I have to be honest and say that this was just an ok read for me. For a large portion of this story, I was bored... and I quite honestly feel that I would have been just fine having read the first two books in the trilogy. This third instalment felt like a recap of everything that I had already read. For die hard fans, I’m sure they would love more insight into Tobias’s POV, and what he went through when he was away from his woman.. Also, there are flashbacks into Dom and Tobias’s childhood that was interesting to learn.
On the whole for me though, I would have preferred to get more Romance in this book, and more good times between our main characters... mainly because I felt that has also lacked in the first two instalments as well.
I am more than ready to move on! When a book begins to feel like a chore to read, I know it’s time to move on! I know I am in the minority when it comes to this book, so please don’t let it deter you from checking it out! I will say that this author is very talented, and the quality of her writing deserves high ratings for sure!
Thanks to my dear Buddy Reader, Steph for enduring this with me!! lol! Fingers crossed our next BR will be the epic one we are searching to find!😂❤️💘🤞🤞
I have no words. I don’t think anything I type will be quite enough to explain what this trilogy did to me. Flock was a breath of fresh air, Exodus left me broken.. completely and utterly broken & The Finish Line gave me the love, brotherhood & closure I really needed. This series & these characters will never be forgotten in my heart, I am amazed by how perfect it all was. Rainy days will never be the same, eggs will always be runny, coffee black, music loud & cars fast. This trilogy was an unforgettable read & although it broke my heart several times.. i’d do it all again. it was so damn worth it.
Always brothers. Meet me at the finish line. We did it brother. Can you keep a secret?
I love her beyond limits, because she loved me through what I forced her to endure. She loved me though I made us impossible.
The Finish Line is the book I never knew I needed. I was perfectly content with how 'Exodus' ended, but now that I've read this, I realized just how much I wanted and needed more of this story. What an epic ending!
This book was such a journey. It was a long one, but every single part was necessary. There were parts that felt a little random, but then later it would just click. Everything was important. It all came together seamlessly. I laughed, I cried, I cheered for these characters. Cecelia was so fantastic and strong. I loved her even more in this book than I did the others. She was a queen and finally, after everything, she got her rightful and deserving king.
I have no doubt that The Finish Line will be one of my top reads of 2021. It's definitely the best book I've read this year so far. If you've read 'Flock' and 'Exodus', you need this book in your life! And if you haven't, get to them asap. You won't regret it.
Chock-full of emotion, suspense, steam, and ALL the freaking feels, Kate Stewart delivers an intense and brilliant end to The Ravenhood books. These are must reads that I highly recommend.
“Ma chatte. Mon corps. Ma femme. Mon coeur. Ma vie." My pussy. My body. My woman. My heart. My life.
I didn't just read this love story. I lived it. I breathed it. I savoured it. I felt it in every part of my heart and soul. The Finish Line is the much anticipated epic conclusion to the Ravenhood trilogy that left. My. Heart. Soaring.
This love journey was one of my most anticipated books of the year. AND LET ME TELL YOU IT EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS! THIS MAN, took the top spot on my FAVE BOOK BOYFRIENDS of all time. DAYS later and I am STILL living in this world. I FELT EVERYTHING. I NEVER WANTED IT TO END. I CANNOT MOVE ON.
"Any significant sum of every day I’ve spent on this Earth, will always amount to her."
Do yourselves a favour and read this series! It's a once in a lifetime love journey that you won't soon forget! I cannot recommend it enough!
I pity the trees that were cut with the sole purpose of converting their raw wood into pulp for generating papers by utilizing the necessary chemicals to print this awful trilogy.
To say many aspects of this book bothered me would be a lie. Because the entire trilogy bothered me and I still kept reading like a fool considering everyone said it gets better. But little did I know.
THREE BOOKS FILLED WITH ABSO-FUCKING-LUTELY NOTHING.
The "barely there plot" did not do justice to 1300 pages. If you can call "keeping the heroine in the dark and revealing secrets later trope" as a plot. Three books for this? Nonetheless the major things that got on my nerves are:-
➳ Tobias and Cecelia? Seriously? They were TOXIC. I hate Sean but even he had more chemistry with Cecelia than she did with Tobias. Because all Tobias and Cecelia do is fight and then fuck and repeat 🔁 And Tobias never lets her onto any of his secrets and plans. Like what the fuck? Where is the trust? Where is the tension? Where is the chemistry?
➳ There was no need for the author to introduce the third mmc (Tobias). Sean and Dominic could've easily carried the entire trilogy on their backs just like they did with the first book, If only the author hadn't destroyed their characters and downgraded them as side characters to having them completely disappear in other books of this trilogy. All for a random love interest (Tobias) the author chose to introduce in the second book?
