Milly Gray is in the back of a speeding car, hundreds of miles from home, but she isn’t dead yet - regardless of what the police think. Sawyer Bennett is sure of that, even though she has no evidence that her best friend is alive. She doesn’t know that she is trying to find a girl that was never real in the first place.
Found this book on tiktok, not really knowing what I’m getting myself into at first but I’m really glad I stumbled upon one of the videos. Really well written story that has you hooked since moment one and when you think you know exactly what’s going on, it throws another surprise at you. Friendship of the girls was written so beautifully and believably. Read you will not regret & as a bonus the author was such a nice person to talk to ❤️
Wow!! I didn’t expect that ending. This is a new author for me & the book was free to read & I’m so glad I read this. Journey about 2 bffs since they were little Sawyer & Milly. I really enjoyed this read as I thought I knew what was happening when Milly (14yrs) goes missing along with her dad Quinn …but boy was I wrong the ending was a huge twist I didn’t see coming.
It was worth the read & was well written. I’d definitely read another book from this author if this book has anything to go by.
"The 7 Lives of Milly Gray" By: Cholena Maurer ENJOYABLE. DARK. TWIST. This books starts off with 14 year old Milly being driven away from her hometown. Who is she with? Where is she going? The story continues with her best friend Sawyer trying to find her. This book was enjoyable, dark at times, and a shocking ending! I wanted to be mad at the ending, but I wasn't! The story moves along bouncing from Sawyer's perspective to Milly's perspective. The writing is intelligent and at times, I forgot I was reading about teenagers. The adults in the story were very likable! The parents were modern, open minded and treated their kids as the mature young adults they are! Lots of twists and turns! This is a new author for me and I would definitely read more
Truly one of my favourite books on the planet. It's full of incredible characters, exciting (read: totally devastating) twists, and so much tension that I couldn't put the book down. I highly recommend this novel. Cho is an incredible author and I'm certain there will be many more amazing stories to come. Definitely one to watch, but for now, do yourself a favour and read The 7 Lives of Milly Gray. You won't regret it.
i went into this book not reading the blurb - i received it from a goodreads giveaway - and it was pleasantly surprising how good it was! the only thing that confused me was the chapters that sawyer made up from milly’s point of view, but i really enjoyed the story (even though parts of the ending were sad). but it was overall a happy ending which i appreciated and i loved the friendship aspect too!
A real page turner and a book I couldn’t put down. Fast paced and exciting from start to finish but written with great empathy and feeling for the characters . I can’t wait for the next one
I won this book in a giveaway. I was completely surprised about the plot twist. Never did I think Milly’s side of the story was a story made up by Sawyer.
