles and find the strength in their connection to allow them to change the path they were taking. Nik helps Hannah to face the truth about what has happened in her life and vice versa, showing up for each other every day and becoming each other’s obsession. Fantastic book but please read the TWs.
Him and I are the perfect mixture of pain and pleasure, light and dark.
This book is was a hard read from start to finish. But also one of the best examples of how even when you are at your darkest and think there is no hope, sometimes all you need is that one person who refuses to to give up. Him and I is a story of abuse, betrayal and hope. Hope for a better love and a life free of pain
Amazing book, the away that the author describe DV is amazing, love every word, the feelings and the description. The character's are very accurate, the way that Nathan treat's Hannah is very bad and psychological abuse is 9uy of this world. Nikolai is morally grey, beautiful and hot. If you want more,go read this amazing book 📚

I loved this book!! I loved Hannah and Nikoli. This is a DV story so I highly recommend reading the warnings before starting this book. Yes there are dark moments, but to me this book was about more than the DV. It's about the hope that things will be better and there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
This book was perfect. I did not put it down once. it had me captured from page one. every emotion was felt while i read this. i instantly fell for Nik. He was so patient caring and loving. He knew exactly what to say and do when dealing with Han.
I love Sasha and the way she does everything. This book had me hooked from the beginning. Lots of relatable stuff in this book for me which pulled me in even further. Please please read TW and read with caution if you are triggered. But seriously read it 🤷♀️
The story/plot is great! However I had trouble with the pace, it was fast, choppy, lacking in transition. There was so much thinking and internal dialogue. The last 30% I was forcing myself to continue on.i almost DNF.
This has to be my favorite book by Sasha. I have a thing for tortured souls and Nik and Hannah are it. Nik proves to Hannah that he will love her through it all and he delivers.
Loved that two broken people were able to find love and mend their broken pieces. Please readers heed the content warning. It does have heavy subjects.
This book.... Sasha once again did an amazing job of giving you an inside look into the minds of the characters. This was the hardest book I have read in a while and at point I wasn't sure I was going to able to finish it, but boy am I glad I did! You can feel the characters pain and emotions. Listening to their inner thoughts is heartbreaking at times. Needless to say, I had a book hangerober after this one!
Oh my God!!! I loved this book, beyond amazing. I can't say how much I loved it. Being a victim of DV myself, it really hit home. I can't say how much I love the way sasha writes, just just beautiful. Please read triggers. 3.5 on my spice scale. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶🌶🌶 1/2
This book, this freaking book. Sasha does an amazing job at giving you an inside in the victims mind. You watch her fold into herself and lose herself. But Nik is right there picking her back up and putting her pieces together. I love their relationship and how much he loves her. He gives her everything she deserves in life. Her ex boyfriend is a creep! Yuck, no thank you! After all the trauma and problems through out the book, she does find happiness and herself. This book is 1 of the hardest ones I have read by Sasha. You can feel Hannahs pain and your heart will break listening to her inner thoughts. Overall I loved this story and it left me in a book hangover. She did amazing.