➳ Even if Tobias had to be introduced (for the pathetic storyline) he shouldn't have been the one Cecelia ended up with, in my opinion. She had more chemistry with Dom and Sean than she did with Tobias. All in all, Cecelia and Tobias felt forced, like they somehow had to end up together so they did.
(SPOILER from second book ‼️) ➳ There was only one character in this book who made sense and carried the first book on his back, dominic, and after the author had him killed, not only did she destroy his character but she also destroyed the entire storyline and molded it into whatever she saw fit and threw it at the readers to deal with. (SPOILER ENDED ✨)
➳ To say Cecelia’s constant whining and her never-ending monologue throughout the trilogy got me frustrated would be an understatement.
Lastly, the lack of plot, lack of depth in writing, lack of chemistry and more toxicity between the characters and the horrendous way of executing things made me give this book what it truly deserves—one star.
My ratings on other books of this trilogy:– Flock - 1.75 stars. Exodus - 2 stars.
♡11/18/23♡ hi lovelies. idk when i will get around to writing a review for this one. there are just a few reasons that have been weighing heavy on me, but i promise i’ll write one soon as this was my favorite book of the series<3 thinking about tobias and cee daily🦋
♡11/13/23♡ tobias’ words are my undoing. everything that came out of that man’s mouth…baby i’m so sat🧎🏻♀️keep talking, my legs are open. my EARS…my ears! my autocorrect concerns me😳
♡ alexa play: “hey daddy (daddy’s home)” by usher🫦
this book was the end of me :) rtc when the perfect words fall together in the jumbled mess of my mind.
“this one woman has made it impossible to ignore that inside me lurks a heart in need of what only she can give it.” ~~~🫠🦋
“the fear and confusion in his expression have my heart aching and my love multiplying past the point of love—or whatever word represents what i feel for him—something that transcends it, something indescribable, something there will never be ample words for.” ~~~this is a perfect quote to describe how i feel. it’s not enough, but for now…it is<3
♡11/02/23♡ i will get my review for exodus up soon, but i just need to start/reread this one immediately!! i already miss my husband tobias🫦
alexa play: “one of the girls” by the weeknd, jennie & lily rose depp🧎🏻♀️
that song makes me feel all the things tobias related👅💦listen to this song and i promise it will convince you to read this entire trilogy!!!!😉😉
also yes…i deleted my old review again🤧🤧my bruna bae hates me for it😔but she already exposed me awhile ago and had her fun🤗🔪love you pookeh, deleted it cuz it’s the way you ACT ACT ACT *prayag voice* <3
🦅All three books in The Ravenhood Trilogy are 𝐋𝐈𝐕𝐄 & #𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄 to read in #𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 🦅
This trilogy is of a modern day take on Robin Hood, but with more Fast and Furious/Fight Club vibes. It’s an unconventional love story—#𝐁𝐀𝐃𝐁𝐎𝐘𝐒 #𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐎𝐄𝐒—filled with 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞, hella 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 , major 𝐭𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬, a little 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, and 𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐅𝐄𝐄𝐋𝐒!
**All books in the The Ravenhood Trilogy must be read in order.
'THE FINISH LINE' is the third and final full length romance book in Kate Stewart's 'The Ravenhood' series. It picks up where the second book left off. Spoken in 'Dual Perspectives.' Flits to where it all began in Tobias' POV.
Seriously I don't even know where to start with this review, opening the first page was like coming home, that feeling of nostalgia, this evoked so many feels, from swooning, to full out laughing, to crying, when I heard we were going back into this world I was ecstatic, and since then it was one I was highly anticipating.
All the heartache was worth it for us to reach that perfect ending to a perfect book. Perfection at its best..I'm so jealous of ones that haven't read this and get to meet these characters for the first time.
❝ I think about the collective seconds, hours, minutes, days and years I forced myself to believe she could never belong to me again. Of how at one point, I knew I possessed her, that she was mine, and losing her cost me more than a broken heart. It cost me my sanity and my soul. ❞
I remember looking at the sheer volume of the pages my throat gulped at the shear volume of it, but god it wasn't enough, I didn't want to leave this world, I didn't want to say goodbye to these characters I've grown to love. This series fast became an all time favourite of mine which I can't recommend enough. One I would buy in paperback, one I would read over and over again incase I missed something. You can't compare this series to anything. This book went from an easy 5 star read to hitting my first favourite book of 2021. This one is going to be a hard one to top, authors have got their work cut out for them!! Because Kate Stewart has set the bar high!!
