Renee Scarrott has written a spellbinding psychological thriller titled Finding Paige. It’s filled with mystery, manipulation, and uncertainty that kept me questioning the characters' every move. I couldn’t stop reading until the truth was revealed. From one revelation to the next this story moves at a spine-tingling pace.
Olivia’s best friend disappeared from their favorite gathering place when she was a little girl. From that day on, Olivia vowed to find her friend, Paige. As an adult, she has become a police detective with access to Paige’s cold case file. At every turn, she is discouraged from investigating and urged to focus on current cases. When a mysterious man suddenly shows up with case files she believes are unrelated to Paige’s case, she becomes skeptical of everyone including her closest confidantes. Her memory of that day is vague but when she returns to the scene of the crime, her memory is frighteningly jarred. She is now even more determined to find out what happened to Paige. The events that ensued next kept me reading late into the night.
The author skillfully delved into the mind of the main character. By doing so, Olivia’s doubts became my doubts, and her fears became mine for her. Scarrott’s ability to engage her readers in the emotions and feelings of this character is a rare gift. Although this is the first book I have read by this author, I look forward to reading more of her books. I would recommend this book to friends who enjoy reading mystifying psychological thrillers.

Finding Paige
Olivia is a criminal investigator with the police force and she is trying to find out what happened to her childhood friend when she was eight years old. Paige disappeared, and no one can tell her what happened. Olivia asks her boss to let her look at the case Files on her friend Paige, but he denies her and tells her to go take care of cases that are open, she decides to try and find Paige on her own, when she gets a mysterious phone call from a man asking to meet her, saying he has information about her friend. She decides to meet him and finds out that Luke may have information on Paige. Luke and Olivia are thrown into a adventure that tries to reveal Olivia’s hidden memories the more childhood places she visits the more memories she is recovering only to find out that what she believed to be true is not really what it seems. Olivia is asked to meet the person she has considered to be her dad at an abandoned warehouse. She goes and is confronted with a cult that believes that she has a higher calling since she could see her childhood imaginary friend, Zues. The cult thinks that it will reveal all the secrets to otherworldly powers. She tells them that they may not like it if comes. They are really excited, so she summons Zues and tells him that these are bad people and they are not their friends. Zues unleashes horrible things in the cult members and Olivia goes on to learn that her mother who she thought was dead is alive and well as is her friend Paige.

There are very few books that have the power to capture the readers' attention from the first page itself. Finding Paige penned by the author Renee Scarrott is one such book. The title of the book made me curious to turn page after page to know what this book has in store for me.
The story is about two best friends Olivia and Paige. They were eight-years-old when Paige disappeared. Olivia is now thirty one years old. She is a criminal investigator at the Bayfield Police Department. Since Paige's disappearance, Olivia always had the feeling that Paige is still alive. After three years of Paige's disappearance, police marked her case as a cold case.
When the chief of police and Olivia's personal mentor Conrad Hudson didn't give his approval to reopen Paige's case, Olivia decided she would work on it on her own. What will happen when one day, she receives a call from an unknown number that could give her some information about Paige's disappearance.
The story is well paced and I wasn't bored anytime while reading it. This book is an engaging read. Along with Olivia, I even became obsessed with finding out what happened to Paige. The title of the book is suitable and the cover photo is well designed. Those who love reading stories involving a character's disappearance should get their hands on this book.

I love reading thrillers and mystery stories as they help me to exercise my mind by wondering what would have happened.
Olivia Bayfield is a criminal investigator at the Bayfield Police Department. She received her Bachelor's degree in Criminal justice with high hopes to get access to Paige's cold case files. Paige was Olivia's best friend when they were in third grade. Since Paige's disappearance, Olivia is determined to dig deeper to know where Paige is, is she alive and what happened to her.
Olivia saw a ray of hope when she received a call from a stranger named Luke. He asked Olivia to meet him at a public place so he could give her information about Paige's disappearance. This could be dangerous but if Olivia wants to find out about Paige, she has to take the risk. Unfortunately, she couldn't directly use the resources of the police department to work on Paige's case.
The story gets interesting with every turning page. The writing style of the author is brilliant. The narration is smooth and strong. I was able to follow this story easily. I totally loved the writing of Renee. This book is highly recommended. Readers would have a great time reading this thriller.

One day on August 10th, Paige disappeared and it has been twenty two years since then, Olivia hasn't heard from her. Throughout her life, Olivia was restless. She wanted to know what happened to Paige. As a criminal investigator now, she wants to reopen Paige's case. Will she get the permission for it?

This was my first Renee Scarrott's book. Olivia's story is entertaining, intriguing and captivating, filled with intrigue, mystery, danger, suspense, and unexpected twists and turns. Olivia is a a criminal investigator. She is strong, smart, and determined. The story is told from Olivia's POV. The world building is fascinating. The supporting characters are interesting, and intriguing. Aimee Smith did an excellent job bringing this story to life.

This book is action-packed and fast-paced. A missing friend from twenty years ago had Olivia wanting answers. She uses her position as a police detective to find out what happened. Her search results in the absurd and unbelievable. The story ends on a good note. Aimee Smith narrated the book well.

Enjoyed this book so much , even though it was a bit fanciful . I don't usually like fantasies , but this had just enough mystery in it to keep my interest and keep me reading . Great ending of you like romance 😉 !
