The 90s cartoons were my gateway into X-Men so I'll always view them with nostalgia goggles. These adaptations however were new to me and I've read this book primarily because I was curious whether or not to buy the omnibus. Reading these first issues was enjoyable, but I didn't feel they really added something new to the cartoon. If anything, these seemed like an abbreviated version of the episodes.
What I liked: It's still the stories I loved as a kid. The art in the action sequences is 90s epic.
What I didn't like: sometimes, some of the faces look weird (Jubilee in particular, but also Jean or Xavier)
Brilliant comic. Literally felt like I was back watching the series at me Nan’s house in the morning. The artwork is incredible and really really hope the MCU version can top the characters dynamics and development. Loved the solo Wolverine issue. What a team too! Such a great combination of development of lesser known characters and inter grating them with more well known characters.