I can't remember Tobias being so damn funny, he took me from laughing to swooning quicker than a heart beat out of synch. He's everything a book boyfriend embodies. My heart is full to bursting with everything Tobias was.
So to sum it up if you've not read this series this is one I highly recommend!!

#1 Flock — 3 stars #2 Exodus — 3.5 stars #3 The Finish Line — 3.75 stars
my life is forever CHANGED.
theres no before Tobias cause i cant even remember how it looks like anymore. this man! pretty sure he could just whisper French dirty words in my ear and i’d come apart. 🤪 or if he wished to do ~a n y t h i n g~ more, everything in me would be W-I-L-L-I-N-G. ✋
anyone who didnt read this trilogy as audiobooks seriously MISSED OUT. you dont know a(n) well excellently narrated audiobook until you listen to Joe Arden embody Tobias’ character with just his VOICE. it was a whole different level of experience. 😍
idk why the author initially planned this as a duet? but im beyond happy she published this book cause imo it was just as CRUCIAL as the previous ones, if not more. it made weathering the first two books so So SO WORTH IT. it gave depth and clarity to a number of things. it breathed life into Tobias. he was no longer just the love interest or “the guy Cecelia ended up with.”
i typically dont care for flashbacks, but i devoured the ones here cause they were nostalgic and they added flavor to Tobias’ character. also, watching him not exactly grovel, but try to win Cecelia back and be a “normal” boyfriend? 😂 that was priceless! wouldnt trade it for anything.
the revenge plot was intriguing at the beginning of this series, but it became silly and laughable after *the secret/lie* was discovered. the world/the concept of the brotherhood was interesting, but it wasnt fleshed out? that Cecelia plot twist at the end of this book honestly blindsided me more than it shocked me. i feel like it’d be more impactful if we were in on it with Cecelia and more satisfying to watch Tobias’ reaction only to finding out about it (as opposed to him and the readers being in the dark).
these books arent like anything ive ever read. i was wary starting it bcs of the MFM thing, but it ended perfectly with this book (MF). the series isnt my favorite, but close? its definitely going to take the seat in one of my Book of the Year categories, namely for “best audiobooks” and smth else for Tobias cause who am i kidding hes on a league of his own. 😆
also, i feel like recommending this trilogy to those who enjoyed and/or loved Twilight (for the setting), Credence (for the slight reverse harem-esque), Robin Hood (for the vigilante arc), and oddly All the King’s Men Duet (for the romance and the “politics”).
I love her beyond limits because she loved me through what I forced her to endure. She loved me, though I made us impossible.
5 stars for Tobias aka the loml 🤧🤧🤧🤧
This book was written for us Tobias girlies. If you read Exodus and fell in love with this DELECTABLE, GRUMPY, ONLY HAS EYES FOR HIS GIRL, WILL KILL ANYONE WHO GLANCES AT HER, SMOOTH TALKING, PHILTHY MOUTHED, FINE SPECIMEN OF A FRENCH MAN 😮💨 then you will love this book 😌
This book was the journey of Tobias and Cecilia finding their way back to each other and learning to trust each other. I loved their journey🤧 It was so raw and real and Cecilia made my man Tobias work for her forgiveness!! The man groveled like no man has ever groveled before BUT it wasn't in any demeaning way you know? It didn't take away from his.. masculinity.. he groveled in a manly way🤣 It was a sight to behold 🙌 The tension???!?!?!!? Omg my heart was racing at some scenes and would have to actually fan myself😅
The book also cleared up so many more things and answered lingering questions through his pov. We learned so much about his heartbreaking history😭 and that made me love this man so much more, guys I'm so down bad🤧 How am I supposed to move on from him. I CAN'T🤧
CECILIA!!!! OMG talk about character development! She was such a badass in this book! She really held her own and I loved her for it!!
Now for the burning question: DID I CRY???? Yes💅 but mostly happy overwhelmed with love tears.
I miss him already 😞
Of course special thanks to Cha for listening to me yap😅 ilyyyy
Quotes bcz why not:
“Dream with me again, Cecelia. Dream a thousand more dreams with me, and I will make them all come true. I can give you promises. Promises I couldn’t before.”
“No matter how we came to be, we were and still are. You stole my heart, and you let me love you with it, and you made damn sure I knew where its home was.”
“No man on earth has ever loved a woman more than I love you.”
“Why can’t we just hate each other?” “Simple,” he murmurs, “We love each other too fucking much.”
Literally how am I supposed to not fall in love with this man when he says things like this??? IMPOSSIBLE!
----------------------------------------------- Pre-read Here for the French groveling 💅
So I was convinced to read this book after disliking the first two books due to the "Twist" everyone was obsessing about.
HA.
The first 60% of this book in "now" time is 100% pointless. She moaned and cried about wanting him back then the first 60% absolutely nothing happens, they don't go anywhere, they don't do anything, she just wears her PJ's and whines. Its all brooding and pretty much sums up why I hated her in the first two books, she has no personality other than being irritating AF. His backstory could have been done in a few chapters.
As for the "twist" turns out its just a plot, cause the first 60% was pointless. Honestly it was SO bad. Completely pointless, waste of my time, and I have no idea why everyone is obsessed with this.
She is a multimillionaire who had education, goals, as does he, and we have 400 pages of them floating about the back end of nowhere serving in a coffee shop. It wasn't even smutty.
Hardly any Ravenhood drama, don't get to hear about the meet-up, and the whole story of the president was pointlesss. I could rant about this book for DAYS, It had SUCH potential, but for me it just completely missed the mark. (SORRY!).
This was such an emotional and satisfying end to this series. From the start, I was in my feels with all of the flashbacks we got of certain characters growing up. I enjoyed how much Cecelia made Tobias grovel and how hard he had to work to earn her trust back. I do think the plot was mostly based in the past chapters for at least the first 60% of the book, and I wish more was going on in the present chapters. It was just more of a slow, cathartic experience that I still enjoyed but wanted a bit more from. The ending was fun and I really did appreciate how Cecelia had matured so much since book one. I finally got the answers I have wanted since the series started and I was definitely on board with the romance in this book! This was just a sweet ending to a series that was definitely an emotional ride.
I’m so grateful Kate Stewart decided not to write an epilogue but a full book for The Finish Line. Cause man she delivers. Big time! Now looking back on Exodus, after reading The Finish Line, I now know she’d only just scratched the surface of the one and only Tobias King. Thanks to this book the reader comes full circle not only with Tobias but also with Cecelia and his brothers Dominic, Sean and Tyler. What an accomplishment!
What happens after that final chapter in Exodus? The Finish Line will show you and so much more. It’s not just a ride off into the sunset. No. A lot happened in Exodus that affected and changed them all irrevocably. The relationships takes and needs time to nourish and heal.
It’s a sizzling slow burn and I reveled in it. Every single moment between the 2 MC’s are important and matters because of the journey they’re on. Their chemistry is on another level! When they finally come together it’s an explosion and I wasn’t prepared. Tobias King delivers the FUCK OF THE YEAR! Hail the king. I’m so glad he found his queen cause she’s always been his. From the first moment he laid eyes on her and in The Finish Line she shows her full potential and what she’s learned from the Tobias and his Ravenhood. Brilliant.
How did Tobias become THE Tobias King? What or who shaped him? All will be explored and it’s executed to perfection.
Kate Stewart has exceeded my expectations with The Finish Line. She gave me so much that I didn’t know I wanted or needed from these characters. Her storytelling, layers and attention to detail is awe inspiring. I can finally say goodbye to these characters cause they got the proper send off they deserve. They will definitely not be forgotten. Checkmate!
Inhale, exhale, breathe... An epilogue turned into a novel. Kate Stewart had grand ambitions to follow up on what she had already delivered with Flock and Exodus. Well just fucking wow because she did it. The Finish Line was captivating, devastating, glorious and a real bittersweet ending for the Ravenhood.
I love her beyond limits because she loved me through what I forced her to endure. She loved me, though I made us impossible.
This has been an epic love story with so many highs and lows. It immediately picks up after the ending of Exodus and it’s as raw as you would expect it to be. Tobias and Cecelia have sacrificed and lost so much, that it would never be easy returning to what they once had.
From a child Ezekiel Tobias King forfeited everything to avenge past wrongs. All for the sole purpose to create a better future for those he loved. It meant abstaining from a full life to achieve his goals. Falling in love was never part of the equation. And he did for awhile. He allowed himself until he had to break all ties and ultimately her.
With us, looking is love, fighting is love, fucking is love, and even now, while we muddle through our collective but distinctly different fears, it’s love.
Secrets and Lies. Cecelia was always destined to be caught in the crossfire. And keeping the love of a King would always be impossible. Their love came at a steep price to obtain and to lose. Now Tobias has returned, and he wants his Queen back. But when your heart and trust have been annihilated, what he is seeking is a huge ask.
I’m expecting huge fucking dividends on my investment, Mr. King, a big payoff. You break my trust, my fucking heart again, and I’ll put a bullet in you my damn self.
The Finish Line takes us back to the very beginning and gives us a full understanding of the Ravenhood. We revisit the path that Tobias, Dominic and Sean travelled, and the costs involved that bring us to present day. And amid this unveiling is the battle for love. A soul wrenching love to be rekindled between Tobias and Cecelia. It’s a road of remorse, forgiveness and regaining trust. Hence, it being complex, emotional and nostalgic when they finally get there in the end.
I’ve dreamt this dream a thousand times over the years, and both my heart and head know the way.
The entire Ravenhood series has felt like a spiritual journey. Each book has left me with a profound feeling of loss but also joy. It’s not often a book can mesmerise you and have you thinking about it for days. Honestly, what a ride and one that will have me feeling for days to come...
I truly think that this series changed my reading experience. There are some books that you read and within a few days time, you’ve already forgotten about them. Character’s name? gone. Plot? Blurry memory. How did it make you feel? You have no freaking clue. This will NEVER be said about this series because these characters marked you without your permission, obliterated your heart into scalding pieces and damn near send your blood pressure into dangerous territory. This wasn’t just a series… this was a glorious rollercoaster frenzy experience and I’m so glad that I took the ride.
It’s been 24 hours since I’ve read the words “The End” on The Finish Line and I still cannot put into words all of the things that I want to say. I was more than content with the ending of Exodus even though I secretly wanted more and when this book was announced, I was on cloud nine! This book was needed because these characters had much more to say and we were ready to listen.
From the flashbacks that gave us all the feels, to the raw emotions that Tobias and Cecelia portrayed between then and now, had me flipping me the pages at warped speed while having my hand over heart. These characters took us back to a place that we swore we would never revisit because it was just too much. These feelings took us out of our comfort zone and it changed us whether we liked it or not.
This was an extremely slow burn if I’m being honest and that was the only issue that I had with this story and aside from that, I really enjoyed it and I’m so happy that I was a part of Tobias and Cecilia’s world again. These two fought like hell for each other, their happiness, and they protected their loved ones with a fierceness like you wouldn’t believe. If you havent started this series yet, please do me a favor and bump these up on your tbr.
This series would be one of my top favourites for sure. I didn’t expect how this series would impact me so much just from a bunch of emotions I’ve felt on every single book (especially exodus omyfuckinggod)
I was soooo happy that we’ve got Tobias pov because I fully understand what I wanted to know since the first book. I also like the past and present from his pov which made me emotional again from what he had suffered. I love him so freaking so much.
Cecelia, girl I didn’t expect what she did at the 80% from the book. Even I have been caught by surprise. Protect her at all cost, honestly. I agree with what Tobias said to her about the love she gave to them. Because I want that kind of love too.
Am I gonna move on from this series? probably not. Is this series worth it? YES. 100% YES. I’LL RECOMMEND THIS SERIES TILL THE DAY I DIE.
Now I’m gonna listen to K by Cigarettes After Sex on repeat. again. Kate Stewart has taste <3
Thank God for giving us Tobias’s POV along with Cecelia’s—didn’t know how much I wanted it until I got it.
We dive deeper into Tobias’s past and his thoughts in this book and I AM IN LOVE with the smug, angry Frenchman, this manipulative asshole with the suits and the diabolical plans and the fiery ember eyes and the tousled onyx hair and the FRENCH.
ugh. give him ALL TO ME.
for a while there, wasn’t quite sure where the book was headed?? A LOT HAPPENED. so much so that I was literally like... there is NO WAY that i’m barely halfway into the book and yet it feels like i’ve read an entire novel and then some.
progression was good—some parts slow, but all were still meaningful and contributed to his story and theirs as a couple.
i love getting to experience the camaraderie of Tobias and the birds—friendships and brotherhoods like that are always some of my favorite parts in any book I read.
this book offers greater insight to Tobias’s life—his childhood, how his years shaped his future, what he did between age 11 and 43. what he’s had to sacrifice for his family, for them to get to where they needed to be, the love he had for Dom, which cmon... SAD AND WORTHY OF TEARS. seriously. it’s a crime.
the last page and the last line of this book, itty bitty tears clouding my vision. No full on sobbing, but the ache was there, just like exodus.
Tobias and Cecelia was endgame for me the moment I started book 2. Literally, that first page. I was like OH YES PLEASE tell me this is going where I think this is going. AND THERE IT WENT FOR SURE.
some parts were cringe for me, but nothing of the secondhand-embarrassment sort.
this book has it all—a strong heroine, a villain turned hero turned villain and overall hot, smug asshole, friendships that endure years, LOYALTY AND LOVE AND TENSION AND SPICE. and also some humor that landed perfectly, so thanks for making me smile and giggle.
probably going to be one of my go-to series. they read SO SO FAST even though I said that it felt like i read two novels in one with this, but you get so invested with them, it’s hard to put down the book.
I especially loved that Cecelia put him through the ringer—that it wasn’t just this quick and easy let’s-push-everything-under-the-rug. No, she said WORK FOR IT MY GUY, especially if you want back in these (flannel pajama 😉) pants.
I am in love, I have been devoured, and if by the end of this review, you’re still wondering if you need to read the series?
I only have one word, 17 letters for you... ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY
ALSO OMG!! here’s a quote from one of my OG shows that’s literally stuck with me forever and definitely reminded me of the book:
“Some say ravens point travelers in the right direction. Some say a single raven is a sight of good fortune to come, but a sight of many ravens means trouble ahead.” TYSM Lucas Scott and OTH 😂🥰
I think how much you like this book depends on how much you like Tobias. And I cannot get over his betrayal and I couldn’t connect with him or his relationship with Cecelia. So considering this was 450 pages of second chance romance and grovelling I couldn’t get into it 😥 I also feel like it was 100 pages TOO long! I wasn’t overly interested in the flash backs, and didn’t feel that this book was necessary, I did see she said it was originally meant to be a duet and I feel she should’ve kept it that way!
I just wanted Cecelia to be happy, and was happy to see her find it- and it gave me some closure I needed after Exodus ❤️
The Ravenhood series was definitely interesting. I thought the writing style was kind of poor, the books lacked character growth, and the storyline was often confusing.
Excuse me, who left this bowl of onions here tf🤧 4.5 stars
For the longest time, and I mean the first like 60%, I truly thought this book was unnecessary. That it should've stayed a novella and this trilogy should've stayed a duet.
I'm sorry but Someone needed to punch some sense into me
Only now that I'm finished I realise that it would just not be complete as a novella. The emotional impact this book had on me would not have been there. It started out slow but I promise you the outcome is worth it.
Exodus ended a little open ended but with a HEA nonetheless. This book is everything that comes after. It shows all the blood, sweat & tears that go into keeping those HEAs.
I will forever be shocked by Kate Stewart's talent. Her writing is phenomenal in my opinion. I wasn't just reading this, I was breathing & living it. I WAS Tobias. I felt his pain, his determination, his love, fears and grief. I felt him on a level I've rarely ever felt a character before. Tobias is officially my favourite character of this series.
The Finish Line was essentially one big prologue AND epilogue filled with the longest grovel in history. The chapters from the past take us through Tobias's life from when he was a newly orphaned 11 year old, to a man who gradually built an empire from absolutely nothing.
The present chapters are all about Cecelia & Tobias overcoming their past and learning to trust each other again. Of course for the sake of entertainment, we had a lil angst sprinkled into the plot, which ultimately ended in a plot twist I actually didn't see coming. Which is impressive since I knew beforehand there would be a plot twist, so I had my guesses. They didn't even come close.
So many questions were answered, which quite frankly I never even thought to ask before. I needed this last book, I never knew it, but I did.
Oh god and the ending. I am fucking destroyed. That epilogue butchered me. I am a splotchy, snotty, wet mess AND IT IS ALL YOUR FAULT MISS STEWART.
I am going to say this not for the first time and definitely not the last: THIS SERIES IS SO FUCKING GOOD, AND IT DESERVES MORE LOVE. k that's it.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
My heart is aching because it's over. This is 100% a series I will reread (even though heartbreak is around every corner).
I'm glad Kate Stewart gave us this book because I feel that it was needed to wrap everything up as nicely as it possibly could be wrapped up. I think she said her longest "epilogue" ever ... and it's funny but kind of true. It was the epilogue we all needed (and wanted).
I will forever recommend this series to anyone who will listen to me, because I need someone to cry with and talk about this with.
5+ 'Change the rules' Stars! ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.
I thought that no other book could destroy me as much as Exodus did. And I mean that in the best way I can express it. I am utterly speechless after finishing the conclusion to one of the best trilogies I’ve had the pleasure of reading. Kate Stewart, you did it. You did it, girl. This woman is one of my top favorite romance authors and I don’t know why I am still surprised by her talent but she is just that: an incredibly gifted human being who knows what she is doing. In short, The Finish Line is ABSOLUTELY FLAWLESS.
This is the third and final installment in Kate’s The Ravenhood trilogy and it’s the epic conclusion of a story that cannot be described just as a love story. Without giving away any spoilers, we are finally getting the whole truth about the Ravenhood. And we are finally into Tobias’ head and past. This isn’t just the epic love story between these two outstanding characters, this is the story of what started it all and how it developed until now. Want to get inside Tobias’ head? Want to know what happens with him and Cecelia? Want to know more about Sean, Dominic and the whole Ravenhood? You cannot miss reading this then.
The devil is in the details, and I remember my devil well.
Stop what you are doing. Like, STOP. You have to read this trilogy if you haven’t. It’s not an easy one. It’s a roller coaster. It’s full of suspense, secrets, betrayal, hate, love. It has it all. It sure is an epic ride. A ride that Kate Stewart has written flawlessly. If you have read the other two installments, do you think the woman would be able to break us all over again after Exodus? I though she couldn’t get any better. But boy, was I wrong! I don’t know why I am still surprised though because I do think Kate can write anything, doing it amazingly well and make us adore it. She keeps killing it with her unique love stories and this one is no exception.
“Ma chatte. Mon corps. Ma femme. Mon cœur. Ma vie.” My pussy. My body. My woman. My heart. My life.
Yes, I am not giving anything away. I don’t want to mess this beautiful and moving story for anyone. I am just going to say, Cecelia, Tobias, Sean, Dominic, Tyler and every single one of these characters go through a whole fucking lot to get to the finish line but it was worth it. It was OH SO WORTH IT. What an outstanding world Kate has created. I am still amazed of how she did this whole thing. And Tobias *sigh* My king. Wow. What a hero. I am in awe. I love him and my heart still hurts for him and the Ravenhood. And Cecelia. The woman kicks some serious ass and I love her for it. What an amazing heroine. And together? Damn, these two. THAT CHEMISTRY. Still blows my mind. What an outstanding pair!
In her eyes, I see it all, including my redemption.
So, as you can imagine, I can only give The Finish Line my special 5+ STARS rating because it deserves nothing less. The Ravenhood trilogy has been a highly emotional journey for me (and I am sure for many others), one I thought I would not enjoy because of the mystery around the first book. But, I could not be any more wrong. I am SO GLAD I was wrong! Because this is one of the best series Kate has written and she has given it and these beloved characters the epic conclusion they deserved. If you still haven’t read this, I highly recommend you do because this romantic suspense is one of the best I’ve ever read. Well done, Kate, well fucking done!
I really enjoyed this last book and was surprised how much stuff there still was to find out.
I did however enjoy the first two books more but when you have this much going on in the storyline very few books are five star reads all the way through, and there is nothing wrong with that.
I think the author did a great job with the series, and the storyline felt very balanced and complete, I really enjoyed this series and would recommend it to others.
Ok so first up, if you haven't read the first 2 books then please don't walk but run to download them onto your kindle right now and also please don't read this review because you gotta go in blind.
Holy fuck guys, I feel like when I read the last page of this book I could finally let out a breath. What a ride. I honestly loved the conclusion to Exodus so so much and even though we got that happy ending I felt like Kate had put a band-aid on an amputation. I needed more, I needed healing, I had to see with my own eyes the proof that these two star crossed lovers would make it.
This book was so fucking phenomenal. Being inside Tobias King's head was such a treat and what a man he is. I think he has been elevated to the book HUSBAND shelf which he shares at the moment with only 1 other man and that is Maxen Ash Colchester (New Camelot Trilogy) and the similarities between the two of them is eerie! I clearly have a book husband type ha!
Not gonna lie, this book was incredibly sad for the obvious reasons. Spanning back to when Tobias, Dom, Sean and Tyler were kids we get so much insight into how the Ravenhood was started and what motivated them. There were a lot of surprises along the way and nothing felt like a "retelling from a different POV" as some authors are prone to do when introducing a new POV in an existing story.
Some of the revelations in this story absolutely shook me to my core and changed my perception of things from the previous books.
I'm so glad we got to see Tobias and Cecelia heal one another and boy was it hard at time to witness but together they are just magic. It'd be remiss of me to not mention that the steam between these two was offfff.the.fucking.charts. Dear god, where do I find me a Tobias?
Cecelia was such a goddamn Queen, everything she's been put through, all the things she has achieved just made me love her even more.
I'm going to keep on rambling to the 3 people that read my reviews so I'll stop here but Kate, if you ever read reviews, thanks for giving us this, I know this book must have been so hard for you but damn it, you did SO GOOD!!
𝟎𝟕/𝟎𝟓/𝟐𝟒 ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ 4/5★’s I went into this with such low expectations because of the other two trainwrecks but I’m amazed by what I read and felt reading this. Tobias King that man has me drooling and on my knees for his deep voice and accent. Can Ceceilia fight? Babe I love you but I want your man 🫦🦋 And Dom I love you but it’s Tobias endgame for me, I’ll still bark for your fine ass though <3

This book will be the death of me, I was NOT prepared for the heartbreak that came with this. Ngl I didn’t want to read this book at first because of Dom and Cecelia’s story ending but I’m so glad I gave Tobias a chance because it was so much better. The angst, tension, push & pull, longing, heartbreak and the emotions that this book got out of me was insane. This series was truly amazing and I’m so glad Bruna talked me into starting this trilogy, these characters will always hold a special place in my heart (except Sean).
ˋ°•*⁀➷ Tobias “Daddy” King When I tell you I was down bad for this man I mean it. One book… that’s all it took and he already made it to the husband list. YALL ARE MISSING OUT ON THE AUDIO BECAUSE THIS MAN’S DEEP VOICE AND ACCENT DID WONDERS TO ME LIKE KEEP TALKING BABY 🫦 When he spoke dirty to her in French… OH GOSH SOMEBODY CATCH ME I WAS WEAK IN THE KNEES🧎♀️ Aside from all that, being able to read Tobias’s POV’S was truly captivating especially getting to be inside his head and getting to know more about his life and how he was thinking and feeling really added more of that character depth and the emotional aspect which is important when it comes to establishing the connection I had developed reading this book. He made mistakes but he learned and matured from it which is what helped shape him into becoming the person he was now. The person truly worthy of deserving Cecelia again.
I love Dominic and I will forever but I think if what happened in Exodus didn’t happen then there’s a chance I wouldn’t be feeling this way. But there’s something about this book, maybe it’s the way the character was written or how I connected with them but in this book it just felt right that Tobias was the endgame. Like it was always meant to be Tobias and not anyone else. The moment Tobias appeared it just felt right, like he was the MMC and I think something was just missing for Dom and Sean to not make me feel that way. I feel like the author didn’t give me much of Dom and I’m saying this before everything happened in Exodus to him. The connection in this one felt like it was the author's purpose all along, Tobias actually knew what he wanted, went for it and wasn’t willing to share her with anyone else unlike what the other two were playing. I truly felt more connected and believed it with Tobias and Ceceilia than I did with Dom and the rat Sean.
ˋ°•*⁀➷ Cecelia Horner The character development was good. I couldn't stand her in the previous books, she annoyed me so much from her being so gullible, naive, and immature but the girl was just longing for love so I won’t blame her for it. She actually matured a lot here and the development was good, she was so strong here and knew her self worth and what she wanted and how she expected to get it. I’m so glad she put Tobias in his place and made him work his way back into her graces again. The groveling was needed and top tier, like I love you Tobias but you BETTER GROVEL. She was smarter and learned and made sure she got treated right again like the queen she is. That groveling was needed because now she got the King and love she deserved.
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ Quotes I’ll love forever “𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙝𝙪𝙧𝙩𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙝𝙪𝙧𝙩𝙨 𝙢𝙚.”
"A man who built a worthy army but fought too many battles alone." - Cecelia
When I started the Finish Line, I didn't think much of it because I already saw the end of Dominic and Cecelia's relationship, so there was nothing for me to look forward to. I just loved their relationship and relationship only to be honest. However, this book was more based on Tobias' perspective and as we dived into his childhood and how he built his empire through the difficult years with and without his brothers by his side.
"I haven't spoken a word to my brother since he died. Every day I wonder if he waits for word from me. And even with the guilt that he might be waiting, I can't find the words. I don't know if I ever will."
Reading his story made me feel ache for him. If you have read the series, you would know by now that everyone in this book had a hard time, but Tobias' life was one of the saddest ones. Witnessing his life throughout the pages made me think that this book was not an ordinary romance book. It was much more and deeper than that.
"As much as I thought I knew about these men, as deeply as I've loved them and understood them as they were when I entered their lives, Tobias was right—there was an evolution that took place long before me, that didn't include me, and had absolutely nothing to do with me. And these are the times for which Tobias grieves most, for a relationship I only got a rare glimpse of before tragedy struck. The end to a history I was never privy to. Though Tobias has told me stories, I didn't quite understand it fully until this moment, the meaning behind every action, every detail, because I'm holding the original blueprint in my hand. This isn't just my love story. It never was." - Cecelia
After finishing a series like this where I fall in love with the characters and the world they lived in, that made me feel like I was part of it, leaves me in the biggest reading slump. I can't move on to next one nor I want to. I just want to sit and feel sad for a few days, whether it's a sad ending or a happy one.
